So beautiful ! all grey !
Lovely. Something a bit Grace Kelly On A Saturday Afternoon about this.
classic. stunning. love it! and her hair is spot on.
less is more, yes it is maturity. When you know, you need just the less suit, c'est magique!
Grace Kelly- gorgeous
Wow, that is so beautiful.. Just classic.I really can't think of any other way to describe!
I've said before, and I'll say it again- your blog is so inspiring.

Elegance-of course-but where emotions????Beautiful shoes.
It's astonishing. Specially if put in contrast with the young dress-for-the-freak-show in London.
This is very classic and feminine. Great outfit.

So simply elegant. The green bag is great.
Love how some women look elegant without too much effort, and I love her Bottega bag!
Wau,perfect:))))and nice...
so glad to see that classic elegance can defy the trendsetters with so much grace. timeless is always better.
grey, green, great.
Gray is such a beautiful color that makes everyone look classic. And of course a Bottega does not hurt, they are so much nicer than the Chanels you see these days. Subtle but beautiful.
Simple, Classic!

Sophisticated simplicity. A breath of fresh air.
Magnificnt...You caught the perfect example of lady like dressing...She is so approachable and unpretenious...She could show up just about anywhere and be the belle of the ball. You are on to something real here Scott!
Love it. Such understated beauty can never be underestimated.

For a second I thought I might be looking at Grace Kelly.
Wow... so elegant.
This lady is very easy on my eyes.
so simple and beautiful!
Class. Down to the Grace Kelly hair.
Gorgeous. Like a modern-day Grace Kelly.
I could not agree more.
Only in Milan you can find so fine women!
A modern day Grace Kelly. Lovely.
classic

Looks neat but natural and uncontrived to me. Noiseless elegance.
mais comment font-elles pour être toujours parfaites!!!
LOVE this. LOVE it. I want to be her.
Very elegant woman¡
Nice green bag¡¡¡A Bottega posible?
xxx
if the skirt were worn on the waist I might be swayed
but as it is...I would rather die.
grace kelly!
I love the simplicity of this outfit! Classic.
¡wow! TOUCH CLASS
BEAUTIFUL.
That skirt has the perfect length!
A bit too suburban for me -- and this in an major Italina town yet!
But on the other hand, the 50's allusion is kinda sweet.
If she wanted to model the bag, she's successful. It really sticks out. I'm thinking it's Bottega Veneta. A nice one.
perfectly feminine.
L-O-V-E-L-Y!
Elegant, elegant, elegant. As another person commented: very Grace Kelly. The design and colour of the structured green bag reinforces the 1950s look of the classic grey outfit while lifting the whole from bland to beautiful. I love this look.
Sheer perfection :) Grey is no longer "dull" ;) I love the shoes and handbag. Milaner's rock the fashion world!

I am all for simplicity, but in this case it needs a little someting.....maybe a scarf. Still lovely in a cool Hitchcock-blonde way.
Absolutely lovely. I love the way she carries herself too.
I love her look. She must feel so comfortable. Love the little peek of color on the sole of her shoe and I love the green bag. I wish they were colors which complemented each other a little better though. A subdued red bag would be stunning.
LOVE the hair! and the perfect green bag, makes me green with envy. lol
The kind of woman who will never lose her youthfulness.
Elegance at his best
I want that bag! she looks so elegant!
<3 The Voguette
I don't like the skirt but anything else is great

new post :)
Love it. She is just stunning.
I just have to say I absolutely love this picture. Pure elegance and simplicity. Love, love, love it.
I agree, strength and dignity
Stunning, yet simple.
This is how I want to look. Thank you for the inspiration!
Ooooh!
such a nice look, it's classic and cute but sooo sexy too!!
we have a new blog (in Spanish) about style, hope you like it!:
http://floresyrayas.blogspot.com
I'm going to say that I feel the top looks a little messy. The top is casual enough to be tucked in, adding to the whole refined look without it being too stuffy. But don't get me wrong- I think the look is top notch. She is lovely!
i should love to see her walk a little... i imagine a lovely and light lilt to her step!
My favorite combo: comfort & style. She's effortless and very Grace Kelly!
i like grey and gray while this is a very smart look, it lacks umpfh. perhaps a round toed black pump ...something.

But green and red ARE complimentary - opposites on the colour wheel. I think the red sole and green bag work beautifully together and yet don't match, they don't need to. It works wonderfully with the grey too :)
Oooh, how elegant! Classic.
Wow...what a throw back look. I LOVE it!
awwww. . . tres mignon.

