That suit is fantastic! Loved the rumply, lineny look. Cool shoes to boot. (Pun intended.)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:49 AM) :

Cool guy, but I'm not sure the pushed up sleeves work. His expression is pretty entertaining though!

Blogger TMFA said ... (8:59 AM) :

What a cool guy!
Love the shoes a lot.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:59 AM) :

Poignant shot. I feel the need to reach out and brush my fingers across his arm... interesting.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:01 AM) :

What an interesting young man, and what a wonderful photograph. The contrast of the color of his shirt with his jacket, and the lovely way the collar and shirt sleeves protrude. The unevenly rolled up pants are cute, and the multicolored laced shoes add much to his wardrobe. The background in this photo of the buildings and the yellow cab is very nice. Can't figure out the expression on his face...

Blogger Jorge from W Palm Beach said ... (9:05 AM) :

No. The jacket has too relaxed a cut, with basically no shoulder construction, and he is pairing it up with a high collar shirt; they simply do not match. I do like the shoes. Overall, I think he would have had a nice outfit if he had gone more traditional, or if he had picked a different shirt to go with the suit. He is very young and that helps him look great. Blogger Helen said ... (9:05 AM) :

I love the pops of pink/salmon!

Blogger The Chukker said ... (9:06 AM) :

Oh, how wonderful summer is...this gent just got it right! Colors and proportions are perfect for that feeling of "dressed up" but not much...awesome!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:12 AM) :

beautiful! love his style. shoes make it.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:12 AM) :

oh! I need more details about his shoes... leather? canvas? or trainers may be?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:19 AM) :

I'll give the look credit for being bold, but between the ill-fitting pants and those horrible shoes I don't see much value in this outfit.

Blogger ginjin3 said ... (9:19 AM) :

this is damn cool! love the color combination, the textures, and the proportions are just right.

does anybody know where those jackets and pants are from?

Blogger Manuel said ... (9:21 AM) :

Blogger Unknown said ... (9:30 AM) :

Cool shoes! But why did he lift the sleeve on the jacket so high?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:34 AM) :

i don't know about this one...where's that timeless harmony that gives power to the individual who connects with it? :)

Anonymous selina ann said ... (9:35 AM) :

Blogger Unknown said ... (9:50 AM) :

I like the shoes and the colors of the suit, but whats up with everything else. I mean, where is the sense of fashion in this guy=?
Thats too risky for me, no doubt about that.
Theres a thin line between improvising and what a mess!!!
btw something that jumps this line and def makes it happen is::

Oh!

on dirait un ange... et pourtant il est noir......

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:12 AM) :

He's young, stylish and handsome - he's got a great fashion future!!

Question: Is the fully buttoned, collared shirt a new trend? I haven't seen it in any of the Fall fashion rags but you have captured it here a couple of times recently.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:19 AM) :

Fashion designers should see this man.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:20 AM) :

No, I don't think so. It's just too to . . . .

Blogger Diana said ... (10:40 AM) :

a great combination of old and new. And this peach/salmon pink is great on him.

Hey, Mr Sartorialist, there are a lots of photos of you on diff. blogs. I love the one when you wear your navy blue trench (or rain) coat. You look like an old- school sartorialist...like Hubert de Givenchy in his white gown :-))

Blogger Jess-Gab said ... (10:48 AM) :

he looks funny!i love how he mixes the colors!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:13 AM) :

Nice

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:47 AM) :

I love the suit and shoes! Not so sure about the shirt itself, and then especially with the jacket rolled up. But that's what gives the outfit its whimsy. It's pretty cool overall.

Energie

Anonymous Emma Howard said ... (11:50 AM) :

I wonder if he left the sleeves and pants rolled up when he walked away?

Are men in suits actually going without socks?Blisters on heels.

Nice looking man.

Blogger Marie El. said ... (12:00 PM) :

this is a classic, eternal and timeless one! the photo, the mood and the style!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:56 PM) :

All he needs now is cane pole.

Blogger Laura E. said ... (3:05 PM) :

Absolutly LOVE it.

Blogger Joy Mars said ... (3:44 PM) :

The designer as a young man.

Blogger cat minoki said ... (4:08 PM) :

wonderful on the first sight, on the second and on the rest!

Blogger Josh said ... (4:12 PM) :

loving the shoes and the un-even trouser lengths...

Blogger CW said ... (5:14 PM) :

Awful. Fit is essential to style and the jacket simply does not fit. And last I checked, Manhattan was not flooded.

Anonymous Questioner said ... (5:42 PM) :

He needs to learn when to say when.
Too many focal points so that it's just confusing. Either the shoes or the shirt with the blue suit would have been terrific, but both are too much and the Thom Browne proportion of the suit on top of it just screams trying too hard. (And isn't the whole stuffing ourselves into little boy suits thing played out yet?) The rolled up pants -- rolled up too far and unevenly -- are just plain silly.

Blogger Unknown said ... (6:04 PM) :

SHOES

are beautiful

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:27 PM) :

Love the shoes!!!!

Anonymous victoria k said ... (7:57 PM) :

colour combo=amazing!

Anonymous Sara Lua said ... (7:57 PM) :

He's wonderful. I love how he broke the austerity of his streamlined jacket and shirt with rolled cuffs. And then he punches it with patterned oxfords!

Anonymous Alexa said ... (8:02 PM) :

So dignified.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:18 PM) :

this guy looks so young. either way, he's got it.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:24 PM) :

I don't like it too much. Looks like his clothes got shrunk at the cleaners and has yet to notice.

Anonymous AnonymousJK said ... (8:32 PM) :

Sweet simplicity!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:16 PM) :

I love this photo. To me it's about playing with color pairings and wearing something formal in an informal, offhand way, rather than having a perfect look. Though for him, this may be the perfect look. He seems like a really intriguing person who knows how to pose! Lovely.

Blogger parisgirl said ... (10:48 PM) :

love it all - style, stance, mofo attitude!

Blogger Fay said ... (11:06 PM) :

Looks like he's wearing a charity:water wristband, which, if he is, makes his outfit even cooler. Love the colors.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:22 AM) :

I live by the following rule from the golden era when men used to know how to dress:

A man should look as though he bought his clothes with intelligence, put them on with care, and then forgot all about them. -- Hardy Amies

So are we looking at the same photo? Dignified? Sweet simplicity? How do you guys come up with this stuff? The look is contrived and convoluted.

Hey I saw him on Sunday. I think he lives near me. I couldn't stop smiling when I saw him on Sunday, and I'm smiling now. I love it!

Blogger ELM said ... (11:35 PM) :

I love this. The shoes are perfect. I'm doing peach and navy as my wedding colors, the photo only confirms the beauty of the combo.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:36 PM) :

This is ridiculous. If he was on a runway, it would be fine. But in the real world? Are you kidding me?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:55 PM) :

NICE shoes.

Blogger Unknown said ... (9:20 PM) :

This is just too ridiculous to comment on. Loving the shoes.

Anonymous Adriana said ... (7:56 PM) :

i LOVE how he is venturing out of the norm, and exploring a classic suit with nonclassical colors and fitting. The shoes complete the look with a very beautiful touch. He obviously knows how to dress to suit his skin coloring, body, and structure. props.

Blogger bluejean said ... (9:35 PM) :

Ludget is one of the most amazing men I know, Im glad you recognized greatness
