At Pitti Uomo.....Turtlenecks & Green, Florence
This shot captures two of the biggest trends I've seen on the gentleman of Pitti Uomo this season.
First, green as an impact color. I don't know if it's just me or if all the really cool guys seem to be working a dash of green into their best looks lately.
Second, turtlenecks in every proportion. Either big and chunky and worn with a peacoat/ parka or slim and sleek and worn with a suit or sportscoat.

Those trousers are so interesting! I like how he's mixed so many textures - the silk of the kerchief, the leather gloves, the wool suit, and the panelling on the trousers.
great hair! i don't think i can pull off that deep green, but i'm going to try to incorporate some more green into my looks, maybe starting tomorrow!
loving the gloves!
Wow, this gent has style. Love the colours
wow! oh so green! love that he uses a yellow phone though. like a leprechaun carrying a bar of gold :D
i like the two greens together, light and dark
That green is stunning. I love these trends!
so... that shell positioned between his legs is unfortunately a tad distracting.
beautiful colour! its so rich
very nice! i like the different pieces and how they come together. lol Im also keen on the yellow pop with his cell phone
he's handsome and i love the color of his jacket.
love the accents from the one button, the collar, the leather gloves, the lines in the denim. perfect!
❤ the green..
look@ t pocket, so Lux & elegance
black turtle, gloves, belt..
Love it!
Really bold colors! Love the green yellow combination
Simply Beautiful!!
I was so bored in the office...but looking at all these AMAZING photos were exactly the INSPIRATION I needed to energize me!
Can't wait to go shopping and express myself! =)
PS: Love the greens man. And I can't say enough about the Rio pics. =)
Dear Sir,
I suggest a bespoke necktie of Tessitura Albeni 1905.

just for a gentleman
love it ! it´s so fantastic
the bit of yellow (the dream of rio!) and the pale green hankerchief.
i love the green jacket!

That green blazer looks great... would of liked to see the shoes to see the complete look... Hope to see more of Pitti Uomo. Still wating for you to come to Arezzo...
Are turned up collars a trend as well?
I'm old school and love jackets sitting how they are supposed to.
Big fan of green, it hasn't been centre stage for a while and is in contrast to all the melon and oranges variations that we've had this summer in Australia.

I saw lots of men, of all ages, fine knit turtlenecks and sports jackets when I was in Berlin last week. It's a very elegant look. The two shades of green elevate this look to something special.
Perhaps a shirt is just not cosy enough for the extremely cold winter we are having in Europe.
He looks so amazing! And that green coat...and mostly, those eyes! So gorgeous!

Love all the details in green, black and lime: he is really handsome...
Love this black turtleneck combine with this wonderful green blazer !

I love the green as an impact colour idea. hope it spreads to other countries.
This boy is not only wonderful but he has a great style!

The pocket square sets this outfit off nicely

SUPER PHOTO ( yes...as always ! ) ( and certainly forever ! )
About the outfit :
GREAT COLOR ...THAT GREEN MATCHES PERFECTLY WITH THAT YELLOW !
HOWEVER, ACCORDING TO MY TASTE ...( i 'm a fashion designer ) THE SHOULDERS ARE TOO SHORTS, REALLY TO SHORT AND THE MATERIAL IN THE POCKET IS 100% UNNECESSARY ...
BUT EXCEPT ALL POINTS NOTICED...THIS IS GREAT !
KISSES !

It's incredible how everybody see different colors in the same photography. Nice neo-cargo grey marengo(for me)trousers. However I prefer more shocking and colorful handkerchiefs, like the ones made by Etro.
Atusada Para Nada
Love green blazer!
Green. My ultimate favorite color. Seems to be a great go to color for stylish men as well. + Purple.
Loving the gloves with that blazer and the pocket "flower"
Great detail.
what an interesting man with interesting outfit. this man is very fine. interesting shot!!
vindavindasonata.blogspot.com
The color is beautiful on most skin tone. Unfortunately, the outfit doesn't do anything for him. He looks very uncomfortable in his clothes.
Nice blazer.
I love both trends and he pulls them off perfectly. Nothing about him and this pix I don't like. He looks polished and perfectly pulled together but not like he gave it much thought.
Love this deep green color. It's so unique . And the gloves are a wonderful touch
I think that turtleneck + jacket = the most boring / schematical match a man can use :-(
the gloves & buttonhole ar trying to save the day, but still... could be better :-)
Just love the pic...do you have his contact???
Everything about his style is perfect, down to the yellow cell phone!
Beautiful smaragd colour
Dashing!
for over 20 years my dad has been wearing a fitted turtleneck and a sports coat when ever he goes into court (he's a lawyer). He has always thought it made a statement.. I'm not sure what statement but I like the look a lot!!
texture for the win and very sleek.
Everytime Scott visits Pitti Oumo I get so Inspired! My absolute favorite location in this blog...
Even his phone adds a nice dash of color, love it. Please come to Bologna! It's right between Milan and Florence and the people here are so stylish.

