Beautiful speedy vuitton vageta

Anonymous lolly said ... (9:50 AM) :

Why do people think that sandals worn with socks area good idea?
Why do they wear sandals in winter and boots in the summer?
It makes no sense to me. Maybe I'm old fashioned but I like sandals worn with a perfect pedicure and nothing more and when its cold I find boots are worm and comforting.
Plus grey, green, brown and tobacco worn together is just confusing.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:54 AM) :

She's great. Looks wonderful. But I have always had an aversion to this speckled fabric going back to the eighties when it was massively popular.

I prefer real tweed.

Blogger The Sluice Box said ... (9:55 AM) :

This is a look we simply don't see in San Francisco. Thanks for sharing this slice of Parisian style.

I have that LV Epi in black and somehow it just doesn't look as good as this one does in brown. Must be the ease in which she carries it, or maybe it's the overall style of this woman that makes the bag look so great. Instead of making it the feature of her outfit, it just is...

Blogger davidikus said ... (11:14 AM) :

Is this Garance? I did not recognise her without her trademark curly hair! This is a great coat and the surroundings are enchanting.

Blogger Gary said ... (11:14 AM) :

It's Garance isn't it ? Very nice outfit. I love her bag and her coat. The colors are great. It's in the Tuilleries garden if I'm not wrong. Beautifull sunny day and smile. What more do one need ? The brown paper bag is cool too in the color composition.

My initial suspicion that this might be Garance proves untrue, though I bet she's green with fashion envy.

What is the name of this bag, it isn't an Epi is it?

speedy nomade

Anonymous Catherine like Deneuve said ... (4:31 PM) :

I looked at this three times today without commenting, but I keep coming back to it.
The coat seems very big. Where the buttons are, it looks like it's double-breasted, but the other row of buttons isn't done. So she used the belt to wrap it shut tightly and to keep it closed. I think.
Thus, my first analysis is that the coat is vintage/thrift/something funky like that. Clever.
But that doesn't jibe with the bag, which must cost as much as the first car of the coat's original owner. So my theory is in doubt.
What I like, other than the wonderful laughing eyes, are the touches of brown as you descend: belt, bag, socks/shoes. Were everything black, it would be so dull. Had she done the same with another color (red? blue? purple?) it would have looked garish. But that's why she's a stylist, isn't it.

Blogger Carolina Andrade said ... (4:42 PM) :

i would kill for this bag.

Blogger Ladybird said ... (4:51 PM) :

Look at those shoes!

Anonymous olafgermany said ... (5:27 PM) :

This is Camille Bidault-Waddington, the ex-wife of musician Jarvis Cocker (Band Pulp). She lives in Paris and have always a great "ca m'est egal" style. The speedy bag is a special order by LV, which they sometimes have in storage.

Anonymous isobel said ... (5:47 PM) :

i look at this blog everyday, in the hope that it will give me some inspiration to dress for the day. and THIS is how i aspire to look... stylish, quirky, approachable, fun, but still to be taken seriously... malheuresement, the life of a medical student doesnt allow much time for shopping.

one of my favourite pics of the past while. delish. thank you.

Anonymous Anne said ... (6:04 PM) :

the best is her smile hidden under her hand...very cute and very Camille Bidaut-Waddington....no?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:12 PM) :

As someone who hates winter clothing and loves sandals this makes me smile. I wish I was daring enough to wear my sandals with socks. I love it. And boy to I hate it when EVERYONE knows what bag you are carrying so I woudl ditch that as wonderful as it is.

Blogger Mari said ... (9:54 PM) :

She looks so much like Garance in this picture. Maybe it's the pose, the smiling eyes and the choice of an unconventional speedy model.

Blogger Lisa said ... (10:09 PM) :

This is fashion. I love every little bit of this woman and this photo.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:25 PM) :

Her combination of socks with the tights and the open toe shoe really inspires me to finally try that trend out!

Blogger The Barely Tattoo'd Artist said ... (10:41 PM) :

Socks with tights...interesting concept and I will have to try that out, perhaps next year...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:49 PM) :

Rolled down brown socks, brown belt in the same tone, light brown t-straps, mineral blue tights, pebbly grayish blue coat -- colors both understated and bold. Endearing gesture, soft hair against the crisp blue sky, rather masculine 1940's style shoulders and lapels: soft and angular at the same time. Love her funky/classic style, and your photo composition!
