Comments on "On the Street.... Crosby St., Soho"
The hint of a smile on his face seems to perfectly match his outfit.
What a scene!!!!!!!!
So beautiful...
the picture is amazing but i think sandals would be better instead of flip-flops
the first thing I think is "unisex"! swap the flip flops for some heels and this could be a picture of a woman.
nice photo! the colours are great together... really like it, he looks very relaxed with his spring summer look ,fixing his bike...
Love his nautical beach style outfit. x

Black hawaianas...
I want his sweater love stripes!
this is so artistic. love the depth.
He's great. He looks as if he's going to hop up and sing a song in a musical (think West Side Story of today)! I agree with Katie about his outfit feeling unisex. These tops are my uniform.
Oh what a cutie.
Like a cool prince Harry wearing French stripes. Great picture!
I like the way he looks, also the Deep of Field when shooting... !
American apparel in al its sailing glory!
Yours truly
WE SPY WITH MY LITTLE i
He could be anyplace in Europe but he's right here in the good old USA! Love his style and grace, and his unstructured "I really don't give a darn, this is what I threw on this afternoon" attitude. Lovely young man.
The summer has officially started! Nice top.
the scene is great, the guy is adorable, but everyone is wearing this these days, especially the striped shirts...it's boring already, in my opinion. although, yes, some people can no doubt rock it.
i love stripes
http://lavie-amonavis.blogspot.com
very charming!
ew flip flops, really?
missing NY anyone?
new yorkers and their flipflops...it must be love.
great casual look
I am so happy that your in NYC again... I love seeing the city as a backdrop to the fashion!

You're pictures of late have become really good!
the stripy top is amazing!
http://henrineuendorf.com/
The outfit looks goog and the scene is awsome.
Thanks Scott
When will you people be done with flipflops? Please make it soon. They are ruining EVERYTHING.
No offense to the fellow. He seems swell. I just don't need to see any more flat, pale feet in 'shower shoes.'
[Oh, look at that! My 'captcha' word verification is "pedifall." Shoulda been PEDI-FAIL.]
this is such a charming image.... so urban-idyllic that i can't believe it's real! thank you for the great photo, as usual =)
Come to think of it, gingers (men also) are often depicted as nerdy, neurotic and fragile. And do not forget - mischievous! As the picture well proves.
love this. just wish he had on diff shoes
really like the fact his hair and pants almost match perfectly. makes me feel that pair of trouser came together very organically.
an inspirational image...
love the depth of field on this one. beautiful work!
Great pic! Love all the bike tires. Just great.
I love your candid shots... and he looks very cool :)
he reminds me of the boatman from 'death in venice'.
i love it whenever i can find a reference to that movie, luchino visconti or dirk bogard (or helmut berger for that matter).

