Comments on "On the Street....GQ on The Bowery, NYC"
This caught my attention immediately. I want this outfit.
Love the semi-formal nature of the entire outfit, perfectly contrasted with the vintage Adidas sneakers.
Love the mixture of grays, and the pinstripe in the pants is great for the texture.
Love his style!
those shoes are classics love it
www.fashionwhatsnext.blogspot.com
gracious what great grays! love the slacks.
www.chicfeed.com
first!
Hawt!
I like him a lot...He is very handsome.
I saw you in Las Rozas (Madrid), and i´m very happy with your book.
Whaou!
Whaou!
he is gorgeous! love his pants with those adidas. :)
Minus the ciggie... HOT. Love the various shades of grey and black.
He's really cute...like the kicks.
Ha, funny seeing my boyfriend's style on another. Great shot.
Yes, please.
bland, love it, specially the pants and the gazelles.
thin laces might be better.
(this comment is just meant for fun. it's such a knit-picky thought, but i had it. and i wanna share it.)
WOW!Beautiful man bad shoes.
Wow! Swoon!
Bad foot gear however, the man is so dam handsome that the foot gear badness really doesn't matter.
Super Duper Handsome!
I like his eyes and his dimples the most
Is that a wedding band I see on his left hand? What I love about Europeans is that they stick to very classic and almost outdated trends/pieces-suede adidas sneakers being one of them. But I love that regardless, his almost unitone ensemble is so elegant and all the various shades of grey look in a sense, so clean and so fresh. And that smile...so cheeky and sexy all at the same time. Just like his outfit.
{nice}
the perfect fall ensemble... slim fitting, with the shoes adding some flair. plus, he's extremely easy on the eyes.
Very handsome man however, the foot gear is bad. Hot man can really do no wrong.
Oh my...
this is so good
good style, plus he's really cute. but married! all the good ones are :)
He is super cute and well dressed too. Why don't I see guys like that on the street....yum!
i really like this, its the perfect mix between elegance and downtown-cool. great
Looking good :)
mmmhhhhh
very god
I love his eyes..... dreamy!
GET RID OF THE SHOES MANCHILD
so cute!
http://parisianwoman.blogspot.com/
OMG, he is really cute!
Love the sneakers. When worn right, they always look awesome.
Love the green of his sneakers connecting to the his "chair" to his eye and the blacks and grey of clothing, metal ground and store front..very nice
Cute guy, but cuter if he would lose the cigarette and phone.
nice kicks, are those sambas?
hey, this is from GQ. nice~
I dig his look. I wore this look to work yesterday, minus the Adidas. Nice to know I'm doing something right. I like the storefront in the background as well.
Beutiful eyes;)
He is beautiful.
cute :) wish his shoes were more black though, right now it carries a bit of green or maybe it's just the lighting.
Dang, what a cutie. My husband sure doesn't dress like that. The shoes just set it off.
Now that is spiffy.
that smile...makes me melt. {sigh}
what? no ridiculous comments about the cigarette in this guys hand yet?.... he looks great kind of reminds of a modern day rat packer... he just needs a cocktail in the other hand.
P.S not a smoker here just lets focus on the looks and not the vice.
i love the pants w/ the shoes! so effortlessly cool!
xx

This man is obscenely handsome. Love his casual style.
Those shoes with that outfit make me as uncomfortable as he must be perched on that fire hydrant.
well he's cute and he looks like he's nice too. His clothing is elegant and fits his thin frame. I could do with a more mature, yet casual, pair of shoes tho....
Quite fantabulous, especially the pant.
handsome man with ugly shoes!
I think this fellow would be a great addition to your alternative blog: "The Naked Sartorialist".
I love American style. He's beautiful.
So simple, casual yet still elegant and stylish, love it! LOVE those sneakers!!!
xx
amazing 'regarde'. j'adore
handsome! I love his mix of texture and patterns. The sneakers are nice surprise.
Can I have his Iphone number ?
Love the look :) (and by look, I also mean eyes... I m french... )
this is so classic, charming, and perfectly American. great shot, Scott!
Hello Gorgeous! Love the Sambas with the tailored pant.
