Good god! What an incredibly stunning woman!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:45 PM) :

great picture. she seems so glamorous without trying

Blogger Alele said ... (1:57 PM) :

Lamb sweater and red lips!
cute!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:57 PM) :

Composition is beautiful. Her lips match the red coat in the background. She looks so chic!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:02 PM) :

Nice. The season's seen a lot of layers, large proportions on small frames and mixing of masculine/femme - it's nice to see something that fits and is clearly femme without it being thigh exposing dress or skirt.

Blogger southerngentinL.A. said ... (2:02 PM) :

Damn.....

Blogger Ammu said ... (2:04 PM) :

Love it! I have the same haircut - she looks so chic without looking like she's trying terribly hard. Love the pearls with that whimsical sweater. And red lipstick - perfection.

Blogger The Fancier said ... (2:05 PM) :

How sweet! It reminds me of the mid 80's Family-Ties era look. I think I wore every version of this sweater in fifth grade.

Blogger The Glamorous Housewife said ... (2:07 PM) :

What a beautiful girl! And I love the simplicity of her outfit. And then the pop of color with the purse! Genius.

Thanks doll,

Blogger canary said ... (2:20 PM) :

A perfect and simple look...

Anonymous Hannah said ... (2:20 PM) :

Love her look - practical and stylish! This kind of photo often inspires me more than the overtly fashion-y looks, because it's so accessible and, again, practical for a student. I love the gray and yellow!

Blogger FASHION SNAG said ... (2:23 PM) :

i love this photo too! The sweater is gorgeous!

Blogger Danae said ... (2:30 PM) :

Standing out in the crowd!

Blogger Alicja said ... (2:33 PM) :

I like this jumper with sheeps (quite funny. Nice picture :)

Blogger JoyMarie said ... (2:34 PM) :

The vibrant saturated red lipstick echoes nicely against the red hue in the background. What makes this photo so nice is the dramatic red lipstick and the cavalier expression this woman wears embodying a very retro aura which is reiterated with the pearls and girlish wool sweater.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:35 PM) :

great picture and beaitiful subject!the red lips are the secret of her look! and the hair style!and the pearls!

Blogger tuleep said ... (2:36 PM) :

I thought that was Regina Spektor at first.

Love the casual elegance.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:36 PM) :

Love the sheep on her pullover!

Anonymous Elaine said ... (2:38 PM) :

She is a classic beauty. Love the combination of blue jeans, pearls, the sweater and her purse, and especially the bright red lipstick.

Anonymous margo said ... (2:43 PM) :

LOVE the red lipstick!! and then I notice the other feminine, bombshell-esque details - hair, pearls, pretty purse. but I like all this with the jeans. I think she's very successful with a modern look with vintage references.
This is such a contrast to design student #1 whose look was nice, but not imaginative.

Blogger Thomas said ... (2:43 PM) :

:)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:44 PM) :

I definly like the make-up and her hir style, but not that much the chlothes...must say.

Blogger Café Naïveté said ... (2:53 PM) :

PERFETTO, veramente veramente bellissimo!!!:)
I think I do not have to translate this:D

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:56 PM) :

I love the glamour of the makeup and the long strand of pearls combined with the whimsy of the sweater--this is wonderful! Such a great look. So nice to see people have fun with fashion.

Anonymous desertwind said ... (3:00 PM) :

Scott, I don't know if it's the light or the girl's face or the setting on your camera (it looks like film film) or what, but this photo is a real leap forward for you. Or, at least, a leap in a different direction.

It reminds me of Cindy Sherman.

Fantastic photo.

Blogger Blog Dona Ingrid said ... (3:07 PM) :

I love it the look

Blogger sdfljslkdj said ... (3:22 PM) :

Blogger Unknown said ... (3:27 PM) :

She's a modern Lady Diana in her black sheep sweater and pearls!

Blogger Shihan said ... (3:30 PM) :

Every element is spot on! Again, I want to see the shoes!

Blogger Relucent Reader said ... (3:33 PM) :

That purse is the final punctuation of that outfit. Nice shot.

Anonymous The Photodiarist said ... (3:41 PM) :

Normally, I don't like sweaters with animals or santas or elves or whatever on them, but here, I am loving the look. Maybe it's the red lipstick, hairstyle and necklace. Or maybe it's your photgraph and the way you captured the light on her face. Not sure. But I in all cases, I do like this photo quite a bit.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:48 PM) :

Oh Lumière! :o)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:50 PM) :

LOVE her

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:52 PM) :

Very timeless, both as a look and as a photo.

