Comments on "The Casting, Paris"
I can't describe how much I love the socks/tights with leather strappy sandals look. So good to be able to wear my summer platforms in the cooler months!
Beautiful shots Sart, as always.
love, love, love, want the glasses in the second photo.
Love the sandals...incredible how they give a touch of spring to the whole style..!
lovely photos - the sandals in the 1st and 3rd photo are great.
Picy No. 1 you win! combination of fabrics and textures! we like!
www.wespywithmylittlei.blogspot.com
In love with the 3rd look!
Sandals with socks were just perfect.
I love her tights in the first pic!
Though these are nice outfits, can't say that I like any of them.
I love how classic pieces like a denim shirt and khakis can be so easily updated with current style elements like the rolled cuff and platform sandals. Some things just never lose their intrinsic value and attractiveness..
I love the second girl...Don't you come to Italy to do a casting?
beautiful looks, congratulations.
I like leather bels.

Yes, they are interesting, look great and have great style :D
thanks for sharing!
kiss
What are these beautiful girls casting for, I wonder. In any case I could wear outfit no. 1 all day, every day - it's perfect!
Love it!! Very lovely pictures!
each pic has a different feeling that I love!
Wow the 1st picture is gorgeous- I adore her outfit!
amazing women <3
www.thegoldenmode.com
These are fantastic, Scott. Similar but different from your streetstyle photos. I love the outfit in the first , the smile of the girl in the second and the confidence of the girl in the third. Do you use your 5d Mk II and 50mm lens for work that you do for clients or do you rent another camera/lens?
The captures make them look like professional models...
Well! let me tell you that THAT was a great idea!
Great shots, as always!!!
so beautiful! i adore the third outfit.
http://randomnotesonrandomstuff.blogspot.com/
They are adorable, nice photos. I love real girls. They are so....unpremeditated??
It seems that burberry's last collection made its' effect...socks + sandals. First pic, great mix of textures!
fashiondoseblog.blogspot.com
Love the suiting and styling in the first shot.
Oh, they're all so gorgeous! I hate how some people say fashion is bad because it makes people feel like they are physically inferior when they send perfectly-formed models down the runway. These pictures prove that fashion is for everyone and can make anyone look fabulous!
http://izzenxoxo.blogspot.com
These girls look wonderful particularly the one in the knit shorts.
The first woman's look is the best--she makes the most of her long luscious legs. Great soft tones broken up by the black too. Stefano Pilates has a great sense of style. I have read of him before and appreciate his perspective of fashion.
I love the bottom photo. She is very very beautiful!
I absolutely adore the first photo with the matching knit short suit...the simple jewellery and the basic black top. It's simple, classic and yet really unusual and fun (the blazer, shorts and tights look that is) and the way she knotted the belt is just ingenious.
i love the first outfit!! the super cute short i wanna buy!
paris so nice
Très belles et surtout Virginie!!!
"Real girls"? Really? These are models, c'mon.
I really like the outfit on the first photo!!
http://miamarionette.blogspot.com/
ok, it might looks like I have memorized the entire blog but I randomnly ended up on 24/03/2009 and it's the same girl (the first one)! Great style and curls then and great style and curls now.
V
Love them all. I'm going to die if I can't get some of these wooden platforms!
Aren't all girls real, even models? Or are they really made of thin air and glossy paper?
Many models on the catwalks are rather scary-skinny and dis-gracious nowadays anyhow, so these unusual looks interest me quite a lot. The women you show are really feminine. I really look forward to seeing (some of) them in your ad. Keep us posted.
http://davidikus.blogspot.com
Sartorialstylish!
I adore the shorts from the top picture and glasses from the middle picture.
The first outfit is so interesting. I love the colors, the fact that her shorts are knit, the way the jacket looks like it was made for those shorts, the way the buttons match the belt, the way the knit of the shorts has a kind of ribbing that is echoed in the tights.
Girl No. 2 has tons of charm.
No. 3 reminds me too much of the '80s. Or was that the late '70s? Anyway, been there done that.
REAL women rock! Why doesn't the fashion industry use more "gals off the street" in its print work? Is it really all that hard to work with non-professionals?
I love the style in the first photo!
These girls all look great but why the term "real girls"? We all know that it is just a marketing gimmick at this stage and if these are "real girls" what does that make everyone else?
I'm struck by how their style is intentional yet not overly done. Looks great.
www.thesluicebox.com
I love the third look.
I think it's the coolest.
L'HABITUÉ
The first one is absolutely perfect ! Sunny side
Nice outfits, great styles.
wow! what gorgeous ladies. I recognize one of them from photos of yours from the past. I have to say that it's because of people like this (and of course your beautiful work) that I LOVE following your blog. It's so much more exciting to me than many of the campaign spreads or runway shows that I see each season.
The girl on the first photo is amazing! She's so stylish! I love her look!
Love