Two things I can't go without in my wardrobe - turtlenecks and green! Thanks for this photo, it's very nice.
wow!! The green is amazing, it works very good!! And the turtleneck too.
He's also cute ;P
I think green suits him well. I can get behind the velvet jacket, I can see the trendy pants, but a turtleneck is a dangerous proposition, does not work for everyone. Luckily, we dont see many in South Florida. Great pictures! Jorge from WPB
Fellow looks like an international jewel thief.
wow!
Love his sport jacket and the deep green color!
http://letsgrowuplater.blogspot.com/
the deep green combined witht he splash of egg-yolk yellow from his cell phone is doing great things for my eyes...swoon!
green has always been the new pink for guys with a warm heart. xoxo! :)
Gorgeous green.
http://lhabitue.blogspot.com/
I love the pocket square. More than the jacket, this tells me green is his colour choice. Accessories accentuate.
Love the gloves! And, the color of his jacket is fantastic.
I love the blazer/turtleneck combo!! This look is splendid! Its amazing how much your site has improved my own style choices and my confidence as a whole!
I like everthing about this pic:
the jacket - luv the green
the turtleneck - perfect staple
the pants - great design
the gloves - goes perfectly
the guy - umm, super cute
He does look sharp. Like another poster said, a different color/pattern handkerchief might set things off nicely, but maybe that's the job of the phone.
The pants look good while he's sitting, but I wonder about when he gets up (cargo pants...).
Great gloves.
i like this dude's look a lot. that is the richest shade of green. plays well off the light gray. very sophisticated and clean.
chi di verde si veste, di sua beltà si fida...........it's an italian proverb, mean: people that dress in green are very confident
AWESOME green... he looks terrific.
Miam miam...quelle élégance !!!
"I don't know if it's just me or if all the really cool guys seem to..."
haha tht's very modest ^^
and i love this style! yes, dark green puts on a bit of glamour and looks classy.
It's the return of the 60s Mod look!

Green Lantern will finally have his day!

The pocket square is the best part!!!! What a gorgeous man.
Def. makes you take notice and turn your head.
When has this "trend" ever been any more than good taste?
Love the black turtleneck!
wow, one of the best pictures ive seen
I love his little pocket square as well.
http://diyainherstilettos.blogspot.com/
love the trousers and the pocket is great
http://2cupsofteaandacoffee.blogspot.com
I love green in winter, it adds colour to an outfit without beeing too radical with the witner colours....
www.sweetandterfashionista.blogspot.com
I realize that you spent your time in Brazil, but it's -20 degrees where I am now - and I'm desperate for some really wintery fashion!!!
I like it all together. I think the jacket is a bit too bright green. With the pocket square, it looks a bit like a St. Patrick's Day outfit.
Agreed green is an awesome impact color! He makes turtlenecks look cool too ha.
they'll be rocking green on st patrick's day for sure
Dark Green is a great alternative to the traditional black or navy suits. I love the look.
Where's Joana? So anxious for Joana's new photos...
This is so funny because I've literally been obsessed with the color green lately.
amazing green jacket!
www.whatdialike.com
what a pity ! Ihaven´t able to stay at the PITTY this time to see this kind of people.
oooo, I like. I like very much. Emerald green is my favorite green.
thesunlightdistrict.blogspot.com
wow! this image is perfect!
Living in the Great white North, I started to wear nothing but turtlenecks on the cold winter days and have not had a winter cold in 5 years!
They look good and do a great job on blustery days!
He has done it well.
Love the colors !!!
Thanks Sart for mentioning the much forgotten turtleneck. I wear a black one religiously. In my neck of the woods (West Coast) it is hard to find one. I see variations e.g. mock, half zip, shawl...but nothing beats a turtle...!
I love the green and, of course, Florence -- but that mint green silk pocket puff is what catches my eye. Great photo, interpretation.
The green blazer with the nice picket square and the black turtleneck work well with his skin tone and hair but I am not digging the gloves or the pants with this outfit. The gloves are too chunky for the slender fit of the blazer and you can just forget the cargo pockets on the pants.
Nice capture though.
I LOVE the jacket, it would look great on a female as well. I especially love the little splash of the lighter green in the pocket. I love the color green but don't usually wear it with black, but it sure works well on him, and I'll be sure to use the pairing more often from now on!
waaaaaw wat a guy !!!!
and just love that yellow.
www.weartodare.blogspot.com
wow!! i loveee this combination! superb!
Yes, the green is great and, always, a turtle neck is a little mysterious, but shouldn't the clothes fit? What's the deal with men wearing sport coats/suit coats that are too small? The shoulder are too narrow, the front barely meets and the sleeves are two short. If he takes deep breath, buttons will fly and seams will pop.
this guy is very cute. love the dark green jacket with the lime green pocket square. it is the bright yellow phone, though, that makes the photo!
i've been wearing green for a long time: a trend setter and i didn't even know it!
Perfect colour matching!
His look is awesome. Love the green and the leather gloves.
Great gloves!
Your Pitti photos are always the most inspiring and a harbinger of what's to come!
This is actually a revisiting of a classic look originally favored by gentlemen who shoot or ride to hounds - hence the named color "hunter green." The silhouette is trimmer and a tad shorter, but the inspiration is clear.
great color!
Wow, I love the green. It is one of my favorite colors. He looks very chic.

