Comments on "On the Street....Mr. Cortina, Paris"
very sexy... the hair, the shades, the cigarette - its all working!
nice frames
I love how the colors work so well together.Handsome!
http://www.sharifaknows.blogspot.com/
The Cigarette is garbage, but I love the colors!
shades work
pants work
not sure bout shirt
Very nice. Very nice indeed.
The shades, the watches, the shirt, the pants - everything works. But my favorite detail is over-the-shoulder navy blazer.
http://letsgrowuplater.blogspot.com/
pure class...minus the cigarette.
great colors, love the sunglasses too. those pants are amazing! the same goes for the shirt. anybody knows where he got it from?
i'm gonna be like this guy when i grow up.
Rocking the simplicity.
the details from head to toe are amazing, the colours work well too, i love the hint of his amazing big eyes under those shades!
I don't know. He always looks the same: same silhouette, same sleeves; I bet his pants were a little short at the ankle and he wasn't wearing socks. It looks good, but a bit unvarying. Maybe it's just a case of him knowing what suits him (which it clearly does) and sticking with it.
Yeuch cigarette. Everything else is great!!
wow, i'd take a second look at him!
something so sexy in the confidence he wears (sans cigg)
handsome and sexy with simple look. i love this guy!
♥
vindavindasonata.blogspot.com
This is the perfect length for sleeves!
I love the pants
I LOVE that shade of blue on him. :D
I'm gonna walk RIGHT THROUGH YOU!
i like the waist on the trousers...and of course the color of the shirt and its cut..nicely highlighted by the white of the buttons.
the cigarette? Mr.Schuman , why why why?
"La Terre est Bleue comme une Orange "
best regards
Uh, his very nice! Confident, strong and with that cigatette that gives him a bed boy touch!
This guy knows where he's going ...
Good-looking man, relaxed elegance - and in top shape, too.Not many men this age are so fit.
An American in Paris?
Muy caliente!! texture, colors and shape... Heating up the streets of Paris.
Good ol' George, always on form.
Cool look! Amazing how a flat-weave can change the look of a polo shirt so much - love it. I also like the detail of the turned out waistband, although it doesn't help the 'hang' of the trousers. Great shades too.
His stature is so impressive, I love how the shirt and pants both fit him snugly but very well.
Wrist watch tops it off.
I would marry him today! Awesome is just the middlename.
that shade of blue just captures my heart..!
macho macho man!!
;)

He looks very sexy (except the cig!)
It doesn't get much better than this.
Mr Cortina is truly sex-on-a-stick!
Cool guy. Is is so warm in Paris right now or just everyone is cold-resistant?
This guy would've been freezing in Paris this week!
Very nice. I like the cigarette as well. I'm not proud to say it, but it makes him look hot.
I never would have put those two colors together...but he makes it work. Very put together & confident.
Love the effort, he's put into his outfit - I would never have thought that folding over your waistband could be so chic! It's all in the details!
http://7emearrondissement.blogspot.com
I love the effort he's put into his outfit - I would never have thought that simply folding over your waistband could look so chic! It's really about the details!
http://7emearrondissement.blogspot.com
He wears a very nice dark-blue shirts and a sunglasses.!!! i love this pic!!
Oh....this Sir...
uauuuu!!!!!!!!!!!!!
super-super sexy el Sr. Cortina. Su gesto, el pelo, las gafas, la barba....
FANTASTICO.
aaahh Mr. Cortina... sexier than socks on a rooster!
the rolled up sleeves, the open neck shirt, the arms, the casual stance....tres sexy!
Great outfit.
To everyone who thinks the cigarette is "garbage": This is Paris, everyone smokes. Plus, i think the cigarette contributes greatly to this classy look.
the frame look well with his face's shape. love the simplicity. navy blue always work
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
If i have to only use one word to describe what i feel about this new one ...It is :
WHAOUUUUU !!!!!!
