Mr Sart. I remember when I was backpacking around Europe in 1987 (sheesh I'm an oldie) and arriving in Italy and feeling soooo shabby cos EVERYONE is gorgeous and so well put together. Just like these three. Love the jacket with the gold buttons especially.

In descending order from left to right.. 1st guy looks really good, love the jacket (Moncler?)and the laid-back style. Second guy ok,great shoes but you know it wouldn't hurt you to smile. Or at least look like this is the last place on earth you want to be in. The mother(?) just looks like a tent. A monochrome, shapeless tent. Sorry.

Wow! I really love that double breasted jacket on the man to the left of the picture! It's definitely original and something I have never seen before! I saw them on vanity fair italy...
they look like the italian jonas brothers! but more laid back of course. also- I have to add a comment regarding the picture of kanye west you posted the other day. Love him or hate him, he matters, and he's involved in the style world. The over the top fur was perfect I thought.
style is one thing but a bit of a smile goes a long way.
This family is so Milano, so chic. I think the guy on the left and his mother are both wearing Moncler. Such a great label, very European and always adds an air of effortless chic to an outfit.

Wow! I don't generally comment on your photos but this one struck me so much that I simply had to. I suppose it's because most of your photos are utterly beautiful, but so very fantastic and removed from my life that I find it difficult to draw any inspiration from them.
This photo, on the other hand, is immediately inspiring. Not only is a brilliant example of casual Italian style (yeeeeah, Italian fashion editors in sky high heels look beautiful but they also make me despair), and I feel like I could learn something from each of them just by looking at all the little details they've added to their outfits to give them a little extra interest. From the hair to the shoes, I feel like every time I look at this photo I see new things. A definite favourite! I only wish the photo were even bigger so I could see even MORE details!

Their poses, their style, their subtle but visible individuality created in wardrobe details are wonderful. I do still think, when comparing Italy to France that French are more "bcbg" and Italians are better in "casual / everyday" elegance / paying attention to be always aesthetically perfect.

I think I saw them the same day in Milan!! How funny!! It was about two weeks ago, they all looked simple and very elegant..
EVERYONE, THAT IS THE THOM BROWNE FOR the ski wear company. I saw that jacket at Bergdorfs and it was some 4000 dollars. It looks good on him but I'm 6'3 and it was too short for me. Cool to see the american designer doing well in italy.

Everyone always said to me before I went to Italy how well dressed people were. And don't get me wrong, they were. In a classic, traditional and tasteful way. But the monotony of the outfits was disappointing. This photo reminds me of that because these folks are wearing what 90% of people wear in Italy. (Puffy jacket for the young guys...check!) After a while I yearned for more individualism. I hope you can find and catch some of that in your Italy photos, Scott.

great real mum shot. love it. i see myself here. jacket that works 'cause it's cold. scarf. no lipstick. unfussy hair. i'm still loving flares! boots! & it just looks great. downplayed, real, unfussy & chic. love the look that says, 'yes take the photo, but i've got to get moving with my day'.and that bit of determination that's brought up two lovely stylish young men.

The mom's jacket may look tentlike but with some style, no? I bet she is so warm.... Much better style than some of the acrylic fleeces I see around DC.
