Wonderful!!!!I like the second one
Absolutely LOVE her skirt!!!!
so fun!!! i love this look. its so nice to see people play with colors.
Dangerous...and lovely walking...
It's amazing how the colors in your subjects always blend so well with their surroundings... the color in the second woman's jacket is perfect with the yellow cab in the background. How do you do it?!
Pendleton?
so cool!
I wish I dared color like that

WITH A QUIRKE!
Brilliant... Love the second pic!
love the color in the second picture!
I love both of these. (especially the 1st one since that's more like what I'd wear myself). :) I love colorful outfits!
The first one is lovely, I love the lapels on the hood and the cute skirt.

Pendelton! Love it!
I really like the capture on the second photo, mid-stride and completely natural.

I love vivid colours and outfits that centre on one or two colourful pieces.
they look really cool
the first one is great!
So effortlessly cool.
i like the shoes!
They are both amazing!!! The 1st picture reminds me of Taylor Momsen. The boots on the second picture is more than impressive. Fab!

Love the shorts on the first one...but is she painfully thin or is it just me?
These images are amazing. I especially love the colorful skirt peering out from the black coat. Love it!

Adore those Lindsey Thornburg cloaks. This post is an instant favourite.
Wonderful colours, it makes the clothes be special.
Love

The second one- a trade blanket coat! Never seen before.
Is that Julia Frakes pictured first, she usually knows how to stay genuine to herself. The second is a bit boring but the coat itself looks warm and comfortable.

Such a beautiful cape! If you get a spare second check out my blog; www.dazedyoungmess.blogspot.com
I could kill for the second one. The whole outfit looks great, but i LOVE the jacket. It`s perfect!
wowww i would love to be able to coordinate colours so perfectly

...from street style to couture & everything in between

i think that second one looks like a lindsey thornburg cloak.
i thought that first girl had some amazing hooded coat...then i realized it was pulled up over her head. either way, inspiration.
Those are both fantastic, and well paired.
love the first pics & i would die for those cloggggs!!

The Pendleton blanket!! Great stuff. I have the second one.
My mom is leaving the world of corporate culture to return to her first love: bespoke tailoring. Her focus: pendleton coats, custom made.
There is no web-site yet, but soon come. Information forthwith.
I love the skirt in the first pic.
Have always liked Southwestern or Navajo inspired clothing. It's all about color, warmth and coziness.
There's something happening lately in your blog, I don't know, there's something more spicy, more exciting than before. I love all of thoses pictures you posted today and lately. There's something about the color maybe. I love to see all those well worn colors on the people you present. And I love the styles on the 6 last photos. Great cycle.
I prefer the second one either!
The second, definitely more elegant than the first however hipsters and young suburbanites, the same crowd that partly ruined Burberrys by adopting their lines, have forever ruined whatever appreciation I once had for hooded garments. The hood is a classic example of how the wrong crowd can ruin a classic.

i love when people wear colors in the winter.
LOVE!!! Great colors and prints...
love those colors looks a bit mexican!!

the second is so bright and unique!
I Love it!! Finally some print, it's been a while!

Yea, Pendleton (second picture)! NYer transplanted to Oregon here. I love their colors.
Very cool .
Amazing graphics, I like also these colors.
Great style, I like the
détails and textures of these clothes.
Nice shot.
I feel like Native American prints and fabrics are starting appear more. Yesterdays Rodarte show featured washed out and western prints, also there was a Marc by Marc jacket that had the horizontal color stripes that we so often see in Native American textiles.

That skirt and those green tights are to die for. And I love the second woman's patterns as well.
Love both these looks. I'm glad to see New York City women embracing color! We don't just wear black!

love, love, love the skirt! cheers to bright colors in this dreary, sleepy weather!

LOVE the first one. Great print and skirts with pockets are always the best. The tights, the bag - perfect!
Wonderful photos, they make me smile :-)
Love the second print, inspiring me as usual...

