Anonymous The Photodiarist said ... (2:11 PM) :

I love the use of black and white in this shot.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:11 PM) :

is his coat floral patterned? i hope so. love the shoes and the mixed patterns!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:12 PM) :

tres cool!

Anonymous Glinda said ... (2:12 PM) :

i love this. it's like hip-hop but with real style. is that floral on the jacket? genius

Blogger Molly said ... (2:16 PM) :

LOVE everything about this photograph!!!

Blogger Ashley Reese said ... (2:17 PM) :

I love the attitude he is exuding in this photo

Blogger LYNN and HORST said ... (2:17 PM) :

more of it please

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:17 PM) :

I'm feeling the mix of patterns and textures (i.e., from shoe laces to flannel to the cushion of the jacket). Awesome.

Blogger Brian Cliff Olguin said ... (2:20 PM) :

Interesting seeing some b&w. the boy is very Paris. cool shoes

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:23 PM) :

Black & white brings out the richness of the night & makes him more a part of it.

Anonymous Helen said ... (2:26 PM) :

Black & white brings out the richness of the night and makes him seem more a part of it.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:30 PM) :

I would love to see that jacket (picture as well) in color!

Blogger La chica said ... (2:31 PM) :

Cool guy!

Anonymous Sebastian said ... (2:34 PM) :

objectively, i love the coat and shoes. but i think he ruins the outfit with those ridiculous pants...what is sartorial about them?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:37 PM) :

I am not liking this at all. Sorry

Blogger Beware Milton said ... (2:44 PM) :

I am not a fan of this one.

Blogger Rachel said ... (2:44 PM) :

It's like Punk meets my linen closet. Good Show :)

Blogger Inge Roar said ... (2:44 PM) :

Cool night shot!

Anonymous h said ... (2:46 PM) :

finally some style instead of fashion

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:47 PM) :

I love that mix with pattern (and i guess they come of better in black and white, but curious of the colors). His attitude to top the patternmix makes the picture even more fantastic!

Anonymous Sarah said ... (2:50 PM) :

i love the black and white! great shot.

Anonymous Christopher said ... (2:52 PM) :

Interesting, you rarely take shots at night.

Blogger Unknown said ... (2:53 PM) :

Love the contrast of textures and pattern, you almost forget he is surrounded by concrete. The shape of the midsection articulated by the unbuttoned bottom of the shirt and slightly drop crotch denim is great. Nice proportion all around!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:56 PM) :

Dig those shoes!

again with the shoes and the pants...must be a guy thing? Looks great!

Anonymous style maven said ... (3:00 PM) :

This is a nice photo-yes. But am I the only one who is having trouble appreciating the proportions of this outfit? Torso looks so-o-o-o lo-o-ng, and legs so teensy wee. I suppose this is a kind of riff on hip hop, but it's not working for me.

Blogger Anita Puksic said ... (3:05 PM) :

With one word: COOL.

Peace and love!

Blogger FASHION SNAG said ... (3:11 PM) :

Oh wow, I adore the floral coat and sneakers. Very street style and a welcome change! xo

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:11 PM) :

Finally, style with a sense of reality. Urban, relevant, crazy. Whoever you are - I love you.

Blogger Lemon for breakfast said ... (3:13 PM) :

How beautiful is Paris!!! :)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:21 PM) :

fantastic use of black and white- really captures the emotion of this shot. i am in paris too with my camera too and hope to bump into you!

Blogger Silvija said ... (3:27 PM) :

Hey, this shot is very nice, I'm in love with the boots.
But where are the girls gone? :o

Blogger MagsDee said ... (3:27 PM) :

I love that this picture was taken in black and white as it draws your eye directly to the floral pring. Which leads me to my next comment: a guy is wearing floral print! J'adore.

