Blogger Editor said ... (9:50 AM) :

Hmmmm, I like the plaid and the man shawl, but maybe a different hat? He looks rather "Swiss Fmily Robinson"

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:51 AM) :

beautiful smile, so genuine. Love his eyes. His man shawl is very chic.

Blogger Rolita said ... (9:52 AM) :

I love the expression on the man's face!!! Looooove it!

And the jacket, love it too!

Anonymous le lapin amoureux said ... (9:57 AM) :

his face radiates such warmness... far warmer than the shawl

Blogger Unknown said ... (9:59 AM) :

Oh, that's fab. And also the Lord of the Rings type hat. Nice!

Blogger Soren Lorensen said ... (10:08 AM) :

a quiet graceful confidence

the colours perfectly combined

Blogger Not Required said ... (10:09 AM) :

When you have a great salt and pepper beard, you can happily wear a man shawl and still look masculine.

Blogger Anne-Marie @ 10 Rooms said ... (10:11 AM) :

I would like to hear this Mans story.

Blogger Barbara said ... (10:12 AM) :

What a gorgeous man. Beautiful smile and the colours just light him up. He pulls the whole thing off perfectly - I can't think of many men who'd look this good with a shawl. Great photograph!

I really like the expression on his face and the coloring all around- great shot Scott!

He is so handsome! I'm sure he could wear a potato sack and look good but this look is fabulous. He looks like someone you want to cuddle up with and stay warm! :)

This is a man truly comfortable in his own skin, and thus, a magnificent specimen of manliness.

Anonymous Carole said ... (10:40 AM) :

love it. but obviously the man has found his style. not everybody could wear the combo hat-shawl-plaid jacket.

Anonymous Alice said ... (10:40 AM) :

Great hat! I have a similar blazer, only in green!

It is my statement "boyfriend" blazer:)

Anonymous Miss Therry said ... (10:41 AM) :

Gorgeous jacket! I'm practically green with envy.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:44 AM) :

such a genuine face - wonderful to see it captured in an image!

Blogger beths said ... (10:49 AM) :

Only thing I like about the hat is his face beaming out from under it. And that's definitely worth a photo for a Monday--good vibes for the week. Love the jacket, but not the man-shawl.

Blogger FASHION SNAG said ... (10:50 AM) :

He looks like such a great person with a genuine smile. You could definitely trust him. I love the way he has his shawl around him and how it matches with the beautiful colors in his coat. xo

Blogger Unknown said ... (11:14 AM) :

This is one of my favourite shots - maybe my favourite. I'll bet he's some kid's nonno, and he delights in being a terrific grandfather. His face is perfectly weathered. I would love to know what shoes he's wearing!

Blogger laura la` rose said ... (11:15 AM) :

This man seems to have such a happy spirit! And he's really handsome too. Agree with that one.
I also love the shawl he's wearing and the wonderful combination of colors. It gives you a warm feeling.

Perfect smile!

Blogger homegirl said ... (11:25 AM) :

Hey, I'd date him.

Blogger Sassy Sue said ... (11:26 AM) :

i think he should be my new boyfriend, but alas, i'm in los angeles

Blogger Jorge from W Palm Beach said ... (11:28 AM) :

Word of caution: While I love the look, this gentleman is obviously in the rag trade at some point, which is evident by the brilliant color match between his jacket and the scarf/shawl. The cut of the jacket is superb, and so is the hat. I doubt there are many of us that are so fastidious or knowledgeable about our clothes, that might be able to pull this off. I love it on him! Jorge from WPB

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:31 AM) :

oooh la la. love his happy, flappy style! he's beautiful!

Anonymous O Ray said ... (11:33 AM) :

How wonderful. I have only seen one other gentleman mastering the man shawl; Jeremy Brett as Sherlock Holmes.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:33 AM) :

must be cold. great style is the optimal matching of form & function. like this. and the coats on some of the older women you've recently photographed. mature enough not to suffer the cold for fashion, but carrying the look (big coat, puffy jacket) with grace and elan.

Blogger Fashionstyle said ... (11:39 AM) :

Such beautiful color !!

Blogger John B Pritchett said ... (11:39 AM) :

Love the focus on hats-much like the shot from Barcelona a few days back! Always looking for a great jacket and this is it!

Blogger Miss Nutmeg said ... (11:39 AM) :

this is so nice, men in India wear shawls a lot, so this kind of reminds me of my grandpa :)

Blogger Brightlightwarriornika said ... (11:50 AM) :

i want to snuggle with him!

Anonymous stpehaniepress said ... (11:52 AM) :

Not into the accessories, but he is handsome. What an expression and a connection there - great photo!

