Love these photos, it looks like it was such an amazing and fun event! And, of course, the style featured in all these shots is amazing.

I love the second photo. That is a perfect example of how gentleman should wear their trousers/pants. Just on the belly button. Also unique seeing the suspender buttons on the outside as opposed to the inside.
So nice, this series!
It really transports me into another age.
And very great photos, too. My faves are number two and three.
love,
szucs
i am so in love with the last one!

This type of party seems like a very trendy thing to do of late. Fun photographs:)
Ouigi of BKC!! I always love his style.
Aw man, I love it! I can almost hear the music in the background. And the hair on the first guy, really hot, and I'm glad that hair-style is starting to catch on, it's super cool!
I look forward to your pictures from this event every year! By far my favorite posting from you.
these make me smile (:
Their style is so inspiring! I wish more men dressed like that these days!

LOVE the man's ring in the second photo.
That may be my favorite picture of Mr. Arenella ever!
scott, these posts from the jazz parties are always great. what are these parties exactly? who goes? looks like total fun.
ps. the third photo is a total replica of how my design professor dresses every day, minus suspenders :) makes for a great atmosphere around the studio as you can imagine
thanks,

Every year, these are some of my favorite! This looks like a party I want to go to, where's my flapper dress?
These pictures surely make me wish I was born in a previous age. The guy in the last picture (bartender from a previous post) makes style look easy...
What beautiful pictures! I feel like I am right there dancing!
I love the Jazz Age Styling, to me it evokes the same 'cool' that the music of the era had.
I love the emotion in the first two!

so timeless
Love the 2nd one so much!!!
Stylish all. Suspenders are fabulous.
I'm entering my 7th year of dance and I wanna do a jazz solo, and my dance teacher let's me pick my song I wanna dance to.I wanna dance to "Party In the USA" by Miley Cyrus. If I can't dance to that then what is a good upbeat song to dance to? Thanks :)
Chardham tour operators
I love all the browns in the last photo; it's practically sepia-toned, apart from that blue and purple splash. The color scheme really echoes the vintage-ness.
bravo bravo
oooo how beauty :) love them !! ;D

Fantastic, esp the first man and guy in sailor t-shirt!
These pictures make me very happy. The reason being that the first two pictures remind me of a few of my friends :]
Oh my, the 2nd man, looks like a black brad pitt! awesome event!
Both this post and the previous one are a real treat - Keep them coming!
You're a tremendous photographer! And these people are f***ing awesome!! great style!
this looks amazingly fun!
like traveling back in time to a really great moment of music & style.
Thanks for these pics--seeing all sorts of people having fun working their styles and dancing together made me smile!
Many times I was taking photos jazz musician, but I've never photograhed people dancing jazz. It's a great idea to see that jazz culture is still alive. As Louis Amostrong said:“If you have to ask what jazz is, you'll never know.”
Absolutely LOVE these pictures!!!
SO adorable and classy looking! Wish i was there!!

It's funny to discover the "Gavroche's french style" with the photo number 3 (and always the magical black and white shoes)
oh my gosh love the ring on the man in the second photo !!! such interesting colors !
love those boatman straw hats!!!
xoxo

Me encanta el chico de la Tatoos en los brazos!! Un Diez con su estilismo
How fun, the second pic is beautiful!
OH these just make me SWOON! The effort that goes into the ensembles is fantastic. I'm now nostalgic for a time when I wasn't even close to being born.
Love love love!
PS btw suspenders rock!!!