Oh how I love gingers! *squeal*
What a nice picture :)
This is an awesome shot. Great expression!
Love the striped shirt. I love SOHO
hmmm.... even good looking guys can't make flip flops look good. Glad to read the other comments that I am not the only one with a dislike for the shoe (if you can call it that!)
Gotta love that blue motobecane in the foreground. Moped weather!
Loving the nautical top and the cuffed chinos...
http://kohandco.blogspot.com
is that adrian?
he's having way too much fun for someone with a tire in his hand!
does anyone know where i can get that shirt??
Thanks
Nice shot. i like how you frame the bike handle around the wheel.
This is my favorite summer look!!!
great scene, beautiful boy. I could hang this as a poster on my wall
I've stumbled upon your blog, and I'm subscribing. I find what you are doing is wonderful (I read your bio).
i love this.
Beautiful Prince Harry lookalike!
the picture is amazing, really depicts the craftsman at work.
Agree w/ Jimmy -- the color match between the hair and pants is striking and harmonius.
This is more than just fashion. There is actually art in this photo. Great work!
i love the simplicity of his look. he looks like jules from the truffaut film!
http://mymarvellousmedicine.blogspot.com/
that pic is unisex! you can tell he didnt really try, he just was caught on the street. i love how it's not some look that only certain people can pull off.
Scott, somehow I am feeling from your NYC pictures that you are really HAPPY to be back home :)
the hair colour is beautiful
I like the whole picture. So casual:-)!
Nothing brings an otherwise charming outfit to a halt faster than flip-flops. Unless you're at the beach or in the shower at the gym/dorm, just say no. Please.
I love this photo! its major focus is still on the fashion but it has a very artistic feel to it. Beautiful!
You capture life in its moments... i love your blog...
stripes are definitely in.... its a french feel i cant get enough of.....
The coolest boy in town
stop complaing about the flipflops. you envy the carioca lifestyle, sorry. loved the JPG tee revival.
Love it!
Happily married but very impressed by this awesome little fish. Navy style always has à je ne sais quoi. Thanks again for a very inspiring pic.
How beautiful the picture is! So well-framed.
What a fantastic scene... kind of has a little story going on with it.
www.sarabbentley.blogspot.com
This is shirt is available everywhere. It's about to become a huge hit: H&M, Acne, Cheap Monday, etc.
Amzing blog! You really inspire me!I've just started my own blog, with a little hope to inspire people. Hope you will take a look... www.excusemi.wordpress.com
love, Helene
Oh. Oh oh. I love him. Ok, I know that's silly to say. So let me rephrase: I love this picture. Lovely, no other way to put it.
I miss my neihbour so much!!!!!
snif snif...
Great pic! Love the hair of this boy! <3
www.abitoffashion.com
the pic is great. it must be nice weather in NY. Poland is still 50 F rainy and freezing.
One word: delicious.
Strawberry blonde/pale ginger hair is one of my favourite things in the world!
His look isn't anything to write home about but that's part of the charm - the simplicity, and how comfortable he looks in himself.
What makes the picture for me is the contrast between his array of angular limbs and the delicate round wheel in the centre.
It's funny how so many people are down on flip flops - 'jandals' are de rigueur on the city streets in Spring in New Zealand.
I guess it comes down to whether you prefer your foots to feel stylish or just freeee!
i love his hair. so down to earth and....great
Could anyone tell me what I have to wear this summer instead of flip flops?
That's Picasso's shirt.
Stripes & camel is very chic
This is the perfect late-Spring look. Rolled up chinos and stripes? What's not to love? Top marks for the strawberry blond hair too.
http://ismybloggytoobloggyliciousforya.blogspot.com
This photo is amazing! The kind that makes me glad to open your blog in the morning. Sets me in a good mood for the rest of the day :) I'm normally not a fan of sandals as they can easily make people look sloppy but look perfect on this guy.
So style,so sweet,so sexy,so familiar,so colorfull,so poetic,so .....Wonderfull!!!
Nautical stripes and sand chino's. The uniform of 2010.
This pic must to be next coverfrot of your next The Sartorialist book!!!
This is a great image of Summer!
to all those who feel personally offended by flip flops: do the world a favor and quit being so pretentious. arghh.
What a cool guy!
I love this pic..!
www.nobodyknowsmarc.blogspot.com
Another bicycle and some wheels.
Beautiful photo.I love the colors and the subject. Not only Marcel Duchamp create art with an bicycle wheel.
I thought that you hated flip-flops Scott? Did you have a change of heart?
I love this look and design. Reminds me of simpler times!
i love the satisfied expression on his face and his light skin. the outfit really suits him.
The framing with the bikes/wheels in the front!! EXCELLENT. :)
This picture is so good. I love the composition and the way in which he is bent over the bike tire. I don't have a problem with the flip-flops, I used to wear them all summer long when I was younger. He looks very cool.
thats right behind my apt!!! i Really hope i bump into u sometime in the future!!! just to say hi :)
http://donotshoeme.blogspot.com/
Great pic
Hey....it is a rare thing to see great pictures of us...redhead/strawberry here.... cuz i admit...we are harder to shoot... skin reflects more light.he is kinda rosey so it helps..im pure white..sucks sometimes.... hair changes the color 4 times a day depending on sun weather....it can be blonde...grey..brown..orangey... but... this dude..makes it look so simple and easy...the picture is just natural.... no fashion at all..but at the same time so european...AT SOHO!!!! THATS SOMETHING TO BE REMEMBERED!
lovely! very "real" unlike all those "fashion" shots
Cute face, nice clothes, beautiful picture..Oh I like the hair colour too.
this is adrian gaut, the photographer :)
and what country are you in. looks like it could easily be europe.
j
well, he looks very busy, doesn't he?
Hello Dasein!
what's with all the haters? i love flip flops!...maybe cuz i have a thing for feet though...especially those of cute guys :P
That is an awesome scenario! Kind of vintage... Man, I wish I was in New York, if it's already hot enough for you guys to be wearing flip flops!
THE [re]VISIONARY
khakis and sailor stripes always match best.
I like the look minus the flip flops. Flip flops are a big no no
Love this outfit! stripe shirt and canvas, lovely! so casual and so maritim!
What I love about this shot is the fact a complete sense of lifestyle has been captured in such a simple way.
http://ozwaldboateng.blogspot.com/
WOW, WOW, WOW!!!
AWESOME
HE IS ADORABLE! GREAT PHOTO AND THE MAN - HE LOOKS LIKE A 100 % PARISIAN!!!
Bike chic = very chic indeed.
http://izzenxoxo.blogspot.com/
love this! so sport and sweet.
Fantastic shot, such depth and feeling to this one.
My eye travels so effortlessly through this shot. Great framing. His care and focus on his bike really demonstrates that everyone has their own form of art... from fashion to photography to bike maintenance!
¡Beautiful photo!
And beautiful weather in New York.
Here in Madrid, the winter has returned with a vengeance. There ir even snow on the nearby sierra tops.
New York is Heaven. (At least, it is, in your photos)
Love the sweater.
http://fabulouslifeofdiogotorres.blogspot.com/
I love this picture, partially because I'm totally in love with this guy but also because I'm totally in love with that shirt, is it odd that I want it?
great. marin, masculin...

