Comments on "On the Street....Tokyo Color, Japan"
Me gusta! me gusta! me gusta!
gratos colores, linda mochila y sus Short y Zapatilla tienen mucha personalidad
One of the things I've learned about Tokyo from your pictures is the richness of color in their dress. It's like walking into Willy Wonka's world.
Thanks for sharing!
I love not being able to see his face
thats alot of color
Jade Appeal
i just love it!
Wow what an outfit with such nice colours! I love the printed short in combination with his sneakers and backpack... Thank you for sharing!

I. Want. This. Backpack.
love the colour coordination in runners and back pack
Wow!
Yeah, some summer to look at, I love it. Amsterdam is still stuck in Autumn.. Btw, does he have orange-y hair?
I love that backpack!!
a bit extreme for my taste, he looks like a clown.

SOMEWHERE OVER THE RAINBOW...I think the rainbow is now on earth.
I would love this even more with black oxfords for contrast. The adidas are a little too Rainbow Brite for me, but props for being colorful!
You have to admire the thought processes that go into making this combination.
I like his hair.
It's the bag and the shoes that make it ;)
I'm loving Tokyo's photos on this blog and this blog, I can't wait to visit Japan one day merely to take great shots! xx

The bag is wonderful - perhaps the shoes match it too much, or perhaps this is a good thing?
I would love the shorts, independently, too!

I love this! I wish more guys would show a little daring with color! It's such a fun look, but of course needs some skill in execution so as not to look like the kids party clown!
http://cocojones.tumblr.com/
Wow! How zesty. It's full of life and excitement! I love the pattern on his board shorts - everything exuberates life - I love it
xx Vanessa
The key with mixing colors is bring careful that colors are the same hue, and not to combine too many hues of the same color. Here we have the red of the sweater, the red of the backpack, the red in the sweater, and the red in the socks AND the shoes. I think the hat and the shorts are the original items that make this outfit original; I would pair them down with something that would accentuate them rather than compete with each other. The backpack looks like a Benetton, circa 1995, that I bought in Miami Beach. Cool to be sure (I thought) but nothing I would ever do again. Jorge from WPB

The outfit SCREAMS for itself!
Would love to learn if his personality is up for that outfit.
Like it though, not anybody can pull this off.
Someone needs big boy pants.
he wants to brighten the day and make us smile... xxx
Scott, thank you for this delightful good morning photograph. Look at him "work it, you've got to love this! It all works so well together, perfection!
Jaja me gusta, cuando estuve en Tokio en enero me encantaron estas mezclas.
I like it, when I was in Tokyo in january I loved mix of clothes
Japanese fashion is awesome... Step foot in Harajuku and you'll be blown away.... So much respect in what each other wears. -kw
he is so funny)
nice colors
Check out my blog! - Moldy Desire: street style blog
We learn so much about the from this photo and the colours he/she is wearing without even seeing the person's face.
True art.
How can you not love that!?
How incredibly fun! I love the fact that colour is embraced and encouraged in dressing in Japanese society... even if only in a particular segment of it (I don't know how widespread this love of colour and whimsical dressing you've been capturing in your pictures is... I've unfortunately not yet visited Japan! On my "to do" list, for sure).
Great way to start a morning, looking at these wonderful dressers you've surprised on film... ;)
Much love from Canada!
I have loved seeing all the styles from antique to now, from sophisticated to neon, from hippy to sartorial... from Japan. Travelling there for the first time soon, and you have given me much inspiration and insight (and confidence!) to select my wardrobe. A little bit of black and comfort, and a little bit of whacky! Thanks for the snapshots into a wonderful place.
Love the pops of color mixed with the patterned shorts. x

I'm in love with this!

