Comments on "On the Street....Seventies Chic, Pitti Uomo"
So chic.
The men in Milan have such a great sense of style...
Israeli men should learn from them...
Hook The Look
guapo!!!!
Love the styling of navy blazer with white jeans and aviator sunglasses. Very masculine and elegant at the same time!
Let's grow up later
i love the cigar!
The velvet monochromatic look is fantastic. An Outstanding shot indeed.

Different times, but they both had stylists.
he reminds me so much my dad..!he is 58 and stills having the same attitude. I love this picture!!
I think your onto something...a modern day Brady bunch remake, starring~HIM!
He looks so distinguished & stylish.
I wish i could meet you in the street of Milano, in march ...
Please let this mean 'polo' necks are back for men, love it.
Una elegancia clasica e indemodable!

very italian style...so cool!!!!
The cigar and the scarf: the magic always lies in the details.
Lovin' the Ray Bans as well.
Well done, Sart.
Ray Bans....legend
I have this obsession with white pants and a turtleneck...it is so masculine on a completely other level.
(not to mention the cigar...)
The ultimate meaning of "Man"...

about grace..do you remenber Conte Nuvoletti?
Good call on the Mike Brady! It made me laugh. He has great style and I think he knows it. I love the blue on top. xo

I'd watch!
Excellent!!
Handsome indeed. If he played Mike, then who would've played Carol?

Scott this outfit is AWESOME! Definetly something that could have been worn around 1966-1972. Keep up the great posts as always.
Retro Vintage Mod Style
It is nearly impossible to fail with navy and white (and excellent fit of course). Also, the light is incredible light as usual.
He looks really chic, I like it.

just one word,, WOW,, so chic!!
Uh, that man. He is really carrying him self with grace.
Thanks for sharing always beautiful pictures.
This man looks ah-mazing

sometimes a cigar is so much more than just a cigar ..
If Mike Brady looked like him, the show would still be on!

Super Chic!!!!!

Very elegant! Is that jacket made of velvet? I like the texture and the way the light brings out shadings in it. Nice change from the usual suiting fabric.
Woo-oow! Took my breath away! So arrogant and yet so attractive!
so chic, love the white pants!
Great!
This look is flawless. I don't smoke but my goodness it makes for a nice accessory in this photo. To the gentleman in the double breasted coat, well done!
I always love looking at these fabulous portraits and fashion shots. What I completely love about your blog is that every image stands out on it's own as a picture, as well as capturing the style of the individual.
I have no suggestion for modern day manners books, however I always find that the 'Complete Ettiquette for Ladies and Gentlemen' is brilliant if you need to something to make you smile. It really makes you realise how times have changed.

really seventies!!

I wish I saw more stylish men like this! Very masculine and unfussy, yet super stylish. Sweet!
hellllllo handsome! so suave...

Ron Burgundy!
Stylish!
Can anyone help me get the Ray-ban model number he is wearing?
Thanks in advance :)
Love the tint on those glasses!
I thought it was Eric Bana for a second. Anyway, good look, but only a guy that handsome could pull it off.
Looks like a good version of Eric Bana
So David Hemmings in Blow-up and Mods !
Rusalka
yes, very cool!
I like this very much. He looks so relaxed whithout seeming bored, like he is no hurry for anything but aware of his surroundings. He's got good posture, too. The glasses are perfect on him, they don't dominate the face. You know how some people hide behind sun glasses? He doesn't. But don't say the Brady Bunch would've been cooler if this man played Mike Brady. Say rather it would've been cooler if Robert Reed had been dressed this way (I think Mr. Reed would've pulled off this outfit, or Mr. Barbera's outfit down below, really well). But yes, do cast this gentleman in a remake or another show as the (very stylish) dad.
Matching pocket square = perfection
I don't think this style is that dated. He looks cool, no matter what the decade. (Minimal is the key word here.)
Anyone would have been cooler playing Mike Brady! But I love this guy. And love your blog.
Susan
Looks like Eric Bana.
Great Aviators ! Must get myself a pair !
Very cool !

I FIND WHAT YOU SAID VERY BEAUTIFUL !
LOVE LOVE LOVE ....FOR EVERYONE...FOREVEV !
AS FOR THE MAN ...THE DESIGNER SAYS :
" Yes...KEEP THE WHITE THING IN YOUR POCKET, but change yours trousers against one from the same colour, from the material of your jacket ! "
Kiss !
On my blog ? : ONE ( home made ) FASHION DRAWING A DAY !
=============================================================
he is the coolest guy to wear that white and navy blue. the rayban completed everything....i loike
Hubba hubba! This look is timeless!
This has always been such a great look, it is cool but still approachable. Sadly, men's looks from the seventies are very rarely seen these days, it was such a great period for fashion (if you sort out the good stuff).
if he was, i would have actually watched the show! HOTT
Oh, I don't know if anything could have saved the Brady Bunch, but yes, he is cool - What is it with white trousers? They're often so wrong, but some men (the cool ones?) can pull them off.
The epitome of cool.
Had this been Mike Brady, I'm sure Jan would have developed an un-natural crush...
Very Eric Bana in "Munich".
absolutely move over Mike Brady.
the side burns definitely adds in the retro look of it. Great catch!
having just watched LOST, he reminds me a lot of desmond
White trousers, eh? Bold!
Eric Bana most definitely. I love the speck of white on the jacket, such a lovely contrast. Sideburns, extra hot.
Now imagine a completely Italian version of the Brady Bunch, just think how chic Carol would have been!
great look! but i'd prefer different sunnies but still looks like a perfect dandy
Rusalka -
Spot on with the David Hennings look in Blow Up. His white denim and rolled up blue shirt was killer. I think white looks fantastic post summer. Of course if it's worn the right way like this.
Cheers,
Joe

I just adore the 70s-comeback this spring, both among men and female fashion. Gone with the tuf 80s, in with the romance!
Your words made my entire day and it is only 9:48 MST...Yes, yes, and yes...an Italiano playing Mike Brady would have been so fantastic and would definitely have aided in my young life as to where I wanted to study abroad when needing to decide...Milan, city and land of beauty. Gorgeous photo.
ahhhhhhhhhhh those winter white pants!!! Just perfect!
What can I say about this gorgeous man? He's got the look for starters. I will use the word timeless again, he is timeless. His clothing, his hair, his attitude, the cigar (which reminds me of my husband) are all timeless. I like the little peak of white tucked into his pocket, classy! The last time my husband and I were in NYC he lit up a cigar on the street after we finished a lovely late lunch. People were complaining and chasing us down the streets like we were outlaws. The best part of the experience? My husband refused to put out his cigar, even in the face of an angry mob!
Fox and His Friends!
Awww come on, Sart! Whats not to love about hunky Robert Reed!?!?!?
The gentleman knows what he's doing. Respect.
Pietro
Great. Eric Bana impersonator
he looks like eric bana to me. gorgeous.
Elegantissimo in tutto...anche nella scelta del sigaro Toscano!
Kind of cool like that guy from "The Kid Stays in the Picture"
Love the cigar...
David

Is it me or does this guy look a bit like Eric Banna?
bahahahaha! Yes! It would have been totally different!
He has an uncanny resemblance to Eric Bana! Like he did when he was in the movie Munich.
That is fabulous! A delightful snapshot of pure GQ.
The Italians just ooze style and sophistication.
Wondering what shoes this gent was wearing when this was taken. Any guesses?
beyond wonderful
Looks like a villain in a Bond flick. Dig it.
