Plaid hello!! I love people that are not afraid to take risks.. It works for him...

Blogger SabinePsynopsis said ... (1:32 PM) :

A very restrained Mr Elton John?

Blogger Judith Ross said ... (1:32 PM) :

Oh dear, isn't there a law against that much matching plaid on one person?

Blogger Hannah said ... (1:33 PM) :

this guy is my idol!

Blogger bianka said ... (1:33 PM) :

Blogger Caddy said ... (1:35 PM) :

Seeing it from the rear makes me wonder what this outfit looks like from the front. :)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:44 PM) :

the wall color is the same that the crosses into the squares... funny!

Blogger Kristina Karenina said ... (1:56 PM) :

A little too much, my eyes think.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:56 PM) :

Turn around, dude! Teasing us is not fair! Tell me you have a front view, Sart! This is merciless!!

Blogger Elaine Armen said ... (2:06 PM) :

I'd say plaid like that only works if you're as thin a David Bowie. Or, did you just catch someone grabbing the morning paper in their pajamas & robe?

Blogger The Topiary Cow said ... (2:06 PM) :

oh my god. PJs...and ones, in addition, in which you don't want to be caught dead in.

Blogger Nedda Ebo said ... (2:10 PM) :

Oh damn! What an outfit! Too bad its just from the back...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:19 PM) :

What a lucky shot with the red brick wall echoing the geometry and red in the plaid.

Nice.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:32 PM) :

Looks like Thom Browne's work...Nicely done!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:44 PM) :

Immediately I want to meet him, you gotta luv the spirit!

Anonymous mabelmabel said ... (3:08 PM) :

Reminds me of the joke: "Know why it is that bagpipers always march while they play? They're trying to get away from the noise."

Still, kudos to this man for reminding us all to dare to take a fashion risk, to make a "statement" that others will deem better left unsaid. I care less about "liking" clothes/looks than I do about having my eyes opened and, then, having to think about what I like or don't like, and why. Provocative always trumps safe, perhaps....

What am I seeing? Is it pajama fabric? Wool? Is it tailored, pressed? Bare ankles coming out of shoes not slippers. Where is he going? Where has he been? My mind can't make sense of what my eyes are seeing. That's a good thing.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:12 PM) :

Is that Glen Obrien?

Blogger davidikus said ... (6:36 PM) :

The picture is very strong, the style much less so... Thanks for sharing!

I'm in NYC today, straining my neck to find you!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:53 PM) :

I believe this man is Eduard from Brooks Brother's Black Fleece shop on Bleecker Street in NYC.

Blogger FrenchToast said ... (9:35 PM) :

this is like the fancy version of chinese people cruising around town in their head-to-toe matching flannel pajamas, usually printed with some ridiculous cartoon character or big, silly swirls. if this guy was in shanghai, he'd get ticketed--the gov't is attempting to ban folks wearing their pjs outside for the upcoming expo. even sillier! it's such a part of the culture here, and this guy would totally fit in. but maybe on the hip side of town.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:43 PM) :

I immediately thought of Elton John...I really love this picture.

Blogger gem twin said ... (1:14 AM) :

man--that is SO cool--that he wears it and you actually caught it. so elton but makes me SMILE!!

Blogger silver said ... (6:24 AM) :

Blogger Ian said ... (10:31 AM) :

GENE-YUS!

JEAN-YUZ!

JEENYOUS!

GENIUS!

Not my normal lenghty spiel (and YES! that is the actual spelling of the word - NOT 'schpiel' which is how its pronounced), but you get the point. LOL

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:15 PM) :

He is in his pajamas and dressing gown and has just left his kitchen because he ran out of milk. He is running to the corner deli. No way is this street wear.

Anonymous Kar said ... (2:10 PM) :

At first I thought that this was just a really well made bathrobe but then I saw the pants. I think that the secret to this is the tailoring. The refinement that keeps this several degrees from "pimp suit" garishness while still being refreshing.

I want to see it from the front!!

Anonymous Designer t-shirts said ... (4:49 PM) :

Absolutely love this

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:10 AM) :

This is Edward from BB Black Fleece and he always looks amazing - great shot!

Anonymous andeh said ... (5:00 PM) :

he looks like he just came out of an hospital and didn't have street clothes, so he decided to walk in PJs...not stylish at all

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:23 PM) :

not only does the large plaid print make him look wider, the short hem of the pants make him look short. its as if he's a walking cube.