Nice shorts! That is a wonderful print!
there is no way the shorts work with the rest. wierd does not always equal cool.
Those black staps!
A person who wears this much colours must be a happy person! It's so joyful.
I'm not sure what's more impressive, that he can pull off those shoes or that he found a matching backpack.
FTW.
The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus! It's great, imaginative and sooooo happy!! This shot made my morning!
Surprisingly...it works!!
I'm in Tokyo this week on business, and my idea of a perfect spring afternoon is to sit and people watch. Never a dull moment. i LOVE and am so inspired by the originality and playfulness of the interpretation of fashion here. It's great!
This is totally rad! I have those sneakers, bought then in Chicago, the summer of 2007, and I get tons of compliments every time I wear them.
Nice!
I lived in Tokyo for 10 years, I've been in NY for 3. One thing about NY is the almost complete lack of color. I wore my red cardigan (same hue as this guy) to the office today and I'll tell you - it provoked quite a reaction :-0
Delightful juxtaposition of this snazzy colorful chap against a backdrop of dreadfully grey individuals. The white stripe on the ground almost suggests: drab on one size colorful delights on the other!
wow...love the shoes...any one knows the name???
I love the bookbag & shoes!!! Its so common to see someone his age in America to wear addias & a bookbag like that in plain colors, but to wear it in many colors makes it that much more trendy.
I LOVE the shorts!
Originality is not style.
It's just originality.
priceless!!
One couldn't help but smile seeing a person dressed like this.
Gotta love this guy!
I'm in love with the shorts!
Are you back in Japan? Fabulous colour.
great,great!actually... all your photos from Japan are full of color.
The (im)Perfect Harmony
nice jambalaya mix. the gal in the dark trench is the perfect accessory for him.
ugh, i love everything about your photos, and those adidas shoes he is pulling off to a T x
ColoursColoursColours!

Wow!! I love this photos, is so colorful, full of life.
I have no word for those shoes.
Great job as always.
Kisses from Spain.

Where did he get the shorts from?
Adidas must have sold the backpack and shoes as a set.
The red hat, the backpack, the shorts and shoes together is a bit much. The backpack pops because it's unusual for an adult to carry it (my son had one like this when he was 4). The shoes pop. The hat pops in a bad way - it does not look like a man's hat. The shorts are good.
I enjoy reading everyone's comments. The images usually evoke similar, expected opinions, but love when someone sees a subtle detail or different p.o.v.
With this image:
-Liked the 'quiubomona's' suggestion of black oxfords , which would tie in the black straps and the black hem piping on the shorts
- Funny that 'henri' referred to him as a clown
- Overanalyzed by 'Jorge of WPB'
The shorts are pretty cool!
amazing style !!!! colorful !!!!! ;-)
xoxo
love his backpack!
wow, definitely not something I would consider wearing but it awesome anyways. I would expect nothing less from Tokyo. =)

Fantastic!!
The colors make me happy! And, I also hear yodeling in the background :D
anyone know where the bag is from?
Love the bright colours! The outfit and the person looks so full or energy and thrive.

I almost fell down when i saw this AMAIZING, AWSOME, PERFECT... look.
Here in Brazil, especially in country it's difficult to find cool clothes like these.
I just loved. =)
The red is the thread that holds this look together. Well done! And from the front, probably not garish at all, it looks like a grey t-shirt.
In the picture it looks fantastic becouse all people around is dressing black and gray.
The street also make a beautiful constrast.
This person look Very relaxed on those clothes.. It could be a nice campaign against prejudice.
beautifull picture
his bag is great
http://bulbizar.blogspot.com/
totally toeing the line of juvenile, but the bits of black, the various mismatched tones of the red and the structure of the sweater make it good.
a really neat post!
You never cease to amaze me. Great! Awesome! Spectacular!
Your pictures are AMAZING!! I found this other website that has fashion blogs and you'll fit in with no problem!
Check it out ! http://fashionnewslive.com/blog
I love color, but there's gotta be a balance. But then again if you have confidence you can rock anything :)
Wow, great colours!
interesting! very summery!
I absolutely love this. Much of Japan and Korea displays this colour shock in their fashion, with the bland business people in neutrals in the background.
And this is only his back.. ^^
Eye-damaging...
Style!
I really love all the colours-VIBRANT-and the patterened pants with that perfect little red hat is just amazing. I don't know who this person is but he does have great style!
I love shots like this from behind, because we really don't see people always from a front angle.
Plus this guy has beautifully shaped legs, very nice!
colourful
really funny!!! :-)
awesome look you,really impressive.
Oh God you are a genius person and a good photographer i like your pics thanks.