Absolutely. Do your utmost to sever yourself from a street-full of sheep and do so intelligently. Perfetto.
Pietro
stunning in it's simplicity.
timeless and classy, very nice!
She looks like royalty! Yeah she reminds me of the Argentinian crown-princes of Holland: Maxima
Just beautiful! Very graceful.
I completely agree with your comment. grey and green-understated and elegant.
I love this look, espcially the subtle addition of colour with the green bag. She reminds me of a young Miuccia Prada.
one of the most sophisticated I've seen on your page so far and I've been with you from the beginning. Understated, no logos, simply elegant- like she's about to meet Cary Grant on a steamship.
She's very classy and the outfit is indeed simple and beautiful, but the top is a very matronly cut for such an attractive and slim woman. I think she needs a more fitted top and a belt, but I can certainly imagine what a vision she must have been in the context described.
JUST CLASSY!!!
I've kept watch on you site for quite a while and I agree that she shows the most elegance and sophistication of any of you subjects. My heart is thumping hard...
Oh, this is so beautiful!!!!!!!
beautifully lady-like.
I have a gray gunex wool skirt and gray merino wool boat neck sweater that pair similar to this ensemble. something about the subtly slouchy take the fifties lines, in gray, that feels so luxurious. i don't know what it is. any ideas?
Oh, hello! She is so elegant!
what a beautiful picture. I love the gray with the pop of green. I think heels that are a little lower would be better for the overall look though.
(My comment is unoriginal, but only because it's true) ... GRACE Kelly ... <3
xx
Perfect.
http://closetaltar.blogspot.com/
Oh! i stopped and stared at this picture. She is timeless and perfect. Wow.
Love this look Simple & Elegant.
So Grace Kelly!
Sophisticated lady. Timeless and efortlessly chic.
Classic daytime beauty. Really so charming...
Very elegant, muted and modern look. The green bag is great compliment.
She appears classic and sophisticated. I believe that the heels are a large part of what gives her the added elegance. The green purse is a bonus. My favorite color!
http://fabulousheels.blogspot.com/
very lady-like
Perfetto! She looks absolutely gorgeous. This is my favourite shot ever. Yes, very Grace Kelly....
very graceful...classic elegance...can't beat it...I wish more women dressed like this
your words are very apt
A real eye turner. The whole issue of monotone versus contrasts is a fascinating one. Most of my life I've worn classic clothing but with contrasting "power" ties of one sort and another but I'm starting to appreciate the potential of monotone ties, shirts and suits providing it's done skilfully. Done unskilfully it just looks dull. This lady presents a great example of how simplicity and monotone when done properly can blow you away.
what legs! She does not try to bring attention to herself but your attenion is brought by the elegance and by the beautiful legs.
Th smoking, black wearing, trying too hard kids should take a look.
Simplicity is always better. Perfect.
PERFECTION. If only more women dressed like this. But then again if they did I probably would never have met my wife...
Totally agree with you here Sart!
chicissime 8
not sure about the green purse (the choice of colour, in particular). It takes the effect away somewhat...
Phew... That's a welcome respite from London's stylistics aberrations!
people, this is boring. it is what carine roitfeld means when she says italians just do the prada look all the time. no risk at all.
Beautiful. I cannot decide about which actress her outfit reminds me most. Bacall, Kelly or Audrey Hepburn???
This is so Prada!
One of my all time faves from you. I want everything she is wearing.
to lady d: but it's so EASY to do risky. the hard thing is what she has done: worn elegant clothing while being sexy and a little unexpected (green bag, rather tall heels) and a totally gracious, sunny manner. that is something you cannot fake. She looks GREAT.
THAT is a spectacular look. she accomplishes what few are ever able to accomplish, that is: grave and style in a way that appears effortless and livable. It looks so elegant and class in an individualistic way that reminds me of the simplicity of early Chanel. and the monochromatic look makes it that much better with just enough of the green to make you want to come back for a second glance.
Simple, Elegant and Lovely!!
The shoes are probably Louboutin's Very Penny.
Bordering on dowdy. If this look were in the Banana Republic catalogue, would it get so much praise?
hm, i find it too petty bourgeoise....not my cup of tea
Well said.
very old money...buy a few quality pieces each season...wear them for a few months and never look at them again. it is true elegance to dress like this
Very Elegant and so comfortable. I love it.
this is what i want to look like
This site captures what people actually wear and that's what is so great about this look - she doesn't look "stylized" but like a woman who gives the appropriate amount of time to her look and then just wears it. Also, for us blonds with fair skin who look washed out in black, grey is the perfect alternative, as she demonstrates. And, her green bag is revelation.
Wonderful!!! So chic!
Gorge! Love her hairstyle, dignified posture and the drape of both pieces. I don't love the bag, but that's all right.
I think although this outfit is simple, the cut of the shirt on the shoulder and neckline and the length of the sleeve make it very elegant, like a shirt from the 40's or 50's.
Gorgeous ... the grey is beautiful and the shoes are a dream.
Absolutely stunning, so graceful and gorgeous
A perfect outfit
she is simply perfect..
Perfection. I love this photograph: classic style, carefully edited.

So elegant and so chic!!!!
beautiful and very elegant!!
the lady , is she the actress Laura Morante ?
What a beautiful woman and lovely outfit. She manages the proportions of the top and bottom well. It could have easily been unflattering, but the fit is perfect and the short sleeves and bare slender legs let you see just enough.
The color of the bag is marvelous with the gray, and the shoes are very flattering to her slender ankles. If only more young women had the confidence to leave a bit to the imagination like she does.
This is so classy! It's got a slight fifties feel to it- but it totally works on her!
Wow she is beautiful! And what a great outfit... I've never liked an all-gray outfit before!
