So many creases and scrunches bound together by sharp lines. She knows what she's doing. Lovely.

Brusque yet futuristic! Like a sharp knifeblade against the neck. All business, no prisoners. She should be walking a Rottweiler with a 24K chain and a Hermes collar (if there is such a thing). I bet she is very nice to talk to.

Blogger Shelf Elf said ... (10:59 AM) :

I love the bunched up look of the gloves, boots and cinched in waist. Tailored but relaxed too. And the poppy red. Classic.

The leather accessories make this look very edgy and interesting ; I totally LOVE the Hermès clutch !!
It has a vintage feel to it.

Anonymous Isobel said ... (11:34 AM) :

boots are a bit dodgy. the fact that one of them is hanging lower than the other takes the sharpness out of the rest of the outfit.

Rich-red nooks and crannies of this coat are a pleasure for the eye as well as for the hand. Can't decide if she looks like a wealthy child's rag doll thrown onto the snow, or like the draped table in a still-life painting which is waiting to have some fruit and a silver pitcher arranged upon it. Love to ponder this beautiful photo, Mr. Schuman.

The 'architecture' of this skirt suit is amazing and blood-red is such a beautiful colour.

she always looks so incredibly stylish. My challenge for her is to look no less amazing with an outfit costing less than $100.

I rarely read critical comments on this blog.
Not a fan of the get up, a little too pretentious for my tastes....

Anonymous jas said ... (1:01 PM) :

A wonderful outfit... but honestly, that pose - hips forward, head hanging, toes pointing in - it makes her look like a tired marionette and is a complete turn off.

She's very glam in red!!!
Ultra sexy!!!!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:29 PM) :

I'm not sure I like this combo. Although there is an harmony between the purse, the gloves, the necklace, and the color of the coat, something in the shape of the coat disturbs me and I don't like the boots. Nevertheless Anna is still very chic.

Blogger Jorge from W Palm Beach said ... (1:35 PM) :

Love the outfit although she could have steamed the wrinkles out, I suppose? The difference in levels for the boots is obviously intentional, so I guess she was trying to look a certain way. And yes the accessories are killer! Jorge from WPB

Blogger Elizabeth Daisy. said ... (1:35 PM) :

I love the combination of scarlet red, black leather and the gold on the small Hermes mini-brief. I think she always looks wonderful, smart and her style is classic!

Blogger Chateau de Chic said ... (2:20 PM) :

I tend to prefer something more playful... the woman looks very stern. The saving grace, though, is the high-waisted belt. It adds enough detail to make the outfit more than standard. Even if this woman and I won't throw snowballs at each other near Christmas, I like the bunching of the gloves/sleeves of her outfit.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:24 PM) :

Blogger CW said ... (2:27 PM) :

I concur with Jas. The outfit is excellent. Her posture, on the other hand, makes her look like an anorectic swaybacked horse.

Anonymous Vera said ... (2:42 PM) :

Cute look, but don't you think that jacket and boots together is a bit too much? I think classic black shoes would look the best.

Plus she looks quite uncomfortable:)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:43 PM) :

i love Mrs russo

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:45 PM) :

very chic! but i do agree with the comments about her pose. my grandmother would say "stand up straight!!!" it hurts looking at her. it still is, however, a beautiful photo.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:05 PM) :

Great outfit for a fashion magazine pic but way to much for walking down the street. I think this fabulous coat and bag could have been combined with softer colours and materials to make it more accessible.
When I look at her like this I see a feeling of uneasiness!!!

Anonymous Maggie said ... (4:10 PM) :

Her pose disturbes me, but I love the red and the whole outfit, except for the boots. What the heck is wrong with them?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:33 PM) :

Blogger doingtheunstuck said ... (4:48 PM) :

she needs a poodle to finish this off.

