Blogger Unknown said ... (9:19 AM) :

Personally, I think the second outfit looks like a pair of very expensive pajamas. But i still like it, somehow ;)
Love her jacket i the first picture.

That top look is seriously how women should be dressing now. Feminine with a rugged edge. I also love that she plays up her legs with the short hemline. Total inspiration to wear out this weekend!

aah Milano, you find the most beautiful women there..

Blogger KristiMcMurry said ... (9:32 AM) :

I actually really love her outfit in the bottom picture. I agree with Riri, it looks like pjs...BUT she works the pjs like not many people could! Plus, have you ever seen pajamas that fit that well? I don't think so.

Blogger AM said ... (10:19 AM) :

She always seems to have so much fun in her outfits which is a big factor in being able to pull them off. I love her.

Anonymous Lou* said ... (10:19 AM) :

Confidence really is the best accessory - the pj suit = fearless!

Would love a close up of her rings they look very cool!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:23 AM) :

I generally love your shots. Normally, I find the people, the style and the photos equally breath-taking. But I'm having a hard time appreciating this woman. Her shoes in both shots seem coarse. I really don't like the combination of the grey/silver bag with the green and white in the first outfit. And I'm really not feeling that pajama suit at all. Even as pajamas go, that outfit is pretty ugly.

Even so, it's really great to see the variety out there and these shots made me think carefully about why I was responding negatively to them. So thanks so much again. I look at your site every day and it's superb.

Anonymous Liz said ... (10:27 AM) :

Oh my god... she's a virtuosa. Not many people could pull off the floral black suit, head to toe (on me, this would look like pajamas) ... but man, this woman is WORKIN' it! Love the simplicity of her first outfit - white dress, khaki jacket, brown sandals ... lovely. Thanks for posting these, Scott!

Blogger Prutha Raithatha said ... (10:39 AM) :

the second outfit is interesting... looks like a pj but if its different and u can pull it off, ill buy it :)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:53 AM) :

Is it just me or do her shoes in the first shot look too small for her feet? (note the toe claws)

Blogger Papillon Vintage said ... (10:58 AM) :

On anyone else, I would declare the pantsuit outdated. However, she carries it brilliantly!

I love both outfits! It's truly exciting to see a woman who is brave to try combinations from which other women would otherwise shy away. The juxtaposition of the delicate white lace dress with the rough-n-ready army green fatigue jacket & the sexy strappy heels...Fantastic! The matching "pajama" outfit is superb, perfect for hot, muggy summers in Milan. The patterns on the pj might be too much at first, but it works beautifully because the background color in grounded in black...the remaining colors, which are few, are muted and not blaring and ostentatious. And the pattern design is great! The shoes and glasses, and the wonderful confidence & attitude complete the whole beautiful picture!

Blogger BasicbutChic said ... (1:03 PM) :

I really enjoy the second one because it's most risky. But she have a great sens of style mainly with her selection of accessories : wonderfull shoes, glasses and watch : all of this makes an incredible "Allure".

Anonymous Zenobiar said ... (5:11 PM) :

She's a lovely woman but there's a not of fashion victimism going on here. There seem to be too many trends especially in the first photo. Maybe if she left off the coat or the metallic bag or the chunky sandals she'd escape the charge of trying too hard.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:38 PM) :

I didn't see the second outfit as PJ's but as an oriental silk suit. I loved it, she has such long lean legs that it works. I like the red toenail and fingernail polish with it. I like white lacey dresses for summer, they work. She makes it slightly tough by wearing the khaki jacket over top. It is exactly the right length.

Anonymous Rihanna said ... (6:46 PM) :

I think she has very nice legs...

Anonymous Hitomi said ... (7:01 PM) :

Anonymous Ladybird said ... (12:52 AM) :

I adore the top outfit, it's a great mix - fragile lace dress with the toughness of the army parka.

Make me wish I had tanned legs, it's a look I would be working.

However the bottom oputfit reminds me of 70's wallpaper.

Blogger Fourth Daughter said ... (2:15 AM) :

Fabulous suit.. reminds me of the Chinese pyjama suits I used to wear (with lacy socks and sandals!!) when I was little, but she looks just *slightly* more stylish!

Anonymous  said ... (4:52 AM) :

Dolce e Gabbana made a pj inspired collection last year if i I am not mistaken. When I saw it I thought that it was absolutely unique but quite unstylish to be worn. I thought that whoever bought one piece of it would keep it in the wordrobe as a collector's object. And now...seeing it worn by Vivianna...I am amazed by it. It's classy. It's comfortable and definately romantic. She makes it so real! I am convinced that not all designer clothes are for everyone and that some persons-like Vivianna!- have the inborn elegance to wear everything and make it look amazing!Excellent!
PS The first take is great! Mix and perfectly match look!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:41 AM) :

who would have thought that head-to-toe wallpaper could make someone look so tall and elegant? I love the rolled sleeves; a nice touch.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:23 AM) :

wow, I guess she changed her shoes (in the first pic)! Lovely Garance showed her in the exactly same outfit, wearing the same bag (a transparent Prada) but sporting Prada chandeliers. http://www.garancedore.fr/en/2010/06/21/hier-a-milan-chez-moncler/

Personally, I prefer these brown leather heels to those, which are not flattering at all (no matter how beautiful your legs are, IMHO)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:26 AM) :

Blogger 82Brute said ... (7:00 PM) :

Yay! I want to see more women "of a certain age" featured here, (although she's probably just shy of fitting that category.) With all of the figure challenges incumbent with female aging, it gets harder and harder to zero in on fresh looks that express our individuality without looking silly. This woman is long and lean enough to wear pretty much anything. I love the first look--her hair is lovely and free and she has fabulous posture, but I'm going to take off points for the ill-fitting shoes. (Never good to have your toes hanging off the front of your shoes.) What's wonderful to me about the second look is that she's completely owning it--she wears it with authority and without apology. Only a woman who's in charge of her destiny could wear this so well. Brava.

Blogger Fashionlass said ... (3:21 PM) :

Oh, wow.
I LOVE that flower-print suit.
It takes a woman who is unafraid to show her style to wear that... and who is, let's face it, pretty slim. Not too sure just anybody could pull that off.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:56 PM) :

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:31 PM) :

I don't know if I love either outfit but her smile is radiant. In that regard, she could have on a lawn and leaf garbage bag with shoulderpads and a belt and still rock the world!