Blogger ben614 said ... (11:54 AM) :

what makes Rabensteiner such an amazing dresser is how he always manages to wear his remarkable ensembles with such lightness. Dressing up often stiffens a person, but as his clothes are truly an extension of his personality, they flow from the same relaxed, confident place. A total inspiration.

Blogger Unknown said ... (11:57 AM) :

the shawl doesn't seem half as bold to me as the hat does because it works so naturally with the jacket. the hat is out there but i really like it, the smile really brings the whole look together. it's hard not to like someone with a genuine smile.

Perfect... the hat, the beard, the shawl! He looks like an author!

DOES ANYONE KNEW WHERE TO FIND HIS FELT FISHERMAN HAT, like the one's shown in Burberry's Sp 09 Collection. They never sold them!!

Anonymous smile said ... (12:30 PM) :

So very masculine, so super sexy!!! To me this man is a great erotic turn on. He is so comfortably self-assured and so comfortably unconventional that I can only dream about what would happen when wrapped up in warm blanket on a cold February night with this man. Thank you, excellent portraiture!!!!

I´m in love with this eyes . Who is this man ? I like him . Where does he live ? How is his name ? I really like him . I really like his smile . Who is this man ?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:43 PM) :

It's not the clothes - it's the smile

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:50 PM) :

What I like is how the orange/pink colour of the jacket matches the warm colour in his face.

But when I saw the picture..."He's definitely workin' it!!

I don't like the hat though.

Anonymous SarahO said ... (2:10 PM) :

I've seen a hat like this before and I'm willing to be that it was once a very expensive hat - an old boyfriend of mine did that to a beautiful fedora - took the band off and hobo-ed it - much to my father's dismay (he had given it to him!)

Blogger Eternal Worrier said ... (2:40 PM) :

you hear me, men?!

don't brawl! wear a shawl!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:04 PM) :

Blogger Klever Girl said ... (3:14 PM) :

Blogger Unknown said ... (3:50 PM) :

Lovely look but nothing new, in Pakistan, especially in the cold months all men of "a certain age" wrap up in shawls over their clothes to keep out the cold. Nice to see this trend, and turbans for ladies making it Westwards though! x

Blogger Beth said ... (3:55 PM) :

this man is adorable

Blogger Hayley said ... (4:09 PM) :

that jacket...<3

Blogger CW said ... (4:13 PM) :

The hat may be beyond re-blocking. It makes him look homeless, even though the jacket says otherwise.

Anonymous Miss Jane said ... (4:22 PM) :

Mr Sart. Nice to see a "manly" man with a shawl! Great hat too. But it his smile that stands out above all else. And I love the colours in his beard. xxx

Robert Rabensteiner is always nice to see, his style is great..here the matching colors. And if you are a man with a beard, you can wear a slightly feminine scarf...and look cool manly, thats it. On me i doesn't work.

Anonymous edinamonsoon said ... (6:30 PM) :

I like both looks on these shawlmen. Great colors and textures. The younger gents anchor sweater is divine. The mature gent's jacket looks fab with his fisherman's hat and beard --- very sophisticated with a seasoned sexiness.

Blogger JV said ... (8:14 PM) :

Looks like Philip K. Dick, the sci-fi writer. But yeah, good look. On him.

Blogger Unknown said ... (9:03 PM) :

I just love how this guy's entire face seems to be saying:

"Wow. You know how long I've been waiting to be approached by you, Scott?! I can't believe it's finally happening . . . and on the day that I'm wearing one of my favorite outfits too. You've made my day, buddy."

Looks like a guy who'd say "buddy."
Looks like a guy who'd make MY day!

Ohh I simply love this! What a charming fellow. I'd like to sit down and hear his story - he seems to know tales of enchantment and intrigue! His hat is also my favorite. It adds so much character and without it the outfit would just add to the daily humdrum.

Blogger Sophisticated Misfit said ... (6:48 AM) :

I would love to see the rest of the blazer. Judging by its cut at the front, it is inspired by the jackets men used to wear in the 1920s in a similar vein as the narrower trouser leg and ankle-height hem.

This man is absolutely very handsome, and has the smile, which can't be missed (oh, such a smile can melt a heart in a second :)... anyway He likes scarfs but most of all he loves head-dressing.

Oh, I just adore his effortles, very Italian alike attitude: "I am cool as a cat" :))
I could propose to him just like that :)

If he were my husband I would entreat him to get rid of that awful old hat, that beard, and that shawl! Underneath I can just about make out a gorgeous handsome man.

Beautiful jacket.

Blogger Unknown said ... (9:33 AM) :

Are you kidding? This is my statement for the month.
Are you kidding? He is fabulous, I'd follow him anywhere. The hat is what makes his outfit. How bold of him to wear such a great hat. And this shawl thing, love it. Love it!