A question: what is that little peep of red at the junction of her neck and her left shoulder?

Blogger Brigadeiro said ... (3:56 PM) :

Her sweater's too cute, and I love the the pops of colour (bag, lipstick) to brighten the outfit up. Gorgeous photo!
xx

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:18 PM) :

LOVE her lips

Anonymous Holly said ... (4:18 PM) :

Yep an over all great look! You can't say anything bad about the subject, weather, or capture.

Blogger Joy Mars said ... (4:26 PM) :

A young heroine.

She's great, but you are an even greater photographer. I can't imagine who else could get this kind of cooperation for his lens.

Blogger Unknown said ... (4:27 PM) :

Is that Naima? Great shot.

Blogger Unknown said ... (4:32 PM) :

The lipstick and pearls really seal the deal.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:37 PM) :

I don't like the sweater.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:42 PM) :

she looks an awful like a girl who won top model back in the day (i can't remember her name)-- the one with the punk haircut.

Blogger Hardy.Originals said ... (4:42 PM) :

Could she be any more casual cool?

Blogger María D. Valderrama said ... (7:08 PM) :

Are you going to sell your books when you come to Madrid? I can't find them in any store!!

Blogger b said ... (7:08 PM) :

If I am not mistaken, this is the twin sister, Nia, of Naima Mora, winner of ANTM cycle 4, no? I believe she is a photographer.

Blogger Bookworm said ... (7:33 PM) :

I seriously want that sweater! Love it combined with the pearls.

Chick elegance.

Blogger uhuhuhjn said ... (8:19 PM) :

SHE LOOKS LIKE IT :0

Anonymous John M. Doyle said ... (8:42 PM) :

Cindy Sherman would be proud of this shot. Very much in the mode of classic American cinema, even while this young lady is quite modern. Thank you, again, for the interesting juxtaposition of images and meanings that are the hallmarks of your photographic style.

Blogger adambryant said ... (8:56 PM) :

LOVE this pic, Sart. hands-down fave of the last few weeks.

such a uniquely beautiful lady. colour sense is phenomenal. and those lips...

Anonymous kagitsune said ... (9:02 PM) :

This is more like it. My heart almost skipped a beat! She looks so modern-retro, so put-together. (The first design student looked like she'd had a bad week. >_>; ) Love it all, the dark, well-fitted jeans, the playful sweater, beads, make-up, purse... Only negative comment is that we don't get to see her shoes!! :D

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:05 PM) :

I'm struggling to see where you are coming from with this one. I love her attitude but I am not appreciating the outfit.

Blogger MeganRose said ... (9:06 PM) :

Blogger Unknown said ... (10:04 PM) :

Beautiful woman in a great photograph. Couldn't you see her singing in a smoky bar, oh about seventy years ago? Do you think she considers herself the black sheep?

The sweater is wonderful~!

Blogger Tannee said ... (2:43 AM) :

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:15 AM) :

this isn't so much about the girl or the clothes, but how you capture the light falling on them. very clean. this is a case where the photography creates glamour out of the mundane. bravo!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:00 AM) :

great...light hearted and pretty. Exactly how you'd want your best friend to look when you're meeting up for coffee and you need cheering up....

Blogger filoderba said ... (4:26 AM) :

and she is gorgeous.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:26 AM) :

She looks like the female version of Chuck from GG :P

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:37 AM) :

Take a closer look behind her hand, and you'll see the head of a 3rd white sheep, which means this sweater is telling me a story- a reference to being a black sheep! Makes me love it even more!

Blogger Nouvelle Fag said ... (7:03 AM) :

until you scroll down to the jeans you'd think this photo was taken in a different age! the sweater, the pearls, the classic beauty... simply wonderful!

Blogger Jeanette said ... (7:17 AM) :

Anonymous all-in-the-silhouette said ... (10:54 AM) :

She is amazing.

The sweater looks like a vintage one from the children's rack. Those pearls and the strong makeup balance the simplicity of the clothes.

This woman has a supreme eye for styling. One of my very favorite shots I've seen here.

Anonymous ann said ... (1:53 PM) :

Her pearls and makeup are a classic combination , fabulous when worn so casually. Well done !

Blogger Laurence John said ... (5:48 AM) :

nice, very mid 50s (except the low waist jeans). your shot too with the low angle makes her look more statuesque ... is she very tall or are you crouching a bit ?

With such face, presence and hairdo, who cares what she's wearing.

Beautiful!