for londonblogger
these are "real girls" in the sense that they are not models
they really have great look!
the one in the second picture kinda resembles blogger louise "pandora". she's so pretty with those glasses!
fashion atelier.
to me...this here is effortless style...and so natural too....I mean it just happens as she/they goes about doing whatever it is that she does!....
THX SAR!
Ciao Ciao
Just an observation.
i want the first gal's look from head-to-toe. so lovely.
Self confidence is so alluring.
Oh my goodness, I love these pictures. Intentional, but not-overdone. Yes, isn't that Parisienne style? At least, that's how I see it. Wonderful.
I love all three styles!Very natural and simple yet beautiful!
xoxo
These are fantastic photos but i'm just wondering whether you consider these women "real"? They are all skinnier than our average woman and, although beautiful, are not our average girl. Would you ever consider using women of sizes six and up? Using their beautiful curves and getting the idea that women with legitimately AVERAGE weight are normal, telling us all that we dont need to alter our genes to become like these models we see in mass media every single day.
to RosieBee
yes these girls are "real" but above average
hate to be a drag, but shorts with tights and tights with sandals is so ugly. sorry.
The first dress is wonderful!!!
the photos reminder me of Chloe f/w 2010 collection. love

I'm all for using real woman, but I never get the whole argument for use 'curvacious' (generally overweight) woman (size 12 is the average woman size in the uk, which on an average height woman-5'4- normally puts them in the obese health category), Surely thats like promoting bad health? Thats not to say they cant look beautiful, larger woman most certainly can (and i dont think size 12 is large either!) and i totally agree that super skinny is not cool either, but i'd rather see healthy, fit thin people than either extremes.
The photos (and the girls) are so fresh. They look like Spring and Summer rolled together. Wonderful photos.
I'm in favor for real ladies as to fake / celeb ones.
Girl number one has beautiful hair, and i love her look. The second is also cute, but the third "real girl" just looks like a flat-out model. She has a great outfit on, though.
Can someone please explain the appeal of the plastic glasses? I think they look terrible on everyone! Didn't we all try to avoid wearing big, dorky glasses in the 80's? There are going to be a lot of "What was I thinking" photos 10 years from now.
That said, photos are beautiful, as always.
These photos look so untouched and real =) lovesit! and I especially adore the outfit worn in the first photo.
love these outfits they are so caual but still so cool! a great way to get a cool casual look i have found is by whearing a chintiandparker T-shirt! which are great!!!!
The first shot is my favorite, her outfit shine and so does her confidence!
I am in love with the style of all three girls. The socks and sandals look, the classic khaki and chambray outfit, everything.
cute ...but those "real girls" all kinda look like models. lol.
Wherever did #1 get those shorts? They are sublime....
Where do all the woman buy there shoes omg LOVE them....
i just
love
love
love
the shorts in the first shots
but anyways
all the girls a lovely
for real...
the look in the first pic and the smile of the second one are the top!
Isn't the first girl Ondine Azoulay? Adore the way she puts pieces together.
I love the first girl and the last girl is really pretty.
www.FashionSnag.com
Again and again, you are great at capturing people's essence!
The third one looks like a mini carine!
beautiful and so stylish
all the women are gorgeous
the bottom look is great, the denim shirt, high waisted khakis with the woven belt (that matches the shoes perfectly. and the dark socks are a nice touch!)
magnifique
Pic no. 1 is cooler than cool 'cause her effort is just right--not over or under done.
Love the looks of all three! However the first one is my fav!! I love the hight waisted shorts with the belt and tights!!
http://www.developlcothing.com/
What cool girls indeed! Hopefully we'll see some more in the upcomign posts? :)
Love the girl with the glasses. As a personage who has had to wear glasses since i was three, and had to put up with the widely circulated view that a girl with glasses will never find a man, i am happy that they are being appreciated in this way. Big glasses are fun--why bother trying to hide the fact you are wearing glasses. I don't think she will regret this pair; it shows she looks happy, who could regret that?
My dad wants his chinos from the 1980's back.....
Sorry, but I don't think this is stylish or flattering, esp. on such a cute girl.
I'm fan of the short at the first picture!

