simple with added extras! Its refreshing to see someone that doesn't feel the need to over dress and is comfortable in earth tones and the odd accessory or two!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:59 PM) :

The scarf, now and forever. Obligatory these days in Milan!

Anonymous MonsieurMonsieur said ... (3:02 PM) :

The fabric looks very interesting, but I love most of all his look of utter cool. Thanks again!

lovely...sofistication!

Blogger SabinePsynopsis said ... (3:04 PM) :

What's the theme? Double-breasted blazer? Dotted scarf? Scarf knotting? Beards? The new IT colour - camel/brown? The possibilities seem endless...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:07 PM) :

I love the look, I'm not sure what the title refers to, variation on a theme? Polka dots? I like all the details on the jacket, and the extra pocket above the right hand one. What is the material?

Blogger Chateau de Chic said ... (3:07 PM) :

I really like the double-breasted jacket, but I feel like in this day and age men are scared to wear it. And I thought smoking was out, but this guy is extremely cool. I actually like his facial expression more than I like the outfit. He exudes confidence.

Blogger Unknown said ... (3:14 PM) :

LOVE.

Blogger M said ... (3:17 PM) :

Double breast blazers are so sophisticated on mens!!! Even better if the scarf is added.... I love it!!

Blogger CW said ... (3:20 PM) :

Interesting treatment of a ticket pocket on the coat. Moreover, he must have worn the coat with lapels closed, as there is what looks like a flower stem in the buttonhole which would only make sense if he wore the coat with lapels closed. It could be also be a pen's clip.

OTOH, his slouch and odd cigarette grasp make him look...tipsy, and ages him.

Blogger FASHION SNAG said ... (3:20 PM) :

I love the scarf and the way he has the blazer buttoned.

Again with the cigarette

Blogger taylz said ... (4:53 PM) :

he is the ultimate sexy intellectual! his outfit may make a statement, but his facial expression is what makes him so intriguing.

c'est son regard ajouté à son style qui prend au ventre.

Blogger Soren Lorensen said ... (5:12 PM) :

so gorgeous it's hurting me

Blogger Mari Woolf said ... (5:37 PM) :

I wish more men dressed like this in Paris/New York/Moscow. This effortless yet clean cut chicness seems to only be natural to Milano men.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:11 PM) :

evolution as style it is always moving forward staying and constant thanks for the tip

Anonymous The Photodiarist said ... (6:11 PM) :

I love it. Love the topstitching on his jacket.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:12 PM) :

qué guapo, lo quiero!

Blogger Shane said ... (7:20 PM) :

I must say that my heart is full of jealousy!!! I can not articulate how great this outfit looks!!!

Blogger spencerrr said ... (7:45 PM) :

you can definitely tell that army green and hunter green are big for the upcoming seasons. i love the way we recycle our color palette every few years with hearty, subtle throws to earthtones.

Blogger Gloria said ... (8:30 PM) :

I'm a little surprised noone has mentioned this but to be honest, the greasy hair totally detracts from any sort of style the man would exude.

Blogger M.Kim said ... (8:43 PM) :

I love his polka-dots!

Anonymous Alvionne said ... (8:53 PM) :

variation on a theme because he was previously featured in reference to that posture and walk. beautiful nonchalance. i'd love to know who he is.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:00 PM) :

I love him!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:03 PM) :

YUM

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:27 PM) :

not my favorite picture, he looks so condescending!

Anonymous enrique said ... (12:13 AM) :

I bet this man goes to bed with that suit on and wakes up looking exactly like the photo shows. Not everyone could be so lucky.

Anonymous felt said ... (12:35 AM) :

i like the way he is holding the cigarette

Blogger Jessica said ... (1:58 AM) :

Suave!

Anonymous loolah said ... (7:04 AM) :

Urbane, humourous, enigmatic. I'd even overlook that extra button. I too would like to know who he is.

Anonymous Priya said ... (7:33 AM) :

now THAT'S a striking face. didn't particularly notice wot he is wearing.

Anonymous Nancy said ... (8:20 AM) :

oh nice dress sense!what an elegant man!