But let me go a little bit further :
The fact there is another personn who wears black sun glasses just behind that fabulous man is just , also....
WHAOUUU !!!!! ^^
Still have a great success Mister Great Sartorailist !
Kiss !
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
oh, I LOVE the blue of the shirt! perfect. he's so effortlessly debonair, it's enviable.
Very goooooood! ;)
AC
He is amazing! But, did he fold over his pants?
I love your blog!!
Amazing sunglasses! And the cigar complete the look!
xx
Oh Sart, after some inspirational "real people caught on the streets" shots in Australia, you're back to months-old shots of fashion folk. It's snowing in Paris (and New York) right now, please show us some stylish inspiration when most of us are "folks dressed up like Eskimos!"
Happy Holidays!
Damn! That's what I hope my husband will look like when he's at that age.
I love the this combination: blue and brown! The shirt is really beautifull!
I cannot believe smoking can still be considered fashionable. shame on you for perpetuating this lie!m (and I don't care that it's Paris and everyone smokes)
very, very cool.
isn't he cold?
Can a look be more HONEST than this?
I want his "swagger."
basic get-up, but if you are as rad looking and self assured as this fellow, you don't need any labels or "look at me" clothes!!!
Stylish and sexy man!
oh you should do a Style Profile post on him!
sexy as hell...except for the fit on the pant waistband and the gawdawfull ciggie-butt. other than that...matinee idol sexy!
It's George! You know, as once quoted, "Always with the glasses."
--Jaysen
It looks like he folded over the waistband of his pants. One can tell by looking at his left side (right side of photo).
The look is very put together with the exception of the cancerstick. Moreover, it is a look that can be duplicated at comparatively little expense with knock-offs from any number of outlets.
He looks amazing. Very hot! I love the outfit. xoxo
www.FashionSnag.com
Ooh la la.... my word... what energy, what a gorgeous man.
it's really about his enormous sex appeal much more than fashion. do you remember when you once posted the photo of a shirtless man and there was a rather heated discussion of whether beauty should be the focus of your blog or just fashion??
well, you have shown us mr. cortina wearing just a t-shirt. and while undoubtedly we could wax academic about the fact that he knows how to wear one artfully, i strongly doubt that that is what keeps drawing us (and you) to pictures of him...
He looks nice.
Muscles are the best accessory.
Now, I know it's snowing in Paris so I guess this one's from the archives.
ZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzz......
Loving the fold over, loving that shade of blue and that sleeve length...want to bite a chunk outta those fore-arms.....yum
Top look
x
Totally hot! Until you get to the cigarette....I don't care what culture or city or country you come from.
sexy, rrr!
Oh la la!!!
I´m in love.
What a sexy guy!
His style is not in the clothes, his style is a facial expression, posture, energy
What a great shot of a cool look.
Five years since I,ve touched a cigarette, and I still smoke in my dreams on occasion. I'll dream about it tonight, oh dear. I hate to admit a cigarette can set of a look. When is the Sartorialist going to visit sunny Scotland. You definitely will not being having breakfast al fresco here in December. Happy Holidays.
Have always loved folded-over waistbands. If you get them to lie right, it's like instant custom tailoring.
The cigarette bashing appears to be a case of herd dishonesty.
I wonder if they watch Cary Grant or Paul Newman movies and say "Yeuch! He's smoking!"
This man's confident casual look and muscular presence are reminiscent of the well-toned, much younger -- and much less abused -- Mickey Rourke (circa his 1986 "9 & 1/2 Weeks" film).
This shade of colour is perfect..I believe that blue is the new black! Try it!!

I don't know. He always looks the same
I agree. Mr. Cortina always looks the same. It's a sexy look, no doubt, and when I first saw his photo, I fell in love :-) , but now I am hoping for more creativity and imagination.

You are entitled to your opinion, but in my view, a cigarette adds as much class to a look as a crack pipe.
Anyone know where the shades are from? HOT.
