Comments on "On the Street....All The Right Moves, Paris"
she seems to be surviving the cold just fine!
Love it!!! Great outfit!
I want those shoes!
Love everything, and how did you manage to get that coordinating chair in the shot?
Super cool coat! Great style!
Fashion women of the world, save up your money and buy one of these speedy bags. It could very easily be the last bag you will ever need! Jorge from West Palm Beach
The BAG!! Who makes it?
Love all the elements that come together here. APC clog sandals from last year? Is that Garance?
loooove the sandals, loove the coat with the belt!!
I want that bag -- and some of that personal radiance wouldn't hurt either. gimme!
Beautiful speedy vuitton vageta
Why do people think that sandals worn with socks area good idea?
Why do they wear sandals in winter and boots in the summer?
It makes no sense to me. Maybe I'm old fashioned but I like sandals worn with a perfect pedicure and nothing more and when its cold I find boots are worm and comforting.
Plus grey, green, brown and tobacco worn together is just confusing.
She's great. Looks wonderful. But I have always had an aversion to this speckled fabric going back to the eighties when it was massively popular.
I prefer real tweed.
This is a look we simply don't see in San Francisco. Thanks for sharing this slice of Parisian style.

Garance is laughing with her eyes!Dressed in black without being boring, predictable.Making her statement!
LOVE the vintage luggage bag! <3
I will emulate the socks plus sandals tomorrow before I forget.

Love the bag- Love the green tights, but most of all love the hidden smile and laughter!! Very playful. Lovely.
yeah !!
camille Bidault waddington is alway perfect !!!

camille Bidault waddington is alway perfect !!!
MAIS C'EST PAS GARANCE?????????
This is one time that I actually like socks with shoes -she looks fantastic and pulls of the layering incredibly well.
my favorite miss dore looks effortlessly cool and inspiring in her belted salt & pepper tweed coat and sweet smile. love!
xo,
sylvie of silver lining
Oh..the little sister of Miss Marple! This practical dark masculin coat and the doctor's bag.
I love that postwar look where we can perceive the quality and beauty. And this touch of green. Pluperfect!
I thought it was Garance! Love her shoe/sock combination. And the skinny belt over a bulky coat. Love the play on proportions.
Once again the coat is the star of the picture! Great choice of fabric! Its A fabric that is underused
I agree whith Jorge...I want this bag!!!
Aw, too cute! Love the outfit (that belted coat is gorge!), and the LV bag, beautiful patina! Garance's expression and smiling eyes are just priceless!
Sigh, that bag is wonderful.
However the absolute best thing about this photo is how you captured her personality and laughter.
Her expression is pricesless. Cool shoes too!
It is about the green and the brown. Great look.
Terrific, fantastic and amazing. Her design is unique and she looks gorgeous to her outfit. I love fashion! Continue inspires many people. Thanks for sharing your pics to us. More power to your site! God bless
open toe shoes with socks? no matter how you dress them up it's still socks with sandals.
closed toe shoes with socks look fine and rather cute.
Seriously ... how can I get my hands on that LV bag??? I saw it in another Sartorialist photo that was divine ... must need bag!
beautiful! the cognac platforms are to die for, I've been searching for a similar pair myself for Spring!

I have that LV Epi in black and somehow it just doesn't look as good as this one does in brown. Must be the ease in which she carries it, or maybe it's the overall style of this woman that makes the bag look so great. Instead of making it the feature of her outfit, it just is...
Is this Garance? I did not recognise her without her trademark curly hair! This is a great coat and the surroundings are enchanting.
http://davidikus.blogspot.com/
It's Garance isn't it ? Very nice outfit. I love her bag and her coat. The colors are great. It's in the Tuilleries garden if I'm not wrong. Beautifull sunny day and smile. What more do one need ? The brown paper bag is cool too in the color composition.
She looks adorable. Socks + heels = winner...

This is great! The laugh, smile you've captured is infectious. Thanks.
I love how all the women are belting their coats. I also love the warm cognac color of her bag with her heels. I love how she mixed it up with the green tights and the maroon colored socks. It works! xo

Love her coat and her unique style!
Adoro ese bolso!! Maravilloso.
Bravo, Camille! This is lovely, but what else does one expect from such talent as Camille??! Greatness.
this is not Garance but Camille Bidault-Waddington
J'ADORE her SHOES
love all the colors- her bag, shoes, and paper bag. The belted coat is FAB! and i love love love that you caught her mid-laugh. I'd love to know what she was looking/laughing at.

I love the Louis Vuitton bag from the Nomade collection. Simply the very best craftmanship money can buy.
I love this - simplicity at its best. I want a coat just like that! And shoes. And bag..

So fabulous! The maxi-size comes in pairs :) The Bag and the jacket!