Love the plaid jacket on the guy playing trumpet. Fantastic!!!!
the black man is amazing.
I love it! Especially the second picture down. Looks like a 20s version of Richie Havens. Wonderful <3
I love this, wish I was there. I want the hat to come back <3
love the guy squatting with the tattoos. there's a true scum of the earth vibe going on here.
God, this looks like a greta place to meet a whole lot of stylish and ineteresting people!
Trumpet guy is pretty stunning. Looks like Jude Law a bit.
Amazing stuff, Scott & the lawn party does it again. The guy in pic #2 is flawless, he is always interestingly dressed. He's part of The Brooklyn Circus boutique. Their blog is very inspirational, www.thebkcircus.com
The guy with the tatoos is effortless, very cool.
I love these shots a bit more than pt 1. They are showing movement and color both which compliments the jazz look exceedingly more so than the black and white photos which appear more still.
You were there last year, weren't you? It seems to be a good place to dance! I love this jazzy spirit, it is so inspiring.
OMG--I am just losing myself in these photos of the Governors Island Dance Party. Splendid!
again, beautiful pictures!
I would really like one of those jackets myself... and a couple of the adorable straw hats... oh and an invitation to the Governers Island Dance PLEASE! X
I like those boater hats and the spectator shoes. The guy with the tattoos is perfect.
You've just dosed me with a load of nostalgia, even though I wasn't even alive when these looks where n their heyday. As always, you've captured these people and the atmosphere in a truly beautiful way. Thank you, as always. :)
http://fashionregardless.blogspot.com/
I've seen the first photo musician play & sing with his band in NYC, and love them. He's the real deal :)
it´s really beautiful, it´s like a movie about these years
:)
OMG! WOW! I just don't know what to say--I am in love with these people and their looks. Your photos of them just shine. As a collector, seller and lover of vintage clothing this is total perfection of this era. Where do I start with what I love? I shall try and keep it simple...hah!
Love the first guy's hair, jacket and expression. The 2nd guy's braces are trousers are incredible--not to mention his arm and ring. The 3rd photo is just allover amazing--I want to meet this person. The moustache and tie on the last fellow is beeeutiful!
I also don't necessarily see these clothes as being unwearable for our lives now--they are stylish, chic and interesting--they flatter the person who knows how to wear them--so nostalgic while they are, they shouldn't only be.
Voon looks fantastic (in the b+w). Thanks for capturing his stylish and energetic spirit so beautifully!

Fantastic photos! They convey the spirit of the party.
The gentleman in the second picture is so beautiful! Everything about him is perfect. Great pictures, they really convey the spirit of the party.
You always seem to capture the greatest moments. How do you spot them? And I love the polka-dotted bow tie in the first image.
they all look like from another age and this is awsome!
awesome over load!!! *brain explosion*
xo.
I love the fashion in these photos! They look very costumy... were the portraying other characters?
This series is always a highlight. What fun, and the top two photos (the man with the trumpet and the man with the fab beard/hat/biceps..!) are just killer.
The man in the first picture looks like Clark Gable from Gone with the Wind!
The Jazzy feel to these photographs is amazing
I love these styles. Very charming. Make me want to scream Erkin Bekbolotov
love these pics
http://anmarkdesign.blogspot.com/
I LOVE this
Seriously how beautiful is the man in the 2nd photo! Does anyone know him so we can be friends? LOL
Every year you post these pics I think "Dang! I gotta go to that event" and here it is, another year wasted! Love all the photos, all the clothes, and of course this blog!
The hats! The braces! The shoes! THE TROUSERS.
Seriously, the trousers are amazing.
Amazing pictures. I especially like 1 and 4 look. Mustache, tattoo and jacket, I like it.
http://urarchitecture.blogspot.com
I can't get over how cool the 2nd guy is. The ultimate man's man.
Pic#2 took my breath away !
The gentleman at the very top of this post(white long sleeve, orange bow tie, high waist chocolate trousers and awesome facial hair) is from a company called Brooklyn Circus. Great brand, the have one here in San Francisco on Fillmore St. Wee-Gee is his name, if I remember correctly. :)
Everything from the employees to the layout of the shop is very cohesive.
Scott, great blog! You've actually inspired me to create a high end fashion blog for the City of San Francisco. Check it out when you have a chance : www.theavant-gardist.com
Amazing. Again! Do you go to this every year I remember loving a similar set of photos last year too. Favorites - the man with the plaid blazer and the one with the straw hat. Perfect summer outfits
Now that is quite a beard!
look! it's my "boyfriend" again in the last pic. i remember him from an earlier post.
liking the rugby tux jacket in the 1st pic!
Amazing pics, I love the man with the beard! :)