Just perfect!
great blog - i look forward to cheecking in with the satorialist in the new year...
I think there should be a page devoted to just Mr. Cortina...
He's pure timeless, relaxed elegance and refinement: He could easily be transplanted to the 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, and never look out of place. I'm sure that there are people that would find that boring because they need the latest look, but with Mr. Cortina, I'm impressed by the person, the man-- not the fashion.
--PLO
love the colors...the sunglasses/the shirt. very handsome. super swag.
Like the shirt and glasses, but not the pants.
I don't think some of you guys commenting on the outfits not varying realize it's not just about the clothes, it's the surroundings, the way they present themselves. Think more about the photograph, not the outfit.
I love the colors. Beautiful green and blue...it's hard to match !
http://www.high-toned.fr/
Smart. Is he also an accountant?
I'm temporarily distracted from the clothes by thinking: why do I never see anyone like this walking down my local high street?
I looooove the bracelet/bands above his watch. THAT is sexy!
He´s sooo sexy, you´ve capted his essence
xoxox
This guy looks vvvery cool, in a way that is just the same style I wear, cool, thank you, amazing blog !
Come on, does everyone really feel that way about the cigarette or are you all just being politically correct?!
The colour of the shirt is exciting, the trousers look like they feel divine, his body is beautifully proportioned and the cigarete is ohh soo sexy.
Same subject, different day. Yawn.
I have a shirt like that!
Fancy business casual guy.
oooh, how i love this man.
that shade of indigo is crazy, so rich.
wow..i'm half his age probs but he's just soo hot :))) that face expression..and the shirt..ufff
MASCULINE.
http://www.lucasjonesart.blogspot.com
Nice-looking fellow, but as others noted the clothes are the same ole same ole. And the sleeves, snugger than ever, strike me as silly.
love the navy and army green combo!
xoxo,

lekisskiss.blogspot.com <-- 2 girls bloggin fashion from nyc and chicago!!!!!
i've been admiring this man since you shot him before.and im so glad that you showed more of his pictures in your book[its my bible]. i truly agree for his style sense.
very masculine, with a sexual twist.he lures you in with his persona.and everything he puts on definitely compliments to him.

"To everyone who thinks the cigarette is "garbage": This is Paris, everyone smokes. Plus, i think the cigarette contributes greatly to this classy look."
Cigarette smoking is both obnoxious and unhealthy. If you find it to be somehow "chic," either in Paris or Demoines, you're clearly a fashion victim. There was a time when "everyone" killed Jews. When "everyone" owned slaves. When "everyone" repressed women. Paris will be "chic" again when its arrogance is finally updated.
re: Mr. Cortina
He is always extraordinarily stylish in images posted here, but this is maybe the least impressive of what i've seen.
I wish i could be tone like this guy
Why is everyone wearing sunglasses in December?
I totally love this man. So hot, including the cig!!
Mr Cortina is always a pleasure to see on this site. His style is sexy and masculine, without ignorance nor slavery to trends, not to mention the canvas. It is, in essence, what I try to capture in my style.
Bravo!

who says older men aren't sexy?
I love this blue shirt!!!!!!!
it is amazing how you can dress so casual and make that huge statement... look and the Colour, the style of the shirt and the turn over pant... this is beautiful coupled with his look.. im adopting this right away....
i love navy with khaki...great sunshades also.
why isn't he cold like me?1 2 cool?
oh my absolutely ground breaking how forward PLEASE enough filler give us something to look at.
He looks great and the puritans among us need to get over the anti-smoking thing.
George:
If you're reading this, you look terrific. It's been a hundred years, but would love to hear from you.
Happy Holidays.
Marc Watrel
Ahhh George, my favourite. I need to know who makes those glasses and what the model is. Does anyone know??
Very nice. He conveys confidence.
Yummy.
No matter how bad it is for you. you cannot deny, a cigarette still makes you look cool.
