On the Street....Stylized Prep School, NYC

I think the over sized collar and Dad's size tie has quite a charming effect here.

blegh, i think the jacket looks ill-fitting and the sleeves make his elbows look disjointed. no particularly striking sense of style or directionality.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:04 PM) :

I Really Love this look! its so wearable yet has an edge. Sophisticated yet not too sophisticated.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:13 PM) :

charming indeed! this photo could not be more perfect: the collar, the tie, the jeans, the phone, the haircut, the sticking-out ears. very boyish and endearing.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:14 PM) :

love this look.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:14 PM) :

agreed

Blogger Austyn said ... (10:19 PM) :

If Norman Rockwell had been creating during the era of cell phones...

Anonymous Fred said ... (10:20 PM) :

Young and fun.
(But his skeletal hands and wrists are a bit scary...)

Blogger Ashley Dy said ... (10:27 PM) :

I love the tie. :D

Blogger pink avenue said ... (10:28 PM) :

absolutely adorable and somehow avoids being too matchy-matchy

i think he looks like a flight attendant

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:53 PM) :

Catastrophe.

You are on a roll. Great shots today. I think his look is absolutely creative.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:00 PM) :

I love his outfit! It's more casual than the normal prep school look . . .

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:02 PM) :

I absolutely adore the half zip. Any idea where it's from?

sometimes it's so easy to put on a tee and jeans. thinking differently about the way we layer, adding subtle touches to an outfit, tweaking the norm is where the real character shines through.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:16 PM) :

an OK look, but this boy is far too skinny to have the attention be anywhere but his seemingly disjointed wrists!

Blogger bob pope said ... (11:45 PM) :

i dont think so

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:51 PM) :

typical of what a freshman FIT student would wear.

Blogger The Voguette said ... (11:53 PM) :

what a phenomenal look! i love the colorful tie and the pullover!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:54 PM) :

a successful youthful effeminate look.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:56 PM) :

love the look. enhanced by the contrasting rail-thin body and pudgy face.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:19 AM) :

I agree that it's a great look, however I also think it's hard for a grown man to pull it off.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:09 AM) :

sloppy sweat shirt melting off an oversized preppy shirt and tie

ugh

Blogger Unknown said ... (1:09 AM) :

He's trying so hard, but it just doesn't succeed.

Anonymous JSL721 said ... (1:25 AM) :

This is my friend Marc, hahaha, so funny. I don't mind the outfit, although it isn't my favorite.

Blogger Unknown said ... (1:31 AM) :

His hands and wrists are my favorite aspects of this photo.

Blogger jw said ... (1:36 AM) :

The clothes are cool, but it's really all about the cheekbones.

I'd kill for those cheekbones.

A fragile youth indeed. His lean body let's the attire dominate his presence, but that deep gaze is quick to command respect.

cute! I wish my boyfriend dressed like this, it would suit him!

Blogger SA said ... (6:11 AM) :

I really like the colours...
and the fact that he's super skinny.

Blogger Mr Brown said ... (6:58 AM) :

Ha ha!

Did I want to look like anyone older than me when I was his age?

No way.

Youth is about creating your own ideas, making your own mistakes.

I don't like this look and he wouldn't care.

Just as it should be.

Anonymous Debarge said ... (9:02 AM) :

i am enjoying the over-sized collar immensely!

Anonymous Holly said ... (9:57 AM) :

I think this is the way a school boy should look...focused!

Blogger Barbro Andersen said ... (10:06 AM) :

I love this, disturbingly cute!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:38 AM) :

He goes to my school! Aspiring fashion designer.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:48 AM) :

Doesn't he work at Billy's bakery? Cutie and so sweet!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:26 AM) :

The Norman Rockwell post was profound. He looks like he was transplanted from another era--what a lovely picture--and no he's not too skinny--he's still growing up

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:29 AM) :

Its an OK outfit but I think it would have been much improved had he gone less for the girly look and more of an androgynous one.

Blogger Thomas said ... (1:14 PM) :

i'm learning it's all about attitude and confidence...little about what is worn. LOVE this.

Blogger Sophie said ... (1:44 PM) :

this is utterly adorable!
not overdressed either, good one with the sweater instead of a blazer

Blogger rl1974 said ... (1:59 PM) :

Totally great. Tie says collegiate so perfectly.

Blogger Jennifer said ... (2:35 PM) :

Ah, so young. I love it. He looks like an A.P.C. model- I think he looks charming.

Blogger Heather Taylor said ... (4:39 PM) :

Now that is a good tie! You NYC boys need to hit the West Coast and assist the young ones out here :)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:21 PM) :

the outfit is awesome, simple but it works. thoes cheekbones are to die for.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:06 PM) :

he is a fashion student at FIT who earned an honorable mention at their fusion fashion show with Parsons. He seems to be stuck on the harlequin look.

Anonymous maxwellconrad said ... (8:10 PM) :

it's marc! haha, i was spooked when i saw his face on here.
i went to go tell him he was on your site, but it's already his facebook default.

with that said, i hate the tie.
sorry marc :/

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:06 PM) :

love you marc

Anonymous Uwe Noelke said ... (12:04 PM) :

Anonymous Denise- Just Pink said ... (6:24 AM) :

Lovely look

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:47 PM) :

Reminds me a little of Nicholas Hoult.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:56 AM) :

look at his mini arms and huge hands!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:29 PM) :

Oh my god, I know this guy - he goes to my school! His collection won for FIT this year at Fusion - he's a pretty talented designer. Check it out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mS3rCg6ovqg

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:02 PM) :

i don't know why this is so special.
just cheap looking tie and sweater.
is it because this guy is super skinny?
