It is so nice to see pictures of Milan where people seem so alive after the utter drabness of London (a zombie town if fashion bloggers are to be believed). You captured her expression v well!

Anonymous IGetaFever said ... (7:48 AM) :

If you'd described this dress to me I don't think I would have liked it - but seeing the execution... Perhaps it's because the color and cut are so unexpected in leather. Really beautiful.

Blogger Kathleen said ... (9:00 AM) :

Love the colors, love the outfit. Too bad she did not take more care with the hair. I am always disappointed when I see someone, male or female, this dressed up in beautiful clothing drop the proverbial ball with unkept shoes or a last minute hair fix.

Blogger whyioughtta said ... (9:04 AM) :

I've been reading a lot about wabi-sabi lately. To me, this outfit has it.

Blogger Laguna Beach Fogey said ... (9:05 AM) :

Great photo. She's very distinctive and I can see why she would stand out in a crowd. She's really rockin' it cave-girl style. Is she wearing a turtle-skin dress?

Blogger Nadine2point0 said ... (9:10 AM) :

Totally agree with the sunglasses comments. Everything else about her look went according to plan....and then she reached for some shades.
I do love how you caught her cheeky smirk. Great photo.

love the smile and the outfit but never understood the appeal or the function of fingerless gloves. gorgeous nonetheless!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:12 AM) :

this is perfect.

Anonymous Sofia Prado said ... (9:16 AM) :

So much lovely leather, I can almost smell it. Favorites? The braided handles on the bag and the softness of the gray shirt to juxtapose all the toughness in the leather.

I love the leathers in her outfit. The gloves with the nail polish and cig are divine (sorry, visually speaking, it's still a great accessory...).

But I think I wore those glasses to watch avatar...

Anonymous Maryanne said ... (10:01 AM) :

Anonymous Daviddixit said ... (10:29 AM) :

Very nice indeed. The colours, the leathers, even the nail polish ! Perhaps the glasses could come off, other than that the only improvement possible would be that she was naked... but still with the nail polish!

Blogger 12052 said ... (11:32 AM) :

Aren't these the 3D movie glasses? They're hideous.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:54 AM) :

I'm liking the shapes and textures a lot (even though gator skin kinda creeps me out). The sunglasses are a bit over-done in my opinion, but hey overall it is a winner in my little book.

One thing I just have to get off my chest, is how annoying it is to see all these beautiful, creative people smoking! Grrr. I've been following this blog consistently for a long time (well, as long as it's been going, at least), and while I can always still respect the photo and the outfit, it does get on my nerves the shear number of smokers around here. But, hey, that's just my opinion and I still love these pics! I guess this is more a rag on the culture associated with fashion, which unfortunately tends to promote an unhealthy lifestyle. Oh well.

Blogger Unknown said ... (12:49 PM) :

She looks familiar. Is she an actress? This look seems tailored for her. I cannot get over the texture. The polished nails are a plus.

Also, I love the cropped shot of the young woman with eyeglasses gazing at the subject of the photograph.

Blogger Maria said ... (12:53 PM) :

those gloves! where can i get those...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:54 PM) :

love the look! the gloves, the bag, the leather dress, the sunglasses. she is beyond

Anonymous AnonymousJK said ... (12:57 PM) :

Oh those beautiful gloves...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:06 PM) :

I agree with bamto: when I first saw her, she reminded me of Franka Potente.
like the cool attitude.

Anonymous princess glee said ... (1:47 PM) :

That could've easily been leather overkill but it's not. It's fantastic!

Blogger kukla said ... (2:10 PM) :

This is me, minus the sigarette:)

Blogger Lin said ... (3:06 PM) :

I love it. I need those gloves. Looking through the comments it doesn't seem like anyone knows where to find something similar? Alas!

Anonymous Natasha said ... (3:23 PM) :

nice to see this sort of leather item working well so casually, a great outfit, especially the colours-and the gloves are so quirky! love it

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:41 PM) :

She looks incredible. Can't wait for winter now! The nails also make a huge difference...will keep that in mind...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:06 PM) :

I absolutely love the girl! She looks sooo.... Great! God, I love her dress so much!

