Comments on "On the Street.....Pitti Standout, Florence"
now this is epilepsy-seizure giving....obviously but elegant (very). of course epilepsy can be elegant sometimes
I love how his look feels so familiar but with his own unique approach: Jacket, pocket square, red watch...I wished I could see his shoes & socks! Thanks Scott.
Beautiful composition with the outlandish pattern and cobblestone ledge.
Love the picture: the continuity between the print of the blazer and the ¿bench? or whatever it is.
I love how the pattern sort of blends with the stone pattern of the bench. Love it! The pattern is amazing, but it's so difficult to pull off without looking, well, bad, pretty much.

that coat is FANTASTIC!!!! i love the red watch band and the purple handkerchief with it.
little details that add up.

Wow, he's just camouflaged with the wall he's sitting on! :D
Wow love the print and that little touch of colour just sets it off perfectly.
Not sure about the shirt...but LOVE THAT JACKET. The pocket square takes it to a whole new level. Nice watch band too.
this photo here is gorgeous. the jackets print is amazing and love the simularity between that of the jacket and the rock bench/wall he is sitting on. great photo.
He only wears that jacket because he knows he's going to be photographed sitting on that pebbled bench which somehow echoes the pattern on his jacket.
scelta azzeccata! bellissima la giacca!
http://louis-myfashionshow.blogspot.com/
gracious! that's handsome....smiles.
Black denim, blue denim and THIS blazer - certainly not for the fashion faint hearted!
Fantastic! Did you find him on that bench? It's perfect with the jacket.
what an amazing blazer! love the lil purple hankie sticking out, also cool that hes paired it with a denim shirt.
his jacket kinda matches what hes sittin on haha
Ahhhhh!! I just want to scream!! Okay I am screaming! This guys is the business! I am speechless, he's got me going... All the way. I am LOVING this blazer, the texture, the red watch and the denim shirt underneath. Breathtaking.

What italians do best, overdress and look trashy, like they just stepped out of a store that sells D&G knock offs!
Very chic and good looking too... Double threat guy :)
Cool and very personal...i like it.
Take a look at my fashion blogg if you have a few secs
I do not really like his clothes, but the details are nice. The red leather on the watch and the red bookmark in his moleskine.Thats nice.
I like how the bench becomes an extention of the jacket
So "that's" who stole grandma's wallpaper!
tne jacket with stone aggregate congratulations can see him in kathmandu with the same aplomb as ageless as the man with the glen plaid pants
A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! loove the colours, jacket, and how the pattern looks with the rocky thing his sitting at.
the mood of this photo is so dreamy. can't wait for spring to come!
Yums the word!
Perfect way to wear denim on denim and great print.
not sure about the denim shirt... but love the blazer.
His blazer and the stone wall on which he sits blend together such that at first glance, the blazer looks like a coat on which is sitting. I like the way you pay attention to background details.
Von Trapp family jacket: "You did what with the curtains?!"
Camo style with the stone seat.
Dig the shirt.
I am not a big fan but I am grateful for a men's shot in a decisively changing blog....
Well done Mikey, you're on!!! Love the comments ;-) Well done! Luv, kim
Sartorialist, perfect combination of subtle yet loud. Liked the pairing of the strong lines in the jacket as well as the stone bench. Very handsome picture!
Best regards,
Reynolds Still
I love the purple pocket square. I also like that you call him a standout, as he definitely is, while his jacket almost blends in with the stone wall. He is beautiful.
whoa, i'm digging the blazer
the jacket is nice but not with this outfit. the purple pocket square, red watch, two blue denims...too much going on and too close to twee and not close enough to be off and therefore right. maybe a green pocket square and different colored shirt.

i love tha pattern of the blazer with the stones of the seat! its perfect
While black jeans paired with a blue denim shirt would spell death to most outfits the young man makes it fully formal with that jacket. I can imagine other men reserving such a jacket as a humorous addition to a black tie outfit, but this man rocks the black and white without such ploy or reserve. The casual addition of the florescent pocket square and the red wristwatch seal it.
I want to believe he chose the jacket AND the wall on purpose.
GREAT PHOTOGRAPH!!! (BENCH & JACKET PATTERN)
STRANGE JACKET.......
LOVE THE MOLESKINE!!!
Love the mixed denims (who can ever pull that off with success?), red watch and drop of puple in his handkerchief. Cute guy, too. A great and uplifting photograph.
Great artistry in the upholstery fabric jacket and the pebble bench, love the composition. The not so subtle details pop and so does this young man.
ooOOoo, nice combination with the demin and the patterns and the purple and the arm accesories.
he's so brave to wear that jacket-i'd love a womens version!

