Love the whimsy feel to this dress. Very feminine.

Blogger Maria del Mar said ... (10:02 AM) :

...Nice picture & cute peep toes!!
:-)

Blogger Sartorial Vancouver said ... (10:03 AM) :

I like the vintage feel of the details on the dress and the red shoes.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:04 AM) :

Great idea that belt, keeps the dress from looking like nightwear. I like her smiley face :-)

Blogger Lolitta said ... (10:04 AM) :

I like the dress...can't get use to the belt with the dress. She is lovely though.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:04 AM) :

WOW What an amazing dress- complimented perfectly by the greatest accessory of all.. the hair!

Blogger Maggie said ... (10:05 AM) :

absolute genius!

Anonymous pollydollydoodle said ... (10:05 AM) :

Wow!! Absolutely effortless, and soooo pretty, shame about the cigarette!!

Blogger blue roses said ... (10:06 AM) :

the bold red, flirty shoe with the non-chalant, almost masculine belt with the sweet innocence of the dress is a perfect mix for me. i adore this look!

Blogger Jessica / Lola Vintage said ... (10:07 AM) :

The shoes are such a perfect match with the muted tone of the dress. RED SHOE DIARIES. Love.

Anonymous lotocist said ... (10:08 AM) :

i love this shot!

Blogger Gülben said ... (10:09 AM) :

she doesnt need the belt, dress is great, so is the clutch

Blogger Jorge from W Palm Beach said ... (10:12 AM) :

I LOVE everything about this outfit except for the belt! It seems that the dress already provides a break with the horizontal lacy strip. I love how she combined the textures of the smooth fabric of the dress, the luxury of the fur bag (vintage?) and the impulse of the red heels. More than anything, she looks happy and that is what counts! Jorge from WPB

Blogger Unknown said ... (10:12 AM) :

I love the red, but the belt makes it seem oddly proportioned. I do like it overall though!

Blogger joshylola said ... (10:13 AM) :

Lovely red peep-toe shoes, and amazing dress

Blogger diana said ... (10:13 AM) :

cute and feminine even down to the cigarette. so vintage yet modern

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:13 AM) :

loving the border! thats so audrey tautou adorable!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:16 AM) :

I love the dress, the belt and her pretty hair.

I would prefer different shoes so the dress would have got all the attention it deserves.

And a other way of holding her cigarette would have given it a more classic touch...

Though it is a very nice photograph!

Blogger john a. britton said ... (10:16 AM) :

i like the ciggie bom-bom.

on a serious note, the color of her shoes makes her outfit. she has a hint of dorothy from "the wizard of oz." i don't think we're in kansas anymore, but her dress has a little prairie aspect to it.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:16 AM) :

EMANUELE DEL FABBRO FOREVER!!!!!!

Anonymous Maria said ... (10:18 AM) :

It's the belt that makes this outfit. Without this belt it would look like she's walking in a nightgown. But now it's fabulous!

Blogger agatiszka said ... (10:18 AM) :

Lovely, especially with these shoes!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:24 AM) :

I don't get it. Why the belt? So...random, no? I do love the shoes AND the dress AND the bag - and even the belt, with something else - but not all together.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:24 AM) :

Not feeling it at all.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:25 AM) :

A sloe-eyed beauty with glamour; love the feminine, modern feel cinched by the belt and topped with cherry heels. Sensuous, I can even smell her cigarette...

Blogger FASHION SNAG said ... (10:28 AM) :

she looks lovely in that belted dress!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:31 AM) :

don't like the belt w/ the dress. love the dress and the red shoes!

Blogger amalie said ... (10:35 AM) :

that is very cute, love her dress!

Blogger SequinsandBangles said ... (10:37 AM) :

Love all the lace on the dress. It is a beautiful colour! Makes me wish it was warm enough here to wear something so pretty and light!

Anonymous Racquel said ... (10:42 AM) :

great smile. no posing necessary!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:43 AM) :

I'm surprised about this shot. As beautiful as her dress is and her shoes..it looks like he caught her with her eyes half shut and it bothers me that the tip of her shoe didn't make it into the frame.

