Comments on "On the Street...... Tough Enough for Fashion, Pitti Uomo"
I like the simplicity present in this look and the casual rolled jeans.
i'm sure i'm being heretical in todays fashion environment, but jeans simply do not go with a sport jacket. no way, no how.
Love the socks!!
Love the juxtaposition!
Makes everything work nicely - even the socks! Really like the jacket, shirt, tie combo.
Nice going there with the top shirt button, unbuttoned. Looks relaxed, easy lounging! :) He should join the suitsociety.com
Cool semi-formal attire. He looks good and knows it.
i just discovered your blog and it's amazing! thanks for such great posts and design inspiration.
that dude's socks: fantastic. along with the tiny button and spotted kerchief.
the socks. <3
it's all in the details! xx
Wow. That guy has the perfect combination of unsophistication and style. I love it.
I think I love his stripey socks the most!

I want his handkerchief!
A formal jacket and tie paired with jeans is affected.
I like the button and handkerchief. Blazer and jeans, chic yet masculine.
Ooh, it's wonderful.
:)
You have such good taste in clothing. Oh my..
excellent use of socks
excellent use of socks
hey scott, i always love every pic you post from the pitti. every image has something special... but why do you post so little amount of pics from florence, when there is so much inspiration!! hope to see more and keep up the great work! ciao
that's rock!
Love the looks, although not really into the pocket square.
love this look, elegant but rugged at the same time. the small details make this look to notch
I love this - what a contrast between the hanky in his blazer and his outward tough persona - he's definately tough enough to be fashionable!
www.urbanoptimist.wordpress.com
Ah! Such a good way of improving your day :)
I love the material of the blazer and the detail of the slim jeans plus the socks! His wrinkles around the mouth are just lovely.
Keep up with the good work!
urban fashion is so unexpected that becomes the best one!
Love it all. He looks like a wonderful, friendly guy. I can tell by his socks =) xo

Dots, stripes... All tied together nicely in jeans, grey and brown (with a splash of red). A real gentleman's attire!
This look is amazing! I really like it!
Formal enough and with a personal touch, especially the socks and the pin.
I just adore a prominent nose and a high hairline. Plus the dimples! The clothes don't detract from the overwhelming boyish charm-add to it a bit in fact.
"Tough" love! I love everything about him. The shoes! The pocket square. The fit of the beautiful gray jacket. The dimples.
Love from VT
gorgeous jacket!
Dig the blazer.
Dopeness!
A t-shirt, jeans, good oxfords or wing-tips + natty socks= success. The socks, oh, the socks make it.
I love it. He's perfect
Interesting combination going on here. Almost 'mountain man' meets 'city chic.' I love the socks, they add a playfulness to this look.
Those socks... and he made it work! Wow!
I love what's going on here. The jacket, the pocket square, the tiny flower in the lapel, the striped socks--EVERYTHING! Nice sheen on the shoes too...

JDR les chaussettes !
suave.
I am very much enjoying the handkerchief with the jacket.
wow. i want that jacket. if anyone knows the brand, please tell me.
The tongue-in-cheek lapel flower shows a sense of humor. Love that in a man.
Drool. Stylish, check. Gorgeous, check. Curly hair, check. MASSIVE CHIN CLEFT - Big Check!
Like!
WATIN TO BECAME MAN TO DO IT LIKE THIS.
LOVE IT.

CHICMUSE

Very nice! Solid and sharp, and I love the air of comfort.
Very nice colors and fit. It works.
the rolled cuff returns.
http://tresfraisnajee.blogspot.com/
his style is wonderful. conservative yet with items highlighting his personality shining through.
Love the ensemble !
mmm he looks like a sweet guy :)
Wow. Sexy and stylish.
I'm in love with his striped socks and polka dot handkerchief!
Nicely done!
great details; the red, the yellow, the blue...
i love all the outfit, the mix of garments and contrast of textures. The photos in your blog have been an inspiration for me. congrats!
oh wow this is so amazing. he's dressed so classy.. with very good attention to detail
Love the hints of color along with the composition of this image.
www.thethriftreport.blogspot.com
Those are great socks!
for me, this is the epitome of the C21 urban professional everyday style
his face is kinda surfee rough yet his outfit is perfectly thought out......love this shot.x