Blogger Unknown said ... (8:42 AM) :

WOW!!!!! This is style. I love that jacket, cut is superb, fabric and color are wonderful, and the patch pockets on the double breasted jacket give a relaxed and casual touch. Genius, I love and covet every item he is wearing.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:50 AM) :

Fantastic scarf (brings out his color), dig his pose. This is confidence, kids, get some and you too can be this cool. My only thing is that his top torso button(s) should be higher and a bit closer to his lapel (or just get rid of them both). Great tones, fab shot.

Blogger Unknown said ... (9:41 AM) :

I haven't seen a man dressed like that in ages - why are they scared?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:39 AM) :

In fact it doesn't matter what he is wearing. It's his smile, the specific way of looking at a photographer, manner with which he's holding a cigarette... Oh God!

Blogger Steven T said ... (10:55 AM) :

I must be crazy but the hair is a mess, the suit is puckering, kind of slouchy all over. The scarf is great though and he seems to be in total command of the photo. You women like the unkept man?

Anonymous Justin said ... (11:17 AM) :

HE is a heartbreaker. yum.

Anonymous Enrico said ... (12:41 PM) :

Variation on a theme must refer to the previous post on 2/17/10 (Google "The Sartorialist, Swagger). This man is dashing in his double breasted coat/scarf/cigarette/commanding facial expression combo in this picture, very similar to the combo in the previous pic on 2/17/10. When it works this well, why change it up?

Blogger Unknown said ... (1:23 PM) :

beautiful, i love the atmosphere, it looks like a vintage shot, from an old time....

Anonymous Christopher Gloria said ... (1:44 PM) :

This guy always looks good and drunk at the same time.

Blogger Bob said ... (3:14 PM) :

that is some jacket!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:36 PM) :

Love these coulors.

Anonymous alabdin said ... (5:32 PM) :

I love this man's look and the way he carries himself!
There's a sense of classic playfulness in his eyes and his total look!
He reminds me of my late uncle.

I love this picture.
Thank you for posting it, Monsieur Schuman!

Blogger donutcake said ... (10:36 PM) :

Ready for romance are we? Mmmm...oh yeaaah.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:52 PM) :

Kind of a satyr, isn't he?
That second inner pcoket just ... makes me want to steal the jacket; if it was slung across a chair somewhere...nearby.

Blogger J. Bright said ... (11:38 PM) :

Its an effortless "oh this old thing" type style that maintains elegance w/o grasping for it. As a left handed smoker myself the presence of the cigarette fails to offend (as it has some). By the way, I also love him when he made an appearance in Feb

Blogger Suzanna said ... (7:25 AM) :

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:38 PM) :

this guy looks rad, he is also who you imagine and fear when you girlfriend has to go to europe on business and you can't be there!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:34 PM) :

¡Atractivísimo!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:55 PM) :

He just looks like Marc Jacobs but older !

Anonymous nga waiata said ... (1:18 AM) :

WOW you are all seduced by his bad man ways....

no he looks difficult to me, and yuk to cigs

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:43 AM) :

Like this jacket, and the insouciance of this man.

But, oh dear, I am not a fan of beards. I can see a very handsome face there somewhere.

Blogger The Clever Pup said ... (10:20 AM) :

This good looking guy looks like my husband!!

Anonymous princess glee said ... (4:11 PM) :

No! I'm not giving you my last 10 thousand dollars...don't you already owe me 20?

Anonymous Victor said ... (5:10 PM) :

Incredible style. Fantastic attitude.

Really classful man. Cool.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:38 PM) :

Oh how I love men who dress like this. A true European dandy - it's the little extra flourishes (the attention to detail in the jacket, the pocket 'kerchief, the beautiful plum scarf) that make it.

Miss B xx

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:30 PM) :

I can't stop seeing this picture. This man looks like a dream, a mix between a bad guy and a picaroon person. The way he dressed it's delightfull and manly. If I close my eyes, I can smell his cigarrete and some notes of a strong cologne.

Someone knows his name? I love him, is that possible?

Blogger Unknown said ... (8:47 AM) :

Looks great, but please lose the cigarette! Smoking is not cool, just makes you look like a fool...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:30 AM) :

The penetrating gaze coupled with a soft half-smile, the tousled hair coupled with a well-trimmed beard, the creases in the inner elbow area and the odd buttons.. he is so intriguing, I want to know him.