Ace pants.
Very Cute...except for the cigarette.
I love how he is business mixed with casual! He looks almost like a skater type man who dressed up for some reason. I LOVE it! I also like how his shoes are super worn in and look really used.
check out my trendy blog!
http://thetrendydwarf.blogspot.com/
Is that Etiquetta Negra? Love the all black look! Sharp.
The upper part is pretty much H&M - nothing to comment, just clean and simple.
The shoes doesnt really fit from my point of view.
First!
Love the gazelle.
Hate the cigarette.
Love his skinny pants. He´s dressed up on top, which I like, but for some reason I have a problem with sneakers...I know he´s dressing it down, but shoes like that just doesn't do it for me...snob?
So cool!!! Perfect!
Brilliant!! This is how my dream man dresses...stylish and relaxed but not sloppy. The icing on the cake is some great sneakers for dancing the night away.
that outfit sucks - even if you don't allow this comment haha.
OMG.. He's...gorgeous.... I love the shoes with the outfit. And the black socks!!
the trainers ( sneakers) sadly kill his look for me or at least those with white laces.
shoes... How bout that face!! What a babe.
uh whoa, handsome, and love the sneaks!
my boyfriend only wears those shoes in diff colors with his dress up pants. love this look!
xoxo,
F
lekisskiss.blogspot.com
those shoes are a little much... and not in a good way.. egh.
As soon as the page loaded and his pic came up my reaction was instantly 'WHOA'. Light eyes, dark hair with bits of grey.... and the best of all, Adidas Sambas (in green!) with slim cut pin stripe trousers!!! This is what I mean by Hot! and Cool! at the same time.
Really great. I love the combination between the pants and the snickers.
Best! Enjoy Barcelona!
Jose
Wow, finally a real men with style...
I am in love with a stylish charcoal man
ETIQUETA NEGRA, es la tienda en la cual este chico esta sentado, una casa de diseño masculino de argentina (L)
Uh...BABE!!!
Hot dog, he's cute! Love his look (not just his looks).
seriously? this is the best you can do? i mean, people will comment on how faaaaantastic this shot is, but really...
Lafayette, not the Bowery.
Dumpy shoes ruins what is a smart get-up.
Hot! And he has an intelligent gaze.
The shoes with the shades of grey <3
i would...
this dude is dressed like a total cheese. seriously bad. his only appeal is his sex appeal. otherwise he looks totally b & t.
elegant and unpretentious
I love Adidas...but they just ruined the look for me:-(
I don't know... I find the look a little too premeditated, a little too image-conscious.
He's an adorable man. Love the background of the mannequins in the store window. Do NOT like seeing the cigarette.
I wish every man in New York city would dress like this.. the world would be a better place
And he is all mine! :-)
And he is all mine!!! ;-)
I could just keep looking at him!!!
Casual yet still cool. I like it.
http://mushitushi.blogspot.com
He's so hot. Such smoldering eyes;)
http://sharifaknows.blogspot.com/
He's pretty gorgeous, until I saw the cigarette. But it's Europe.
Super cute mix again. He looks warm from inside out. Fall in love with his eyes and want to give him a big hug.
everything is perfect.
Pablo Marucco from Etiqueta Negra. Every company needs a Pablo. Nice, pretty AND stylish! Damn those Brazilians, they really do have it all! Everyone should try to stop into the store; the product has a great Euro slickness with an American sensibility (and Pablo is there all the time!)
I thought this blog was about fashion. Beautiful can wear a garbage bag and look good doing it.
Nice! Adidas Originals beat all.
Well technically he's on Lafayette Street but suppose it's right on the border of Soho and The Bowery. A keen eye can spot the Supreme skate shop in the reflection.
Those shoes need some scuffing up!
Wow! He's totally hot!

Please export men with his style to Chicago...now.
Just found my next ex husband.
Cute guy, but eh...

The Sambas really tie everything together for me. I remember wearing them for indoor soccer all the time. Love it.
will he marry me?
i swear ive seen thing picture on this site before! such a nice use of gray and black, it brings out his eyes.
Cute. He'd be a lot cuter without the cigarette.
Oh, perfect image and his "angel"...
