such a cool job!!! love her bracelet
This look is so effortless, i love the dress!
www.alphonsine.ca
Organic looking outfit for a woman dedicated to organic things! I love how her bracelet contrast with her dress.
Adore those shoes, and the sequin detail on the dress :)
Georgous! :)
AMAZING SHOES
AMAZING SHOES
I like her shades but I'm not lovin' the hefty or the cheese wedge on her arm.
Bad posture, beautiful shoes!
I love the shades, but the dress has no shape and is not flattering in any way.
Her feet/shoes remind me of Bambi's hoofs
http://disney-clipart.com/bambi/jpg/Disney-Bambi-birds.php
I love her shoes. And the peek of her tattoo.
Yeah I can't wait for the 'bag dress' fad to go away. Completely unflattering!
How interesting...you'd never guess by looking at her.
Perceptions are funny. I would have thought she worked in the fashion industry.
That material is too stiff for a dress of that style.
Like the shoes, I guess.
Amazing shoes! :)
how amazing the world we are living now can have such diversity of occupations and people who work in different occupations can have their own sense of styles regardless .... expecially love her half-moon bangle, xx
bangle covet!!v
From head to toe...love the look!
sart, i wish you would bring back the larger size photos. i want to see the details (something running up the left side of the dress?) of the dress and you just can't do that with this size of photo.
i like the structure of that dress. it appears to be a little wider than i would want to wear, but it looks feminine, chic, elegant and professional. it also is the kind of dress that she can easily take from day to evening. a very practical dress!
Judging from her clothes and accessoires I would think she'll go for bold designs.
Love the shades , interesting choice on the dress... wish i could see some of the details a bit more better.
Overall nice outfit =)
loathe... the shapeless dress, the weirdly formal shoes, grandma's bag, the cheapy bangle on her arm, the grimaced expression and the pigeon towed stance (although this broke-down stance isn't unique to her I'm sorry to say).
LIKE ... her sleek low ponytail and her pixie ears
in general, sorry Sart - not feeling this one.
I love the shoes and the job.
don't love the outfit or the shoes but love her job!

her shoes are so pretty !
hello from poland;)
I am under the impression that shoe style in Australia is not like the northern hemisphere.
Great pirctures Sart. But where are the men of Australia?
love that dress.. so chic and yet so simple!
She is the most stylish horticulturist I have ever seen! Love the shoes.
bambinababy.blogspot.com
very chic - love the shoes!
www.friendinfashion.blogspot.com
Sharp look. Very sexy girl. Love her glasses. Her heels are mean.
Very Nice... I love everything about this look..
Scott I am so disappointed in you. You were taken to the pretentious parts of Sydney to take photos of boring looking people and you have not even gone to places like King Street Newtown, where the real people are. Sorry, but the people at Sass & Bide took you to Bondi...TWICE???Puh-lease.... next time take some good advice and you will get much better results...all of these Sydney photos are a bit on the boring side...everyone around the world thinks this is the best we have?? Who else thinks Scott should have checked out King Street? Not just Paddington, Pitt St and Bondi...so touristy..... :(
If you indeed went to King St, then I apologise for the ignorance, but I don't think you did...because of who was showing you around...they probably think King St is full of weirdos...
she is 99% angel.
I love that bracelet. Very cool shape!
www.FashionSnag.com
A sequined leather dress? This girl is up to the minute! Great outfit.
ANGEL
absolutely love the shoes. fantastic.
thank you so much for including posts on young proffessional women--as a current high school girl I'm truly inspired to succeed in whatever field i may choose when I see such stylish, successful women!
Love the leather dress...
you've captured her personality perfectly!
& it was very nice to meet you yesterday.
Wow, she looks fantastic! I'm in love with her dress, would be so much fun to wear.
It was great to meet you last night at the GPO - thanks for the photo, book signing and chat! You were even more friendly than I thought would be possible, absolutely lovely! I'll have to get my engineering outfits up to speed after seeing this gorgeous horticulturist.
Cheers
Melanie
im soo in love with her bracelet.
it is such a statement, and well contrasted with her dark dress.
Amazing shoes! Chanel?
very jealous. :( im gettinga degree in economics. FUNNNNN.
Simply and confortable!
love that bangle!
http://legiterally.blogspot.com/
Simply and confortable ;)
yesss lovely shoes!
The shoes and the bracelet..and specially the bracelet.. the shape.... thats a wow.... the dress is simple but fits her perfectly..... the bag is what gets me...... i would have choose a different bigger and more natural material.... then this dress would look fabulous..... the hair could be a little bolder... but...she is awesome... for her job... shes a goddess....
The spectator pumps are killer. I like them with the bare legs, too. The heavy bangle provides a nice new texture to the overall ensemble. This looks like it would be fun to wear, and it's a fun look. I like it.
i love extreme horticulture! this is way my favorite place in la is the getty center! didn't know horticulturists could be so chic.
The most exciting thing in this outfit is the bracelet. Nice shape to it!
