i think this is the first picture on this blog that i do not like stylewise. i think it is the sheer pantyhose, she should have worn this outfit when it was warmer or just change into closed pumps. Nude hosiery and sandals don't mix well. It just puts me off immensely! I would lose the earrings as well. But red is really her color..

Beautiful woman...but I find her look to be too "done"...great pieces, fab shoes, but the hair/earrings/glasses combo is a bit cliche.
I've looked at this a few times and I have to say that I loved it initially but on second look I'm not loving the bag or the earrings. It's too much with the red, the shoes, the hair. I just returned to North America from Europe and although I love, love, love the feast for the eyes that is Europe, I often wish that women with this much money would edit out at least one thing from each look. For me, with the full hair, the large sunglasses, etc. there's too much here. The coat and the shoes alone would be perfect, without the glasses and with a more subtle bag. In that case the earrings could stay. Probably I would like this were it just the shoes and jacket. They're both stunning (so much so that I desperately want to copy them); no need to distract from their impact with the other items.
I like that she is wearing stockings, I feel that we have lost that with today's woman, but here it adds a nice finish.

I must weigh in on the hose and open sandal problem. Everyone has said the woman's legs look especially great. And they do! And everyone loves the shoes. But of course the reason her legs look so great is because she has on--gasp--a very good quality nude sheer pantyhose. Her dilemma (and ours) is to wear the great shoes without hose, and perhaps have the legs look not so great (and maybe cold to boot), or wear the hose but not the great shoes. You decide. . .

Why do you say nylons are a no-no? I think you misunderstood some commentators here. Some people, myself included, do not like nylons with sandals, despite the recent trend. My “rule of thumb” is: if it’s warm enough for sandals, leave nylons at home. Nylons with closed-toe shoes (pumps) look great, imo. I mean, when it’s under 60F (less than 15C) degrees, would you really go outside with bare legs? I doubt it.