Oh,beautiful....
the kinda' guy everyone says "hi" to :)
love the face...not the shoes.
oh, he's cute minus the cigarrete
these comments are hilarious... and I can't disagree! I do wonder how the shoes look when he stands up, though, and if he get a break at all. Would like to see how this style holds up to movement.
Omg I'd say Simple but very cool...without effort classy greay with laid back attitude....
so naturAL DAMN LOVE IT
I'm pretty sure that's lafayette not Bowery
Yeah, but did you get his number.
Oh so cute. This reminds me why guys in New York City can be so delectable....lose the cig tho;)
sexi
fashiontadpole.blogspot.com
He's cute except I wish he didn't smoke. I don't care what anyone says, smoking is never chic or cool or whatever...he is a babe though.
* s l u r p *
have to say I don't like this. the black shirt and pinstripe feel really contrived here.
LOVE LOVE his outfit. The shoes add the right amount of individualism.
I ADORE grey in every shade anyway!
He's got an irresistable smile and a gorgeous face.....
Oh yeah er about the background - nice contrast with the stiff mannequins and textures.
perfect! the shoes seem right here (not often the case with others!)
Oh my!
Replace the sneakers with some well aged beeswax desert boots, throw some cuffs on the pants, recolor them a shade of blue, make the sweater a shade of gray, eliminate the shirt, throw on some vintage vaurnets... and you have my style.
i.e. more of a northern european, or californian take on his urban appearance
great style and sexy smile ;) something about the pinstripes and charcoal sweater that just works in a very stylish understated way....
i want him, cigarette and all.
Trainers with trousers?
EVERYTHING IS PERFECT? BUT THE SHOES
!!
very nice outfit! grey and black... nice adidas too! (love the golden soles.) super handsome man.
vindavindasonata.blogspot.com
what shoes are those? like sambas, 'cept not...
He is sitting in front of Etiqueta Negra great argentinian label which belogs to a famous polo player!
He could be one of the shop assistants...in buenos aires they had the same style...and they were very handsome too!
www.etiquetanegra.us
that's the label I told u!!!
I'm from italy...I saw their shops only in south america
...I'm sorry
there's also in soho NY
He's Pablo Marucco. He works for the label in NY ...I red it on the web site :)
Nice outfit let down by a pair of rubbish kicks.
www.openzedoor.blogspot.com
Beautiful man, pants, colors.
I juste think thoses shoes dont't pass here..
But very "charmant" anyway!
He is very sweet and classy.
I loved the pants, the shoes and the ring.
I'd like to meet him some day:))
he is so handsome!
i think i have a crush on him!
sorry melvin I saw your post now :/
Hi Scott,
I've just bought some copies of your book as xmas presents for my best friends....great, great work!!! I just lov'it!
Tania, Milan
Pablo is not Brazilian, but Argentinian.
And it's funny, because all Argies use that type of shoes all the time!
Its all about how handsome he is....the outfit..ok...the man..priceless!
judging from the way he looks, i'd say he's a great guy!
Nice shoes!
Standard - Purchased at Next I assume
I love adidas trainers, but not in this combination. And the rest of the outfit is to me a bit boring (and I'm being accused of being boring stylewise myself!).
The adidas is not Samba, and not Gazelle. I'm quite sure that's a pair of Special. I do have those in blue...
Caramba!
Great style.
The Heartbreak
Love his style...so classically American. The scruffy look with short hair is sooo sexy.
Hate the cigarette.
Looks great!... except for the cigarette...
If his marriage doesn't work out, I'll take him.
like it .... a lot!!!!
that isn't the bowery, it's lafayette street. but GQ readers not in new york wouldn't know the diff.
Love everything except the cigarette!
I don't mean to offend, but Schuman, you seem to be getting real lazy or at the very least playing the safe card with taking pictures of fashionable men. I'm unsure if whether it's because as winter approaches, the color scheme seems to hit a more monochromatic feel and the outfits are positioned with the ordinary coat instead of using well adverse layering with proper combination towards shades of color.