Great picture! The wheel in the front looks like a rainbow! Love that detail about the picture! ^^
xoxo Sandra
http://glamirrorous.com
it's like an ad for banana republic - simple and elegant. love it!
The blue, the bike, the chain, the wheels in the foreground leading to the simple happy looking guy made this picture so charming.
Oh, yes please! New York, the weather, and the man.
Lovin' that shirt he has on
Nice. Only negative in the whole thing is the flip-flops. Pet peeve, cannot stand them. This is a stunning photograph.
flip-flops are okay but think a heavier (still sockless) shoe would work better though
Any guy that dresses like this has my heart.
Great look, love it! The shirt is from COS, i have the same :)
Fun shot and fun how he can be a bit fab though he's fixing his bike :)
The photo is simply beautiful... it suggests a story and draws the viewer in. Love the guy's look, too, which is surprising since I normally really dislike rolled cuffs, but when something iffy works as a part of a whole, it works!
Also, count me as one of the people who doesn't understand the flip-flop hatred in some other comments. People with style can rock just about anything. And, honestly, I find a pair of worn-in flip-flops a heck of a lot more stylish than an "it" bag or what I think of as "sex & the city shoes." Fussy, pretentious, and precious are just not chic.
He sits on a bench
Staring at it
Wondering what to do
With a piece of the whole
Knowing that nobody sees its full potential
Not even him
And he marvels at the subtle complexity
Of so common a thing
As a bicycle wheel
awesome scenario..:)
Adrian Gaut!!!!
Can I say more than PERFECT?
For sure one of the best in the whole blog.
Love the chanel style sweater.
Love the raw trousers.
Love the brazilian flipflop.
Love the scenario.
Love his blonde hair.
Love the pose.

Great shoot, stunning light and colours.
Lots of love,
Fashion Abuse
keep the 'flip flops'!
or as we call them in south africa 'slops'..
great look!
i just love the 'holiday' feeling about the picture. great shot!
I used to volunteer on Crosby st when I lived in NYC! Housing works book store!
Tristan
Still have a problem with men in flip flops.
love it! or love him... it's the same thing. Love the t-shirt, i've been looking for that perfect long-sleeved breton t-shirt with the white bit at the top but can't find one anywhere...
any ideas?
Such a great look for the summer..the rolled up Chino's make the outfit and the flip flops give it that easy/breezy feel. Great look.
he is simply gorgeous... with good sense of style (yes flip flop indeed rules!) :D
I want that outfit!
honestly, people? All of these comments and only 2 about one of the most obvious style choices he made ...the rolled up chinos. So much can be said about them, much more than the sandals. He's in the middle of NYC, clearly not a beach in sight, and yet still looks like he's ready for the Hamptons. It's a fantastic look juxtaposed against the urban background.
Those pants could only work for that hair color. They make the picture. I'm jealous.
I know that sweater... it's from American Apparel... I used to work there
wonderfully simply outfit, though
i would like to ban flip flops from london, at least.
awesome!!!!
http://laculottedudilettante.wordpress.com/
i really like the idea that the wheel
below seems like a rainbow...
ana.
wow, this guys looks fresh off Norman Rockwell painting!
siiicckkk shot!!
He's Gourgeus
Turned me on.
this shirt is so remniscent of picasso..
