Comments on "On the Street.....Mr. Armani, Milano"
Perfect! I adore him!
Never seen him in a peacoat before. Looks good on him.
the always dapper Mr. A...
THE GREAT Mr.ARMANI!!!
What a classic shot of a classic man.
respect! <3
You captured his kind demeanor perfectly. The jacket is fantastic, of course, but what makes it so handsome is the man wearing it. Your photographs tell so much more than great clothing, Sart. Thanks.
A very relaxed looking Mr Armani.
You got a second picture of Mr. Armani! He must like you. ;)
What a sexy ol' guy! smiles.
Don't you just love him!
Could you comment on the fact that, when you photographed Mr Armani before (as reproduced in your book) you said that he would only be photoraphed against a dark background which showed off his white hair. Yet here vhe allows you to photograph him against a pale sky...???
King Giorgio.
great men...great class...amazing look
This is a surprising, refreshing look for Mr. Armani. Bravo!
i feel like there is nothing particularly outstanding about this photo - just that it is armani
Marvellous, simply A GENTLEMAN, I LOVE HIM.
Congratulations for the blog
who does the coat?
Impeccably stylish...
This is the best picture I've seen of him. Also glad to see him out of the tight black t-shirt.

If that wasn't Amani he would still look super cool

The One !
So lovely to see an unreconstructed face.
you're right Scott, he would still look as quietly sophisticated and smart regardless of who it was. it is so refreshing to constantly see well dressed men whenever I visit here! Older gentlemen in particular who still value their appearance as much as they did in their 20's...that really means something special to me. I just sent you a picture into the vintage photo contest of my mother Karina...I hope you enjoy it!
xx
fashion boat captain extraordinaire!
A true gentleman...
what an honor it must have been.
love the pic

breathtaking shot....
cannot get enough of the nautical buttons and his enigmatic smile
the contrast of the rich dark coat and the light background is just exquisite
Looking his age.
Elegance !
I Doubt hes wearing his own brand... thats a simple man..... hes approaching the 80 y/o now...and thats the new 50s ... u can do everything when u take goiod care of yourself.... i admire him a lot.... he still makes clothes for every budget available.. and thats a true genius shot.... haute couture for the ones who can pay for it.. and still... the basic for the ones who simply cannot or for the ones who live basic.... i may not like most of his garments... but it doesnt matter... he hit the spot... and i bow my head for him
Eventhough old, but he still rocks. :-) His suit is so nice.
Actually he's not only Mr.Armani... He's King Giorgio...
Thats how we know him in Milan! ;)
La classe.....lucky you, that pic is amazing!
Armani makes life look so easy...
Armani makes life look so easy...
Re Giorgio is back.
As gentle as always even in this casual chic.
He looks gorgeous! I love the coat too. If I had glasses I would take them off for a photo op as well. xo

Still as dashing as ever!!!
Great picture - much more interesting than the heavily doctored picture of him where he appears to be far younger than he really is. His fashion is a bit greige for me but he certainly looks great on this picture and he has had the genius to diversify brands, lines - & successfully so!
Congrats.

Dapper man he is.

