Very Mr Ripley. Love it.

Blogger Pearl said ... (5:07 PM) :

ray-bans never seem to go out of style, in a good way. love the tie clip.

Anonymous jason said ... (5:15 PM) :

was never sure about my tie clips being larger than my tie. here i can see that it doesn't look so bad.

Blogger Soren Lorensen said ... (5:17 PM) :

like the clothes but not the glasses

the glasses are cool but not refined in the same way that the rest of the outfit is

Blogger Emee Pumarega, CMP said ... (5:20 PM) :

The suit on its own would be clean and a bit conservative, but with the shades and hairstyle combo, his whole look becomes something much more sexy and sophisticated!

Blogger RJ said ... (5:32 PM) :

"Back In The Day Fly." Royal RJ

Blogger Little Snoring said ... (5:37 PM) :

He's is Gorgeous! The tie clip is beautifully aligned with the top of his pocket! Very Organised!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:54 PM) :

is this a nod to 60s traditional? it's very nicely done. i appreciate that the cut of his attire is well informed.

Blogger sofiasophie said ... (5:55 PM) :

I love the al look; hos self confidence..and the glasses!

Anonymous davidsl said ... (5:55 PM) :

shirt collar is too small as is knot of tie. tie clip is too big. he's not showing any cuff at the wrist indicating either a short sleeved shirt [ugh] or that the jacket sleeves are too long. other than that, he looks like a very handsome office clerk.

the whole look works. it's masculine, sophisticated, tailored and wearable.

Blogger Bell said ... (6:55 PM) :

Im single.
retro is good option, I like more dared.
Well the boy is handsome.

Blogger Ljubica said ... (6:57 PM) :

i like the outfit of the girl beside him, although he does look lovely also, she looks cute, hip & relaxed

Blogger CW said ... (6:59 PM) :

Very late 50's/early 60s type of style, done well.

Blogger The Khaki Crusader said ... (7:12 PM) :

basic. well-done. peak lapels and the hair make it.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:25 PM) :

Tie clip = too wide for tie. I cant take my eyes off it. Dang.

Blogger Dandelion said ... (7:33 PM) :

plan me a wedding

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:51 PM) :

Oh, great! Grey slack and blue peaked lapel blazer make the Gods smile. A simple tie pin like that will be the subject of a week-end hunt. And God bless the Italian colours on the case behind.

Green like our hills.
White like our mountain tops.
And red like the blood of our fallen soldiers.

In Heaven be thy Glory. Peace unto the earth.

why 'the wedding planner'?

Anonymous Tao said ... (8:48 PM) :

very preppy

Anonymous Holly said ... (10:45 PM) :

They both look like an ad. for Ray Bans...Happy to see the denim jacket...I keep my stance on denim the go to Item that just always goes!!! I love her head dress. As I look at him I see some one that just came back from being on hold for 50yrs. like the Mcfly family on the movie Back To The Future. You got to love him!!!

Blogger Cristian Galvez Capstick said ... (11:00 PM) :

Here, in Chile, the kids wear everyday this look at the public schools.

Blogger j4ckb1ng said ... (11:32 PM) :

Very Mad Men. Just goes to prove menswear doesn't have to be faddish or extreme. Just quiet, polished, and well put together always carries the occasion.

Blogger Nick Leonard said ... (11:36 PM) :

Yep, I love his Ray-Bans.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:06 AM) :

i hate to be negative. sart, you always seem to get it right. but with this guy: the pant waist is clinging together for dear life, the tie bar is too large, and i'm not wild about these updated wayfarers lately. there's a feminine angle to them and they jut away from the face drastically up top. distracting. but i appreciate the nod to 1961 fashion.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:25 AM) :

HATE the Ray-Bans here, to me they look way to casual/angular for the rest of his ensemble. The jacket is great, like the monochromatic look the tie and jacket achieve. The Ray-bans have become so...run of the mill common to me it is hard to see them as something outstanding when paired with something like this.

