Comments on "On the Street.... Franca Sozzani, Milan & Paris"
amazing. are you going to do a book tour of australia?
I like the fact that the pic isn't one where she's posing. And I like the skirt.
goddess
Definition of style.. a woman that really stands out from the crowd.. speaks low.. a small explosion.
wow, old fashion

charming, as always.

She is lovely as always.
This is my first ever comment, though I have been reading your blog almost since it started!
As a young artist, your site is always dependable for inspiration.
Thank you Scott!

she IS beautiful
what a witchy wonderful woman!
she is my new role model. in my 50's, i am always back and forth with what to do with my mid-back length hair. i don't *want* to cut it and have some easy-care middle-aged "do". yuk!
i'm going to keep growing it! thank you for the inspiration!
i love her hair!
so classic - especially with those glasses.
ageless!
oh what an interesting dress..I like!

Went to your book signing today at Madrid it was very nice to meet you and Garancé, I hope this visit won´t be your last.
Love your blog!!

Such a gorgous lady, love her in all black
What an effortless chic style! She looks amazing.
Let's grow up later
Tres jolie
Franca Sozzani inspires me to grow my hair as well. She seems always so optimistic and bright in the pictures taken of her.. definately my favourite person of all the industry people judging by the images!
Love her happy expression and the feminine details--the earrings, the little ties on the delicate pumps, and the soft pleated skirt. I wish I could make out more of the cut of the top of the dress.
P. S. The guy behind her looking straight into the camera makes his own contribution to the photo and to the situation with his amused, engaged expression and green shirt.
You can tell when someone truly enjoys clothes and loves what they're wearing. She is all this, but has an air of modesty. It's a deathly combination.
Kind of reminds me of Sarah Jessica Parker's style...
Pretty sure I've seen her on a street style blog before, very cool woman indeed. I like her glasses a lot here.
She looks lovely. Great courage to wear such long hair. It's very pretty.
I think she looks great, very classy. I really hope I can still carry my hair like that when I'm her age.

Interesting pleated skirt!!
i love the great texture of the dress.
I love her wind blown hair matched with a nice a sweet navy blue ensemble. Her silver shoes cuts the darkness of the skirt. Very inspiring!

Was he looking at you or Franca?

thanks for reinforcing the beauty of older women- and she rocks that hair.
Viva Fraca!! it's imposible don't love her;-)
I love the skirt best
It's Carrie a few years later!!!
To me the perfect combination of chique and elegance. Absolutely ageless style.
What a cool and gorgeous lady!
Very Prada-esque! I love the unadulterated joy of fashion that comes through. The chap in green certainly adds something to the photo's composition. She is unaware of him but he is integral to the shot.
Well done, as always Scott.
AMAZING hair!

she's is the director of Vogue Italia.
I'm so glad Lennon glasses are back. :)
This lady knows how to put together simple items and create an incredible look that no one else can achieve. I would like to know how she does it.. as I contemplate the fate of my pleated black skirt that has not seen the light of day in almost 5 years..
what a woman...divine!
its amazing the way the picture makes her look so elegant and strong. well i bet she is.
love love loveeee that LBD. so perfect paired with that chandelier earrings! and the shoes are great! creme shoes are so in right now. plus, her beautiful hair reminds me of mermaids... :)
Ok, quick question, I might be wrong, but isn't that CARLA Sozzani of Italian Vogue and not France (her sister). I think Franca has straight hair.
She has beautiful hair. Cute shoes!
la donna in gamba!
Beautiful! I ADORE her black outfit with the neutral shoes. The textures even of her hair and details are gorgeous.
Only thing is would love to see her in a different pair of glasses. Feel those are too harsh for her face and delicate colouring.
she's amazing!!! and inspiring too
I'm going to cut my hair today.Notwithstanding the hair she's so charming!
Totally cool and normal that she just carries her wallet and phone around in her hand (I do the same but drop them).
It relaxes an otherwise really sophisticated and textured look. And those shoes are so divine and delicate and unexpected with the outfit.
Ah! Style and confidence, the best combination. She looks comfortable in her own skin.
Love this site..thank you so much!
I like everything from the neck down in this pic. This woman has beautiful hair...clearly her pride and joy.. yet doesn't this length harden her features just a tad?
From another 50s specialist.
She looks like an effortlessly stylish, perfectly accessorised mummy. Like a modern, magazine controlling version of the ones in the Natural History Museum.
beg to differ on the choice of shoes and glasses as someone above has also pointed out, but the dress is slightly interesting...
p r i m a r y c o l o u r s
So confident; love her shoes and glasses.
Maybe it's her hair, or how chic she is... but she reminds me so much of Sarah Jessica Parker's character Carrie Bradshaw. Love it!
She could use a haircut. I mean, it's amazing, but way too long for her age.
lovely lady.
that's what I love about Italy. you can meetthe most beautiful women in the world there, but also those who think they are, but in fact are only a clone to mrs versace.
I saw her in NYC this week on my way home, she truly is effortlessly stylish.
she is like a wine)
wow, her hair is certainly inspiring. She always manages to look so chic and feminine, she's got a great eye for delicate details. Franca's looks are always awesome.
I just loved it, loved it and love it:perfect outfit.
i love the seemingly knowing smile of the gentleman in the background...
