Sart, this is not natural, it is too cold not to dress socks, look at the people behind her.. Is this part of your burberry shootings?

Blogger Teonna said ... (10:33 AM) :

As a Design Student myself. I can tell that she wants to be comfortable and stylish. She also needs tons of caffeine to keep up with herself. Great shot!

Anonymous xenia said ... (10:35 AM) :

Great shoot!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:35 AM) :

she's very stylish!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:35 AM) :

Great shoot!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:36 AM) :

She is so pretty but I'm not feeling her outfit. It's understated but not in a good way. I find it rather bland. And to be honest, it washes her pretty face out. The shoes are adorable though.

Side note: Is that a Starbucks red cup? Are they out already?!

Blogger FASHION SNAG said ... (10:39 AM) :

wow, love the pants! She is pretty and natural =)

I like how she stands out from everyone else, very simple but stylish outfit

Blogger Unknown said ... (10:43 AM) :

simple, elegant, but a touch of something 'different;' i LOVE!

Blogger Pillole Di Moda said ... (10:43 AM) :

I find the yellow/beige going on behind her much more interesting than the girl herself.

Blogger Angeles Almuna said ... (10:45 AM) :

C'est la classe classic!

Blogger The Cupcake Stand said ... (10:45 AM) :

Love this look! Casual, young, chic, and classic all at the same time! Love the jacket!

Her handbag appears to have sprouted legs.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:57 AM) :

Looks great. I know the feeling of having to carry so much stuff, each class I seem to take half a workshop with me. Love it!!!!

Anonymous Tobias Sweden said ... (10:58 AM) :

Nice shoot! It looks very autumn-ish! Not like here in Sweden :)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:59 AM) :

Simple, classic, elegant. Bravo.

Anonymous The Photodiarist said ... (11:00 AM) :

Like it. Especially the trench and the scarf.

Blogger Soren Lorensen said ... (11:02 AM) :

HAIR

yes

Blogger angelarenai said ... (11:07 AM) :

I love the movement in this shot. her hair looks like it could still be blowing in the wind. and its not so cold quite yet. and looks like she doesnt have too far to go. she isnt overly loaded down with bags. just a purse and a designtoolbox. but again my favorite thing about this shot isnt so much the outfit as it is her face, attitude, and the movement.

Blogger Unknown said ... (11:10 AM) :

I love the light in this shot - it's illuminating but at the same time casts long shadows. Is this because you took it at a certain time of day? Or is it because at this time in the year, the position of the sun in the sky has changed, and thus this type of light results? I think you made a comment about similar light when you were in Sydney..(I'm a film student and curious to know lol)

Blogger Topham Beauclerk said ... (11:13 AM) :

It's probably inappropriate to say this, but, seriously, I find her ankles very exciting, if you know what I mean. And I think you do.

Blogger Julia Bolchakova said ... (11:14 AM) :

As much as I love the unstaged casual shots this one looks uncomfortable. I don't want to be in her flats.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:16 AM) :

All those yellow pops in the background...I guess sometimes that planets just align! Perfect.

Blogger Ashley Arnold said ... (11:20 AM) :

Classic and simple. She makes a statement but not an overpowering one. I love her pants -- she doesn't need socks yet. Love her scarf.

Anonymous Carole said ... (11:24 AM) :

Great photo, but I hope it is not from today, poor girl in the cold without socks!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:43 AM) :

Wow great look, and she has natural red hair which is just SO sexy!!

Anonymous Jenna said ... (11:47 AM) :

Last night I had a dream that Mr. Schuman photographed me for The Sartorialist. I was wearing a black dress, red tights and Jimmy Choos. It was the highlight of my life. Then I woke up.

Just thought I would share.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:12 PM) :

I like that she's not wearing heels.

Blogger Ana Polar said ... (12:39 PM) :

I love trenchs and black nails! Also she seems really comfortable!

Anonymous michael said ... (12:46 PM) :

i might be alone here, but a plastic pale like that is throwing me off. call me conservative, but i think there's a lot of room for improvement.... the background is incredible though!

Blogger uhuhuhjn said ... (1:01 PM) :

sweet :0. she looks like it.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:15 PM) :

I don't like the pairing of that trench with those khakis; separately, I like them. To be honest, though, I'm far more interested in the woman on the right side of the frame--great coat, great bag, great boots. I'd rather see more of her!

