Those shoes and tights really shouldn't go together but its a stroke of genius as it looks amazing. Would love to see what she was wearing under the coat.

Anonymous YYZ said ... (1:09 PM) :

Okay, I would ABSOLUTELY break my "only one item of leopard print at a time" rule if I could do it with this much panache and elegance!

Maybe I'll try it.... :)

Anonymous Chris said ... (1:09 PM) :

What elegance! I really like the combination of bracelets to add a bit of color to the otherwise monochromatic look, excluding the wonderful bag of course.

That coat is one of the most amazing things I have ever seen. haha :)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:20 PM) :

This is fabulous! Leopard and leopard together? Delightful!

Blogger Joy Mars said ... (2:21 PM) :

That's the best pic of Giovanna you've had on the blog so far. She usually wear stuff that cuts her shape up. Here her tall lankiness shows and it really looks chic.

Her hairline which usually seems unattractively low looks perfect here. She should keep that style.

The shoes and tights are awesome.

Wearing red with camel reminds me of a chance meeting I had with Ru Paul one day when he was in his male persona. He was wearing a camel colored suit with soft red loafers. Fabulous!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:21 PM) :

So few women would be able to pull this off. Giovanna, you are blessed!

Blogger Dania Padron said ... (2:27 PM) :

She's always an impecable dresser. Who knew leopard tights and shoues could look so well paired with each other.

Her Fendi bag is the icing on the cake.

Blogger st. valentine said ... (2:27 PM) :

Wow! Nearly any kind of stocking and shoe would go well with that coat, but the leopard-on-leopard is so gutsy. I wonder where the coat is from? And the bag, natch

Blogger Stevermer Company, Inc, said ... (2:29 PM) :

i just love this blog

Blogger Renae said ... (2:45 PM) :

who would have guessed that two different leopard prints could look so fantastic together? The camel coat and red bag pull it together. Amazing!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:45 PM) :

I love all the shots of Milan, especially around Viale Piave. She must have been headed to a Dolce show with that gold invite in hand. I love the shot of Giovanna, but the camera doesn't always capture how much more stunning she is in person.

Blogger SabinePsynopsis said ... (2:46 PM) :

Really don't know much about her but she definitely is on my list of most stylish women ever (and I have a feeling she only smiles for you, Garance and maybe 1 or 2 other photographers).

Anonymous T H E F A T T A C K said ... (2:47 PM) :

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:09 PM) :

amazing tight, shoe combo! lovely.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:09 PM) :

Leopard with camel work great but please avoid both the shoes and tights in leopard as it actually undermines the beauty of the shoes.
I love leopard print! However, it so difficult to wear it properly and it's one of those accessories, which everyone should be very careful with what they combine with.

Blogger Unknown said ... (3:09 PM) :

ooh, fabulous!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:10 PM) :

So Moviestar-esque!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:12 PM) :

Btw, the shoes and the tights with that bag colour are just a big mistake to be put together in one outfit!
I usually adore her style but this just not at all how I have personified Giovanna.
In my opinion, this is more being fashionable without keeping the personal style!

Have a similar pair of stocking which only made me look like I have a disease when I put them on. But on Giovanna - yeeeesh - that woman can pull off most anything, can she?!

Blogger Nedda Ebo said ... (4:05 PM) :

Wow how well does she pull this off? Very confident! And I love those shoes (they look awfully uncomfortable though).

Blogger Sophisticated Misfit said ... (5:53 PM) :

ok, leopard on leopard. I get it. let's move on. there's more in the pic than animal print.

Two things I like and two I dislike are the following:

I like her bag and her watch.
I dislike, the rastafarian-like bracelets and her hairstyle.

She's obviously going for a sophisticated look; her hair and bracelets detract from the presentation.

Blogger bird of light said ... (7:12 PM) :

The Real deal.. her slenderness & grace combined.. with what appears to me, as a juxtaposition of a demure and easy to wear camel coat with such shocking (or difficult..) accessories - truly breathtaking.

Blogger Susan B said ... (7:17 PM) :

Wow, wow, wow. The leopard tights and shoes are genius. It works because the pattern in both is about the same size. And the camel coat....sheer elegance!

Blogger Susan B said ... (7:19 PM) :

For those who have asked about the bag, think it's a Fendi "peekaboo."

Blogger Unknown said ... (7:42 PM) :

Well she's a real Italian lady, no doubt about it. And the combination of the leo-print tights and shoes - pure perfection! It looks so classy, which is not always the case with leo I would say...

Blogger Unknown said ... (8:04 PM) :

eh...not so much. it really doesn't go well together. however, the cut and pleats of the coat are elegant--drastically undershadowed by the cheetah on cheetah.

Anonymous Jessica said ... (8:13 PM) :

The tights, the shoes, the coat are all beautiful, but it's her posture that catches me most. Slightly slouched and terribly elegant.

Meow! I love it--gorgeous woman, gorgeous bold outfit. I have a humble suggestion for your blog. I'd love a search function, so if I see a particular woman whose style I adore (like Giovanna, or Olivia), I could run a search for inspiration from your other photos.

Blogger Jack Daniel said ... (9:46 PM) :

Her coat looks so nice.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:53 PM) :

I think you do the tights or the shoes but not both - seems a little overwhelming together. But hey its her style - so who am i to judge :)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:57 PM) :

so elegant.

Anonymous Lorenita said ... (10:04 PM) :

I usually adore Giovanna for simply being the inimitable Giovanna, with her amazing style as a secondary feature. This time though I recoiled. Am I the only one who hates the camel trend that seems ubiquitous on this site right now? Ugh! I hated it when it was big around 99, and even moreso now. And animal-print tights on such skinny legs just seem awkward - I can't help imagining that her legs are actually those of animals. From the neck up, though, amazing as always.

Anonymous KateSouth said ... (10:05 PM) :

I'm just going to join the chorus and say that she somehow makes the two animal prints work. Flawless and unique as usual!

Blogger roccodante said ... (10:32 PM) :

Groovy, baby just groovy, tights are funky and cool.

Blogger Unknown said ... (10:50 PM) :

Giovanna is flawless as usual. You must have confidence to wear animal print tights AND shoes. The red Fendi Peek-a-Boo bag is amazing.

Giovanna is the chicest, most stylish woman. On this planet. Ever.

Anonymous AnonymousJK said ... (11:06 PM) :

Giovanna, as always is spot on! Saw the shoes/stockings on style.com and wondered about the wearer...of course it would be her. Fab.

This picture could have come from another era, which just proves that true style is timeless!! Beautiful. Love your work.

LOOOOVE her coat :)

My only question is this:
Is there ever a time when you decide it is best NOT to take her photo? I don't assume Giovanna owns a sweatsuit, but you must have seen her looking daggy or not quite so pulled together at least once, Scott?

HA! Love it! First thought - she is having fun with her clothes! Good for her! Not usu. a fan of leopard but the "fun" factor, the twist, made me smile!

I love everything about this EXCEPT the COLOR of the bag- it's almost like a coral... too summery/beachy with this fab city chic look.

Her sandals, coat, hair and eyeglasses are amazing! She really pulls it off although the patterns are unusually mixed, she looks elegantly feminine.