www.leblogdemasha.blospot.com
I love the first look, but the shoes in the last one are incredible!
xx
I think the first photo and the last are beautiful; the last girl has a very ralph lauren look going on.
High-waisted trousers flatter no one.
these are beautiful!
i especially love that first outfit, those shorts are fabulous!
xo
A note to some of my fellows,
These girls are still "real girls" even though they're great looking and stylish. A beautiful girl does not a supermodel make, and by contrast, many of the best models may not be the prettiest girl you've ever seen.
And to Scott, "real" or "fake" or "model" or whatever, these photographs and looks are so spectacular! I'm amazed that you manage to work your magic with the lighting even indoors.
I find interesting that you use the term 'real' to refer to these women. I know it's rhetorical but interesting nonetheless. Real dichotomises with fake, but also with ideal.
I, being part of the 'real' lot, loved this pictures because of their character independence I found the women true to themselves(their style, their clothes, their whole persona). At least that's what I thought when I saw the shots.

ebay auction for charity sounds good...but it wouild be cool if anyone, even those without ebay or blogger accounts can have a chance.
Perhaps the contest would be the first person to identify the pictoral reference from a page of the celine book, though it would have to be a page other than the ones pictured to be fair. To verify each person can submit a comment with a code word or initials or e-mail address. Instead of posting the comment you could keep it and e-mail or something the winner. Though, if you were going to have a one question contest it would be easier to just e-mail you the answer (maybe you create a temporary e-mail address we can send answers to?)
love the concept. wish there were some more real girls to choose from.
www.greeneggsandglam.blogspot.com
Ondine, you look fab! I looove your look (1st pic). Been wearing the leather belt twist a lot myself.
Great pics as usual!
Sorry to break it to you but - well dressed, skinny, tall girls on unwalkable heels are not "real". But good luck searching...
That said the girls are wonderful, of course.
That's a lovely pose. The two girls are very attractive.
love the denim shirt and the socks with the sandals. great style.
This is not good....nor is the second one. Perhaps the worst I have ever seen on this blog. But hey they cant all be amazing!
#2 - cutest overbite ever. Just saying.
Love the knotted belt in the first pic! Super cool idea.
All lovely but pic number one is amazing. Such natural style!
Ooh, the first girl is completely adorable with her shorts/tights/shoes! And the second has the cutest smile

http://tsukikoforvoriagh.com/
lovelovelove the socks with the sandals! It's the prefect way to wear them in the spring weather.
Scott, I'm glad you put "real girls" in quotes since all of these ladies are thinner and prettier that real girls- not sure where you're finding these "average" girls- also, the last photo, girl in khakis, looks like it was pulled from adverts for The Gap-yikes!!!
I love the last girl's look- rolling up pleated khakis? Chambray shirts? Platform sandals? So fresh, so special. "Sart", you are a dream.
Whats wrong with the girls these days? those ultra long hair are not in or hot.... the first girl is amazingly well dressed..but that hair is like a tsunami in paradise.... waves taking away the beauty.....have a haircut..and have some fun... i would make it really short and make the color ultra blonde....assymetrically done... that would be perfect for her long face... once again.. maria bethania is starting a witch trend... dont go out tonight!
All of the girls are rocking.very good body posture..
Yeah.....thanks for sharing.very nice pics..and I found the all of the women true to themselves.
Loving the first pic. Wish I could touch the fabric of her blazer...
scentofstyle.blogspot.com
They're divine!

anyone who know where those wooden wedge in the first picture are from? Love them
love the top girl's outfit, wish it had a little more color, perhaps some blue in it somewhere... but otherwise, those shorts and that blazer i love them!
Eeerrmm, real girls? They still look model-like pretty and skinny too me.
Oh, I love the girl with the glasses. And I like her teeth! How fun, wish you were doing a real girl casting here in So. Cal!
love the 3rd.

Love the tights with shorts look
A la mode
ohlalamode.blogspot.com
High-waisted trousers flatter no one.
die casting
Can these "real girls" be larger than a size 2?
I would LOVE to see "real girls" with shape and volume.
Wow, a class I like. Very stylish! :)
Love the sandals...incredible how they give a touch of spring to the whole style..!
Seeing these fashion photos brings a sense of sadness over me. I feel like I missed a life I could have led. There's just a certain joy to wearing such fun and beautiful clothes on such beautiful bodies.