Blogger Soren Lorensen said ... (3:30 PM) :

this is fllyyyyyy

though I wish boymen would wear their trousers higher (like a drop crotch pair of jeans could get a similar look without wearing trousers so low that there is a risk of the legs looking comical, perhaps?)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:32 PM) :

All I see is a Parisien Eminem?
sorry

Blogger John B Pritchett said ... (3:52 PM) :

Not a fan of the whole urban look and attitude. But love the quality of the black and white photo!
johnbenjaminpritchett.blogspot.com

Blogger Chia said ... (3:52 PM) :

Really great great picture! i love the light and the shades in it!
Curious subject, nice shoes!!!

Blogger Magdalena said ... (4:04 PM) :

i love that you posted (or even took) a more urban hipster look... or whatever one would call this. it's different that your usual, to say the least. makes me appreciate your eye for steez (style and ease).

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:04 PM) :

This picture evokes that foreign movie "La Haine" with a buzz-cut Vincent Cassell--classic eighties punk-rap chic with a French twist. Rugged devil-may-care attitude. Nice shot!

Blogger The Shitty Astrologer said ... (4:06 PM) :

Not a fan of those shoes, or the pants, but I guess this is the look he was aiming for. Excellent photography btw...

Blogger Sarah Grace said ... (4:17 PM) :

I love the picture and his jacket. His pants are very interesting also.

http://thebuzzonfashion.blogspot.com

Blogger Lisa Petrarca said ... (4:28 PM) :

Great picture-this looks like it could've been taken here in Orange County, Ca (same style here).

Love how you captured the typical teenage expression, "Alright, take my picture already."

Blogger CW said ... (4:37 PM) :

You can see almost the same look at most USA college campuses. After a while, it isn't eye-catching.

Anonymous stefan said ... (4:48 PM) :

nice b&w shot !
here in Paris, we call that kind of jacket " housse de couette"
xoxo

Blogger Unknown said ... (4:52 PM) :

Great tonal quality!!!!!!!

Blogger MEO said ... (4:56 PM) :

black and white photos ... very nice! interesting outfit

Blogger Katie said ... (4:59 PM) :

This is interesting because because it is different. At first look it's normal "youth" wear, which in itself is interesting enough to see on the sartorialist. Then you see the floral pattern and the shoes and it all adds up a really cool picture.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:59 PM) :

Wow, urban casual men's jacket in foral? interesting. It caught my attention. I like it.

Anonymous cochino_cheap and chic said ... (5:02 PM) :

I love his style! and the jacket it's perfect!

Blogger Sophisticated Misfit said ... (5:04 PM) :

hip-hop for the well-to-do Parisian? no thanks.

Blogger Prutha Raithatha said ... (5:12 PM) :

Blogger Hayley said ... (5:13 PM) :

love.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:21 PM) :

Looks like a gang banger frenchified. Horrible

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:22 PM) :

The quality of the picture and the photograph itself is beautiful but I am not big on the style. I feel I see this "look" everyday on the Vancouver streets, but thats just my opinion.

Blogger ML said ... (5:29 PM) :

Loving the total contrast between the badass rapper-street-boy silhouette and the floral print. Haha, this made me smile.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:42 PM) :

Love the shot. Paris has a great style for Hip Hop, but not really liking the floral on the jacket. It's too conflicting.

Blogger sadaznangel said ... (5:56 PM) :

the black and white brings out his style

Blogger PunkiMeowMeow said ... (6:12 PM) :

I agree with ML. He certainly has the 'attitude' to pull of this look. Cool dude!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:14 PM) :

Il est beau et j'aime son style.

Blogger morgan said ... (6:17 PM) :

Love that you're posting some true cool street style ... MORE OF THIS! It's why we fell in love in the first place.

That floral coat is immense. I almost feel like it's been turned inside out and he's wearing it lining side out. So great.

As for the calls for more womens shots, meh! I prefer mens fashion and your take on it anyway.

Blogger All Things Considered said ... (6:20 PM) :

I love the pants!

Blogger Alanna said ... (6:32 PM) :

loving how street this is with juxtaposition of masculine/feminine in such an overt way. Florals, workman boots, plaid? delicous.

