Very dashing!
Beautiful! I'm never disappointed looking at a picture of Lapo.
Killer Boots.
the vibrant pink hues are amazing on him.I loved the total look.

Just one word: WOW
Mon,
http://foursistersfourstyles.blogspot.com/
I like the pink!
||
So cool!
gotta love the man lapo
WWW.MISTERMORT.COM
Gorgeous colour combinations. Loving the boots too!
This looks good. I like his use of fluorescent pink. Also, he has what looks to be a perfect color match between jacket and shirt. He looks doesn’t look disheveled in this picture.
gotta love a brave italian man
That's probably the most awesome jacket I've ever seen!
It's already spring?
Lapo's style is always very cool!
very italian as well...

Bubble gum pink and plaid?
That works.
Wow! amazing pic and very cool outfit!
Well, that's just a no for me. trying too hard.
I'm not sure about the cranberry on pink, but I like that jacket with those jeans.
Ne plus ultra chic. Love the two open buttonholes on the sleeves.
ahhh...Lapo...he's my fav!
such beautiful bold colours!
http://thestylecurator.blogspot.com/
I could never get away with this but he obviously can!
This may be the first time I have seen someone look manly wearing pink! Well done!
Wow, I love this. Bringing the pink back. I love the top half of this outfit to death. The blazer goes perfectly with the button down and tie. He rocks! xoxo

Ohhh! He seems like an interesting fellow! I'd like to meet him.
Brave enough to wear color.great boots.all fitting to the personality
Oooh I loves me some him. Lapo you slay me!
Briliant style! In every sense of the word.
the shoes have it
Not many people can wear that color! It works so well on him! And boy do I love those boots!
great outfit, pity about the hair.
very few men can wear (well) a pink shirt. he is one of them.
http://absinthrill.blogspot.com
Muito bom...
He is the master of this kind of thing!
i love the boots!
love the spring colors!
http://www.facebook.com/#/marlacielo?ref=ts
I like the look, but not so sure about the boots honestly. I don't like that color. But everything else is AWESOME.
think pink!!!!
Love his ensemble..especially since I wouldn't hesitate to "borrow" his shirt, tie and jacket to pair with my own jeans!
Shirt is a wee bit too bright.
Otherwise, it rocks. Very fashion forward
Such an odd combo the old boots with the fresh pink shirt but somehow it works quite nicely.
Great shot as always.
xo Darla
elkan!!!!
i love this differents tonalities of pinks, it gives a look plenty of vitality.
great! and plenty of joy too!
Yummy, like a bubble gum!
Come on. Scott would have not photographed him if you wasn't famous. You can see this ignorant style everywhere where young rich people dine or go out. On the other hand, the girl on Via Manzoni is gorgeous.
The entire look says a lot about this man --- and I love it. Great colors and contrasts. Also amazingly groovy boots.
I loved this look!!!!!!!!!!!!!
His bright pink shirt brings out the pink in his plaid jacket. The outfit is very well put together!
Stunning! And, his gaze renders me defenseless. ;)
OMG!!!!!!!!
I CAN'T BELIEVE LAPO WAS AROUND IN FLORENCE!I LIVE THERE AND I'VE NEVER SEEN HIM!
I think his style is something really chic and particular, and..i love him!
http://wheresthegoodgonegirl.blogspot.com/
love the fuchsia shirt! to die for.

lekisskiss.blogspot.com <-- law student bloggin fashion from NYC!
If you're going to wear engineer boots stick to the classics and wear Fry's.
Leave it to Lapo to be able to pull off this look! Effortless!
I love this but there are probably only very few places in the world where you can wear this w/o feeling out of place, with Florence being one of them.
I must say that I dislike this look, but style is personal expression, so who am I to criticize his?
Are his jeans pressed?
I don't like the shirt or boots; the blazer, raspberry tie and jeans are lovely. The wash on the jeans, especially.
I'd probably be afraid to take a picture of this guy if he was looking at me and my camera like that, though.
It's the way cool Italian boys dress!
this shot is why i love the sartorialist. lapo here is like a photographic slap to the face, "look at me!"
wow, similar stylings to oneself. Its good to be daring and experimental with colour, shades and patterns. Love the juxtaposition between the outlandish top section and the very plain jeans. All brought down to earth with some fantastic worn in boots. Love !!
Who's Lapo?
The concept of this look is great, but the peptobismol shirt is too much..
The jacket/shirt/tie combo is too matchy-matchy. He could have been braver with the colour scheme.
amazing pics!!!