HOT.
Um, love the sock and shoes and cuffed jeans.
Ticket pockets. Yes!
love it. his tough person would seem to overshadow that wonderfully streamlined outfit, but it doesn't. talk about wearing an outfit with "ease".
SOCKS!!
I love his jacket. Great interview over at Luisa via roma :)
great! everything is in details)
i love all the outfit, the mix of garments and contrast of textures. The photos in your blog have been an inspiration for me. congrats!
Somehow ALL about the ticket pocket on the jacket, no? Dig it.
That man is a BA
Where can i find a tie like that!!! That is such a nice one! Nicholas Sarkozy wears ties in that colour too, it's like matte black or very deep dark blue. Great photo!
I love the accessories! The button looks great on the coat. I am in love with his socks, too. Great shot.
love it!!
perfect!!
great jacket.
I love a man in stripey socks :)
This really struck a cord with me. I like the Fashion forward Trad mix going on with this guy. Jeans and solid shoes topped by a modern cut jacket, shirt, tie combo. Thin multi stripe socks instead of argyles keeps a slight edge.
Jeans and a pocket kerchief are an unusual combination, but he is such a confident fellow he carries it off. Love the stripey socks!
Great look. I want his shoes!
I love this. I love the pocket square and the red pin and the socks. And the ever-so-slight smug look. Great shot.
He emulates a cool yet tough look, should be a mens standard.
Ah! a perfect look in every single detail.
he works this so well! and he definitely makes it his own style.
the colour combination is perfect.
It is so refreshing to see a tough looking man who also has a great sense of fashion and still feel masculine and secure in his haberdashery.
Dashing!
Love the pocket square and the socks!
The pin! The socks! The peek of yellow! Beautiful.
http://watermelonfeet.blogspot.com
What a dreamboat!
at first glance i thought this was Dane Cook. nice portfolio case.
Adore his style as much as his Cary Grant cleft chine
Perfect.
Blazer!!!
Outfit, get ye in mah closet! This is precisely the kind of look I go for when I am allowed to wear jeans. A weekend look, no doubt.
Oh, this is so delicious!
Want me some of that, for sure..
As a young woman I love seeing a man whose clothing choices reflect a sense of respect for one's self, a feeling of comfort, and masculinity without egotism. I also enjoy those respective qualities in a woman (insert feminine, though).
In a world where gender, sexuality, and identity know longer have the cut-and-dry boundaries of Old, I recognize my desire for gender-specific qualities may be outdated. But, I can't help but feel that way! It's biology! Just as some adore the gender-bending (which I can totally respect), I also adore a manly man.
To conclude my ideas on this photo: Yum.
Magnifique from the Blazer to the simplistic choice of socks.
Superbe my dear Sartorialist.
Incognito.
what a poor use to say that the best on someon's outfit are his socks.. Shame!
He seems content with his content.
cute sock and blazer!!!
Very well done. I don't know where to start complimenting him since I like everything here. I would probably adjust his pocket square a bit. Not because it needs it but because I want to touch something of his.
WOW.
Epic.
Loves.
was wondering if anyone knows of the make of his porfolio case...tres chic!
Snazzy indeed but everyone seems to be missing the pink faced phone (blackberry maybe) he`s holding that makes this shot sooo wondeful and sophisticated
It is so rare these days to see someone that is stylish, fashionable AND distinctly masculine. This is that someone, great capture.
i love how fitted his sport coat is.
he is hot! love his socks
http://www.pilcuis.blogspot.com
his jacket is lovely.
i would like one just like it in my closet.
http://beauteexterne.blogspot.com/
Modern ... Aaaaaahmen!
I think my favorite thing about this picture is the visual contrast with the wall he's sitting on. Great photography!
So gorgeous socks, and nice scarf on his pocket, also the light-gery jacket perform a perfect look.
i love!such cool.
www.whatdialike.com
Fashion will never leave him and the style will be around for alot of years. Icyents - http://newhottopics.com
Best thing in this photo is the guy's face -- but that's no fashion effort! Love it! Got his email/phone number/whatevs to pass on? :-D
Anyone know who makes his portfolio case? I initially thought it was WANTLesEssentielsDeVie, but I don't think so.
I'm not fond of the jeans but the rest of his look is so stylish and inspiring!
Great outfit, almost perfect, I would have worn a sligtly darker or lighter shade of jeans, i don't care for this one - but otherwise the outfit is great.
http://fabulosity-capetown.blogspot.com/
ha, AA ads are back so are barebutt lordoza girls.
dear god, Sart, is it really necessary?
I like the way he accessorized the look, really stylish ;)
kiss
just... Sublime!!!
Everything is insanely impeccable. Pressed and fancy to boot. Yay for his stylish self!

