Love the touch of fur - glam but not too much...it would be even better if it was fake! The shot is lovely as well, it just oozes NYC!

Killer accessories- leather bag, fur stole and snake-skin peep-toes

Blogger M said ... (10:00 PM) :

West Side chic... I always feel bad in the mornings when I walk my dog wearing jeans and tee, and have to face all the well-dressed people who are always around over there even dirt early in the AM! :)

Love love love perfect. the green of the pants, the leather! the fur! A beautiful look. Very close to what I aim for on a daily basis.

Anonymous Singapore Short Stories said ... (11:40 PM) :

The woman in the photo has a sense of aura which is really cool!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:42 PM) :

that bag is Hermes...

Blogger Joy Mars said ... (11:46 PM) :

Many different influences here. I think the bag is the star -- its gold strap (which just happens to match the taxis) -- but only because she looks so good with everything else.

It's a relief not to see platform shoes for a change. Looks authentic.

Who makes the bag?

Anonymous Holly said ... (12:04 AM) :

Been wondering when the fur would come into play...I love the way she has put all the pieces together!

Blogger Hannah Stephenson said ... (12:06 AM) :

I like the oddness of this--she is quirky but also elegant!

Blogger Niki said ... (12:17 AM) :

Blogger X said ... (12:22 AM) :

Beautiful color palette. The fur stole makes the outfit.

Anonymous TANIA&TANYA said ... (12:50 AM) :

It might be the 'same' outfit as do the others. Many many others. Those who at least read cosmopolitan. All these green-must-does, big pants etc.
But all that is style - that is fur here.
(p.s. THOUGH WE ARE PERSONALLY AGAINST FURS), but here it looks as a personal touch. That makes all standard things play in new light.
Style is not a wearing fashion, but being NOT wearing it.It is creation. Because only creation gives that personal hint that is style.
Best,
TANIA&tANYA

Blogger Ammu said ... (3:44 AM) :

Love it - such a strong look, without seeming fussy in the least. Love her bag - and her red lips. Gorgeous.

Blogger Anastasia said ... (4:38 AM) :

Great bag! how come I never saw such beautifully dressed people during my 2wks in Manhattan?? most of the girls wore skinny jeans or black tights (yawn...) and gladiator sandals...reminded me of Sydney last summer - i was dissapointed!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:44 AM) :

The bag is Hermès

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:58 AM) :

Blogger Jack Daniel said ... (7:14 AM) :

I'd go down on my knee for this lady.

Blogger Brummagem Joe said ... (8:22 AM) :

The sort of everyday elegance one sees all the time in NYC (also Paris, Rome and Milan).....it really is a pleasure to wander around and see all these female fashion plates......the guys have some work to do to catch up but even there you see some outstanding examples.....we're actually coming into the best season for people watching with the layered looks of fall and this young lady's autumnal palette hits just the right note

Anonymous Noémie K said ... (8:31 AM) :

wow*
this style is stunning !
gorgeous*
pic inspiring*
thx

Blogger Jorge from W Palm Beach said ... (8:43 AM) :

Can't believe no one has answered, but the bag is Hermes, of course. I will focus on the bag, as I am a leather-goods guy. It is refreshing to see well-worn, well-loved Hermes, all you see in the Palm Beaches are new, crisp bags, and you always wonder where they go once they lose their "newness". I personally prefer to see a little patina on leather, like an old LV or an old Kelly- you do get a glimpse of those in vintage stores around these parts. I have always thought, when you buy Hermes, LV, Churchs, even some Prada, you buy for life! Jorge from WPB

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:43 AM) :

Great urban clothes - but is that really Hudson Str? It's looking broader and cleaner than it did in 2007...

Anonymous Katy McDevitt said ... (8:50 AM) :

This is very schizophrenic, to me. Gorgeous bag, interesting furry asymmetry, then unflattering pants and shoes that don't work with them. Overall, not feeling the love for this.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:51 AM) :

I love the color combination. Those trousers are fantastic.

Blogger joshylola said ... (9:24 AM) :

Nice trousers!beautiful colors mix

Blogger Vitrinen said ... (9:27 AM) :

I like the fur collar/trim-thing. It renders the look something exclusive yet vintage-ish, not to define. And that is great:-)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:39 AM) :

this was Prada look. ok,nice. but why such and identical copy of how the fur is hanging? a personal interpretation is sometimes better ;-)

Anonymous Emilie said ... (9:40 AM) :

She has such a relaxed elegance about her. Such a sophisticated palette and love any outfit that plays with texture!

Blogger Stephanie said ... (9:41 AM) :

the fur is fake, it's a 9.99 collar from h&m

Blogger DENNI said ... (10:35 AM) :

LOVED THAT FUR. YOUR SHOTS ARE GREAT.

Blogger Michael Limaco said ... (11:44 AM) :

What a perfect outfit!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:08 PM) :

is this louise black from project runway?

Blogger Dannie said ... (1:27 PM) :

ppllllleeeeaaassseee dont be real fur!

Blogger Couture Coco said ... (1:35 PM) :

Unique and oh so stylish - LOVE, LOVE, LOVE everything, the hair, lips, simple sweater and pants totally transformed by the 'fur' (wow she's so confiden about draping it sooo casually), shoes and Hermes bag - saw this the other day on a (lucky) woman and couldn't take my eyes off it!
Thank you!

Blogger Jon said ... (2:22 PM) :

i find it interesting that this woman from NY is giving off that same kind of energy/attitude much like the woman from the previous post from Paris..

then again, maybe women all over try to give off that strong, mysterious vibe? it just seems that they could be so interchangeable, stylewise. maybe it's just me...

Anonymous Roth and Ko. said ... (2:50 PM) :

I love everything about her. Classy and eccentric, but neither excessively so. I don't know what it is. I want to hate that matted fur thing, but instead it enhances her entire je ne sais quoi. Marvelous.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:33 PM) :

Long live ladies´ shoes, no hooves here!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:44 PM) :

Ha! Jen and Brady both on this website within the same month!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:01 PM) :

Her expression is lovely, I'm not crazy about the pants or the ratty fur though.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:37 PM) :

I would like that bag...in black...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:46 PM) :

i'm in love with the bag. its so gorgeous

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:11 PM) :

yes the bag is the Hermes Evelyne! i love this bag as well. it is chic, elegant, and timeless, a bag for life!

nicely done....

Blogger Unknown said ... (4:10 AM) :

I think the pants fit well, actually. And I like the neutral tones which are grounded by the darker hue of the pants.

In fact, all of the above looks on the women are old school, urban ready-to-wear glam.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:26 AM) :

I have this bag in red. I loooovvvee itt!!!

Anonymous loulou elizabeth said ... (5:53 AM) :

OMG amazing. love everything about this outfit. effortlessly chic. not my personal style but she looks great
the cut of the trousers wrks so well amd the snakeskin shoes and the neutral tones of the sweater soften this look without tryint too hard. I LOVE IT

ps. SICK BAG

Anonymous sisups said ... (5:16 PM) :

It's Jen again! Such a stylish gal. And I just knew the fur was fake. What I want to know is, who makes the sweater/top she is wearing? Love it all.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:36 PM) :
