Love the heals.
Love the heels. and the purple pants the other girl's wearing
Soooo much to look at here.
LOVE the shoes! All three ladies have absolutely fantastic shoes on!
a simple outfit that was made even better with that vest, great shot
fashionbyhe.blogspot.com
that is a woman!
that is how ALL women should dress! So classic and chic! very beautiful
Love this! (And the two girls on the right for that matter) Its funny that they all have very different styles--funky, preppy, classic-- and still look good together! Like a modern day Sex in the City!
So simple and so chic. And I adore how you catched the contrast between the way of dressing of these two ladies.
Love what she is wearing! Beautiful picture!
She has the seasonal transition process nailed.
Love the contrast of the tee shirt clad, super hero stance "Tough Chick" and the "Fly High" fem shoes.
gladman
A nice palette, a nice ensemble. Accents in the purple sunglasses, the shaggy vest and the magnificent high heels.
And confidence. Confidence is beautiful.
Hey. She looks really cool!
I read interwiew with you in ELLE Slovenia today. Cool answers (:
Peace and love!
That has got to be one of the coolest functional outfits ever!
i really like this! the main girl alone is great, but then when you scroll down and see all of their color and shoes... i love it :)

She looks very cool, but the cigarette in hand kind of negates the whole look for me. NOT a fashionable accessory. Is there a reason why 98% of the women you shoot are a size 2 or less? C'mon - more imagination please. There are plenty of larger chic women oozing with fabulous style that we'd love to see!
read an interview with Scott Schuman for Epilogue Magazine: http://epiloguemagazine.com/featuresartorialist.html
She looks great!!
Also love the shoes of the woman on the right!
Love the pants, top/vest...Especially the vest! Something about the shoes does not seem right for this outfit, even though a high heel works well...
you can tell u shouldnt mess with her!
cool
you can tell you shouldnt mess with her...
Yes. The coolest.
You mean the lady on the left, with the white hat ? She really is the coolest !I stand up for women wearing more fancy hats !!!!
www.frolleinvonsofa.com
Love it! She's got a cool attitude.
The pants, the shoes, the cig...
Definitely, the glamour is all from the waste down...
i love this whole look. especially the vest.
Those chics rock! Diggin' them purple heels. And that vest - knitted leather? Handmade?
I like that her shoes are the dressiest element of the outfit next to the vest. It's funny the only time I see people smoking anymore is on the pages of the Sartorialist. I'm not complaining--just observing.
so cool indeed!!
love everything on her look!

Wow! Interesting how the common fatigue-pants-and-army-issue-tshirt combo can be taken to a completely higher level by playing with the pleats and the proportion of the pants! Hopefully many many people will see this picture and be inspired by it. I also like the huge scarf on the right and the studded high heels, on the far right. Great shot! Jorge from WPB
heeellllloooooo heels. love it!
All three of the ladies pictured here look INCREDIBLE!!!! I am totally enraptured. I wonder what they do... who they are... Interesting shoe choices.
Now, the woman in the back with ALL THOSE SCARVES ... I would have loved to see a pic of her as well ...
Low key with a twist ? I like that. I must think about this every morning when I pick an outfit up. I'd love to have this easy confidence about clothes...
I love her shoes! She is so casual chic
I love the mix of textures in her outfit. I would have chosen chunkier heels, but the juxtaposition of the ladylike heel with the army green and the rough top. I wish the cigarette would not look as cool as it does. The helf of the woman on the right (the one with her daughter's jeans, not the one in the shocking color) looks great despite her scary gaze.
wonderful trio! i m not sure of who is the coolest ?! :) ...always inspiring pictures.
She's awesome (not many can pull off green pleated pants) and the ladies to her left are also quite brave for combining such vibrant colors/ patterns. Those heels are out of control (studded black and gold)!
The one missing accessory, maybe a smile. One too many accessory. the cig. Yuk!
La la la love the heels!
I luv this lady style

Very cool. Love the grey tee with the vest and the (Balenciaga?) trousers.
How about those flood pants, white socks, and chucks in the background, complete with the Gordon's fisherman hat? Go, granny, go!
I am all about the scarf on the right.
Oh, I love this woman! Modern yet not avant-garde, just basic t-shirt, extremely cool vest and cargo pants taken to the next level.
Terrific

Woow! She looks cool!