Blogger Markmont said ... (4:46 AM) :

I don't think the glasses are necessary and a belt could really make the pants look better especially since the fabrication doesn't seem to lay too flat in the waist/top of the zipper region.

Anonymous suzanne nelson said ... (4:47 AM) :

Sharp! Love the way it looks like he's really not trying very hard but hits the nail right on the head. My kind of man.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:36 AM) :

This is Mark Niemierko, London's most stylish wedding planner.

Blogger RetroVintageModStyle said ... (10:18 AM) :

Very 60s Mod! He's just missing his Vespa.

Blogger Paul Walters said ... (10:23 AM) :

The tie bar should not be wider than the tie, and with a gig line like that, he needs a belt on. The elements are there, but fall short.

Anonymous Nicolas said ... (12:11 PM) :

He looks fantastic. It's clear he isn't trying to be anything but himself and it works. True style is about being comfortable with what you wear and not about the width of your tie pin. Great look.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:36 PM) :

The girl looks like Zooey Dechanel, who, by the way is engaged to be married.

Blogger Joy Mars said ... (2:03 PM) :

If that's a very pale blue shirt, I like it. But the total look is sort of a grown-up version of British public school uniforms. Well-tailored, of course.

Blogger Unknown said ... (2:17 PM) :

The sunglasses are awful! Really terrible.

Anonymous Personalized Ribbon said ... (3:54 PM) :

I like it.

Anonymous Kiran said ... (4:45 PM) :

Are dated style back in fashion? With narrowed tie, slim cut blazers, maid headbands and 60's glasses ;) Nice!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:53 PM) :

Mad Men and the Talented Mr. Ripley had a love child and here he is. Real 50s vibe, perfectly contrasted by the woman to the right.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:02 PM) :

He should actually have his jacket buttoned while walking. I consider this a bit sloppy. Straighten up that kerchief, too.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:44 PM) :

collar on his white shirt is sharpest aspect of look

Blogger Thomas said ... (7:00 PM) :

LOVE it..its all about attitude

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:49 AM) :

This guy is TRES CHIC

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:44 AM) :

No, gents... this guy has got it worked out quite well. As a wedding planner he has to be understated, simple and yet elegant. He can't take the limelight from his clients on their important day. He sits in the shadows as an inconspicuous marionette master ensuring all goes according to plan.

He has classic colors of authority there - gray, navy and white. You can entrust your wedding day to this guy knowing no-one is going to crash it.

Unless you think a dude with a purple raincoat and Hammer time pants can do it better.

Pietro

Anonymous wedding flowers said ... (10:28 PM) :

simply brilliant!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:57 AM) :

I would expect nothing less from Mark Niemierko who is without doubt one of the chicest, most stylish and impossibly talented wedding planners in the world!

Blogger Open Brief said ... (4:59 AM) :

Mark's addition to the sartorialist is long over due. What timeless style.

Blogger BOYWonder said ... (5:26 AM) :

super cute

Anonymous Obviouschild said ... (10:55 AM) :

interesting; always nice to see new stuff

Blogger Unknown said ... (2:41 AM) :

I like the look, but I'm a bit tired of seeing Way Farers on EVERYONE. It'd be nice to see some aviators on this guy.

Anonymous Charlotte K said ... (10:58 AM) :

Beautiful grooming--what hair! I love the look, very "young Michael York"

Anonymous paolo said ... (3:49 PM) :

Blogger Mordechai said ... (5:48 PM) :

damn hair pin on a tie.. not so kosher. a shorter tie bar isnt that hard to find, yet editors and stylistas across the globe just dont care.. this and wearing a straw hat in the fall are two trends i cant shake!

Anonymous David said ... (3:18 AM) :

They are definitely some weird sunglasses but I think they suit his face perfectly!

I'm pretty intrigued by the long tie bar/narrow tie combination, something I've been hesitant to do myself. But this pic has given me a bit of encouragement.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:31 PM) :

just love it!!!

Anonymous Cindy@ artificial silk flowers said ... (6:07 AM) :

Love the style:) the Ray Ban looks pretty cool too, it's timeless.
