Thanks for all of the great "Why Don't You..." submissions, There were some really great ideas. I'm going to start posting my favorites. I like it when people stayed true to the spirit of DV and married folly and practicality. The beauty of her wisdom was suggesting to do something unexpected with an ordinary item or do something mundane with extraordinary flair.

I like that idea. Keeping things hid in great style. Speaking of.... I just have to say that I am so happy to see Eileen Fisher in your sidebar. Very refreshing and classy. Sometimes American Apparel's ads just make me cringe.

I am just reading Liz Tilbers' book (a bit behind, I know) and she mentioned the "Why Don't You" column by Vreeland. It is funny, in this world of fashion, how many great ideas continually orbit and until they are resurrected, under a modern interpretation. Like it did in her book, like it did in this contest. I am sure that DV never though that the concept would involve the term "iPod earphones." Bravo!
