On the Street.....Earth tones & Sunshine, Milano

I love how simple this outfit is, and yet it's so chic. Her bag, the shades of color in her skirt and sweater, the cut of the v neck - it's all of the little details that make this so special.

She's caught the secret of simplicity, love it. Truly how I try to create my style, with a few simple pieces that together make out a great total impression.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:48 PM) :

Actually, I think the beautiful girl is what makes the outfit special!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:49 PM) :

Wait-what was the comment about Somerset Maugham? He's one of my favorite writers--did he wear torture shoes or something?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:50 PM) :

I think italians do that best (viz. Scott's remarks). i' m italian and i do nothing but criticizing my land and people etc..i guess you grow out of that...but anyway a little praise goes to this particular ability of being chic by means of very discrete (sartorial) details...

Blogger Margo said ... (6:00 PM) :

simplicity is the name of the game

Blogger Unknown said ... (6:42 PM) :

she is physically so beautiful, this makes the outfit attractive.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:47 AM) :

soft, earthy, captured the warm side of Autunm in this photograph. Lovely.

Blogger Susie said ... (6:17 AM) :

To me this is perfect. So many people that you photograph try to hard to look good. This seems totally unstudied and its so nice.

The colors, the bag, the sandals, her bracelet, sunglasses, hair. All just right.

Blogger Ashley said ... (7:16 AM) :

I always say this..but I love how you really admire the small details and how they contribute to the outfit as a whole.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:26 AM) :

Very nice. No cell phone, no cigarette, no stilettos. Perfect!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:02 AM) :

That's right, ladies and germs. As Leonardo Da Vinci said - Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication. She is the kind of lady your mamma would be proud of. Bellissima. Ciao bella.

Blogger Gülben said ... (10:12 AM) :

i wish she had high heels

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:13 PM) :

Her clothing is simple and casual but I bet it's all quality stuff. Especially that bag - to die for. Love the neutrals, short skirt under long but not bulky sweater, would love to see the necklace, like the shoes that fade into her feet, and she looks comfortable. Proportions are perfect.

Anonymous Emily said ... (12:45 PM) :

You're spot-on about the outfit, but my favourite part of the shot is how the light doesn't just hit her, it illuminates her. It catches the chains on her bag and the colours in her hair and kind of wraps her in a glow that you can't get any other way. Perfect.

Blogger Unknown said ... (12:53 PM) :

I love the simplicity in this outfit, and yet it's so stylish. The combination is risky, this kind of shorts with this kind of sandals, but she gets away with it. And how!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:21 PM) :

Scott, you left out the most important part...she is the subtle detail in the outfit as well as the highlight of it all.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:39 PM) :

the sweater looks just like the one i own from the gap! i believe it's called the boyfriend sweater. i have it in the same color, i'd know it's bagginess anywhere :D

sandals from zara, sweater from the gap . . . this lady is looking very nice for very little!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:47 PM) :

Yes! This is BEAUTY! Finally a picture of a beautiful women wearing sensible shoes ! Now I know, I am not the only fashionista who refuses to jump on the stiletto, crazy-high- platform bandwagon that seem to be made to make women uncomfortable and possibly break ankles as well.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:48 PM) :

Ah... to be a golden ray of sunshine and caress her lovely tresses. Or be reincarnated as that bicycle stand.

Pietro

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:36 AM) :

The bag is a Loewe bag! It's exactly a new version of the Amazona classic by Stuart Vevers. I love it!
Great outfit!

The glasses are a nice accessory to the whole look, they add potential; a nice spark. The gray sweater look makes a charming touch. The necklace and watch are lovely too. The skirt is cute , great fitting and hot what is there left to say?? The shoes are like gladiators very comfy and elegant! Bravo! A+