Blogger Alina said ... (10:43 AM) :

lovely dress!love the contrast with the red shoes!

Blogger Meaghan said ... (10:51 AM) :

this is beautiful - the belt looks wrong but charmingly so. maybe it's her face. work

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:51 AM) :

I want to say: PEOPLE DO SMOKE! other don't. There's nothing bad in this. Stop with moralism

Blogger Cari Hislop said ... (10:55 AM) :

What is this obsession with belting everything? Is she planning on doing some weight lifting? The shoes do look heavy! I love the dress, the shoes and the bag; if she had to tie something around her waist I'd have suggested she use a long red silk ribbon the same colour as the shoes...the long ends would have fluttered against the skirt as she walked. Or she could have skipped the belt thing for a large red bead necklace that ended half way down the skirt. I should probably get dressed now and pretend I have a life!

Blogger anna kim said ... (10:57 AM) :

0o0o i love this dress, the frills on the bottom and all the laces

Blogger Stjarna said ... (11:00 AM) :

I love belted dress..if i could i put belt on every dress or skirt :)

Blogger vinh! said ... (11:12 AM) :

I love everything about this.

Anonymous Siobhan said ... (11:16 AM) :

Yes, absolutely Love the masculine belt with the ultra feminine dress. The colour palette - dove grey tone of the dress, neutral tone of the bag and brown belt are great together but the red shoes really set the whole thing off beautifully. Lovely, lovely.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:17 AM) :

thats so......Audry Toutou.... love the red shoes, shows a positive outlook in life :)

Blogger C A said ... (11:32 AM) :

She looks beauuutiful, oh my god! Awesome! Love the color of the dress and the mixing with the belt ^^

Blogger MJ said ... (11:43 AM) :

the outfit is great, but i have to ask when was this picture taken? because the weather is horrible the last couple of days, it is too cold for an outfit like this...

Blogger ingefaer said ... (11:47 AM) :

I have been in the situation myself of wanting to belt something that was cut under the bust but never could figure out if it looked right. It looks great doesn't it! It adds real interest to the dress.

Blogger Unknown said ... (11:48 AM) :

Fabulous dress and accessories. What a great look!

Blogger S. said ... (11:55 AM) :

Delicate silk ruffly dress paired with a man's belt. FANTASTIC. i'm taxing this idea. ;)

Blogger Miri said ... (11:58 AM) :

Lovely, looks more parisienne than italian though

Blogger Erin na'Marie said ... (12:00 PM) :

I love how the red of her shoes doesn't match the red in her belt.. Great outfit!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:04 PM) :

The belt just jumps out as so wrong to me. I do think the dress is very night gown-y and it looks like she got up late, left on her night clothes and stuck the accessories on - didn't look in the mirror!! - and left the house.
She's really pretty though, and looks happy with herself. Most important.

Blogger Ladybird said ... (12:08 PM) :

I want to be a french girl and look like that. Effortless chic. At any time.

Blogger Farrah said ... (12:13 PM) :

I love the entire ensemble. Wish I was skinny enough to pull this off. Is it the smoking that makes her so thin?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:16 PM) :

She is adorable, but that is an oddly placed belt.

Anonymous Style Odyssey said ... (12:20 PM) :

i agree, very "audrey tautou". i love this photo. so femme, very pretty.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:32 PM) :

The colour juxtaposition of the dress and the shoes is perfection.

Blogger Susan said ... (12:38 PM) :

I love the dress. The shoes brings out a punch to the outfit! Great outfit!

Blogger miss twinkletoes said ... (12:54 PM) :

Lovely! perfect combo blue dress/ red heels.

www.twinkletoes-golddangles.blogspot.com

Blogger Shihan said ... (12:59 PM) :

The leather belt is a nice touch! The red pop of the shoes brings the outfit to life. Overall, her ensemble partners well with her soft and feminine demeanor.

Blogger Chloe said ... (1:04 PM) :

Oh, love this.

Blogger Catwalk said ... (1:14 PM) :

the shoes are great!

Blogger Unknown said ... (1:18 PM) :

i fell her outfit is not quite
trendy..shorts and belt..