Those who say/think that a jacket (sport jacket, as it is described in the US )and jeans is a big NO, are absolutely wrong. Perhaps is because their lack of imagination in dressing limits their eyes.
As per the look being " affected", that it to go even further.
The man looks sophisticated in the most elegant of ways. No pretension, yet lots of creativity. Absolutely chic.
Perfect and so inspiring for spring!
Oh- I always wanted to say this and now I can: He tries too hard.
Ilove many details: hanky, socks, jacket- but not the combination.
pure s*e*X! very hot...i believe one calls it a dilf..? )*-*(
Beautiful man, wonderful style!!
I love the gray jacket! So stylish! Well done!
www.abitoffashion.com
The usually twee combination of jeans with the apparent formality, very surprisingly, actually works for him. I love the whole outfit (but he should lose the red pin).
some people are gifted :-) simple as it is attitude. Luv :-)
there are three websites i check every day..
my e-mail account, facebook and your blog!! :))
i ♥ it!! way to go..
xoxo

VERY NICE ! ( except the black bag...Which is too much ,according to me with this outfit, and on that photo )
KISS !

...AND BLACK SHOES WOULD BE BETTER !^^

True fashion is an expression, a feeling, a vibe. When you can pull relevent pieces together and make it you own. Perfecto! Don't let the clothes wear you.
This knocked my socks off.
Todd Willis
I can't really understand what's the red pin, but j'adore.
http://thestyleparticle.blogspot.com
adoring the stripe action!
LOVE THE BLAZER!
http://thestylecurator.blogspot.com/
for me he is so perfectly put together. slim fit on jacket, striped socks and pocket square give him style. easy smile. great color of shoe. black tie black stripe in sock works w/out looking matchy. great look!
amazing photo.
questo stile mi rispecchia molto....complimenti!!!
http://louis-myfashionshow.blogspot.com/
Nice outfit!! :)
I'm thinking Robert Redford circa "All the President's Men"....gorgeous.
I love his happy smile but his jacket and shirt are too small.
He is dashingly handsome. This is the type of man I'd like to meet and bring him back to my room before I even know him name.
so elegantly done!
his style is impeccable. everything's so perfectly placed.
vindavindasonata.blogspot.com
I like the shoes and the grey is so good with the blues.
http://thirtydirtybirds.wordpress.com/
soooo attractive,it took my breath away!
Great shoes too.
perfect. actually perfect.
except for perhaps the roll.

