Behind the Scenes - Photo Shoot For L’Officiel Hommes

Yesterday Milan Vukmirovic shot a few portraits of me for the fifth anniversary edition of L’Officiel Hommes.

The timing couldn't have been better/the timing couldn't have been worse.

The timing was great because yesterday it was pouring rain almost all day, so why not stay inside and shoot or be shot.

The timing couldn't have been worse because fashion month has caught up with both Garance and me. We have both been sick with a nasty head cold that just won't leave. Also I have just about exhausted my wardrobe that was supposed to last for the entire three week trip.

It was great to watch Milan work, and have a little time to get to know each other. We did a small interview afterwards and Milan asked some of the most thoughtful questions about my work that I have heard in a long time.

The issue comes out in early December. I will make sure to post it when it is ready.

The deer? Don't ask!

Your success is inspirational! Congratulations on all of the good stuff that is happening to both you and Garance! As someone who has followed your blog since the early days when you used a Canon G9, I am deeply impressed with the evolution of your work. Cheers.

Slices of ginger steeped in hot water with lemon and honey will take care of the cold. Lots of it! Hopefully the deer is being treated as a guest!

So sorry to hear about the head cold!
I've never bought L'officiel Hommes before but I think I may well do so this December.
And I know I'm not supposed to but I gotta ask: the deer?

P.S. I'm with you - yesterday's Chanel défilé truly was a show, a theatre show, a rock show... a fashion show. And at this rate, fashion weeks are going to turn into fashion festivals, like Glastonbury etc. only posher!

Anonymous Invincible said ... (3:05 AM) :

ha ha ha.......
i like it

Blogger Maggie said ... (11:31 PM) :

Pretty sure that deer is stuffed. If you click on the pic and enlarge it, it's pretty obvious if you know anything about anatomy and every looked at a deer up close. Somehow it makes me feel better that it's not a totally terrified alive deer. I mean, heck I eat venison but I too have my limits!

Anonymous Irene said ... (7:48 PM) :

The first photographer is totally hot, love the checkered rugged look!
