Anonymous lucia said ... (4:32 PM) :

I like how these ladies dress. Actually the one to the left got a style that is a lot similar to my own style, color and layer wise ( not money wise maybe, and U would never wear a fur, except if it's my grand mum's old sheep fur from the 40:ies
But I love the way she wears adress over trousers, and a parka under a shorter coat. Things that sound strange but really works on the street. Its about confindent and finding a style that suits your mood, not about the money. A lot about hair and shoes though...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:32 PM) :

The only words that come to mind: Get it girls.

Anonymous notsureut said ... (4:32 PM) :

Its so cold in Paris and i'm loving the creative layering thats appearing by necessity, you really have to possess an innate style to throw on the whole wardrobe and get it to work!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:42 PM) :

I love her brown shoes and blue pants! They look great with the belt.

I don't really like the heavily layered look or those romper things. I do like those shades, though.

I love her purse and the other girls shoes...love this shot :)

the jumpsuit is very much working for me. chic in my eyes as it's considered, slightly complicated and concise.
the other outfit, not so much but maybe the olive parka was just to keep warm after she was already out. hhhmmmm?

Layers, layers, layers, I love 'em. But is it really THAT cold?

Blogger Gon said ... (5:16 PM) :

The oldest lady looks impecable, her boots are gorgeous and her bag :)

loving all the layers and slight military feel to these outfits, whilst the fur keeps it feminine.

Anonymous anina said ... (5:28 PM) :

i love the shoes of the woman on the right side.

Blogger CW said ... (5:32 PM) :

Perhaps it's the camera angle, but the layering on the lady on the left is not well thought out. The puffy second layer is adding size to her thighs and no woman wants that. The lady on the right appears to be recycling her late-70s disco jumpsuit. It is admirable that she can still fit into it.

Blogger Lisa Petrarca said ... (5:44 PM) :

The BOOTS! They grabbed my attention immediately & her purse.

Anonymous Natasha said ... (5:50 PM) :

The shoes and jumpsuit/trousers with the fur jacket in the right look are fantastic-they both look warm in this horrible winter but stylish :)

Blogger Unknown said ... (5:59 PM) :

....very blonde and very dark....beautiful photo

Blogger Renee said ... (6:24 PM) :

i love the outfit on the right-those look like the perfect pants!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:45 PM) :

The woman on the right is absolutely gorgeous, such poise! I love the peach clutch, it looks a bit like snakeskin. This is a wonderful mix of generations and their take on classic fashion!

Blogger ChinChin said ... (6:45 PM) :

Those black boots are amazing!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:49 PM) :

I am coming by next week and it looks like wearing something furry is on trend. Too bad I can't bring my cat ...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:04 PM) :

Though it's a fine photograph, there's nothing special with these women's outfits. Their is no synthesis, and both seem to be wearing the "right" stuff without embodying it...maybe it's the elegant older women wearing ray-ban-esque sunglasses that kills it...or maybe it's the woman with too many layers...

Blogger Rock Couture said ... (7:09 PM) :

Great shot!

Blogger Brigadeiro said ... (7:14 PM) :

Absolutely GORGEOUS Winter outfits, with brilliant layering on the left! LOVE the outfit on the right!

Blogger Unknown said ... (8:10 PM) :

Love the designs you've published on this blog but I'm confused about these two... If and only if you're expecting heavy rain then I guess the poncho and fishing pants are a smart idea, but the weather looks pretty good in this photo.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:26 PM) :

Gorgeous layering

Blogger Anita said ... (10:01 PM) :

prooving that layering works. something short over something long. look for a theme!!!

Blogger kimberlytran said ... (10:32 PM) :

I love those over-sized wayfarers. I can't find any decent havana ones.

The woman the to left is sporting a nice tweed or boucle jacket! Very Chanel-esque!

Blogger Lions, Tigers and Fashion OH MY! said ... (11:49 PM) :

Love the coral clutch with the winter layers!

Anonymous Catherine said ... (12:22 AM) :

superposition again! so trendy and when the weather is too cold it's good for us!
Love the leopard bag and the shoes, plus little fur around the neck. Interesting.

Blogger Unknown said ... (1:52 AM) :

I like the layers! Wonderful photo!

Blogger Unknown said ... (1:54 AM) :

Hello from Holland! Scott, I took an amazing photo of you & Garance outside the V&R show last saturday. I would like to email it to you both. Pls let me know where to send it! It was wonderful to see you 'on the job'! Grtz!

I LOVE THEİR BOOTS

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:48 AM) :

The lady on the right OWNNNNNS it - Beyond words! Best layering and colours I've seen in a while. Brava!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:04 PM) :

Some nice individual elements, but I loathe the baggy, form-destroying khaki, and the charcoal pantsuit is so mc hammer.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:37 PM) :

I would like to live in Paris so that I can wear fur and not think about it. In London, you have to think about it and it is wrong, wrong wrong, but oh so right in Paris.....

Blogger Iqpal said ... (6:51 PM) :

err...love how everyone is jumping on the dries band wagon!!!

Blogger V said ... (8:43 PM) :

This short over long trend is really growing roots, huh?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:25 PM) :

they look so warm and comfy!
fur scarves!

Blogger Jason Laucht said ... (11:45 PM) :

just VOGUE!

http://jasonlaucht.blogspot.com

Blogger Gary said ... (6:12 AM) :

This doesn't work for me. The brown shoes don't match the trousers, the layers are stangely put together. Something's wrong about this for me. Something very parisian. Yet, I love the grey trousers. With different shoes I'm sure it would look perfect. And I like the fur collars.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:28 AM) :

Actually, not Vogue, but UK Elle...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:12 PM) :

Sorry to be a spoilsport, but I think they both look frumpy and sort of fussy. The one in shades might be OK when in motion, but the blonde is a walking coat rack. Just... ordinary. But it's nice to see ordinary.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:38 PM) :

I don't like the outfit on the left at all. The stole is OK, but the layers are wacky, not in a good way. Lose the anorak, for starters. I also don't like the shoes with the rest of the outfit; seems like a "pute." It takes all kinds to make a world, but when it comes to style, I think someone like Giovanna has it without trying so hard, and this one doesn't despite clearly trying very hard.
The other one looks better, but very much out of the late 70s or early 80s. Flashdance comes into my head....

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:26 PM) :

The Elle UK ladies always look good.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:11 AM) :

no hay manera de que la parca abrigue, se ve que es sólo x combinar capas...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:07 AM) :

As always the photography is great. To me these ladies look silly, victims to their apparel.