Totally diggin' the bum chin :)
http://www.littlerazzi.blogspot.com
Good outfit!!... love the rolled jeans, makes the Shoese stand out... By the way they look like Santoni shoese to me, nice, and the blazer the cut, with the flower, thas gotta be Tonello, Just awesome, love Tonello Blazers!... Good photo!
Nice!
OMG.. I´m in love!!!!
great pic... love every single detail of it..
he´s just perfect..
love the little touches of whimsy - the polka-dot handkerchief, the red button on the lapel, the stripped socks!
Random Question, if anyone happens to know, what jeans they are and where I can pick up a pair?!
Oh the boutonniere in his lapel is perfect!
www.blumebloom.com
Love the colour of the jeans.
like the brown shoes and the paul Smith socks?
I want to marry this man.
I have the Gold-Toe version of those socks. The only quibble I have with the way he is dressed is the mdium brown shoes with what appears to be a black tie. It looks like he is trying too hard.
Where all these men find so cute pocket squares?I absolutely love them! I also like the bag, chic and masculine..
He is wearing the clothes and the clothes not wearing him. He looks absolutely comfortable with his style. It's basic and yet stylish. That's how it should be. He's a man with a great taste and a beautiful eye for details. The socks are superb. I wish, men would wear more colorful/striped/dotted socks, even with a formal outfit. It's always a great stylish detail (the italians and brits know what I'm talking about). Great outfit. Thanks for the photo.
Those socks look exactly like my Paul Smith pair. Perfect way to show them off; I'll borrow liberally from this gentleman'look in the very near future.
Energie
Fabulous and so handsome! Anyone know where I can find shoes like that?
Now there's an outfit that's easy on the eyes.
bingo. wouldn't mind seeing the shoes full frontal.
The SOCKS (and perhaps the button on the lapel) are what set this apart! Details...
Otherwise a relatively standard, yet classic and appropriate look.
Oh, the relaxed top button gives it a confident/masculine edge...
It's a sad commentary on the relative dearth of well-dressed men that a shot this ordinary garners so much praise. Yes, he looks fine, but that's all. I like his face and manner (i.e., the man himself) better than anything he's wearing. And I'm mystified by all the rave reviews.
i know this is not a dating website but "WOOF!!!" the dude is a spunk, anyone know who he is?
and H&M did a version of those socks in a 2-pack for about 2 pounds 99p! If anyone is interested!
verry simple. but still noteworthy.
Great socks
What an amazing fit! LOVE this!
The socks definitely make the outfit!
T.A.H.
www.taidenhunter.blogspot.com
This would look boring, uncoordinated, awkward, slipshod & busy on me but it works for him...I think his ruggedness makes it, & the sense of comfort in himself...I'm not envious of the look & I'm not sure it's right but I'm envious / appreciative of his ability to make it work & look right.
who cares about the socks? He rocks!
I like him!
It's simple and cool..
and sexy!
I love this and especially love the socks!
www.jillymoos.com
im sorry but this guy is freakin HOT!
This is very now! This is how all the hipsters are dressing in New York right now.
MYSOCIETYNEWYORK.COM
Those socks,those socks!!!love them...
completed the whole look,for me...
nice socks! The look is simple but cool.
... UNpretentiously Gorgeous !!!
Love him , the smile , the look !!!
Simply sexy and handsome...all works because this man knowns style!
Who is this well dressed man? Is he a fashion industry person?
T
I didn't know there where still rugged looking men like this. What a refreshing change from the thin white dukes.
Painfully good execution.
actually like the socks but not sure if it goes well with the shoes..cannot decide?liked the whole colors he has..especially the handkerchief.
I really love the fact that the ruggedness of his face and hair do not take away from his outfit. They compliment each other so well.
and the rolled up jeans! Guaranteed to get photographed here.
like the sox, but agree with those who are critical of jacket with jeans. it's just not on. i live in L.A., everybody does it so its not even edgy anymore and its certainly never been stylish.
His jacket is a sportcoat, or just a jacket; it's not a blazer. A blazer is a blue jacket with brass buttons. In fact, it's the only men's jacket that takes brass buttons. Anything which is not blue and has buttons which are not brass is not a blazer; it's a sportcoat. The one exception is the blazer given to golfers who win the Masters', which is green, and its older cousin, the dark green blazer worn by alumni of Dartmouth College.
when i scrolled down his face reminded me of jack black, but when i saw his outfit, he totally made it to one of my fav guy outfits!!!! super impressed :)

great fitting jacket. He looks comfortable in what he's wearing.
I love everything abut this.
so much style! the socks are epic
lovesss it
Smart and playfull
love. I especially love the little accents here and there, red button, yellow on the black binder, great socks. He takes something ordinary and puts a little flair to make you look twice. Goes great with his curly hair. Love.