Armani........The best one.
Wonderful to see the contrast to the fellow we saw below in the Army Peacoat on Ninth Ave. Yeah, I'm going to have to get me one. Question now is: Navy Blue or Khaki Brown?
he rocks! elegant and talented. that coat is very elegant!
fashion atelier.
I like the way your picture shows not only his style but also the way you've captured the poise, confidence and obvious wisdom.
Elegance perfected.
armani by sartoeialist
AHH! Mr. Armani! Beautiful shot!
Hey, no black background this time! He has changed his ways!
the daddy!
How lucky that he did allow you to shoot him again. He looks royaly leathered and his outfit is very elegant.
I have a coat sort of like the one being worn by this classy gent but unfortunately it's from H&M! Though I feel like this guy wouldn't judge me. Nice picture! The glasses are a nice touch.
I worked for his company in the late 90's - early 00's. I always admired his class, elegance, and simple style. He looks old here, but still radiates the same classic grace. I may not wear much of his clothes anymore, but I will always be a fan. G-d bless Armani!
Numero uno:Mr. Armani
love him.
The admiral needs a hat.
Hail to the King! Elegance personified. I have been a fan of his for 3 decades. His clothes are timeless, almost. The great thing is that you can dress up and/or down, from A/X to Giorgio Armani, and the look is seamless.
♥
Wow, he's dressed simply and beautifully, I'd expect nothing less. He's lived up to my dreams of him.
He has gotten so old... And so beautiful! With wisdom set in his brow.
And of course. I love what he's wearing.
I'm inspired I am going to take my Black Lable peacoat to the tailor to put in some buttons like his.
That jacket, glasses, stance, strong chiseled features.....
All HIS Creation!
you gotta love armani!
Is that perfect jacket of his own design??
Great man, great gentleman!
I am 63 yo, and I love to dress Armani since the seventies. So it is more than 30 years of admiration.
Was like that when I lived in London, Rome and now back in Rio de Janeiro.
Congratulations Sartorialist,
Congratulations Armani
Keep well!
Emperor Armani, more than King!
Un piaccere, Sr. Armani.
hope to be there! but in Barcelona is warmer :)
Mr. Sartorialist, are you planning to go to USA by the end of this week?
regards, Marta
He is such a handsome man. :)
Very nice and you didn't have to use a black background.
nice to visit here.
Mr. Armani is perfect, as usual. Incredible and amazing!
Now I look forward to growing old!
http://thestyledocument.blogspot.com/
such an elegant man - such wise eyes - such graceful poise. is it any wonder that he is the man who has given us so many elegant, wise and graceful clothes for so many years?

That's so hot.
Hello Mr. Armani!!
i'd like to age like armani; not valentino
I love this man, he's my hero! Woderfully elegant & classical look.
Thank god he has not done any plastic surgery. Ageing is so beautiful and natural!
Timeless!
This photo has perfectly captured both Mr. Armani and his brand -- classic, elegant and timeless!
www.sarabbentley.blogspot.com
Wow! Lucky you..He's the best. I met him a couple of years ago in Via Monte di Pietà and I'll never forget the moment my eye catched him and recognize that man as The Man..
Looking at his expression I have the feeling that Mr. Armani would not have let anybody else take this photo. He was just glad to see you, Scott! :-) You can see it on his face. Plus he liked the idea to be a street fashion ikon as well :-))

UN GRANDE ITALIANO. BRAVO ARMANI!
I love Armani, He's one of my fave designers!!
ivointhecity.blogspot.com
He is such a man. We love his outfit.
Mr. Armani steps away from the dark and ominous backdrops (though he is far from evil). What more can I say except that this shot is stunning.
http://aforeigncollective.bigcartel.com/
he looks good, of course, but for a peacoat i think a structured shoulder is more appropriate.
Mr. Armani, I LOVE YOU!!!!!
This man know what to dress to make him look good!
Poignant.
Fragile, yet still dapper.
wow...fantastic..
Excuse me baby, where did you find that coat?
MR. ARMANI, THANK YOU FOR MAKING THE WORLD MORE BEAUTIFUL.
LOVELY SHOT SCOTT, OF SUCH A HANDSOME, ELEGANT MAN
ANNABELLA
We love Giorgio!

GA - The definition of style.
The epitome of manly grace.
'nuff said.
Scott! So you are shooting him now with backgrounds other than black?!
Great man, love
makes me think of surgeon of the couture :-)) nice colour :)
No Botox! Just Bravo!
He doesn't look bad with a lighter background after all!
I like most of the styles posted on this blog, but I'm sorry this is just hideous. The sweater shape isn't too bad but the colors (especially the white pattern) are awful!
Great picture though, and nice pose. I hope I look that good when I'm his age :)
GIORGIO ARMANI! love him and his brand!
