Anonymous LA Film Actress said ... (6:51 PM) :

I wonder if maroon is the new navy/black for men? I was just looking at the photos from the "Twilight" world premiere in L.A. (I happened to be there) and noticed that its lead actor Robert Pattinson was wearing a maroon suit. I thought it was rather odd, but now I see another guy in maroon on your site.

I always wonder when I see people in disparate locations wearing similar things what sort of collective unconscious is at work to create these fashion trends.

His outfit doesn't make a big statement, but his hair, chiseled bone structure and overall attitude do. :)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:13 PM) :

Love the outfit. Dont care for the flipflops at all. Those things should be banned.

Blogger i.dk said ... (7:13 PM) :

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:44 PM) :

Love the picture, the colors and his style!

Anonymous Tracy said ... (7:49 PM) :

This is a no nonsense guy. Ziplock and flip flops. He just needs some duck tape to make a strap and turn the ziplock into a messenger bag. BTW – his colors are the same as Sri Lankan Buddhist monks robes.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:10 PM) :

I love the fact that you could pull off a real classy look and casual it down with a pair of flip flops, wish we could do it down here in NZ despite the horrid weather..

Blogger Ocean in Between said ... (8:12 PM) :

when are you going to be back in NY, this European thing is getting old for some of us :-/

Blogger may yang said ... (8:12 PM) :

Red wine colour <3

Blogger Unknown said ... (8:46 PM) :

if you go for the starved model look... this guy is smoking!
ahem...

If he actually wore the long-sleeved shirt, I don't think the outfit would be quite as good. The white muscle shirt makes the other colors pop.

Blogger KC said ... (8:47 PM) :

oh he looks so cool.

How Wonderful !

Anonymous LibbyK said ... (9:44 PM) :

I love the berry colors. It looks as if he might have steeped his white tee in the wash with the other wine-shaded items.

wrong on every level. Burgundy scrubs? must be laundry day.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:19 PM) :

Nice that he can step out onto the street extremely casual, like he's taking the trash out, or whatever, but he's all color coordinated. Pretty cool.

Blogger Lucas Jones said ... (12:13 AM) :

his hair is perfect!

Blogger kathrynnova said ... (1:24 AM) :

i really enjoy the flip in his hair. he seems to exude a warmth and an ease that makes me feel as though i'm looking through the lens at him, wanting to feel the moment and record it.

it seems you've really become one with your camera, scott. there is a sense now in your photos that the camera has disappeared and we are only completely sharing your eyes. i think this is one of my favorite photos...

Blogger Liz S said ... (1:27 AM) :

Nice feet and those thongs are forever the go. I like all of him really.

Anonymous Kazuko said ... (1:54 AM) :

this guy looks like a dancer stepped out from "fame". like the picture!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:14 AM) :

Truly interesting... he seems to have somewhat off-kilter, Kevin McHale-ish (or Micheal Phelps-ish) body proportions, but the proportions of the clothes work beautifully with them. He looks sort of like a High Modernist sculpture.

Blogger thwany said ... (2:27 AM) :

everything minus the flip-flops is great

Blogger J.Ro said ... (2:49 AM) :

I once took the Fung Wa Bus to Boston with my clothes packed in a plastic ziplock; he pulls it off with much more grace.

Blogger Jacqueline said ... (3:00 AM) :

I like the demanding look in his eyes...

Blogger girlfromholland said ... (3:00 AM) :

I like so much about this photo. The hair, the facial expression and just hów he wears his outfit

Blogger Unknown said ... (3:18 AM) :

Well, nice colors on a comfy almost pyjama outfit. If the guy weren't really good looking..well we would not be looking at the photo, which is very nice.

Blogger TheStreetFashion5xpro said ... (3:22 AM) :

love your color story...fab shot

Blogger Gary said ... (3:49 AM) :

Blogger Jacqueline said ... (7:32 AM) :

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:32 AM) :

I like it when you present models outside of their work and into their everyday clothes. Clement Chabernaud is one of my favorite male models and seeing him in this outfit makes want to get something purple, or is that eggplant? Effortlessly stylish and casual.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:37 AM) :

Love the bag.

Blogger LOwe said ... (2:18 PM) :

love !

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:26 PM) :

I like the colour combinations of this too. The pants are kind of strange, a little too short, the crotch is baggy and there is elastic at the leg. But it works.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:00 PM) :

Wft, har to look at the gorgeous clothcombo when the guy is fucking dashing, mmmmm, yummie :D

Blogger the nickel fit said ... (4:34 PM) :

more monotone! love it.

Anonymous Marianna said ... (5:16 PM) :

That is the definiton of effortless style! I love the red scale.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:38 PM) :

Such a refreshing color to see during the summer. Makes the pink tee shirt look interesting instead of ironic.

Blogger mia said ... (6:59 PM) :

this picture is just adorable

Blogger Linda Lu said ... (7:27 PM) :

wow a man in maroon! how spiffy!

Blogger FJB said ... (8:28 PM) :

I guess if you are that hot that the water bottle is a mandatory accessory. Perfectly casual. Love it.

Blogger Big City Nights said ... (8:13 AM) :

This guy could make laundry day look good.

Blogger Kathleen said ... (9:22 AM) :

He looks like a model on his day off. A bit too "I'm going for an audition for Cats" for me, but still he is lovely and I like his choice of colors. Very suave!

Blogger Unknown said ... (1:33 PM) :

What a great (sport) outfit. Sportswear that looks more high fashion? Impossible!

Change the shoes and this look could easily make it onto the runway - e.g. at Bottega Veneta.

THE MAN MAKETH THE OUTFIT - THE OUTFIT NOT MAKETH THE MAN

I LIKE THIS GUYS LEVEL OF NONCHALANCE
HE HAS A VERY LITHESOME SHAPE AND THIS IS WHAT REALLY COMES ACROSS HERE - BERRY COLOURS ALSO WORK WELL AGAINST A GOLDEN TAN SO THIS IS QUITE COMPLIMENETARY ALTHOUGH WITHOUT THE GUY THIS OUTFIT ON ANYONE ELSE WOULD BE RATHER DULL

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:03 AM) :

A plastic bag on Sartorialist? You must have REALLY liked this style!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:24 AM) :

An off-duty model needs to wear flip-flops to give his feet a rest after being stuffed bare into shoes on the catwalk - and he has rather gorgeous feet so why not show them off??

Blogger Vinidive said ... (11:32 PM) :

Nope. Maybe for sleeping.

Blogger NN said ... (4:14 AM) :

I like the look, and clearly he's very good looking, but really, he has a stain on his shirt...

He SO looks like a model, the picture you took looks like a photographer took a nice pic of a model posing...
It looks so unreal when thinking you met him somewhere and asked for a pic.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:50 AM) :

He is...well...perfect. Who cares what he's wearing if he does it so well!!

PS I wish there were more candid images of him.

Anonymous iveshe said ... (2:07 PM) :

Anonymous RL said ... (10:50 AM) :

For me, it's the energy in his foot which balances the bold posture in the upper left quadrant of the photo.

Anonymous skin tag removal said ... (5:41 PM) :

The picture depicts the guy that is so hot! I am really interested on this guy you featured here.