Oh, that old Pendleton pattern makes me miss my old Northern Arizona home... <3
Julia Frakes and The Sart... Two of my favorite bloggers in the same place! Keep it up you two!
Colours finally!!! Enough with black and grey! :)
Awesome photos and exactly what the streets of New York need these days - COLOR!
I really love how the vibrant colors paired with muted colors.
I love her green tights!
They remind me of peter pan.
www.coquettishfacade.blogspot.com
I am in love with the coat in the second picture (I agree with Maddie B. about Native American textiles as well.) I love the pattern, but for me its the color combination ... one of my faves.
StyleSaveur.blogspot.com
wow, love the colors!
I love it. The first photo is wonderful. Her expression is priceless and I love the skirt with the green tights. Its so chic and kind of has that Mexican flare to it. The second look is also gorgeous. The coat is beautiful, and I love the colors and design on it. She is a very fashionable woman for sure.

How fabulously original. Totally love the boots and the bag!!
Can anyone identify the bag in the second photo?
Can anyone identify this bag in the second photo?

You had a small hick-up with that ridiculous guy in the buffalo check Filson Jacket but now, you're officially back on track.
Amazing mix of pattern, color, and textures.
I love the creative layering winter look.
Also, I'm sort of obsessed with Emerald Green.
the second photo is amazing.
LINDSEY THORNBURG CLOAKS!!!
one of my favorite collections!
I love these colours. Its so nice to finally have a bit of colour brightening the world, especially as the winter still has its firm grip on London.
I remember seeing that girl with her bedazzled Coach bag in the lobby of the tents.
Is that a vintage Coach bag in the 2nd picture that's been studded up? If so, I'm impressed.
http://bucklebuttonzip.wordpress.com
while i tend to always love your photo-taking skills, these are some of my absolute favorite "ever day winter shifting into spring" outfits. especially the first one. i wore teal tights today, and i know its a little weird...but seeing her green ones give me more confidence!
I'm really loving the layers and layers of textures and pattern. Colors are lovely.
ahhhh this IS so fantastic
http://www.improperopera.com/
I really love Julia Frakes' tougher look this season.
lovin' all the navajo prints i'm seeing these days. great pics as always!

Oh, Pendleton, how we Oregonians love thee. Glad to see so much love for the brand in the comments!
sorry, no. Bad Elle Magazine Weekend from 1990.
This is why I want a chambray shirt stat!
i like it how she divides the photo so on one side there is specks of colour and its dull on the other side of the photo where she's headed. It looks like she is lighting up the streets of new york with style every step she takes!
www.stylepalace.com.au
Yes! Bright colors! The poncho and boots with tights are great! The top photo is adorable with matching purse and tights!
johnbenjaminpritchett.blogspot.com
The girl in the first picture looks like Taylor Momsen (Jenny Humpfrey in Gossip Girl). I adore her outfit. Very playful but mysterious. I like her walk and smile too. You captured her at the perfect moment.
stunning prints

Love, love, love that hooded poncho, and everything else about her look. The tights, boots, bag, newspaper... Thank you for the great pics. I enjoy your site, even though I am in abject need of living out my internal style. :-)
Externally style challenged,
Moi
The second image looks like a Lindsey Thornburg cloak. She has an interesting interview on asdf from a while back...
http://asdffashion.blogspot.com/2009/09/asdf-interviews-lindsey-thornburg.html
i loveee the second one. pendleton.x.opening ceremony right?
such wonderful colors. LOVE it.
Ooooh they offer great inspiration!
ah, color to brighten those cold, dull winter days.
ciao, black, white, and grays.
The girl in the first photo is my hero. Have confidence and guts to pull off Green tights without look like an elf. Very awesome.
is anyone noticing the lapels on the coat in the first photo?? very cool.
I'm diggin the coat in the 1st pic - the lapel going up to the hood? I'd never have thought about that but it's fantastic!
Wow, these are awesome. I love the look and the attitude of the first girl ;)
kiss
parada
stunning prints! it's so powerful colors with dark palette. Love the second photo! Are you lucky to find all inspirational styles or just know the real location to be!
Whilst I love the skirt in the first image, the second image is so captivating. I can't help but gradually stare down from her hood on her head towards the focus of the beautiful black satchel. It creates a colourful contrast to the strong black edge in her accessories.
colors in the winter are gorgeous!
the first one is awesome!
i love her coat and the way she wears those clothes
I love the second picture! i have been lusting for this jacket/poncho for sooo long. beautiful blog :)
http://venomvenin.blogspot.com/
What a great coat!
Green stockings! wow!