Blogger silver said ... (4:54 PM) :

She looks as though she were posing for Iron Man 2. Here she is a fashion victim and it is not at all flattering. And, might I add, this is the first photo of Anna I have seen that I have not liked. This should have been left in the darkroom.

Blogger share said ... (5:14 PM) :

Beautiful, knowing, stunning, courageous, fabulous!

Blogger wintermutt said ... (10:11 PM) :

Anna looks expensive.

The boots and gloves are fine, but the skinny belt is perhaps the most perfect detail in this sensational look.

ps. that is my favourite shade of RED.

Blogger lauren baluyo said ... (12:29 AM) :

This iconic lady always manages to look divine as ever. This shade of red is so beautiful. Love that she accessorized with those leather gloves too.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:20 PM) :

Sorry, but she looks uncomfortable. Or rather, I feel uncomfortable looking at her. And, to tell you the truth, all these outfits look the same after awhile. Yes, these people are fashionable, but though they try to be original, their originality begins to meld into one, repeat outfit. I can't explain myself. Sorry.

auwww... what an awesome mishmash!! all what she puts on are just super chic and yet so hip! love her total style... genius!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:20 AM) :

This pic is growing on me.. I think it's the simple fact that her conviction really compliments the red color..& vice versa! I also like the little 'tweaks' which are formed on the garment/fabric

cheers!;)

Blogger Jacq said ... (11:53 AM) :

I love the red shade, but this outfit is a bit too sack-like for me and I don't think the belt is wide enough to save it. I love the gloves but really don't like those boots.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:29 PM) :

There is little room for argument that this woman's ensemble is spectacular, the fabrics, the cut, and so on.

However, it is flooring that a woman of this sort of distinction would reduce this moment to just another woman posing in the pigeon toed stance.

POWER WOMAN!

Blogger CM said ... (2:14 PM) :

I love the red coat, the gloves and the purse, though I feel the addition of the boots took it a little too far. Too many creases. It would have worked better for me, I think, if she'd worn sleek black boots. And maybe held herself less awkwardly.

Blogger Unknown said ... (7:45 PM) :

Tonight in Berlin Scott said that he tends to show only 3/4 of pictures when people wear bad shoes. I don't know what label Anna's boots are or how much they cost, but the look like a disease... And it's such a shame, because the suit (Lanvin?) looks so beautiful, also with the black gloves, which could have been a little bit longer.

I don't wanna see these shoes ever again! Anna go and have them turned into a nice extension of your gloves.
The rest is a winner :-)

She should have gone for some simpler shoes, such as black kitten heels or even sleek, streamlined boots. Anything but those rumpled things that take away from the magnificent creasing in the jacket. Love that cherry red color though. It seems to complement almost everybody, regardless of skin, hair, and eye color!

Blogger AQ said ... (10:33 AM) :

Utterly fascinating to me that you would post a comment in which someone voices a personal dislike of this woman, but yet you don't publish a comment that voices dislike for the outfit.

Anonymous GUGA said ... (2:15 PM) :

This is so easy to accomplish Anna..where's the effort? If you wanna go monochromatic change the shape the fabric the shade of the color.... do not follow this example... this is DATED......she coulda changed the skirt for something with more impact...like BALMAIN PANTS...or wear the skirt with BALMAIN JACKET...but i really like the jacket..THE SKIRT IS WRONG.... and i know she has balmain in her closet....this is kinda tacky....the accesories are ok.. this look is made of luxury brands but she didnt pull it off...

Anonymous Victor said ... (5:17 PM) :

Nice chick, nice dress, nice gloves, nice sunglasses, strange boots.

Make me rethink in the rest of the look time after time: why to waste such a powerful image with that boots... that boots... breaking her slim silhouette....

Everyone seems so affected by who she is (Anna!) and the fact that she is wearing Lanvin. Honestly, on an unknown, I don't feel that many would be so impressed and would not be forgiving of this awkward use of many designer labels. Frankly, she looks like Raggedy Ann after a shopping spree at Saks.
