Comments on "On the Street.....Club Collar, Milano"
wow. Love that hes wearing a tie clip!
♥ bettydarling.blogspot.com ♥
he looks gorgeous!
Cool tie!
http://izzenxoxo.blogspot.com/
I really like how the shades of gray in his clothing correspond with the colour of his hair.
usually not a fan of this collar, but the gentleman wears it well.
everything works well here, the glasses, tie clip, hint of a pocket square.
It's the "small" touch that brings a classic look modern..love that "Peter Panish" collar!
I am dressed like him today
Brilliant. I always think you need a certain amount of wealth, confidence and arrogance to pull off a look like this.
he looks like money.
http://ohdearcharlotte.blogspot.com
I like the subtle curl at the ends of his moustache. If you're going to work this look, you may as well do it properly!
His collar is o so special!
WE SPY WITH MY LITTLE i
So elegant! Love the collar but I think it doesn't work for everybody... need attitude to wear this!
Lovely outfit!
so cool...
Kisses from Italy!

Perfect suit, perfect glases
I think it makes him look like a schoolboy, especially in combo with the tie clasp. Don't like it, although the colors, grooming, etc. are expert.
Thanks for this, love the collar!
Can someone please tell me the type of those glasses?!
Good as far as it goes. His tie and jacket lapels are WAY too narrow, as if he's trying to replicate something he saw in a recent tv drama set in the 1960s.
I love tie clips!!!
http://spottedbym.blogspot.com/
Can someone please tell me the type of those glasses?!?
eehee , loove the moustache :D
CRUSH
Very interesting!!! I personally would have thought the width of the shirt collar would have been too much against the slim lapels, but I like the effect. Of course, this only works if the fit is right and the shirt is perfectly ironed. Great picture and idea!!! Now if we could get a close-up of that tote... Jorge from WPB
La camisa me encanta, tiene un cuello muy bonito. Ambos dos tienen un aire moderno a la vez que clásicos.
Nevermind the collar - check out that perfect beard and stache.
How much do we LOVE Nick Wooster!!!!
Such a hot cutie!!!!!
Definitely not a little boy. This is how men should dress.
Smart enougn but this illustrates two things that really annoy me. 1) overgrooming - suggests a man too obsessed with himself.
2) dark glasses - the eyes are so important in communication. When talking to someone wearing them you're only getting half the message! I find it quite rude.
I'll calm down now ;)
LOVE Nick's new look! The hair, beard and moustache really complement his clothing!
The collar with the narrow lapel, the twist on the corners of his mustache. What a great way to show personal style while wearing a "grey suit".
Would love to see more of this guy, casually dressed in particular.
Agree with 'Dear Charlotte'...He looks like money!!!!!
Bellisssimo!!!
I have to come back - again - to mad men and the 60ies. And the Beatles, as far as I know, they are the last ones who were pround to wear a club collar, 40 yrs. ago! Do we need in our times of crisis fashion representing the swinging sixties and the revolution? (e.g. Obama alias Kennedy).
A funny detail: the curve of the collar repeats itself in the curve of his mustache.
Let me guess, the gentleman works in fashion or in adverstising?
The collar looks like it belongs on a child's smock - don't think any adult can wear it convincingly. The jacket looks one size too small. But I love the white/gray combos.
That tie and sunglasses combo are spot on. And the gray facial hair makes me want old age to come a bit more quickly.
That's a nice shades. Perfect look, cool man.
The club collar can look a bit old-timey; however, this guy blends modern and vintage styles for a fresh look.