The bag the bag the bag...
love her pose and the subtle matching of her tights with the green bench in the background
Big coat, skinny belt again. Love it again.
love the atmosphere of this pic.
the woman has everything goin' for her! she looks stunning without being over the top or too crazy.
accessories are well chosen. they catch ur eye but are quite classy. all in all a nice, chic and yet casual look.
bravo!
An exception for me re: sandals with socks because it's still obviuosly a cool day in Paris.
I really like how genuine the expressions have been with this and the photo before. Lovely.
http://nadine2point0.blogspot.com/
My initial suspicion that this might be Garance proves untrue, though I bet she's green with fashion envy.
What is the name of this bag, it isn't an Epi is it?
LOVE that coat! And the green tights are awesome!

love loev love this picture!! how candid!!!
http://donotshoeme.blogspot.com/
I love everything!
Wow. Fab coat too.
speedy nomade
I looked at this three times today without commenting, but I keep coming back to it.
The coat seems very big. Where the buttons are, it looks like it's double-breasted, but the other row of buttons isn't done. So she used the belt to wrap it shut tightly and to keep it closed. I think.
Thus, my first analysis is that the coat is vintage/thrift/something funky like that. Clever.
But that doesn't jibe with the bag, which must cost as much as the first car of the coat's original owner. So my theory is in doubt.
What I like, other than the wonderful laughing eyes, are the touches of brown as you descend: belt, bag, socks/shoes. Were everything black, it would be so dull. Had she done the same with another color (red? blue? purple?) it would have looked garish. But that's why she's a stylist, isn't it.
i would kill for this bag.
Look at those shoes!
This is Camille Bidault-Waddington, the ex-wife of musician Jarvis Cocker (Band Pulp). She lives in Paris and have always a great "ca m'est egal" style. The speedy bag is a special order by LV, which they sometimes have in storage.
i look at this blog everyday, in the hope that it will give me some inspiration to dress for the day. and THIS is how i aspire to look... stylish, quirky, approachable, fun, but still to be taken seriously... malheuresement, the life of a medical student doesnt allow much time for shopping.
one of my favourite pics of the past while. delish. thank you.
the best is her smile hidden under her hand...very cute and very Camille Bidaut-Waddington....no?

I love the chunky socks and sandals. The colors are simply magnificent!
xx
As someone who hates winter clothing and loves sandals this makes me smile. I wish I was daring enough to wear my sandals with socks. I love it. And boy to I hate it when EVERYONE knows what bag you are carrying so I woudl ditch that as wonderful as it is.
She looks so much like Garance in this picture. Maybe it's the pose, the smiling eyes and the choice of an unconventional speedy model.
This is fashion. I love every little bit of this woman and this photo.
Finally.... a bag that need not have a logo to speak of its quality, elegance and luxury... long live to NO LOGOs!!!!!
"Simplicity is the ultimate luxury"

love the coat, the bag, the tights and the shoes. and the giggling.
she looks very happy.
beautiful picture of her as well as the stunning three leathers-the belt, bag, and shoes. amazing jacket paired with green tights and chunky knit socks=i love this.
http://watermelonfeet.blogspot.com
Her combination of socks with the tights and the open toe shoe really inspires me to finally try that trend out!
Socks with tights...interesting concept and I will have to try that out, perhaps next year...
Rolled down brown socks, brown belt in the same tone, light brown t-straps, mineral blue tights, pebbly grayish blue coat -- colors both understated and bold. Endearing gesture, soft hair against the crisp blue sky, rather masculine 1940's style shoulders and lapels: soft and angular at the same time. Love her funky/classic style, and your photo composition!
Killer outfit. Love the shoes.
xx
cayliek.blogspot.com
i love those shoes. no, the socks are to die for ... oh, wait a minute ... that coat looks so chic and comfortable. oh, crap. i'll take the whole outfit!
my favorite part- the tights with the socks with the sandal. perfect way to wear your summer shoe in the winter! wish it were cold enough here for me to be able to try that out.
I like her 'coz she's kinda shy typa girl.
LOVE the shoes! Who makes those and where can I get some?
oups, j'ai pense que c'etait Garance moi aussi... j'adore les chaussures portees avec les chaussettes + collants opaques... le sac est sublime bien sur, mais il sera encore plus magnifique dans qq annees!
Cute expression :)

Hi Scott,
love your picture! Camille B-W naturally shines, never vulgar even in provocative pictures, there's something incredibly special about her!
BTW, i posted a picture of her backstage at Sonia Rykiel on www.sylviaetc.blogspot.com AND there is also a picture of you and Garance !!
All the best,
Wow, this is so chic!
Perfect and yet subtle color combination.
http://lhabitue.blogspot.com/
color of the bag. i love you perfect shade of wonderful.
Her laugh is contagious! Really!
...Coat, bag and shoes... what can I say? They fit perfectly with this beautiful figure!
http://lamiamodadiessere.blogspot.com/
photo magnifique !! elle ressemble comme deux goutes d'eau à Garance :)
Des bisous de CELINE&CHARLOTTE
Absolutely!
Love the shoes - I believe they're Marni.
It's Camille Biddault Waddington, not Garance. I remember spotting her in Paris a couple of years ago and admiring her orange speedy bag...Just goes to show how long they last! I like that I can really feel the bright crisp day in this picture.
The green tights. Oh my god, the green tights. They are so perfect with the tweed and the brown.
http://lesadventuresdulorax.blogspot.com
The LV bag is beautiful, I like the whole outfit actually.
Magnifique!!!
How chic!! Although I HATE thick socks with sandals I have to admit this outfit is so perfect, esepecially for winter (lol obviously).
It's very Prada (think Fall 2009), especially the thin leather belt.
love the belt
Love those shoes! Great shot
nice girl ;)
i don't get it. I think it's a rather unattractive getup.
the BAG doing all the look!
Belted coat wow sandals and socks those green tights and yes that chair!!!
I like her discrete LV bag
Love love love the outfit! The coat, the shoes, the bag....ohh
Shoes in socks are amazing!
http://shetakesfotos.blogspot.com
Love this photograph Scott. Your camera picks up her lovely features and outfit, as well as her incredible personality. I feel like I got to know her a little bit after seeing this picture.
