You were talking about inspiration one day - and how the object of the picture was not necessarily something you liked but that you somehow found inspiring.

Sometimes, I think that the inspiration comes from something incidental in a picture, in our lives etc.

Here it is the colours of the buildings on the far left hand side of the picture that I really enjoy. The blue, orange, the green. They caught my eye immediately, especially as the yellow sign on the right balanced them. I am far less keen on the model herself & the intrusive ugly car...

Thanks for sharing, in any case!

Aiiii!!!
That's the way I like it, ahaaaa :-)

I just adore poeple (especially women, no clue - why?;) with grace & nonchalance mixed together (= she looks faboulus with this special "touch" of that "special" something = no 2 hours of preparation / thinking / matching / mixing / changing, etc, etc)... Whatever is true, I just think that if the effort is not visible = the look is the best. AMEN

Beautiful! Love the contrast in her outfit and the colors behind her. She looks like she'd be a TON of fun!

Anonymous Sara Lua said ... (4:54 PM) :

I love her, her spirit, her aloof oversized sunglasses and I love love Soho, my hometown hood. I went to NYU and go back here for meetups and dance schooling.

However, I am surprised b/c Soho is not Paris, it's not Florence, where easy pedaling is the norm. You'll get run over by a car or food truck or mass of pedestrians, so seeing her cycling along w/traffic is what shocks me first!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:42 PM) :

although her shoes and bag and hair are beautiful, she just threw on two trends- nautical and animal print. there are dynamic ways of mixing patterns that aren't incredibly trendy

Blogger Tanya N said ... (8:36 PM) :

very holly golightly. love it.

Hey folks, it's not that hard to ride a bike in heels. I find it easier to cycle in heels than to walk in them, but that might just be my high arches.

Awesome bike, cool-as-hell girl.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:32 AM) :

Is it Diane Kruger??
Anyway, she looks wonderful...

Anonymous Dhr. DeLuxe said ... (6:01 PM) :

For those interested in the bike:

It's a Dutch 'Gazelle' ladie's bike, ca. 1980, with Dutch Axa safety lock and British 3-speed Sturmey-Archer hub.
Tyres are Dutch Vredestein Sport DeLuxe.

Shopping basket was optional: if it would have been original, there would be a headlight/dynamo on the loop visible on the front fork.

I ride it to school but a few weeks ago my Mum and Dad realized that I had been riding on perished wheels. Now it has been done up and looks like this!!!
They are the most wonderful bikes to ride on, I can see why she has such a pleasant expression on her face. I do to when I am riding mine!!!
And I always make sure I dress well to compliment the bike...