Nice outfit, visit my blog!!
http://www.mydarlingbubu.com/
<3 the bracelet
<3 <3 the heels !
She's a horticulturist? Wow, I really need to do better! Can I blame the cold Canadian climate?
i love that she is, essentially, a gardner in such fabulous shoes - i love how the bracelet balances her out in the shapeless dress too xo
That is a slammin' look. I love the dress, the shoes, the bag, the sunglasses, the total look!
Fabulous foto, Scott!
OMG is that a leather dress??? with sequins? love, love, love.
She's fantastic!
I happen' to love this look, she's so stylish and the detailing of the dress is cool!
xx,
www.dimogonda.blogspot.com
The overall look is fun, but the dress is a little bit too shapeless.
just wondering how she can afford those chanel heels with a job like that....
Oh Amelia!...you look gorgeous!
You should should do a piece on young working women. The last few photos are great and it would be nice to see a collection of young women from around the world and how they are bringing new fashion flavor to business attire.
Thank you for sharing you work.
I like those shoes, and I think I like the bag, from what I can see...
The volumeless hair and loose dress don't quite work together, the large bracelet doesn't work for me (no contrast, just two large elements put together). And the aviators don't seem to add anything ... I guess that although I really like the individual elements of what she's doing, I'm not struck by the look as a composite.
it must be difficult to plant in such a cool outfit!
i love that she can dress up so cute and still plant rooftop gardens. also, i need that dress badly.
http://goldandcitrus.com/blogs/blog
gorgeus, the shoes make this outfit!
Love the legs, love the shoes. But that "dress" looks like she slipped on an old mulch bag and went outdoors.
It's a fresh look. I would definitely wear the black dress. Love the shoes too!
that's what i want to do! love her style. full dress with big bracelet. i would have worn flat ballets and am rethinking that. legs look long!
I can't explain why this woman's job makes her outfit more attractive. It just does.
Other than the interesting bracelet absolutely nothing going on here. Are you people looking at the same photo. Amazing shoes??? Please, at least they aren't UGG's. Hunting must be a bit slim down under.
Oh my god, I am so sorry Scott Schuman for the slim pickings that have been on the Australian streets this past few days.
Good Lord, it is embarrassing to be an AU citizen right now, I love you and all you represent, but please go home, I don't want to hurt you anymore.
bangle...dinosaur designs?
FYI: horticulturist in sydney: can't afford chanel!
Some of your photos are right on and will remain fashionable in years to come. In contrast there is this photo.
I'm loving the all the interesting people you're shooting in Australia. Keep it up!
The Heartbreak
The bracelet breaks the tone. I must say she dresses chic for the job she does! I thought of horticulturists as messy but she makes it sound cool.
Great shades, pretty girl - bag the rest.
Oh my, is that a leather dress? Coz if it is, I've gotta have one! Love her Chanel shoes too!
Such a juicy angel thang
Please come to Brisbane... or Noosa. Please?
Oh and I love the photograph, very urban work environment!
How does one go about getting into the rooftop gardening world? If I post my contact on needy rooftops across Sydney, will you find me? Please do. I'd love to know your story. so i may borrow it for myself. -a young and budding gardener in Austin, TX :)
FANTASTIC shoes
I love this outfit
Awful, frumpy, shapeless dress, but with good posture she could make it work --- i.e. stand up straight and lose the pigeon toes.
I totally dig her profession; I wish we could see some of her rooftop gardens!
The bracelet is crazy and the dress looks very interesting..
She pulls it off very well however
ForGentlemen.blogspot.com
those shoes are brilliant!
The silhouette of a dress is not often intended to be traditionally flattering. I believe a woman can be elegantly chic and sexy without her outfit clinging to her every curve. This silhouette, neckline and sleeves are so modern and youthful; and the subtle yet-in-no-way-subdued detailing is excellent.
Check out my blog. Everything is self-made

SO GREAT. LOVE LOVE LOVE

CHICMUSE
I'm very sorry to say, but for once I have to disagree: I Really don't like this look at all. Pains me to say it.
Gorgeous. That bracelet is so unique.
i adore the simplicity of her outfit--nice shoes too! she's very good looking.
Love the bracelet and the shape of the dress! They seem to play off of one another somehow.....
I kinda believe it that she does. LOVE the shoes. But to be honest, the first thing I noticed, was the dress and the first thought that came to mind was "why is she wearing a garbage bag?" So in that case, I kinda believe that she plants gardens. Sorry if too harsh! But I do she the vision for the outfit. I guess it's like what you say "it's not what you wear, it's how you wear it". (I have that quote as my moto now, by the way! Thanks Scott)
I usually skip your Sydney pics, but she is great. Especially because of the gardner lark.
Hey Sart! I like all the Sydney photos in the fun and sun, but its the holidays and I'm homesick and I need to see some of my people on Madison Ave. to know I'm still alive!!! So if you could post some of those, that'd be great :)
such a cool girl. her sunglasses are nice.