Blogger MSlattery said ... (5:28 PM) :

Funny what one likes appalls another. I like the messy hair, and the handbag straps. The shape of the dress is kind of gladiator? though, but the color and texture are great on her. Fingerless gloves: why not? Cigarette? Oh well, she has time to quit.
Sunglasses ... who is it who says: Pffff all the time.....?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:51 PM) :

Exquisite gloves.

Anonymous Russian Navy said ... (6:22 PM) :

Anonymous Cecylia said ... (6:24 PM) :

What a wonderful leather dress!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:32 PM) :

Way too much leather going on although the colours and layers are lovely as are the individual pieces. Anyone near her hoping to catch a zephyr of that lovely leather scent would be sorely disappointed.

Blogger May Brady said ... (7:26 PM) :

Are those gloves by Julia Deville?

http://maybrady.blogspot.com/

Blogger Joy Mars said ... (7:51 PM) :

Sophisticated color combination. Lucky that the background wall matches. The fingerless gloves would be a bit affected if she weren't so natural looking and if her tunic didn't balance them so well.

Blogger Paige said ... (8:15 PM) :

I just love the mixes of different materials and neutrals.

Blogger Prutha Raithatha said ... (8:56 PM) :

absolutely love her leather dress and bag!! freaking awesome!!
http://www.donotshoeme.blogspot.com/

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:27 PM) :

She looks like I did when I was twenty and on my way down. Maybe a little out of control...so the picture makes me anxious. I always love BV bags, and the gloves are great, and the attitude is fragile, temporary and fashionable, but not so solid, as some of your real beauties. Interesting..a thousand words..

Blogger roccodante said ... (10:30 PM) :

I really love the bag and gloves. Very chic.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:56 PM) :

I have to dissent from the overwhelming majority who seem to love this. The dress (or shirt?) looks like what it is - an animal hide - unfortunately not much more or much less. It's extraordinarily unflattering, in my view. Leather can be fashioned into such lovely things, but as a unifying theme, it doesn't seem quite right (at least not in this outfit).

Blogger eesa said ... (11:55 PM) :

that whatever she is wearing+the cutoffgloves are fabulous

Blogger thwany said ... (2:43 AM) :

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:27 AM) :

i don't drool over bags, but that is one awesome bag. love the braid texture, et al. and on the whole she's nicely turned out.

Blogger Anna said ... (11:23 AM) :

LOVE the cut-off gloves, and I detest leather gloves on women normally! great with the vamp nail polish!

Blogger Martha Jane said ... (11:29 AM) :

Sooo Bonnie Cashin; love it!!

Agree about the smoking; a tragedy. Hopfully someday we'll say, "can you beleive people were still smoking in 2010!?"

Blogger CW said ... (1:03 PM) :

Where did she find the brown reptile-print hospital smock?

Blogger mimi sioux said ... (2:34 PM) :

how cool!!
a leather dress!

Blogger CW said ... (5:35 PM) :

I also dislike this dress. The cut makes it look like a hospital smock.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:58 PM) :

Awed by the different leather items and wonder what there was from the hem down. Boots I bet. Anyway, that leather tunic is really interesting as are the leather fingerless gloves and oh! the bag! But I bet she's freezing her patooty off. Leather isn't warm...Masterful color mixer, too.

Blogger I V E S T I T I ! said ... (7:41 PM) :

Gloves!

I VESTITI!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:19 PM) :

Great outfit and take on leather!

To all the people talking about smoking; STFU, talk about the fashion and the picture and not about the cigarettes, its getting really annoying. Its Europe; more people smoke and unlike here one is not looked upon as a criminal when smoking a cigarette while people the size of elephants are walking down the streets chowing on their big macs

Blogger joanaddicted said ... (2:51 PM) :

i love her style! the gloves are so unique and she is like the centre of the world, standing spontaneously around all these people... nice glasses, beautiful nails, amzing bag (i'd like to have the whole image though..), and absolutely great colors match of brown, grey, black and orange!
