Blogger Ashley said ... (5:52 PM) :

LOVE IT. It's soo raw and just...gah. I want his clothes.

Blogger ryan said ... (5:54 PM) :

i wish i could make out all the coats letters. i see "peace is tough" twice, what else? anyways its a sweet jacket that reminds me and i'm sure its wearer of the clothes The Clash used to wear/make/retrofit in their early years (76 and 77). He looks like as if hes the head of a punk record label or something, he a classy punk; they dont get along with gutter or crust punks for the record.

Blogger Sarah said ... (5:54 PM) :

How strange, I had to look twice at the location too - its so Berlin. I think it is even less about the outfit, but how he carries it. he seems so quiet to be in such a loud ensemble. The black and white makes it.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:54 PM) :

Yes he's male! It's Dean Mayo-Davies

Blogger Iris POP said ... (5:56 PM) :

boy or girl? i wpuld rather bet on 'bpy', but then again, some comments made me think twice?!

Gorgeous images by Sart, but really hating the exploitative soft-porn American Apparel ads. Getting worse - and that's saying something.

Blogger MAISON CHAPLIN said ... (5:33 AM) :

This is the first time you shoot a black and white picture, isn't it? It's so glamorous, i love it....

Anonymous Alice said ... (5:58 AM) :

I love black and white photography - soemtimes it says more about the outfit than the colours.

Blogger Villa Nellcote said ... (6:09 AM) :

Good look, good pic. Interesting the coat looks a little oversized, which feels consistent with the DIY / thrift look --> contrast with a modern very fitted look. Fab. coat but the look is a little derivative to me...I mean, the Paul Simonon template needs no messing with & it looks ace, but it's an unsurprising look maybe? Was thinking the DMs were too easy, but then when I started thinking big Nikes or something like that with it I decided that was too obvious with CDG, so maybe it's perfectly judged. Cool guy, looks original Manchester punk.

Anonymous leinti nti said ... (6:28 AM) :

another great outfit/attitude here. loving the fact that viewers cannot really understand the sex of the person, which makes it even cooler.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:02 AM) :

That's funny, that guy reminds me Thom Yorke from Radiohead!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:08 AM) :

It is a boy or a girl? many confusion in all the comments!!

Anonymous ElodieVeryPetit said ... (7:10 AM) :

Blogger Sean said ... (10:10 AM) :

I love seeing the same people shot by you and other bloggers. There was a detail shot of this guy's jacket by Tommy Ton on and getting the complete picture here - and such a different take on the outfit - is fascinating!

Blogger jkt said ... (10:43 AM) :

Ooo, delicious b&w nice, thanks!

Blogger The Concrete Commentator said ... (11:00 AM) :

the composition of this photograph is stunning! great work.

Blogger the Citizen Rosebud said ... (12:04 PM) :

Not sure why so many viewers are calling these Mister a her. For me, clearly a man, and a friggin, dangerously stylish one at that. So nice, it hurts. Well done.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:05 PM) :

Wow....the composition is stunning, as earlier stated....but there is a lonely indifference to this, the City and backlight seem like another point in time. The fashion perspective seems to promote a modern city persona.A gem!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:34 PM) :

This takes streetstyle to a new level. This is art - not style.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:31 PM) :

Cool, boyish and effortless.

The time of day, the black and white, the look on his face - Paris embraced. Love.

Blogger SNLombardi said ... (10:30 AM) :

too fabulous for words!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:16 AM) :

This is Dean Mayo-Davies, he is one of the coolest most original writers out there at the moment. His done some major interveiws with some incredible people. His originality and ingenious words spill out endlessly into his persona and clothes. He is very young and very new but I am sure and hope we see a lot more of him!