Blogger J. Magdalena said ... (1:27 PM) :

One in a million. She is such a doll. I can only imagine your reaction when you saw her!

Blogger bravegrrl said ... (1:43 PM) :

i adore this look, so sweet and sexy

Blogger uhuhuhjn said ... (1:50 PM) :

haha the expression on her face is funny

Blogger MeganRose said ... (1:59 PM) :

I love everything about this! Everything...she is stunning and the outfit is unique and perfection!!!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:03 PM) :

Something very scandalous about the look: mussed-up hair, a hint of lingerie in the lace detailing at the cleavage, red peep-toe platform shoes, a half-smoked cigarette, the carelessly tied belt, wrinkles across the dress and even the clutch carelessly stuffed under her arm. None very risque on its own, but combined, they evoke transgression. As a moment, it looks great. As fashion, I am a little less sure. It is, as Mr. Schuman often says, inspiring, at the very least.

Anonymous Maranda said ... (2:10 PM) :

Intriguingly haphazard. Works because she is young, pretty, skinny, and happy.

Anonymous The Photodiarist said ... (2:12 PM) :

This is one of my favorite posts. I love the whole look. The delicate whimsy of the dress roughend up with belt and then taken to new heights with the shoes. This picture is just wonderful.

Blogger Diane said ... (2:35 PM) :

this look is perfection!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:06 PM) :

Lose the belt, love everything else.

Blogger Zernike said ... (4:05 PM) :

Hooray, I was beginning to wonder where the girlie girls were! I love this feminine look, especially the hemline. Thanks for posting.

Anonymous Karen said ... (5:54 PM) :

this is a really nice outfit, but why is it still summer in Paris? Winter is ante portas in the northern hemisphere and I need some inspiration for my wardrobe!!!! So, PLEASE, post some dresses-according-to-the-weather outfits!

Blogger the goorgeous said ... (6:16 PM) :

Awesome outfit! Love the vintage dress and the belt and the shoes..Gorgeous!

Blogger The Spicers said ... (6:32 PM) :

Love the two very different looks on this woman.

Blogger Anastasia said ... (6:32 PM) :

oh gorgeous!!! does anyone know who made this dress...or maybe its vintage? really sweet....

Blogger Alvin said ... (8:59 PM) :

adorable!

Blogger Joy Mars said ... (9:54 PM) :

Everything's adorable, but she needs a bra. It goes way too close to looking like she's walking around in a boudoir without it -- especially with the "boyfriend" belt.

Blogger atwd said ... (11:20 PM) :

This is divine! Not too perfect and a little offbeat. What a great way to pair a soft dress with a vampy pair of heels.

Blogger BlogCoder said ... (11:42 PM) :

Love the belt and the red shoes, not a fan of the lace trimmings

www.ashluxe.blogspot.com

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:48 AM) :

soft and lovely!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:04 AM) :

love the whole thing...who cares about her bra? she looks sexy and self confident, she has everything to be just herself...PEOPLE! JUST BE YOURSELF! YOU WONT FAIL IF YOU ARE!

Blogger nothingness said ... (1:16 AM) :

such a cute expression, i like hw she tucks her belt!!

www.jetblackdye.blogspot.com

Anonymous lucia said ... (1:53 AM) :

She looks wonderful, her hair is just a dream, and that smile..!!!
I love the shoes, but the rest doesn't work at all. I get the belt in a way, cos without it, the dress would look like a nightgown, and she would look like walking home from "work" 3am. A bit scandalous, a bit whimsy, but cute anyway.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:06 AM) :

In 1982 I walked up to the door to pick up my daughter from day care; the door opened and 2-year old Molly squealed and said, "Red shoes!"

My outfit was so similar to this; just, no leather belt and yachting stripes on the skirt...

She is now a clothing designer; it was in her bones ;)!

Anonymous Pietman said ... (5:19 AM) :

love this lady's impish look, I agree she will look even better without the belt.

Blogger Miss Y. said ... (5:54 AM) :

Yes, I definitely feel this look.
The shoes, the dress, the bag, hell! Even the belt!
True love :-)

Anonymous AnaPt said ... (6:40 AM) :

I'm in love with this !!!

