So beautiful...

Blogger Moschino said ... (5:27 PM) :

the picture is amazing but i think sandals would be better instead of flip-flops

Blogger Unknown said ... (5:30 PM) :

the first thing I think is "unisex"! swap the flip flops for some heels and this could be a picture of a woman.

Blogger Unknown said ... (5:31 PM) :

nice photo! the colours are great together... really like it, he looks very relaxed with his spring summer look ,fixing his bike...

He's great. He looks as if he's going to hop up and sing a song in a musical (think West Side Story of today)! I agree with Katie about his outfit feeling unisex. These tops are my uniform.

He could be anyplace in Europe but he's right here in the good old USA! Love his style and grace, and his unstructured "I really don't give a darn, this is what I threw on this afternoon" attitude. Lovely young man.

The summer has officially started! Nice top.

Anonymous daphne d. said ... (6:24 PM) :

the scene is great, the guy is adorable, but everyone is wearing this these days, especially the striped shirts...it's boring already, in my opinion. although, yes, some people can no doubt rock it.

When will you people be done with flipflops? Please make it soon. They are ruining EVERYTHING.

No offense to the fellow. He seems swell. I just don't need to see any more flat, pale feet in 'shower shoes.'

[Oh, look at that! My 'captcha' word verification is "pedifall." Shoulda been PEDI-FAIL.]

One word: delicious.
Strawberry blonde/pale ginger hair is one of my favourite things in the world!

His look isn't anything to write home about but that's part of the charm - the simplicity, and how comfortable he looks in himself.

What makes the picture for me is the contrast between his array of angular limbs and the delicate round wheel in the centre.

It's funny how so many people are down on flip flops - 'jandals' are de rigueur on the city streets in Spring in New Zealand.
I guess it comes down to whether you prefer your foots to feel stylish or just freeee!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:22 AM) :

i love his hair. so down to earth and....great

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:05 AM) :

Hey....it is a rare thing to see great pictures of us...redhead/strawberry here.... cuz i admit...we are harder to shoot... skin reflects more light.he is kinda rosey so it helps..im pure white..sucks sometimes.... hair changes the color 4 times a day depending on sun weather....it can be blonde...grey..brown..orangey... but... this dude..makes it look so simple and easy...the picture is just natural.... no fashion at all..but at the same time so european...AT SOHO!!!! THATS SOMETHING TO BE REMEMBERED!

Fun shot and fun how he can be a bit fab though he's fixing his bike :)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:47 AM) :

The photo is simply beautiful... it suggests a story and draws the viewer in. Love the guy's look, too, which is surprising since I normally really dislike rolled cuffs, but when something iffy works as a part of a whole, it works!

Also, count me as one of the people who doesn't understand the flip-flop hatred in some other comments. People with style can rock just about anything. And, honestly, I find a pair of worn-in flip-flops a heck of a lot more stylish than an "it" bag or what I think of as "sex & the city shoes." Fussy, pretentious, and precious are just not chic.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:03 AM) :

He sits on a bench
Staring at it
Wondering what to do
With a piece of the whole
Knowing that nobody sees its full potential
Not even him
And he marvels at the subtle complexity
Of so common a thing
As a bicycle wheel

Such a great look for the summer..the rolled up Chino's make the outfit and the flip flops give it that easy/breezy feel. Great look.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:51 PM) :

honestly, people? All of these comments and only 2 about one of the most obvious style choices he made ...the rolled up chinos. So much can be said about them, much more than the sandals. He's in the middle of NYC, clearly not a beach in sight, and yet still looks like he's ready for the Hamptons. It's a fantastic look juxtaposed against the urban background.
