I love this photo. How did you do it? I stared so long trying to figure. The mirror is gone. Alessandra is left confronting Alessandra. I get an existential shiver.

Blogger MELISSA Z. said ... (4:03 AM) :

I love the photos with a mirror because you can see either the front and the back of the subject! This is superb!

Blogger Rosella said ... (8:07 AM) :

A touch of charm from the good old days...

Anonymous Christopher Gloria said ... (8:12 AM) :

I like how it really looks like two different people looking at each other the way the lighting drowns out the pattern in the coat in the reflection, and how you can't see the front of the shirt in the "actual" Alessandra.

Anonymous michael said ... (8:29 AM) :

Do they make it in short sleeves?

Blogger Percy B said ... (8:31 AM) :

Such a great photo! The mirror- something, what is almost always interesting.
I like her hair to, I'm not so confident to make such a haircut for myself...

Oh. I'm new, and mmm if you want to, you can comment my blog, please! :)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:47 AM) :

mirror displaces time this could be on ivory, on vellum etc.. it could be before an audience with cardinal woolsey or going onstage with roxy music... the reflection is ours

Blogger SarahODonnell said ... (10:15 AM) :

I'm so intrigued by Allesandra! Please just devote a whole project to her! A day in the life?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:43 AM) :

I've seen her here before and remember her to be very striking.

Sart - I think your site should have brief bios of all these fashionista superstars so we know who we're dealing with. The back stories are often of interest.
Thanks in advance.

Sweet coat! Gotta love fur ...

Each to their own style (not quite mine) and pulling it off.

Thumbs up also on the vintage use in spite of living in the cult of now

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:43 PM) :

I wasn't sure at first, because it looks so rock and roll to me, but then, that's the point.

Blogger Lucas Jones said ... (1:40 PM) :

oohhhh lovvve the furrr...but the leopard...hmmm....

http://lucasjonesart.blogspot.com

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:43 PM) :

Is that a real leopard coat?! This look is an offensive symbol of cruelty.

Anonymous Joan said ... (1:54 PM) :

it's so surreal and her style is effortless. love it.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:57 PM) :

oh my god. how can she keep a strait face while wearing this? she looks ridiculous. (plus the fur is just cruel.)
its like a bad halloween costume

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:57 PM) :

Awesome! Lucky mirror!

Anonymous princess glee said ... (3:33 PM) :

Such raw swagger. I can't understand why someone would say she looks ridiculous.

Anonymous kat said ... (3:38 PM) :

What a beautiful coat!

Anonymous ada said ... (6:51 PM) :

Though I worship Alessandra (and want to be her when I grow up), this coat is a lose for me. LOVE the super-feminine necklace, though!

Anonymous jen wardle said ... (11:09 PM) :

awesome photo...

Blogger See Your Style said ... (12:48 AM) :

Love her waves!

Blogger Lost. said ... (1:15 AM) :

Great Blog! I have to say though, like many here, I do not approve of real fur being used on clothing. I hope it's fake!

Anonymous Margo said ... (5:15 PM) :

What a pimp. But remembering also her other photographs - what an interesting girl. Pardon me, but quite a few people you photograph have perfectly bland faces, which is what happens I suppose when you spend your whole life thinking what you're gonna wear, but not her! She's interesting.

Blogger a said ... (6:06 PM) :

Genuine 90's style, I appreciate!

Blogger rachel said ... (6:19 PM) :

Alessandra, I've fallen right out of love with you. I love ocelots more.

Blogger Kathleen said ... (2:28 PM) :

Another Bowie type individual, like the young man in the skinny rolled up jeans. There's a lot of femininity going on here, but I don't find it the least bit distracting, on the contrary I love it. The coat is to die for and the necklace looks vintage and works well with the sweater, jeans and t-shirt. Again we have the super feminine mixed with the menswear underneath.
I like it.

Blogger Joana said ... (5:13 PM) :

Love the concept.
Playing with some lush objects and make them casual. There´s no rules anymore.

Blogger Kim - Affairs of Living said ... (4:20 PM) :

the gender ambiguity of this person is amazing - the short bouffant hair, the pale lip, the masculine glasses, the heavy bobble necklace, what looks to be a simple t-shirt under that incredible fur...beautiful, absolutely beautful, especially with the blown out background. really striking.