This look is a perfect example of what's wrong. Though stylish it doesn't really speak towards anything innovating except for a different outtake towards business casual. The different tones of gray is nice as is the fit, but compared to some of your previous pictures, this one isn't worth mentioning.
I'm only pointing this out because I love it whenever I see pictures of men's wardrobe breaking new heights as it is more uncommon for a man to take care in his appearance and wardrobe than a woman. Plus there isn more of a limit towards men's fashion, of course that's not always a bad thing as it does help men pay more attention to detail, but still.
Thanks!
I fall in love with him.
sexy!
This outfit sucks Scott, and I'm not quite sure why it's on here. I mean, at very best it's basic (grey pants, sweater, blah!). And then the shoes just kill it. I'm actually surprised by how bad this is.
Energie
Yum, except for the cigarette.
this isn't on the bowery...its at that argentine store on lafayette...
OMG,he's cute!!! This guy could get away with wearing ANYTHING. Thank you for making my day a little brighter....
For sure this guy did not have to hold a cigarette to complete the look.
www.FashionTalk.tv
Hot!!!
The combination does not work for me....i like his grey sweater, the combination with that black shirt speaks of style. The seemingly flat front pine-striped trousers are a very good choice indeed...if only he chose a different pair of shoes. The sole colour does not match any other item of his cloth.
Given the soles would be black, i´ll score it a ten...right now it is not more than a 4.
looking good all the way down and then those shoes just spoil it. far too clunky for an otherwise very refined look.
swoon! the smile is makes the outfit so nice!
Respnding to Mitch above re the cigarette: you say to focus on the style, not the vice. Seems to me that the cigarette is very much part of this guy's style. I wish our beloved Sartorialist would stop elevating smoking in this way--every time he posts a photo like this, on a blog devoted completely to style, he's saying that holding a cigarette is stylish. Does he post photos of people picking their noses while wearing beautiful gray clothes?
Gray clothes, gray lungs! Is that outrageous enough for ya?
oh god, he's gorgeous!
Uau! Que homem magnífico! E que visual! Perfect!
Just Simple ! Just Perfect ! Just Waw !
I think he's cute because that smiles completes the outfit. Can I grab a smoke break with you?
The look would be perfect if the cigarette were gone... otherwise he's a nicely dressed handsome man.
It's obviously not the mainstream view but...I don't know...sneakers not meant for actual sportsplay are the equivalent of suits never worn out or a bottle of wine never enjoyed. It just seems like a half measure, even when obviously choosen with great care to detail. It's a philosophical point, nothing to do with this guy who wears them well. Maybe it's just that the whole interest in old-style sneakers seems long past its prime.
I think you can thank (or blame) Marc Jacobs for this one. I've stood in front of the mirror with this look, but good sense (as in sensible shoes) always prevails. Still, if you are wearing vintage wool plaid pants, a light colored button up, are in your late teens or early twenties, and ride skateboards, then maybe...
He used to work for Diesel He works for Prada now. He is HOT!
Wow. I wish more men would dress like this...swap out the shoes for some converse and I'm completely sold. Definitely would make me stop on the street and stare.
not only stylish, but very very tremendously cute!
and actually, you know what? i'm gonna print this shot to put it on my main inspiration wall.
i'm surprised a look so generic inspires any kind of comment at all - the best thing about this is his head. the rest of the outfit is pre-set safe and the trainers just jar for me in terms of colour and texture. could try harder.
This guy is like a "celebrity" in Soho. Everybody knows him, that doesn't mean he has style
Now, that is one hunka, hunka burnin loooooooooooooooove! Shazam! What wonderful eyes!!! Too young for me but I sure do loooove to look!
Be still my heart.
I just saw him at Etiqueta Negra! That picture was taken outside the store. I love aregentine STYLE
the shoes are adidas campus i think
He's very handsome. Shame about the shoes. the sweater and shirt fit well though!
Very cute! I wish he would break for the occasional cigarette though..

http://asliceofretailheaven.wordpress.com
I like his version of "business casual" (as someone above called it), but can't help wondering how the outfit would look with a different pair of shoes, for a more mature look. This young man is adorable, though, and his choice of shoe is perfect to enhance his youthful charm.
P.S. What colorful thing is he sitting on?
