What a lovely young woman! The wind blowing her hair is a great effect. Interesting small pink and gray clutch purse, nice bracelet, lovely shoes. The green background is nice, as is the contrast of the young man to her right. The photo displays the motion of her walk down the street!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:58 PM) :

Amazing how your Dublin pictures show such NATURAL grace and superb skin it must be all the rain.Certainly refreshing from the OBVIOUS FASHION CAPITALS on your regular travel agenda. It shows off a verstility in your work not seen before, perhaps you have reached a maturity in your work that is expessing itself differently because there are so many out there that you have influenced and those how just copy your unique eye.The sign of a good snapper is to evolve ala Penn,Bresson,Bailey,Parkinson et al.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:59 PM) :

Thank you for finally posting a picture of a woman with breasts who doesn't look like she's about to waste away or be mistaken for a 13-year-old boy.

Blogger Joy Mars said ... (7:00 PM) :

Now that's what I call a sweater dress!

A memorable photo, Sart.

The color of the dress is so subtle. Against the strong green in the background, it really works. The bracelet, the clutch, the dark shoes. All very good. Totally works. Of course it would be really hard to make things not work on such a beautiful woman.

Gams a la Sart.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:03 PM) :

The only down side of these beautiful pictures is how they make you long to be on the street yourself when you're stuck inside. You can practically feel the breeze! This inspires me to pull out my sweater dresses. -Portland, OR

she needs a belt. this dress/long cardigan isn't doing much for her. It makes her look boxy in the midsection. A belt would define her waist.

I love this look. Your recent photos have truly been superb. I especially love the Dublin shots. Too bad that almost everyone has a cell phone in hand - I'm starting to notice this and it's detracting from the images.

Anonymous Maranda said ... (8:53 PM) :

Perfect - the picture and the look. I love it all including the necklace. It's old fashioned yet not. And also I love the green of the background, and the texture of the pavement they are walking on.

Blogger kahartland said ... (9:13 PM) :

Thsi is just perfect. By far your very best posted pcture from Dublin to date....love it love it...

Blogger Susie said ... (7:19 AM) :

Well after reading the comments I'm always surprised by all the different takes on the same outfit. I suppose it is "plain" but I prefer to call it uncomplicated. And often the looks many of us call good fashion are involved, complicated, and studied. This clearly is not and to me its very refreshing. Young, graceful, elegant and yes, simple. Love it.

Blogger Un samedi... said ... (7:24 AM) :

juste magnifique!

Blogger Cari Hislop said ... (7:36 AM) :

Another lovely photo...you have to wonder about a man who manages to be with a woman who looks like that and still has to answer his phone. If I was her I'd be thinking, "If I take the time to get dressed to go out with you and you ignore me for anything less than life or death...I'll be changing my phone number!" Of course he may be her brother or gay or a married work collegue, but still I really hate it when I'm out with a friend and they ignore me to talk on a phone. It's just rude. It's never important. I doubt he's talking some suicidal guy off a bridge. It's probably his mate asking him to come to the pub later to get drunk. I hope she uses her legs to walk off and find a more deserving companion!!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:41 AM) :

Gorgeous, gorgeous lady. And someone should tell the dude to tuck his shirt in when walking next to a goddess.

Buonanotte a tutti.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:55 AM) :

Loving the Dublin shots - more more more please...

Anonymous AnaPt said ... (8:32 AM) :

Simple and perfect! :)

It seems like all she's wearing is the cardigan and tha seems so romantic! The shoes and the bag, beautifull :)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:34 AM) :

she's far too skinny and good looking to be irish. most of the fashionable, attractive women you see in ireland aren't irish. they're too busy building up body fat and wearing a tonne of layers to protect from the weather.

the guy sums up most of what's wrong with irish guys fashion-everything he's wearing looks a few sizes too big for him. the shirt hanging out makes him look very slobbish too.

Blogger Lile said ... (8:36 AM) :

brilliant...romantic and cool in the same time

Blogger Jack Daniel said ... (8:42 AM) :

Hotness in Dublin. I can't believe my eyes.

Blogger elegancemaison said ... (8:55 AM) :

Breathless beauty, in looks and style!

I love your photos and am in the middle of devouring your book. Until I saw the Dublin photos I had concluded that Milan has the most stylish people of all the fashion capitals. But without doubt Dublin has the most beautiful women. Feel sad about London, which shows up poorly even in your 'street' photos. Yet I see many very stylish people, young and old attending the vintage fashion fairs there. Anyway, my daily aim is to 'up' the UK average as best I can with my own efforts, inspired by your photographer's eye, for which thank you!

Anonymous the fabulous miss k said ... (8:57 AM) :

It just goes to show that sometimes the simplest of outfits can look so elegant. She just exudes style and class.

Blogger sofiasophie said ... (9:23 AM) :

beautiful woman, and lovely shoes....

Blogger whyioughtta said ... (9:44 AM) :

Minimalism done perfectly.

Blogger Lucas Jones said ... (10:19 AM) :

SHE is perfection. The fellow next to her, however, is the antithesis of The Sartorialist.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:21 AM) :

You've captured perfection. Her expression matches her beautiful legs and shows how she balance a connection with and separation from her companion, who by the way, is probably walking faster because he looks pretty intense on the phone and oblivious to the beauty beside him!

Blogger Ste said ... (10:24 AM) :

I love the purse and the color of the maxi-cardigan.
I hope the man wasn't in the picture though. That's something that freaks me out about irish men.
Haven't Irish mothers (and fathers)told his little boys that shirts are nicer if ironed and tucked in?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:32 AM) :

She is absolutely lovely. This is just such a great example of stylish symplicity. The sweater dress shows off her marvelous figure with great understatement, and the lack of adornment focuses the eye on her beautiful face. Well done and well chosen.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:34 AM) :

Wow, that person who said most of the good-looking people in Dublin are not Irish ought to have been panned (if my remarks about Lagerfeld were).

There are three main Irish types: the red-haired w/freckles (Celts), the black Irish (black hair from the Spanish), and the blond, tanned type (from the Vikings). Sart, you have beautifully shown this in your three shots from Dublin. Remarkable of you!

I had forgotten how many blondes there were in Dublin. When I was home in October I was charmed by the loads and loads of very small, and very blonde tikes. (My mother, after all was accused by our neighbours of dying my hair. My brother's hair was nearly white.)

As for the tan, well, duh, Spain is not far away. Irish people also go on holiday.

Blogger Brummagem Joe said ... (10:44 AM) :

8:34 AM:

.....Utter nonsense......Dublin is full of svelte Irish women......some of them descended from the Anglo Irish protestant ascendency and some from traditional Irish catholic backgrounds....I know because I've been out with a few of them

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:05 AM) :

Yes, both are Irish and what a golden couple!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:12 AM) :

Blogger style hub said ... (2:47 PM) :

beautiful shot but honestly? the cardi/dress whatever it is - is pretty rubbish really - and the clutch looks like her make-up bag rather then her hand bag. Nice shoes, nice face, nice bracelet - change the dress and the bag.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:02 PM) :

I have that clutch, £15 from River Island!