love her style!
shoes in NYC. How far do these women have to walk? I fear for their feet.
My favourite are the black and gold boots the lady on the right is wearing. Topshop? I think they do a similar pair.
I get my fashion inspiration from this blog, and I've been having fun with the cargo pants/fitted shirt look all summer. Sometimes I wear them with a fitted solid-color T, as in this photo. Other times I wear them with a shortish, semi-fitted, solid-color linen shirt. People have stopped me on the street to ask where I found pants with pockets halfway down the leg; yesterday, for the first time, my adolescent daughter put on a similar outfit; and now the look is featured here on THE style blog! Now to dig into the shoe collection ...
The panama-wearing older lady in the background, with her mid-calf length pants, white socks pulled up and sensible 'running shoes' adds a nice contrast to the shot ;)
I love The Coolest - she is, indeed!
Amazing look! Love everything about it!
Thanks for shooting these free spirited women. I appreciate that you do photograph women of a certain age.
the casual pants with a black sexy heel is such a great contrast! they all are doing it but differently. so fun!
whatcharitywears.blogspot.com
great shoe shoets on all the ladies in this pic!
Another commenter called it, these pants remind me of Balenciaga. I love how they are almost a throw back to the old cut riding britches. I love how look! Lust!in
my favourite look for long. she's incredible! super cool.
Je suis d'accord !
I have those pants, several pairs in fact. You can do everything in those pants. Very functional. Or less functional perhaps, if you like wearing heels.
Seriously, I'm going to try this tomorrow. I'll either look good or like Sonny Bono.
selle sügise ideaal
LOVE that vest! It totally makes the outfit for me. And the woman on the right with all of those scarves is killing it!
i love this look, it's the perfect balance of dressy/casual, of colour, cool/chic..
and i do have to say her friends are fabulous as well.. love those booties
Great pictures. Lovely women. To those who cannot help but comment on the presence of a cigarette in a shot - enough already!
My god, she looks like Coco Chanel circa 1930's. The hair, face, expression, cigarette - - amazing.
Oh my GOD! To all the people who whinge and whinge and whinge about cigarettes in people's hands- stop being so pedantic.
Seriously, this is a "photo" of a cigarette- it's not doing you any damage and let these people live their lives the way they want to.
I don't see how this photo is AT ALL ruined because of an inconspicuous little stub of white in her right hand. This is a picture that first and foremost glorifies fashion.
Love the look from head to toe (barr the cigarette), the texture on the vest is incredible, the cut of the pants, the colours, the heels...gorgeous!
All their heels are amazing! I love the diversity in all the clothing the women are wearing.
pleated pants are it. and lol at the old lady in the background to the left
-Pietro
Nice.
Clean- but still interesting- with out even really trying. I love the vest...and just the little hint of cobalt blue/ violet of the glasses.
:-)) :-)) :-)) Tres cool!!Ciao from a huge fan living in Amsterdam.
I am lusting after those pants. Can someone please, please tell me how I get my hands on a pair?
I think it is a german instyle shooting - isn't this annette on the right side, the EiC?
making pleated tailored pants look cool is a miracle!
love the trousers - where/who are they from?
LOVE this - demonstrating effortless ability to put a look together from seemingly disparate pieces...what style!
oh my god. does it get any better than this? it's perfect to me. i'm tired of all the bright colors. bring the neutrals w/ texture on!
Could someone please tell me who makes the green tapered pleated pant? I'm obsessed!
I love here, I want to paste this pic on my wall and use her for inspiration to get dressed every day, cool, chic and effortless. My favorite are the color of the shades and vest over that simple grey tee.
yes, she's totally got it! she's the coolest no doubt, forget about the other 2.
wow. love it. what more can I say.
Those black studded boots in the lower right corner are an eye catcher.
I don't see any problem commenting about a cigarette any more than commenting about any other accessory, for example her pants. Are we only *pedantic* if we say we *don't* like them? Are contrary opinions allowed on the comments of this blog? Because, if not, instead of "pants pedants", are we all just "pants sycophants"?
Adoro como se ve. Los tacos son demasido para mi.
Gabi desde lejos!!
I loved the white sox and snickers just behind her...
Something about this look befuddles me. I like the outfit from the waist down--chic, feminine. From the waist up, it's ...boyish? Kinda reminds me of super-hero dress-up.
I keep looking at it, thinking, it doesn't work!
But her way-coolness trumps my cognitive dissonance. For sure.
Also, just want to say, the dress reminds me of wings! (With feathers.)
looks great....
pity about the cigarette
khaki pants are amazing ;-) and shoes on the right site too ;-)
Thanks for the inspiration. This reminds me to not leave the house until I feel chic.
love the heels, I want the studded ones so bad!
classic french expression!
I love the hat
i'm really liking the lady on the left...now, let's talk about coolest on the street. It's really hard to pull off the socks and sandal look, but I think she's got it pretty much down. To me, though, what makes the outfit is the hat.
FAntastic look - shoes must be designed by men...how do those chicks walk around in heels like that???must be torture!
A good example of "change your shoes, change the outfit."
love the cuts of her pants, all the shoes here are awesome, excellent pic.
I loved it!
lovin' her periphery pals too! ponytail in purple is fab, and those studded gucci booties have haunted me since fall 08! great shot!
