He could be wearing a sack and he'd look good. The whole knee showing is a good look.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:34 PM) :

the curse of the skinny jeans strikes again! how many seconds until he had to hike them up again? :)

Blogger Unknown said ... (7:37 PM) :

so HOT! love his hair, cuffed skinny jeans and he even makes the ugly shoes work!

Blogger Unknown said ... (7:39 PM) :

I like this.. the outfit really comes together in a nonchalant, laid back, punk kind of way.

I love the details in the photo too... the graffiti adds a nice touch. Great lighting.

I really like those shoes.. definitely non-conformist.. I want them.

Blogger The Bambina said ... (8:04 PM) :

I feel like he's from a movie beacause he seems so richly in character and beautiful.
Also, I like your style of "reporting" in that you post an obviously interesting picture, with no objective comment and let the readers draw conclusions. It puts your work in the spotlight.

What a gorgeous man! Great shot, and gotta love a man who wears espadrilles. Wonder what size shoe he wears because he looks like he has big feet (as do I)and most espadrilles run to the smaller sizes. I'll even overlook the enormous hole in the jeans knee.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:14 PM) :

What a great look! Love the jeans.

Torn jeans, but preppy torn jeans. Kind of defeats any rebellious message of the torn jeans and just makes it a bland fashion.

Blogger the nickel fit said ... (11:20 PM) :

Agree with Anon about excessive display of jean hiking everywhere.

However, he's smart (or oblivious) enough to use slim cuffs, and candid enough to not spoil this great look with accessories, save bike.

Anonymous Fashion As a 2nd Language said ... (12:01 AM) :

Cheekbones like this can get away with almost anything! That said, the whole look is surprisingly chic, from the nice side part in his hair to the slightly-worn espadrilles. And who doesn't love an old-skool bike?

Blogger fig said ... (12:02 AM) :

Was I the one who posted ripped jeans look passe'? Forget about it, this kid just reinvigorated the look. He's casually confident and the setting is top notch.

Anonymous Emma said ... (2:04 AM) :

I love how he looks like a real person. He isn't (doesn't look like, rather) someone who works in fashion. He's just a guy who happens to know whats going on with clothes.

A fantastic look, love everything about it, especially the shoes.

About those shoes... I think they are Tom's and every time you buy a pair of shoes he donates a pair for free to a child in need. In developing countries walking is the main mode of transportation and most kids go barefoot. They risk injury, disease, are not allowed in school barfoot, and perhaps any future livelihood they may have without shoes.

Please if you want this look help a child, buy your shoes at Tom's. FYI, I have no affiliation with Tom's whatsoever, nor have I ever. I am just charitable.

Blogger Sarah J. MacManus said ... (10:42 AM) :

With those ripped jeans and weird flats, he needs messier hair. Just looks a tad TOO contrived. The shirt is boring. The ensemble just ain't doing it for me. Nice looking kid, though.

This handsome young man is the right age to wear artfully ripped jeans. Several years ago I bought a (less revealing) pair on sale, wore them once, and realized that I looked pathetic rather tan hip in such youthful garb. I then donated them to charity, hoping that Goodwill Industries had some fashion-forward customers!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:53 PM) :

His shoes are alpargatas, as a couple of people have previously mentioned. The founder of Toms got his "idea" for the shoes from visiting Argentina and deciding to market them. They are traditional Argentine shoes (worn by gauchos) and quite inexpensive. They are also very popular in Argentina (for both males and females). I personally love them, but the ones with a jute sole don't hold up too well. There are also alpargatas with rubber soles that last longer...Just wanted to put in my two cents :)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:16 PM) :

beautiful. but he knows it, which takes away from the whole feel.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:11 PM) :

If I ever wear those shoes someone shoot me.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:44 PM) :

These shoes originate from centuries ago, from the country folks in the Pyrenees which separate Spain from France, thus their presence in the mediteranean area and South Am. (many Basques emigrated to Argentina for ex. as sheephearders).

It's something I noticed travelling to Milan and Reggio Emilia : guys here can get along with outrageously detailed and sophisticated looks, prepped to the most effeminate detail (like a diamond in the ear) without being ridiculous one second. oh hot damn. introduce me? :) we even have matching espadrilles!

We would be perfect together, I can assure you.

Your blog is magnificent, awe inspiring, and I would love to travel around the world like you to meet great people! (although I'd make sure try to offset my carbon emissions because I'd feel a burden on my soul if I didn't).

Merry Christmas!