Anyone know what denim he is wearing? really dig it.

Anonymous Em said ... (6:32 PM) :

Amazing shot. Straight from 1984 kinda...

Blogger Lemon for breakfast said ... (6:34 PM) :

a lot of men lately!! like it! :) haha

Blogger Brian said ... (6:49 PM) :

It's difficult to look cool or tough wearing a quilted jacket made from my grandmother's curtains...

Anonymous Wildbluesun said ... (6:52 PM) :

On a different note, I love the style of this picture. It looks like one of the really early night photography pictures.

Anonymous Mister B said ... (6:58 PM) :

Great play with pattern and proportion. Overall appears effortless, exuding masculinity and confidence. Can not get over how much adoration I have for those boots, and appreciate that the photo is in B&W.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:10 PM) :

the boots are opening ceremony x timberland for those interested. i think they might even be on sale now.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:24 PM) :

rapper street boy? lol wtf

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:51 PM) :

So cool and sexy. Love it when a guy is confident enough to take risks like this. And what a hot guy he is!

Anonymous Nancy said ... (8:00 PM) :

The jacket is insane! He emits a strong masculinity while wrapped in a floral pattern. Seemingly easy and unpretentious, and a bit tongue in cheek. Love it!

Blogger Amir Omar said ... (8:23 PM) :

Effortless

Blogger Tanya said ... (8:59 PM) :

that is a beautiful photo

Anonymous Molly said ... (9:41 PM) :

I love how he creatively blends his floral overcoat with his plaid button-up underneath. It seems like a complete misfit, but with his confidence, he can definitely pull it off!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:16 PM) :

A skin head who wears florals?
I'm confused.

Blogger Pearl said ... (10:22 PM) :

I would give a lot for a floral winter jacket...

Blogger Deborah said ... (10:43 PM) :

I dig his floral patterned jacket. He pulls it off nicely too.

Blogger Unknown said ... (11:26 PM) :

Around the bend we go. Love him, youth at its best. I love to see a young person, male or female, "getting their look on". What fun! He is very serious. Great photograph.

Blogger Unknown said ... (11:59 PM) :

my-oh-my he has very large feet
i love the floral over the plaid

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:02 AM) :

Great shot! What details! Would be a completely different outfit without the jacket--love how a single item can change an entire look.

Blogger Diane said ... (3:29 AM) :

U, a fresh face and stile, I like that!

kiss

Blogger Gretchun said ... (6:12 AM) :

I love this boy! everything about him is fabulous, and sexy

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:44 AM) :

OMG! The hilarious disproportion of the body caused by those brilliantly ridiculous pants and the voluminous jacket--i maintain it's body art!

Blogger Hek said ... (6:49 AM) :

Nice!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:43 AM) :

Its Max, he always looks good!

Blogger Composite Art & Design said ... (7:58 AM) :

Interesting layering: checks with florals. Like the hi-cut shoes!

Blogger Barbara said ... (8:46 AM) :

Photo ravissante en noir et blanc, mais le garcon lui-meme n'a rien d'extraordinaire. Cool, neanmoins....

Anonymous Diesel Men's Clothing said ... (8:50 AM) :

Blogger Unknown said ... (10:16 AM) :

The more I look at this photograph, the more I love it.
Great contrast between light and dark and the various patterns in the pieces this young man has put together to make his outfit so incredible. I love his semi-tough posturing, but still there is a sweetness and vulnerability that belongs only to youth.

Blogger norawoah said ... (11:08 AM) :

j'adore cette photo!

Blogger KthrynKrr said ... (11:19 AM) :

Its crazy those boots are the Opening Ceremony X Timberlands, I checked them out of the website and they dont NEARLY look as interesting. Thats a sign of true style, being able to wear an item and perfectly bringing out its potential (even more than the ads do!!!) Love this pic!

Blogger TheHypeAround... said ... (11:46 AM) :

Love to see this young guys getting their fashionista on!

Blogger Unknown said ... (12:00 PM) :