nice

I love his hair and tie! Great shot. xo

Steller.. Need you say more? I think not.
For me, the collar, the shades, and the hair all work. Very handsome man. But everything else seems so "high": the tie clip, the jacket button, the bottom hem of the jacket. It looks to me like he's wearing his little brother's suit. It's too bad we can't see his feet. I'm sure his cuffs end two inches above his shoes and, from the other pictures I've seen, I assume he has no socks on!
I agree with SweetPea. Too groomed, give me a (slightly) shabby man anytime!
This man has a perfect blend of old world elegance and modern sophistication. The club collar (which I think perfectly compliments his curled mustache) along with other details such as the glasses, tie bar, and pocket square allude to this elegance. The perfectly tailored jacket, with its narrow lapels and the narrow tie give the look a modern edge that is still timeless. I am a huge fan of this look. I hope I can age so gracefully.
i hope my father like that heheh.. :)
Adore the Eton collars...
Oi, Anonymous not sure who makes his shades, but persol makes a bunch of styles very much like his. Good Luck..
Absolutely fantastic. Dig on the shades. The other mans glasses are fabulous as well. This is why I love the page.
I just came from class and we learn how to sew collars. My classmates were talking at how this one it's generally used in children clothes.
I'll show them how this guy rocks the peter pan collar.
Great Pic!
What a gorgeous man!
It's not the coat. It's not the collar. It's not the tie. It's not the tieclip. I want the name of the barber who tends his beard!
fantastic colour combination.
nice tie. and the bag.
and, of course, the collar
The collar is not easy to pull off but he does it well. And with the addition of the tie clip! Taking risks within the classic! Brilliant!
Ooh la la.
Pretty fantastic.
Love the collar. Great tie, clip, pocket square, grooming....
Nick Wooster.... amazing eye for all things design, dashing, and most importantly a very good human being.
My man is bringing back the round collar. It suits the line movement in his face.
He looks like he is in great shape. He can button at the waist and look so smashing. The beard is trimmed well too. Great shirt, suit, shades, and everything...
Glasses look like Persol 6xx or 714s...
Dopeness !
He's the New Fashion Director of Bergdorf Goodman!
perfect!!!!!
So elegant!
Stunning photo!! Love the glasses and the tie