The colour, the colour, the colour. By the way, I saw your book in person today for the first time and it's a must have. Wonderful! It's even better than I expected. Good for you.
it's the incredible hulk!
Everything looks fantastic - men in colours rather than the drabness of a black shirt. I absolutely love that he's wearing young clothes, shades, and I can almost smell his cologne through my Mac. Has he been a subject before? Great photo.
BTW...let him smoke, Critics. His choice.
its all in the attitude. that sport coat over the shoulder is what makes this photo for me. I wonder if its the same DB that hes been shot with before.
Wish i could master that cold hard stare! xo
http://studdedrosevintage.blogspot.com/
He is a stylist and so walking confidently down a city street is in his blood. I am sure a constrution worker in his work outfit or a famer working in the field can potray the same level of confidence.... love the cow boys series from a couple of months ago..
How can he look perfect everytime? *hearts*
He is one of the best. Always.
always wear a belt!
apart from that, it is that great shirt-glasses-tan combination that makes me almost smell his fragrance
I am sure he smells of dior homme and fine tobacco
Hi sexy :D
A very sexy guy, he makes a simple outfit look hot. But when was this shot taken? Not recently given the weather in Paris right now...
If I ignore the cancer stick then I love this man's style. His close shaved beard with the salt and pepper look is especially what does it for me.
I adore the way European men dress like adults. Simple, chic and sexy.
BTW Scott, The American Apparel adverts on your page are borderline pervy and often disgusting. Do you have any control over the images they can post on your blog?
A polo shirt tucked into the pants? Not sure about that.
Want the pants! The color of the polo is spot on.
Brilliant colour combination with the olive trousers and the shirt in a perfect shade of navy blue. I also noticed the folded waistband, interesting detail.
thats Mr. Cool right there..
Soo sexy!
impressive
Can someone please explain to me how the man can wear that outfit on Monday 21 December 2009 in Paris when the temperatures here have been freezing with ice and snow on the streets ?
WOW. He is candy for the eyes. Love it all and the cigarette just adds to his persona. An amazing specimen indeed.
I wish more men dress like this!! simple,, update of the button down shirt,,, and love the bracelet's on one arm,, as many time you shot Mr Contina he never looks overly done,, Thank you scott for showing that many men out can still have great style at any age,, and not looking like u just dropped off the wife at the local mall !!
Trying too hard.

please, enough with the cigarette theme! i think the fashion victims, as you say, are those who smoked when it was socially cool and approved, and now that the midia, mkt and so on tell you that smoking is horrible, your goal is to annoy the peolple who still enjoy a good old cigg.
let people do whatever they feel like doing, to be themselves..don´t just repeat whatever is trendy at the moment...and please, don´t compare smoking with slavery, jew´s murther and so on..it´s just ignorance.
p.s. mr cortina is a very sexy man, with or without the cigarette. he has personality!
Cool! I love politically incorrect people! A SMOKER THESE DAYS!! It's not healthy...but it's SUCH AN ATTITUDE!
www.vintageavocado.etsy.com
www.vintageavocado.bigcartel.com
Wow!!! NICE! :)
The colours are so perfect. Goes to show fashion is about an eye for style, to make "plain jane" pieces work together like butter on bread.
By the way, love your photos. It's inspired me to look out more keenly for fashion on the streets.
One word: yummy!
Oh George, George. You never fail, never. I agree that his silhouette is often similar, but I think he does manouvre around his basic silhouette a little bit. Plus, his use of fabric and colour is never the same. In essence, then, this is what we should all do: take what you know looks good on you, and twist it around a few times, but sticking to the base that always works! Genius, really.
Energie
I do not like the cigarette at all.
So just what is so special about this man ? He looks very ordinary to me
Now THAT's a man. Not these skinny Brad Pitt types, but a real man. Great looks, great clothes, great confidence, makes me want to cry.