It's cool that he can pull off pink.
And I really like the plaid jacket!
Let's grow up later
Someone above said he was trying too hard. I don't think so. While I think he looks like a circus barker 75% of the time (the other 25% he NAILS it), he deserves credit for his carefree attitude IMO. I bet he wakes up, slaps something on that he thinks is "fun" and then goes on his way. Not trying at all really - it just happens to work for him. Luca Rubinacci strikes me in the same way, although I like his style much better...
Bright.
cool colours...punchy
deadly boots too...
fantastic fuchsia! is spring almost here?...
Is it possible to be dandy, cool, and cowboy? He sure proves HE CAN!
Great picture! I love all the pinks.
Nice shirt!
Jacket rocks mate.
xsnappy
http://snappylifestyle.blogspot.com/
Beautiful colours.
Wow. The man's not afraid of color. That's 1 thing for sure. ; )
So fun! I love how he just went for it with the pink shirt and the raspberry tie. Most people would pair that jacket with one of the other colors in the plaid, but he chose the brightest ones!

perfection!
no-no-no
don't like it at all. I must admit I loathe Lapo Elkann, but I'm pretty sure I'd hate this look on anyone.
love the pink & especially worn together with those awesome shoes!!
Dashing. It's great to see a man so unafraid of color.
Love the jacket with the pink shirt and the tie just makes everything come together...beautiful shot :)
http://thebuzzonfashion.blogspot.com
> Lapo's style is always very cool!
very italian as well...
No, Tiffany, it's not "very Italian", at all -- we Italians usually have taste. This is just... clown-ish.
One of the best and most original outfits I've seen on this blog to date! Fantastic color combo on such a suave lookin dude.
xx
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
ACCORDING TO MY TASTE....SUPER OUTFIT .....BUT THESE SHOES WITH ? NO NO NO !!
KISS !
==========================================================
lovin the jacket and shirt!
so unique
Lapo is truly one of the most stylish men in the world... He does live up to his grand-father Gianni!
(shame he bites his nails though)
the pop of color is magnificient! i absolutely love his confidence and swag!
www.greeneggsandglam.blogspot.com
I saw a video of him showing this look during the Pitti, only thing was, it didnt show the jeans and boots.
1. Great shot Sart!
2. Lapo is Lapo, I can't see many people pulling this whole look off!
well done him!
He carries this eclectic look so well. I wonder if any part of this look (the jacket perhaps) belongs to his father . . . I've read that he inherited some wonderful pieces from his Dad that he incorporates into his look.
This gentleman was one week enclosed in his house thinking that as dressing in order that Scott was doing the photo to him.
¡congratulations, you are very elegant!
ha ha ha
... "La vie in rosa"!
wonderful the opposed sienna colour of the wall ! and the blue jeans... and the tempting stairs....! Really nice picture .
Lapo .. is a new dandy
I love Lapo. He is the "real McCoy". Impossible to emulate really, but the effortless ease is unbelievable.
A great smart casual outfit. That jacket has a great mix of colours, and he styles it perfectly with that shirt and tie!

the best picture on here as of late.
everything about this is perfect.