Wow, Hello!
Did you happen to get his number Scott? No? that's a terrible shame.

love the pop of the green and especially the yellow phone. who says phones can't be a great accessory?

Delicioso.
The bolt of bright yellow held in black leather gloves spins a story around him...It is the perfect pair of accessories to a fascinating ensemble.
He looks amazing and the phone is so funky! Loves it!
Love,

Love the old-school color and style... even cargo pants are elevated by association with the rest of the ensemble! (And--good grief, he's a lovely man.)
yes!
Anybody recognize that phone?
Will you come to São Paulo Fashion Week?
Wow, great shot! Love his use of greens!
http://madeleine-thestylechaser.blogspot.com/
the green blazer is so stoic looking- love it!
love the green blazer - its so stoic!
This colour combo and his style take my breath away
as do the textures and composition of the shot. So new and fresh looking.

Green do seems to be the new colour.
Turtlenecks are very 'in' now; they were on the runways of Burberry and Bottega Veneta.
For myself, I'm liking the chunkier turtlenecks that have been around this season. Also helps me keep warm as I'm in Copenhagen.

That shade of green is mesmerizing. Yellow phone only makes it that much richer.
I suspect the turtlenecks this year are less about fashion and more about the much colder than usual winter in places like Europe.
i actually really like the pants, kinda motorcycle inspired..
Very Good
The jacket has a fine fit. Maybe the gloves rather than the phone should be yellow. He needs shirt cuffs to give depth to the gloves.
I'm just not sure about the slim turtleneck. It sometimes looks good, this guy is an example, but mostly it just creates a creepy late-70s child-touched vibe. That's just too big a risk to take on a trend.
wow, this guy is gooooood lookin'! :-P
I adore the green color!
turtle necks and blazers
turtle necks and p coats
turtle necks under a chemise
turtle necks under outdoor vests (+flannel)
turtle necks under thick knits
turtle necks + your imagination
Divine.
Gorgeous guy. Love the greens together. I wondered about the fit of the jacket, but see others have commented on it as well. Great cargo pants and gloves. Overall, nice composition.
Its my favourite thing in mens clothes, turtle neck, it looks elegant and so sexy.
And that green is beautiful.
I tried to find a dark green blazer like this a few years back. Nothing came close... that would fit a guy nearly 6'6" tall.
He looks awesome! Stylish and sexy. :-)
he looks nice with the green color plus he is cute :)
What a stylish man! And I love green color! Have a lovely sunday!
Gorgeous blazer! That deep green is fabulous!
Beautiful photo.

sighhhh. i just can't like green for clothes very much. in the natural world, yes. i hope this is a small trend for my sake.
Love this! that green blazer and yellow mobile just lights it all up
I totally agree!
I love the gloves holding a yellow phone.
Cool.
This men fits the outfit!
What a beautiful, rich, forest green! I'd love to see more of that colour in womenswear
Forest green is like black....it'll be around forever.
Love that color blazer. I will have to find my husband (or myself) something in that color!
Like the blazer
Green is good.

wow he looks so classy
www.jetblackdye.blogspot.com
The green blazer is an interesting choice of garment. Especially combined with a bright colored trouser. But the thing that makes this outfit is the contrast between the green in the blazer and the yellow cell phone.
Awesome....

what a gorgeous specimen of men in such a elegant, understand style. he has the panache of an authentic gentleman.
the gloves - they really make the outfit! and the yellow cell phone is a nice touch, too! =)
Fortunately green and black always had been my fav. colours, since childhood. Green hadnt been fashionable since more then ten years...
Love the well thought out accents - the gloves, handkerchief, watch, etc.
Wonderful.

Love that green jacket. Everything works well here.
For me it's all about that cell phone.

This is really sexy. Love the gloves on him.
He is a fashion GOD! I love every single detail of his outfit, down to his mobile phone!
Love the green colour, I have a cardigan that is the same shade, I get a lot of compliments on it.
YOU Mr.Schuman Started the green trend when u posted that dashing gentleman that had a great combination of green and navy back in the summer.....the floodgates flung wide open...so take a bow...
nice.
