I like the look - the warmth of the tie and vest. Reminiscent of a barkeep at a favorite tavern.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:06 PM) :

Love his retro look. Very dapper!

Blogger Andrew said ... (5:11 PM) :

Go Brandon!

Blogger southernfriedjordan said ... (5:12 PM) :

Love it! I like how he slightly mirrors the profile of the person in the picture behind him. He looks an old saloonkeeper. Thanks for repping the Southern sensibility, Mr. Reid.

Blogger FASHION SNAG said ... (5:15 PM) :

gorgeous photo of a gorgeous boy!

Blogger Stefan said ... (5:15 PM) :

I enjoy how the pose mirrors the portrait behind him. Otherwise, nice earthy colours.

Blogger Paula said ... (5:27 PM) :

Pulling off a bowtie is no easy thing. I live in the South and even here, well, it's a serious matter.

Blogger X said ... (5:32 PM) :

A beautifully framed shot.

And I love the vest!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:39 PM) :

What year are we?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:39 PM) :

The old-style portrait in the background is genius. You could take a black and white picture of him and post it right up next to the genuinely old portrait and they would mesh seamlessly.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:41 PM) :

Actually spoken with this guy at Billy Reid. Super nice guy, very helpful. Quite surprised to see him on here.

Anonymous Leeroi said ... (5:43 PM) :

I love the contrast between the brown printed bow tie and the grey sweater. Oh, and how the bow tie matches the background.

Blogger Girl - Personal Stylist said ... (5:44 PM) :

Cute!!! hehehehe

Blogger rose_early said ... (5:47 PM) :

Amazing! Wish I could see the whole outfit, though. I bet he has dapper shoes.

Anonymous Cin said ... (6:07 PM) :

Hm!! I can almost read his mind... lovely shot.

*he's gorgeous too* ^_^

Blogger Lance Miller said ... (6:25 PM) :

look at the beautiful freckles on his face - such focus.

Blogger Susan said ... (7:13 PM) :

The bow tie really brings out the outfit.

Blogger hc said ... (7:39 PM) :

Blogger J. Magdalena said ... (8:22 PM) :

I feel had he worn a white shirt, it would have made the ensemble too stark. The sky blue makes him look so perfectly put together. He knows what he's doin'.

Anonymous Patrick Bateman said ... (9:04 PM) :

Nice work. Saw this in your GQ work. I'm a big fan. Thanks

Blogger Amy said ... (9:12 PM) :

Great photo! I like how the two profiles work together.

Blogger Joy Mars said ... (1:29 AM) :

Great costume in a great setting. Great face. Love the whole project!

Let's dress like we respect ourselves -- the way we used to, you know, in the good old days.

Anonymous Stéphanie said ... (3:40 AM) :

Fabulous picture !

Blogger Barbara said ... (6:06 AM) :

Abercrombie & Fitch catalogue meets 20's New York. Very moody.........

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:43 AM) :

I think that the idea of wearing a bow tie worries many a gent. This chap shows that it is quite easy and comfortable. The blue shirt is so important here, white would have been too crisp.

Blogger Jorge from W Palm Beach said ... (8:06 AM) :

Gorgeous model and clothes, but then again they dont hire them because they're ugly. Question: the bottom 1/3 of the image appears blurry, was this intentional and if so why? Jorge from WPB

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:27 AM) :

cute! the bowtie and vest, i mean!
LOL

Anonymous Debarge said ... (8:27 AM) :

i just feel like diving into the depth of that vest! i shall hunt for one (even though it's summer in Aus!)

Anonymous AnaPt said ... (8:38 AM) :

I love his espression, the colors, the travel in time... congrats! ;)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:51 AM) :

This photo is sheer genius! (And he's not bad either.)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:46 AM) :

He looks like an old soul...great face.

Blogger Thomas said ... (12:12 PM) :

it works... it really works well.

Blogger Brittany + Casey said ... (12:13 PM) :

hello :) was wondering, what's this guy's name?

he looks so much like a friend of mine! :O

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:13 PM) :

where to get those vests?

awesome photo!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:48 PM) :

I can't get behind this look. Most of the looks shown here are someone who simply looks good with their clothes and their confidence in their style (cary grant style).

This look is too contrived...it is a perfect period piece and would look great at the bar in a movie scene but if I saw someone like this walking down the street I would be thinking "tool"

Blogger sdfljslkdj said ... (3:07 PM) :

Why don't more men wear these ties? It looks so dapper. I would ask this man to make me a sangria or a bellini.

Sweet lips. Lovely foto, with the marble bar.

Oh, I love this! Makes me want to order an old-fashioned drink from him.