That shirt is smoking hot!!
Don't know if commenter Grigro is American or not, but I must say his attitude of "trying too hard" is very American and is the reason most American men have no style whatsoever.
Love it all, from pink to jeans to boots, hair and eyes :)
I like who he is able to wear pink without looking like a brat (don´t know if that is a word only existing in the Swedish language) and be so manly at the same time.
LOVE the tie and boots ! WOW
kinda reminds me of heath ledger
maybe just the hair
or maybe its just cuz i watched 10 Things I Hate About You this weekend....
Pink is a most manly colour. I would happily wear this outfit. Undoing the buttons on his sleeves is overkill. As Mr. Hackett has pointed out in the past, it is enough to know that the cuffs are not just for show, and too much to show it off.
beingmanly.blogspot.com
It's hard for me to imagine where one would find men's clothes in these colors, esp. the jacket.
Note to poster above: lots of men look good in pink. There are lots of different shades and there is one for any guy's coloring. The problem is with some men's heads, i.e, it's too feminine. Right on, Pink Men! You have confidence and aren't prejudiced.
this would have looked better with a pair of white skinny trousers and boat shoes.
I LOVE THAT BLAZER. The things I could do with that. Le sigh.
Thank you Lapo! We need more guys to pull that off!
I adore his outfit. He's got pink, purple and ruggedness.
I wonder does he think about what he is going to wear when he gets up in the morning or does he just grab what ever out to the closet????
Melissa
NEVER could an american pull this off.
te amo, bello!
Who's Lapo?
His shirt is so bright it's probably electric.
His boots would really make the look if they were polished up.
This is what style is all about. I'm a boots guy so props on the boots.
How dashing and brave! Though I would never wear these colors on myself, I am pleasantly surprised at how incredibly awesome this looks. The boots make the whole look - as does the man himself. Kudos!
three pics from pitti. Still awaiting for more
I'm feeling the pinks, greens, and blues; but the orange is a bit unfortunate.
I'm not a fan of pink, but I would so wear the shirt and jacket.
Homem de pink. Lindo!!!
Man in pink. Beautiful!!!
Beijos,
i like this. he looks comfortable. it's like a cleaned up "fuck you" look.
He is like young Micky Rourke.
I love a man who embraces colour!
www.jkstylehunter.blogspot.com
Etro-esque!
http://tresfraisnajee.blogspot.com/
Thats the coolest tie ever.
Love it, the whole thing, something I would wear
He looks great. So put together, but effortless. And the 80's knit tie... :-)
That's just an amazing combination of fabrics and colors. Totally envious.
Oh, hair! Oh, the pink! Oh, the boots!
These are literally the thoughts that went into my head on seeing this picture. I love it!
http://www.etsy.com/shop/emilywootton
OK now thats what I'm talking about~ WOW!!! I wish I had a poster of this guy to put on my Bty. Shop wall...YEP!
let's bring colors for me.. bravo lapo
Great Colours!
yes, just yes! so cool.
So bright and beautiful.
woooww. wow. this is so fantastic my jaw literally dropped!
fantastic color combo with the shirt and jacket.
Fashion X K8.blogspot.com
Amazing! I love green and pink. I'm a guy, I totally wear everything...except the jeans.
MINT
i can see myself wearing this
with my own twists of course
He Makes Pink look Cool
i've just found this blog and i hacve to say that i love it, it's really amainzing!
He hits the pinks nicely here, I don't think he does nearly as well with the blues though. the pocket square is too light for the jeans and the blue in the jacket has too much green in it to really match either of the other blues. Well done on the pinks though
A very bold choice that ultimately yields success. Obviously the pink shirt is going to be the center of attention, but it doesn't look out of place at all with the rest of the outfit. I must admit, I never thought I'd see a pink/brown/teal plaid jacket that was somehow *not* the flashiest part of the ensemble.
The unbuttoned cuffs are a great touch.
the jacket is key - it unifies the whole look - masculine, rugged yet pulled together with polish. Beautiful image
love a plaid jacket, love a knit tie, love a man in pink, love a lot of scruff, love a baby blue pocket square in all that colour.
but that hair... that hair gets no love.
This is a beautiful picture. The man is rough but approachable at the same time. His eyes are brilliant.
Love the boots and the blazer!
Lots of pink, cannot help to welcome spring season.
What a surprisingly workable combination.
Clown.
It's great to see glamorous inherited wealth plus idiosyncratic risk-taking in personal style, and this guy is normally wonderful to watch: but this outfit, it's just saying clown. Maybe there's a subtle italian commedia del arte reference we're not getting...
I have a jacket like that, but my colours are nowhere near as great as his. By the way, I work for an indie bookshop and wrote a blurb on your book in this month's newsletter! http://www.dieselbookstore.com/january-2010
oh j'adore!
omg the colour is incredible.
a real guy wears a pink shirt ♥ ♥ ♥
He looks quite exciting
Now this is what fashion is all about!!!!
Beautiful!!
PINK RULES!