I love the skirt in the first and the boots in the second photo
I love the mix of colours on the skirt in the first pic. Wonderfully styled.
The Heartbreak

www.abitoffashion.com
Wow! She is looking so beautiful in the 1st pic. I really like her style. Specially the over coat is looking awesome.
I love it! :)
http://dhonpal.blogspot.com
I like both, but first "graphic chic" better. Together with pleasant outfit goes the pose / THE Personality... this lady reminds me somehow Gwen Stefani the way she smiles: mocky & saucy :)
Oh my, why can't I look like this?? It looks lovely on everybody but when I try... Let's just say that it's not the same... :(
love the skirt...i neeed it now!!
and love the purse in the second pic... and the print ... need color!!
http://donotshoeme.blogspot.com/
love the grin on the blonde...
Graphics aside (despite loving them!) the clothing shapes/Silhouettes on these 2 ladies are WONDERFUL!!
Love that! specially right now ny is so grey...
i love the foody-jacket on the first picture. so cool!
must have been great snapping both these style in 1 day! the both are so well put together. im in love..
i'm a texan so i usually hate the western wear (even though this is a different kind of western) but I LOVE IT in the urban setting!
Love the 2nd shot and coat.
we love sarah kuhn! she's always be our katie girl! xxoo
http://thekatiegirls.blogspot.com/2009/03/can-we-hang-out-with-you-sarah-kuhn.html
I found a "terrible" pair of pleated, plaid uniform shorts at a thrift store last week. I love the "excentric" look, sort of like that first photo.
Also, I love the combo of the geometric, almost native-style poncho with the Doc Martens. Chic + classic punk!
www.lindseythornburg.com for the cloack!
Once again, I feel like we are going back in time a bit but with the feeling of today mixed right in. I love how certain designs, even though they could be considered over the edge or pushed into a time niche, can become timeless. I feel Ralph Lauren has a lot to do with the Americana feel of both of these outfits. Especially the blond. Color is wonderful in the dead of winter, absolutely essential as far as I'm concerned. We all need a little bit of something to brighten our spirits when the weather is bad. Shine on!
The first girl is just so adorable. I fucking love blue oxford shirts.
Can anyone identify the skirt?
Love the 1st picture, the skirt with the denim shirt, shouldn't work but it does! Great picture
does anyone know who made the boots in the 2nd pic? been looking for a pair but no luck..
I would love to see the first outfit be translated into decorating a room...love the green bag!
That coat on the top is the coolest thing I've ever seen.
Both very cool. I love the lapels on the hood and how the shirt meshes with the colorful skirt.
And that smug smirk, which would normal piss me off, makes the outfit even more edgy.
Great character.
LOVE her poncho & her satchel!!! Pendleton for Opening Ceremony? <3
Love the first!
Love the little "dr's bag" with that fantastic hooded (jacket? shawl? what is that? lol), and the boots. Love it!
www.vivaswag.com
Great use of color and proportion in the top photo.
her graphic jacket is brilliant!
brave
Great coat, nice colours and pic background!
I like her coat !!
The second jacket it amazing!
When I saw that poncho in the second picture, the first thing that I said was Wow. I really like it. The boots, not so much.
An edgy yet sleek look; I very much adore your pictures. (avid reader!)
I love the colours in the top skirt. Such a good mix
does anyone have any more information on that first jacket? wow.
Love these look, especially the poncho. Seeing some color in wintertime makes me smile!
Love these outfits!
The tights really make the first outfit, makes it so much more interesting. I'd argue they're the part that makes the skirt so interesting.
love this one...absolutely non chalant
love the skirt and green tights/leggings in the first pic. like a flower!
The first one!Unbelievable!!!!!!
Have a lovely day,

www.talkprettytome.blogspot.com
the first coat is prada with what looks like a chanel "paris-moscou" pin on the pocket over a phillip lim vest and a blue chambray alexander wang collared shirt (you can tell because the sleeves are grey). not sure about the skirt but the bag looks like lanvin. also that necklace looks like the arrowhead by pamela love.
I like the details on the first photo. I love the badge put on the pocket of her coat and the shape of her coat is fantastic. Very inspiring from head to toes.
Please, does any one know where that coat in the 1st photo is from?!
That bag in the second photo is a custom studded vintage bag and can be ordered at onfentonmyles@gmail.com! A smaller selection is also available at the Reformation boutique on 143 Ludlow in NYC.