This guy is so amazing he gives me the chills! I can't even explain why! It's outfits like these that excite me the most.
First things first: stunning man. On top of that, the jacket is visually crazy but somehow fits his cool "You don't know what I'm thinking..." type of attitude. Loves it!
http://calvinshow.blogspot.com
Love the red stitching on his denims! Red watch band, red Moleskine, too.
common people, this looks terrible.....
I think since this blog typically has such amazing photos, people tend to think they are missing something if they think someone looks bad. But in some cases, you have to admit it just looks bad.
If you think this looks good, it's only because it's on this blog. If you saw this on the street you would think it looks horrible.
This lovely creature's shyness oh-so-subtly captured by the camera, may or may not be a contradiction to his bold eclectic style.
If I was dating him, I'd be all, "honey, can I borrow your white blazer with the swirls???" Then I'd kiss him on those sumptuous lips.
I love the apparance, it should have been a lil lower, cause he was wearing purple socks. Great photo, amazing look, wonderfull person,!
Anyway; follow mike on his own blog!

l'uomo dalle giacche appariscenti... http://meoutfit.blogspot.com/2010/01/meoutfit-288-il-broccato.html
It is a very nice look, and well photographed. I like the way the pattern of the jacket is echoed in the pattern of the 'seat'. This also works very well because of the uncluttered background.

Am noticing we aren't seeing many men's footwear of late!! I want to see the whole outfit!! He's probably sockless am guessing
Wonderful jacket, wonderful denims, but not together.
love how his jacket blends into the wall he's sat on. Great image
I love the pocket square!
He is another Italian beauty. Wow, what an edgy outfit, I love what he has done. No fear here, with the mix of denims, the out of this Universe jacket and the purple silk in his breast pocket. The red leather watch band and simple leather "bracelets" on both wrists are simple, yet very sexy.
love the jacket with the hint of colour...and his strange combination of denim!
Ok, so I like the outfit.... but WOW!! I don't know if any of you guys noticed this: Look at the pattern of the jacket and then the pattern of the stone bench or whatever he is sitting on! I love itn the contrast ;)......
Something in his face looks like Heath Ledger.
And he looks so self confident and cool. Thumbs up. :)
he blends with his stone seat.
really cool skin
I love how the jacket works with the bench/wall on which he's sitting. Brilliant attitude and ambiance.
jacket with that stones on sitting seems a compound , btw that purple selection pretty well
Is he an actor? I recognize him from somewhere.
his look is killing me.
wow.
beautiful.
I also love the fact that the pattern on his jacket reflects the pattern of the stone wall he is happily perched upon.
I'm looking for a printed blazer all over, this makes me envious. Although the best bit is that purple...

Extravagance isn´t elegance
LOVE!!!
Did he subconsciously choose that particular bench/low wall to sit on as a means of camouflage? Congrats for being able to see him there, LOL!
This might be my favorite
The jacket looks is the star of the photo, but when you look at his face he's totally got a look that shows that he is really the boss of this outfit. I need to meet more Italian men.
He does look great.. but for all you women screaming for italian men.. he's actually dutch..
he looks like heath ledger!
To be honest, without that face his outfit is quite ridiculous.
the fit of the jacket is what makes it for me. it is a great pattern, sure, but the fit is what allows him to carry it off with such self-asurdness...if that is even a word!
Hi all!!
First of all I would like to thank Scott for the great photo!
The rest of my outfit: Purple socks and dark brown santoni shoes.
Thanks for all the great comments!

Love, love, love this! The WHOLE look; the face, the hair, the way the outfit was put together (and of course, the way it was photographed!)

He looks great, I love it...

Oof! The geometric patterns of the coat and then of the pebble wall - sweet!
What I love about this is how it encapsulates what the italians call "spezzare". To North American men it may seem like a mess, but it's about reinterpreting the obvious so that it is not predictable and not pretentious...this is an idea rendered famous by Agnelli, but it continues to be the signature of Italians. It means reinterpreting what is perfect, making the sartorial human and not mechanical...It's harder than it looks.
it would be nothing without the concrete base with white pebbles on which he is sitting...
