starbucks theme in NYC these days... but it's true, most people look very cozy with their hands wrapped around a warm coffee...

Forget the kitten heels and clogs for spring. it will be the season for loafers. It's the best purchase to update the winter looks and carry them through spring. Church's has the best classic versions!
Her headband reminds me of the days when I worked at the Paramount Hotel after it first opened. Donna Karan designed the uniforms and we had the same headbands--people wanted to buy them off of us!
As for the loafers--how refreshing. Am I the only one who things that the monster heels are beginning to look a little...silly?
the loafers are to die for, i've been wanting a pair for ages!

Loafers are always great as far as I am concerned, but what really surprised me was to see one of my own(i.e. a guy's) shirt looking so cool on this young woman. A great look born out of lateral thinking / styling. Its such examples of creativity that make this blog so wonderful.
adorable! shes so cute with her coffee and outfit!

love the loafers love the headband love the dark circles under her eyes love that she looks like a model without being ridiculously skinny love the jewelry love the nail polish
Am I the only one who didn't like this style? The shoes are awful, too masculine, the headband is so 90'ies and the skirt does not go with the shirt at all.
Loved everything until I got to the shoes. The choice of flats rather than heels was great, but I just don't like the loafers. And yes, that does appear to be Chanel's Jade polish. Love the little pop of color it adds to the outfit!
really though, if she weren't gorgeous (as she truly is), this outfit would look completely hideous on anyone else, not that it is that great anyways...
I think this blog will give all shoemakers something to consider, i.e. the backlash against ridiculous heels. Women who have to walk (to and from work, at work etc.) quickly realize how crippling insanely high heels are. They don't even work on the catwalk...
Shoe lovers of the world, it looks like the flat is back. A whole generation has missed out on the beauty of the flat. Welcome back, there is room for all types of shoes (at least in my wardrobe).

The loafers are awesome, I love when a woman can take something so typically masculine and make it look so feminine. I love her play on contrast between the oversized shirt and the mini skirt, along with the choice of colors. The choice of nail polish and wrist accessories is the key to this outfit though, without those pops of color this would have been rather drab.
Such a young New Yorker. Just perfect! Loved her last look on the blog, as well. She clearly has a 'look' going for herself, short skirt, slouchy top, bright hair.
She is amazing, In each photograph I see of her she still has that effortless chic. I love the bracelets on her hand. And the way that she can pull of such a simple style/outfit and still look stunning.
She looks like she got out of bed and slung on her boyfriends shirt over the skirt from last night. Combined with loafers + Headband + daisy bracelet and coffee she is the embodiment of natural beauty. Without tons of makeup and couture to weigh her down.
First instinct: walk of shame. But minus the same since she managed to pull together such a cute outfit by throwing on a mens shirt over the dress, and borrow loafers, heels stashed in the bag for the walk home. :)
I'm not sure it's coffee--the straw tells me it's a cold drink--nevertheless, that photo is spot on with the background co-ordinating with the girl's colours to make a great photo. I also love the way her blue eyes match her nailpolish to add that touch of colour.
Bare legs and loafers? Brilliant! I love the way that masculine shoes can totally change the feel of an outfit- it can take a short skirt from being too girly and instead make it look chic. Another favourite of mine at the moment are brogues. This is a really great shot, very un-self concious and relaxed. I think I read somewhere that you use a canon 5D? I have one, and they're so amazing to work with! The clarity and detail is stunning.
Love how the texture & tone of black is matched between the headband and the skirt...... Miss Beautiful looks as if she is in the middle of filming a movie - how dynamite !!!!!!
FINALLY! Agreeing that a look is more than that it's an attitude and tired or not the true essence of the spirit carries through! Love the nail polish as well. I truly, truly, appreciate the confidence and appreciation of non "posed", carefree, this is who I am, I DONT need a pile of makeup to be feminine and I'll have my coffee to go too!

This picture shows what a difference hair makes. If she'd left it down, with such a loose top and masculine shoes, the outfit would risk looking a little sloppy/undone. But pulled way up and out of her delicate face, no distractions, she looks SO wonderfully fresh! Great shot!
She's cute but really no more extraordinary than the hundreds of twenty-something fashion girls I see in the West Village every day! Thumbs up on the return of fashionable flats—I've never embraced those clunky hoof-like platforms.

The bag may be by Boyy, but it just may as well be an old H&M bag. They did one in that style like 4 years ago. I have one in that color but with white needlework, they did with black too.
But its hard to tell which one it is based on the picture, because it doesn't show too much of the bag.
does anyone know where her loafers are from or where I can get a pair similar to hers...?

I totally love this chic! I regret not having in Poland as many fashionable people like in NYC or London. I follow your blog and I'm totally amazed because of the work you're doing.
Love the comfy-chic retro look... this is the style I was aiming for in much of college & grad school, but not sure I ever got there. :) I do wish women would drop the hunched-over, pigeon-toed posture, though--why diminish yourself? It's neither cute nor cool.

Plenty of people wear black and brown together, but it just doesn't look right to me. Nevertheless, Sart captured a great facial expression.
I'm not sure it's coffee--the straw tells me it's a cold drink--nevertheless, that photo is spot on with the background co-ordinating with the girl's colours to make a great photo.
I also love the way her blue eyes match her nailpolish to add that touch of colour.
hmmm...this one just doesn't do it for me. oh well.
I don't see the big deal about this girl. She looks awful. The only cool part of her outfit is perhaps her bag.
Bare legs and loafers? Brilliant! I love the way that masculine shoes can totally change the feel of an outfit- it can take a short skirt from being too girly and instead make it look chic. Another favourite of mine at the moment are brogues.

the color of her shirt is fabulous. nice proportions, as well.
I like the nails, and she makes loafers look cool. Other than that this is a pretty bland Saturday outfit.

The oversized shirt has become a standard these days.
Cute girl.
its a lovely simply look, as is her no make up face....i want her loafers.
Beautiful loafers and cute headband. The look is very simple and thrown-together at the last miute, in a good way
I'm stunned! Why do I never meet girls like this?
I like the outfit, it's simple, but different :)
The bag may be by Boyy, but it just may as well be an old H&M bag. They did one in that style like 4 years ago. I have one in that color but with white needlework, they did with black too.
But its hard to tell which one it is based on the picture, because it doesn't show too much of the bag.
Who makes those loafers? Nice.
...suddenly, general sway of opinion leans in favor of loafers and everyone is like: "Whoaaa... yeah, I've never really embraced high heels!"

does anyone know where her loafers are from or where I can get a pair similar to hers...?
I totally love this chic! I regret not having in Poland as many fashionable people like in NYC or London. I follow your blog and I'm totally amazed because of the work you're doing.
her nails i love!
she looks great! :)xx
She's gorgeous!!!
she is so gorgeous. i am in love with her face
Love her.
Good reminder of how I CAN wear the black miniskirt that I never think I can pull off.
I can't believe someone said she looks 40! She looks very young and very lovely. So innocent and I love that she's not trying to be sexy, but is.
nice bag and shoes! love it.
Love the comfy-chic retro look... this is the style I was aiming for in much of college & grad school, but not sure I ever got there. :) I do wish women would drop the hunched-over, pigeon-toed posture, though--why diminish yourself? It's neither cute nor cool.
absolutely adorable! i actually think it looks more LA style than NY....
She reminds me of Jessica Alba, but cooler. ;)
