It is average at best...not average in a bad way: "just average." I don't think most people would look twice if they saw him on the street.
Yes, from the neck up, he looks disheveled, but my guess is he is the type that got this way with lots of grooming and precision in front of the mirror.
In regards to the person that said smoking is chic. Are you serious??? How does that look chic or cool in ANY way? I guess you have never been in the hospital watching someone close to you die of lung cancer.
In regards to dressing age approriately.... there is a fine line here, that can be crossed depending on the individual. I don't think anything should be set in stone. Period.

I feel his body goes in detriment of his style; he'd have it all rounded-up if he looked healthier.
You'd say this is his body constitution but you can tell it isn't because his hands and face doesn't match the rest of it.
Isn't it part of having style making all match you own nature rather than trying to match a different one?

I am with you SART. Usually, I love the buttery soft light-weight, simplistic bomber type or the heavier tech/functional type. This jacket falls so elegantly somewhere in between. Sweet!
This is a case where man makes the clothes rather than the other way around. All that jacket detail on someone less tubular would be way too much. What would you call that color leather? It reminds me of 70s-vintage jackets, and it goes so well with the blue.
Love the color and cut of the jacket! The pale blue peeking out makes a beautiful contrast to the color of his jacket....but his hair looks like he just rolled out of bed. Still, he's hot!

Ah man, lose the pocket?! No way! That's what makes this coat amazingggg. AND LIKE, the lining of his pocket looks gold or metallic. No way, gorgeous coat. Yeah, sure he's skinny...but look at the cigarette. Duhr. Focus on the cut, the small qualities people. Love it. :D

Anybody who thinks smoking is or looks cool should seek therapy.
I think the theory of the jacket is much better than the execution - it does look rather cheap. He is very skinny, not really healthy or groomed looking but the beauty of the free world is being able to disagree about what is hot.
There is a certain amount of charm - but I am not ready to drink the kool-aid.

I love this jacket, especially the buttons and the cigarette pocket on the arm, very steampunk. I'd kind of prefer it in a darker color, like sienna or black.
Maybe it's just me, but I'm into that scruffy waif-on-the-streetcorner look.
I like how there's a detailed pocket on the sleeve. It doesn't look last minute detail.