This is Daniel Craig as 007.
yes, clearly, whilst very chic and 'together' this photo was not collected this week in paris.....he'd be dead from frost bite given the current weather
What , still shopping your closet Sart ; come on , the recession is over !
definition of cool. wow.
nycglitter.blogspot.com
To all those people bleating about the cigarette - if Sart had deliberately cropped the image so we couldn't see the cigarette, would that not be tantamount to censorship?
People make choices about how they live their lives.
Donna
Instead of this charade of why smoking kills the vibe or not, lets try and track down who's that shirt by!!
I always like to scan these comment sections for tips and hints to the quality designers being showcased in these photos... and instead its a waste of space to squabble otherwise about a petty nuance.
I want to be him. this is so the style I try to have on a daily basis.
he's so handsome.
and i didn't see your monthly feature in gq in the jan 2010 issue. hope it returns in the february one.
He just looks so cool and BADASS! I love it!
http://mushitushi.blogspot.com
Oh, LOVE that shade of navy.
thanks
i think that for men a great pair of sinewy arms is the equivalent of a woman having fabulous legs. just the best accessory there is. hes aware of this hence the rolled sleeves and watch/ bracelets which set 'em off just right
I'm wondering about the weather. Short sleeves in December in Paris?Or this picture is not taken recently? I'm readig the blog from north of Europe and I'm always paying attention to the weather on the pictures as here it always seems to be crappier weather than somewhere else =)
This man knows he has style. And it's not just about the clothes, he has attitude.
Awesome picture!!
the anti-cig thing is getting really boring now...just get used to it!
He's got it goin' on!
Uauh!!!!
Zepequeña.
I like that seems to have no belt, but interesting details, one button. And the pants fit him perfectly. I also like his white beard.
Yes. Yes. Yes. All I want for Christmas...
marry me!
So Cortina! 2 colors, minimal/casual/chic clothes and sunglasses. He's actually one of the best-dressed men around the fashion shows. Perfect!
yes thats a great combination of colors.... loves it
www.strollific.com
I personally think it's his inner sexiness and confidence that make the look, not really the outfit. Like, if you put another man in those shirt and pants it wouldn't make the same impression at all. He, however, looks stunning.
That's a beautiful shade of blue--great with the olive green pants. I hope we'll be seeing more of it in the stores the coming year?
what type of sunglasses are those ? i now know what i want for christmas
i want to tell you that i find you blog to be very refreshing!
When I look at this man, I absolutely do not see a smoker, I see a man smoking... Not the other way around... Totally adds to him and his persona... Dude is classic and timeless, not to mention completely handsome!
Tres ordinaire, and yuck, what's with the cig? So downmarket. It just makes him look even more of a bogan.
The girl behind him, in the orange jacket, looks much more interesting.
It's an ok outfit, and he wears it well. But it would be nothing special if he was less handsome.
Hotness! Very classic yet casual look. The cig has to go, though. LOL!
Oh,I think he is very cool!
Under that shirt and sexy facade, he could be 60 and have the body of an 80 year old man, but it wouldn't matter! It wouldn't matter because, he wears this outfit with confidence and a simple outfit that is worn boldness and poise.
Cortina proves again: smoking does, always has, and always will look cool.
Does anyone know who the eyewear is by? I like.
A merry christmas to you !
Your book was one of my present and it was a wonderful present !
Oh...my...God!!
Does anyone known the name of the model of the SHADES he is wearing?
Designer/model/brand whatever, please, does anybody know the name of these shades?
Love this dude, he is always looking great.
DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT KIND OF SHADES HE IS WEARING????
Anyone know what brand of sunglass Mr. Cortina is wearing? The matte finish and cut is great.

the things you mentioned cannot be compared with smoking. smoking is something you do to yourself, and not to somebody else. therefore - if you don´t smoke, kudos to you. and if others smoke - let them mind their own business.
mr. cortina is hot as hell.
sex on legs.
whuuuuuoaw