Blogger Nastassia said ... (2:11 PM) :

Simple, but classic. Her hair looks awesome.

Blogger Cerré said ... (2:14 PM) :

wow. i know her!
she a very cool girl.

Blogger Jill said ... (2:18 PM) :

As a design student, I'd say she has "proportion" down. Love the rolled sleeves of the coat and the cropped pants together.

Anonymous Elaine said ... (2:44 PM) :

The contrast of her hair, and scarf, both framing her face, is very nice. Love the black nail polish. Then there's the plug for Starbucks! The photograph seems balanced with the man to her left and the woman to her right. Interesting how the blue lights are not clear on her left, but quite sharp above her head.

Blogger J. Magdalena said ... (2:45 PM) :

Love her nails. Her outfit is very age-appropriate.

Blogger Nick Leonard said ... (2:50 PM) :

I love the touch of her holding the Starbucks & her pants.

Anonymous Qui said ... (3:22 PM) :

Oh, I wish you had gotten a shot of that girl walking up on her right. SHe looks like she has an incredible style personality too.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:26 PM) :

mmm starbucks :)not a fan of her purse really. looks like a toolbox.

Blogger sdfljslkdj said ... (3:26 PM) :

Oh, the red cups are back! I won't miss out on a salted caramel hot chocolate this year! Hopefully, her Starbucks will warm her right up. I'm getting chilly just looking at her feet!

Cute and classy outfit, nonetheless.

Which shop has those yellow bags in the background?

Anonymous Holly said ... (4:22 PM) :

I vote for her comfortable attire!

Blogger Joy Mars said ... (4:29 PM) :

All the neutral tones, the length of the pants, her flats. She's seriously into a casual look.

However, not one of your better pics.

Blogger B a la Moda said ... (4:44 PM) :

She could be a model. Great classy style.

I love that the Starbucks Holiday cup season has begun!

Blogger CW said ... (5:17 PM) :

In contrast to the A student, this photo appears to be shot earlier in the day (coffee, coats, sewing kit). Even after taking those factors into account, this woman gets a B. She could bring her grade up by wearing longer pants in a shade that is more complimentary to her sweater and her trench coat. The trousers wash her out, especially with the longer shot.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:24 PM) :

I'd like to see the girl off to the right (as you're looking at the pic...not in it!!) the over the body bag with her jacket and skin color look great, but can't tell about the rest of the outfit.

Blogger ingefaer said ... (6:05 PM) :

lovely hair-
I don't think it is her "handbag" as someone said - it's probably full of her tools! Either that or she is going fishing - looks a bit like a tackle-box!

Blogger deniz said ... (6:58 PM) :

simply amazing. a very natural look... stylish, casual, classy, sweet, everything I look for in an outfit.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:00 PM) :

As an ex design student, I know how incredibly hard it is to traipse around all day with an unbelievable amount of crap and still look good! She deserves many accolades! Students and heels just don't go together... heels are for when you can afford taxis.

Blogger What Would a Nerd Wear said ... (9:23 PM) :

i love the combination of neutrals--well done!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:34 PM) :

julie houts?

Blogger Unknown said ... (10:09 PM) :

Meh.

Beautiful hair.

Great background.

Anonymous Cecylia said ... (2:40 AM) :

Oooh! What's she got in that black box?

Blogger Tannee said ... (2:44 AM) :

easy trench, nice!

Blogger Taylor said ... (3:46 AM) :

Nice... definitely some casual, comfortable design student style. And you can't forget the ArtBin!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:06 PM) :

This girl reminds me of the shot from a year or two ago of a girl who was supposed to be a makeover. Whatever happened to her?

Meanwhile, I finally decided that what I don't care for about this is the juxtaposition of the warm camel coat and cool khaki pants. The warm tones are better with her hair and skin.

Blogger Jeanine Payer Studio said ... (2:10 PM) :

I am loving the current sideways scarf look but I do wish there was some color besides the hideous starbucks cup.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:42 PM) :

Charming! Fresh, natural, developing her style and building her career. Very sweet.

beautiful hair and nails... but khaki with... slightly different shade of khaki hurts my eyes a little.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:40 AM) :

The starbucks cup - an accessory too far.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:03 PM) :

Tay, she looks like a little muppet baby that I want to cradle in my papoose.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:38 PM) :
