Anonymous Ishita said ... (9:59 AM) :

My Dad had the exact, same polka dotted shirt in the 70's. I should pull it out!!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:02 AM) :

I love this photo ... no heels!

Blogger Gon said ... (10:05 AM) :

the colours i've always associated when thinking of architects and architecture students are always neutral - browns, camis, etc... and well the first picture shows it ahah ;D

but love his style, very clean

love the khaki with the dark blazer!

Blogger Jorge from W Palm Beach said ... (10:18 AM) :

Sart: He's cute, but you're straight, so that's not it. All the pieces he is wearing are great, although not greatly put together. I always try to have something that will absorb light, and something that will reflect it. I would have worn a light shirt (white and navy polka dots?). Love the group picture! Jorge from WPB

Blogger Sara Katt said ... (10:21 AM) :

i love the blue and the brown together.

cute guy!

We have been seeing a lot of the black and white polka dot in NY. They really pop out from under anything and make you take notice of the overall look.

Blogger Unknown said ... (11:22 AM) :

Great picture, great style!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:24 AM) :

I dare you to go to any architecture school and not find at least a few very stylish students running around the studio.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:28 AM) :

I am truly in love with this man and his special style

Anonymous davidsl said ... (11:30 AM) :

he's a cutie! great to see smiles. he looks comfortable and put together. my bf had a very similar shirt.

Anonymous v.shirazawa said ... (11:37 AM) :

makes me proud as an archi... though I've got some friends who could rival his style :) [a friendly rivalry :)]

Anonymous wesley said ... (11:39 AM) :

the polka dot shirt is from the h&m/comme des garcons collaboration. fantastic!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:51 AM) :

Yeah, this guy is from Finland, the land of architects! :D

The shirt looks like it's Comme des Garçons for H&M.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:53 AM) :

I wonder what program they're from? I'm also an architecture student and one of my studios has done a project on this very site in Chelsea, which I just noticed is getting a high rise hotel of its very own. Interesting how the same sites get explored over and over by students in different programs. Oh and at the risk of shamelessly plugging my own field, architect style is some of the best!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:55 AM) :

Marimekko polka dot shirt, perhaps?
I love his jacket as well.

Anonymous greendress said ... (12:01 PM) :

love the diversity in NYC.
love it!
maybe they are so happy because they are all in nice, comfortable shoes.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:10 PM) :

CDG for H&M?

Blogger henrik said ... (12:34 PM) :

I would really like to see the bag! :S

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:43 PM) :

Love polka dots on a man! So few can pull it off. This one does--with aplomb! Great outfit. I love the casual look of how his hat, scarf and bag are all slightly different shades of brown. And I love the boots the blonde girl front and center in the class photo is wearing.

Blogger C A said ... (12:45 PM) :

I wouldn't like those clothes unless how he mixed everything the way he did, it's excellent. And the 2nd photo is just funny, very well Scott. ;)

Blogger Unknown said ... (5:01 PM) :

Architects are like firefighters: they are not ALL gorgeous. However, there's always at least one on every truck / in every class!

Blogger Hannah said ... (5:14 PM) :

I vote that he's Swedish.

Blogger The Bambina said ... (10:36 PM) :

I love polka dots for fall! This outfit pleases my eyes.

Anonymous Scoob said ... (11:14 PM) :

He definitely pulled off this look very well, and it suits his happy demeanor.

It also would've been really cool had the shirt been white with navy blue poka dots!

Anonymous Mei said ... (12:03 AM) :

lovely group photo. 100% natural and in the moment.

x

Anonymous Karin said ... (2:25 AM) :

Was just about to write something how extremely nordic-looking he is, and then I saw the other comments. He IS, no doubt, nordic. I like it!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:17 AM) :

I think they are definitely from Finland!

Anonymous Jona said ... (6:17 AM) :

If it's true and they're Finnish, I hope to see the guy come back soon ;D. Very adorable. He is a great example of what style should be: personal. I am sure he has a sweet and good-natured polka-dotty personality.

Blogger CRS said ... (6:50 AM) :

I have that shirt! Comme des Garcons, it's beautiful.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:20 AM) :

Blogger Ash said ... (3:14 PM) :

omyyyy this is great.
his outfit is so well put together.
(reply to one of the comments): why would you wanna wear a light colored polka dot shirt? the navy is perfect!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:16 PM) :

They are happy because architecture makes you value the life...xxx

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:28 PM) :

The second photograph reminds me of a more attractive version of "Where's Wally?": )

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:29 PM) :

Ahh architectural black, it's always a staple in my office. So much so that we named it such.

Anonymous M said ... (5:37 AM) :

I agree with two of the earlier comments - he sure does look like a swede.

Anonymous A Swede said ... (8:26 AM) :

I bet he's Swedish, Finnish or Norwegian!

Blogger Unknown said ... (8:34 AM) :

Turns out that my friend goes to school with this guy. They're from Stockholm.