I am always amazed by his style. Obviously very creative but more importantly he is very bold in styling himself, he doesn't hesitate to be marginal. Even when he wears a suit he spices it up with either amazing vibrant colors or very unique accessories.
what a colours....yes!!!!!
BRILLIANT. This has made my day.
Aw, Sart.... I could see you in this.
If you dare!
I love man that aren't afraid of pink!
I really don't understand this Lapo thing.
If a normal dude was wearing this same outfit he would just be considered ridiculous.
I guess he is trying to imitate his granfather, but...sorry Lapo...mission not accomplished.
So amazing,I never be disappointed from Lapo , the coolerst Italian guy
this pics makes me happy!
I like the shirt, and it looks good with the tie (about the tie: i'd have picked a skinny tie). I don't know about the jacket though...!
The only thing I can add is that, the whole thing works out well on him...
Tout simplement magnifique !
Lapo is a dead-set-legend. He knows precisely what he wants to achieve, elegance and fun all done with a lot of positive energy/attitude - love it: head to toe.
The pink has really big WRRUMMMM. ;-) interesting space for tattoos.
There are things I love about Lapo Elkann's style, his continually greasy/dirty looking hair is not one of them. It really makes him look like a euro-trash Italian pimp. On the other hand that jacket is beautiful and those boots I would kill for.
oh come on, its just plain awful
I love that he unbuttoned his jacket cuffs. Also shows off the quality of the blazer!
Love the way buttons are open, looks so effortless but is very well planned. Nice man. Like it!
Liliane
Great style with a modern twist.
On paper it's awful, in reality - superb!
i love him!
Wow, from Norway
A bit extreme but definitely eye catching!
what is the model of mobile phone does he have in his hands?
Lapo is the man...
What a powerful combination, that goes very well along with his facial expression.
This is "style", by definition.
www.kleidsam.blogspot.com
I think he is one of those men who know how to wear pink.
I agree with someone who said that's the coolest tie ever! So true!
love it love it love it
ok , this guys dresses like crazy ! v v nice, where does he get his inspiration from?? he always looks messy hot, so natural, so down to earth , he just has style and that's it! bravo monsieur !
bluefreshair.blogspot.com
Great style!
www.abitoffshion.com
Magnificent! Lapo and Luca are unquestionably modern style icons.
I wish more American men would wear pink. The right shade can be fantastic.
My family's from the Caribbean and there pink shirts on men are no biggie.
Love Lapo's shirt and the jacket.
He looks amazing. Love the colours and his boots
I really love the use of color and comfortablity of putting it all together!!
His grandfather would be proud!!
Just a little political fashion note. As you will see, Lapo seems not to be very popular with Italians. This is because he is a nephew of Gianni Agnelli, the former owner of FIAT car factory. It looks like that when hard times come for FIAT, the taxpayer has to help the firm that is too big to fail.; when hard times come for Italy, you can count that FIAT will not help and the Agnelli family will be counting their money while laying off workers. Frankly, a pink shirt is not enough to overcome this that may be a prejudice, but has its reasons.
so adorable!
I definitely miss Sart taking pictures of more "real street men" rather than ones of already well-known people. Leave that for the GQ works, not inspiring.
in italy there are many real guys then :) men are wearing purple-lavender pink and fucsia for a couple of years now...it is an eloquent color statement, but "green" in its reticence is the color for magic in man style...as we have seen in some other recent posts.
FAB!
One word: YUM! :P
Lapo is the cutest ever! And he really look like a young Mickey Rourke and MR used to be the most fabulous guy in the universe.
I don't think he tries too hard at all, I think he's got a wonderful wardrobe to choose from, and a lot of attitude and looks to get away with almost anything.
This is a dude who would like a million dollar even in dreadlocks and cut offs combined with a stetson and some sweat bandana around his head :)
No-one but no-one does it like Lapo. He is a sartorial maestro. Bravo.
Lapo never disappoints! Total effortless style, making your granddaddy proud!
I love Lapo Elkann, is my fashion man idol!
Who made that jacket? Me want
....not me but overall he looks very stylish with the possible exception of the boots which are perhaps a shade too orthopaedic or maybe iron foundryish.....turned up jeans still seem to be in in Italy!!
shirt collar is too small, it´s tips cannot be covered by the jacket´s lapels and are lifted up from the shirt front by the tie knot. very italian gentleman - NOT !
open buttons on both cuffs is just pompous and vulgar, especially if one can afford bespoke by the truckload. subtleness obviously can not be inherited.
the pocket square matching the cuffs on the jeans, intentionally or unintentionally, is GENIUS.
Great jacket, tie & shirt combo (even if having 2 butons open on the cuff is a little gauche).
BUT the jeans and boots are a massive NO....
i wanna be his colorful fiat!!
EXCELLENT, Love it :)