Wow. Love it - the hair, the sunnies, the dress, the shoes, and most of all, the bracelet. What a cool woman - please do a style profile on her!
I really love her shoes!
Where's her friend? the title says Horticulturalist(s). I work with plants as well and call myself a Gardener!
I think the whole look would be greatly improved if she cinched all that material in with a belt at her waist. We'd be able to appreciate the volume of the sleeves and the sequin detail.
Obviously she's going for a deconstructed look though and she's got the attitude for it but that dress just does not do it for me at all.
i do envy her!
Now we're talkin'
Just perfect!
http://syskonfashion.blogspot.com/
wheres ur shoot in melbourne?
The bracelet and the dress are wonderful!! Love the contrast black and white. She is so chic! And her shoes are lovely
Oozes style. Sassy & individual. Love the look!! Love the job!!
So incredibly chic!!
www.vintageavocado.bigcartel.com
sanmiguelense, the reason shoes are better in the northern hemisphere is that the good ones are SO expensive in Australia, something to do with hideous import duties. Gotta disagree with you on this one Scott, I quite like the dress but I think it's a case of nice dress, wrong body.
I really like this article and enjoyed reading. Nice article, love the post.
Cool dress...She looks chic!
xx
Material looks luxurious!
juliet xxx
Am trying to decide is it the angle at which she stands that makes her look like she has bad posture. Dress is cute ,but could look nices if she were to stand straight or Sart shot from a different angle.
wow i love her elegance, her simplicity
its all about her
all about how knowing to be simple & elegant
talk about elegant & simple, heres a little present for lingerie fashion lovers
http://www.vcdreams.com
That is a SERIOUS bracelet! Want her shoes.
shapeless black short shift dresses must be the rage in aus - there's another one in the background. funny how there's an indigenous style - same dress would v. different on each of a nyc or stockholm or paris or london lady. can't pin the difference tho'!
What a shame she's slouching - style is about good posture too!
where's the posture.........?!?!
Which is the showpiece?
I love how everything in her garment can either be ordinary or peculiar, just by paying a little more attention to it.
I love that! Simple, elegant things that can look extraordinary with a closer look.
Perfectly balanced. (I think)
The two-tone shoes look amazing! In fact, all of her look does.
Oh i love her dress and the shoes! adore it
GORGEOUS shoes, but I bet she has a spare pair with flat soles in her bag.
A leather dress, now that's super-innovative. Wipe clean and sexy!
yuck.
i think this look would come up a million notches if her stance was different. the dress is nice, the bangle is a fun addition...however, it's as though she's standing like she's trapped in a box.
Great pumps
www.massarocapurple.blogspot.com
what da eff!! thats like a really awesome job.
and she looks great minus the shoes.:D
Love her shoes!!
http://theycallhersilje.blogspot.com
I'm sorry, but her dress reminds me of a garbage bag. I do love her shoes and bracelet though. And her job.
kooool
http://theloanguidance.com
and you like this look for what reason?
Her profession is admirable.
I love this look, it's so chic!
http://pixiedrivein.blogspot.com/
I adore this dress! And her bracelet is lovely!
People aren't thinking this is her working wardrobe surely! Also try working outside in the cold and wet! believe me the novelty soon wears off.
lovely photos.
Not diggin the silhouette. But, she is a beautiful girl nonetheless. And, she's taking a risk, which I respect.
Very cool, though not sure about the hair. Like the dress.
http://ilikeyourhatfashion.blogspot.com
i think i'm working in the wrong country.
Who has told the girls to stand like little tiny children - with the feet like that.
It's just ridiculous! And crashs the entire look.
love your work babe! so proud you got on here! xx
I love how just because it is on the Sartorialist people love it. This woman is wearing what could be considered a faux-leather garbage bag. Just because it is well accessorized and because the woman is attractive and in nice shape doesn't make it acceptable. Trash. Trash!
i totally agree with Lozza..
Scott, sydney fashion is very diverse.. each suburb you visit has its own trend going on.. its a pity you did not visit newtown or the cross, better yet even parts of the trendy inner surburbs.. like strathfield and Homebush areas because i believe alot of trend setters are there..
But anyway beautiful photos.. and next time please diversify when you come to sydney again
I just so dig her style. it's business casual with a twist.
the contrast with 'ebony and ivory' is classic
the bracelet is to die!
love it!
thesilentswagger.blogspot.com
perfects shooes! loooooove
Amazing dress+ sunglasses.. seems to be a cool australian girl with a great job...
Would be even a better photo if she was planting something in some of her gardens :)
Love the interesting shape of the dress. It works very well on her, though I'm not sure many could pull it off.
LOVE those shoes!!!
I love her pigeon-toed posture.
Thats a wicked job.
Lovee this outfit
How interesting...you'd never guess by looking at her.
Perceptions are funny. I would have thought she worked in the fashion industry.

Cute shoes, great shades..bracelet is great..but not with that attire. Dress prob looks great with better posture and maybe a little wind for some kind of flattery other than legs. Not my favorite. beautiful girl non-the-less.