This man purse trend has got to stop...NOW. Where does it stop?
He's an interesting looking fellow, but the collar reminds me of a Peter Pan collar too much and for some reason seeing it paired with his curled up moustache makes me dislike the collar more....weird, I know. In any case, with the above mentioned exceptions, very stylish man and a really nice photo!
LOOOOOOOVE :
HIS HAIR,
HIS TACHE,
HIMSELF!
IS THERE "ANY"WAY TO GET HIS PHONE NUMBER?!
I disapprove of club collars. It's an affectation without purpose or direction, unusual for the sake of being unusual.
Also, his tie bar is odd. It shouldn't be heavy enough to crease your tie like that.
Nice style, specially looking cool with sun glass.
I need a tie exactly like this one! He´s really well dressed. Very young
The curvature of the club collar is such a darling detail, and the juxtaposition of the rounded element with the crisp lines of the suit produces a singularly lovely effect. It's the sunglasses that really get me though - those are some seriously spiffy shades!
I absolutely have to know where his bag is from!! But since there is so little of it in the pic, I doubt anyone will be able to identify it.
Wow, I don't remember when so many people were so hypercritical of the details that make it all work. I have a suit with that very cut of jacket, believe me it's meant to fit like that. Bumfreezers are so cool, if you have the physique to pull it off that is. I also rock the Eton collar sometimes (with a collar bar, no less, sometimes tieless sometimes not). Sure it's a bit retro, but I didn't realise how divisive it was. The dude has the best grooming ever. Supercool sunglass action just sets it off for me. I just wish I could see the ankles/feet, the trouser bottoms could be make or break for this get up. Mr Tweed says cool as anything.
this dude is a PLATINUM fox. wow.
Really classic masculin chic - I like it! Especially the tie clip - those are so hard to find these days. At least in Berlin...
Elegantísimo!
I just love it (:
"I disapprove of club collars. It's an affectation without purpose or direction, unusual for the sake of being unusual."
Sure. And, 'pointy' represents logic, purpose and direction. The 'club' isn't affected. It's not even "unusual." It's just not common TODAY.
Besides that... this is a 'fashion' blog. All fashion is "affectation" at some level. Why visit if it's not to see something just a bit differently executed? "God is in the details" — LMvdR
That is one pretty picture.
i'm really liking the club collar. antonio banderas rocked it well in The Other Man.
those might be THOM',,
I love Club collars! I hope they are coming back soon
The club collar is ok, but two things are really wrong here:
1. The suit just doesn't fit. The fabric is pinching around the button and the jacket doesn't close. Jacket looks a bit short and pants look too tight.
2. The crisp white shirt and light silver tie evoke springtime, but the heavy flannel suit is a winter look. They don't go together.
Looks like an older man trying too hard to achieve young/hip/trendy. Who wants to bet he purchased a convertible around the same time as that shirt?
Thumbs down, way down. You know I'm right, so don't try to fight it.
It's the 'stache that makes the style for me.
He makes that suit look good.
It should thank him.
i am in LOVE with is mustache. :D
It's all about
MUSTACHE.....
he is so neat....
sexy daddy....im sure he smells good.. i would dare to say... wood and musk .....
Hope my future husband dresses like this!
-Jane @ Brunch at the Beach
amazing busines man
Nice outfit! Perfect!
simply perfect!
see the last tweed and the first linen on suitorial.blogspot.com
what an eye for detail you have! good spotting.
The grey jacket,the shirt,the barb.Perfect & clean.
I would emulate this look. There are just enough details to separate him from a staid Wall Streeter or Trad: slim collar, lapels, and tie. A modern take on the man in the grey flannel suit.
I disagree that the suit is too tight; It is just right for the '10s.
Yeah, with some minor adjustments (sorry club collar and shiny tie) that is probably the living end of style for my personal needs.
Love everything but the collar. Suits fits perfectly and I wish I could see more of his bag. Good look!
LOVE HIM!!
Men dressed like boys... They look stylish but inappropriate
Another one of those pictures where I wish I was that guy, or at least dressed like him. Every day.
"His tie and jacket lapels are WAY too narrow, as if he's trying to replicate something he saw in a recent tv drama set in the 1960s."
You say that as if it's a bad thing. There are good reasons the style of early-to-mid 60s is attractive to lots of people today. It can be aesthetically pleasing on its own terms but is attractive for other things, like seeming that it was last time people embraced adulthood and weren't haunted by their adolescence.
that really is the most beautiful man in the world....wow!
That tie clip up too high and too wide for the tie drives me insane. Men used to wear the tie clip two-thirds of the way down to keep their tie in place. J.Crew stylists put it too high so it can be seen while wearing a jacket. This is not the point and it looks ridiculous.
Crisp look and love the fit of the suit, the proportion of the whole look and the accessories.
the only thing missing is a splendid stripe..
Sharp!
love the collar. ADORE the beard!
obsessed with the stache!!!
i love love love the way he uses the tie clip! it just takes his look to a whole new level. it's the kind of sensibility i hope to acquire
I think he works for the company I work for...
nickelson...wow!
Love the style. btw anyone know what camera he's using??
Look at that Beard and Moustache!!...
I Really like them!!
Not a huge fan of this style collar but this gentleman really pulls it off
lol
Scott,
Next time could ya get the bag in the shot, too. It looks interesting. I am looking for one. While I love Bottega Veneta, I am looking for other options.
Thanks
~Q
I WOULD SOOOOOO WARE THAT!!!!!!!!
i love it <3
love his beard, hair - bet he wears Guerlain vetiver I can smell him from here- would love to have seen his shoes
is this bespoke suit?
I think he is soooooooooo
perfect. what suit is that???
As the dude on the left side of the image I can tell you:
1. He always looks great, dressed up or dressed down.
2. He's super nice and looks even better in person
3. He was indeed wearing socks and the shoes were ... Weston, maybe ... something solid.
4. To the person who complained about men carrying bags: How is one supposed to lug work stuff around? Tied up with string?
Love club collars *because* they look so much like Peter Pan collars (which I also adore), although of course they're not the same; the PPC is flat on the shoulders and the club is up-standing like a regular shirt collar. I just love its roundedness - I have LOTs of club collar shirts, and I don't care whether they're in "fashion" or not. Fashion schmashion. For me it's all about style and what I like to wear.
Mr. Whooster is my style idol. He is also the nicest guy.