The belt, the bag and how well do those shoes look with the dress!!!!

So damn beautifull...

Blogger Beth Ruby said ... (7:39 AM) :

She looks like she has just thrown on this outfit and rushed out of the door. Love it.
And those heels are amazing!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:04 AM) :

What a great outfit. It's completely my style. Is this dress vintage, or do you think it's available right now? I must have it!

She looks so nice and timeless.

Blogger uhuhuhjn said ... (7:59 PM) :

i love her facial expression lol

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:40 PM) :

What I absolutely love about this is the belt! Her attitude is exemplified by the belt. It totally doesn't go - it's vintage and it's probably a men's belt cos it is so long but yet with her beauty and confidence it just works.

Blogger Catherine said ... (1:36 AM) :

so beautiful; I love the lace!

Anonymous Cecylia said ... (4:29 AM) :

Boudoir at its best. Pity about the cigarette.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:24 AM) :

She is not wearing a bra yes? I love that, makes the cut of the dress work so well.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:49 AM) :

The colour and shapoe of this dress is so feminine and the small belt and red shoes add a quirky and more edgey look, making the outfie soo much more grown up.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:39 AM) :

The way she holds the cigarettes seems so chic to me.

Iria.

Blogger jonzak said ... (11:56 AM) :

The shoes and the smile finish a marvelous look. Great moment caught in time!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:24 PM) :

that belt doesn't make sense with the dress. the belt is placed too high hear the below bust seam, its just too much in that area. i like her color use though.

Anonymous Amy Fabulous said ... (2:34 PM) :

I love everything about this photo - her loose yet put together coif, her expression, her classic yet vibrant red shoes...

heart!

Anonymous Naomi said ... (8:50 PM) :

I love that this outfit isn't "perfect"-- the overflowing purse, the wrinkled dress, the extra long belt... much more natural and very sexy

Blogger Eileen Marie said ... (7:49 AM) :

The lace and soft blue are pretty and the red shoes are simply bold and add a bit of sexiness a lovely pop of color and contrast. Great shot and well she has a pretty smile as well which doesn't hurt!

Anonymous gocha said ... (10:25 AM) :

great shoes! very sexy.. :)

Anonymous Lara said ... (2:51 PM) :

I love the sweetness of her dress. I think the belt doesn't really work though, it competes with the lace belting of the dress.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:46 PM) :

The woman is cute, and her outfit is so nice and feminine. However, she did not need that belt.

Anonymous Stevi Sunshine said ... (6:47 PM) :

Those shoes are fabulous! I'd have to do my own take on Dorothy from Wizard of Oz in those shoes for Halloween! I love the whole look and the sweet smile is the finishing touch!

Blogger LINDSAY said ... (8:19 PM) :

She's beautiful, I like the dress and shoes, not the belt. I wish her eyes were open.

Blogger Wanderlusting said ... (1:30 AM) :

there is something about this that
I am drawn to...maybe a feeling or the light....

Blogger Mark said ... (8:12 PM) :

I am simply in love! Beautiful woman and beautiful photo. I wish we saw more women like this.

Great photo.

Blogger Unknown said ... (1:18 PM) :

you cannot wear a belt with an imperial cut dress...absolutely

Blogger katie.bar.the.door said ... (2:55 PM) :

all 'round gorgeous! i love that unexpected splash of red with the shoes!

Blogger Mariana said ... (5:36 PM) :

love the whole thing!

Blogger Kate said ... (9:47 AM) :

I get Dorothy and Wizard of Oz when I look at her and I like it. The belt is a little off to me, but without it the dress would be too sweet.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:09 AM) :

I actually don’t think the belt does anything for the outfit but the choice of colors is interesting and it works great in this case. I probably wouldn’t have thought of pairing red pumps with this dress. I’d choose a different bag though.

Blogger Unknown said ... (6:23 PM) :

I fell in <3

Blogger Tim McFarlane said ... (12:23 AM) :

This is really cute on her. The belt seems a little redundant and a tad too thin for this look. Very nice dress and shoes, though.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:20 AM) :

Love the sweetly soft bosom of the dress. The cigarette adds the perfect dash of salt to the adorable femininity of this woman!
